Abstract:
Constructing transport models is a relevant tool for solving various transport problems. The article discusses one of the important stages of creating a transport model — building a graph of a street-road network. The examples of the graphs of the street-road network of cities developed by the authors are presented. Special attention is paid to the features of road classification when developing a graph. The analysis of normative documents, in accordance with which a class is assigned to roads and streets in the Russian Federation, is carried out. Three ways of developing a road network graph

The article presents the problems of threats related to the transport of dangerous goods in road transport as well as statistical data on such transports. Some of the terms that appear during threats as well as the division of dangerous substances have been interpreted with a detailed description of their impact. Basic legal acts during transport were presented, including control, packaging, marking, safety rules as well as emergency procedures.

Abstract More than 1,24 million people die each year on the worlds roads and between 20 to 50 million suffer from nonfatal injuries. The UN Road Safety Collaboration Meetings under the leadership of WHO developed the Programme for the Decade of Actions for road safety taking nations into the responsibility of improving their accident figures by the five pillars of a national Road Safety Policy, safer Roads, safer Vehicles, safer Road Users and Post Crash Care. It is this Safe System Approach that takes into consideration the land use, infrastructure and transport planning, road user’s abilitie

One of the obstacles to the spread of rail-road intermodal freight transport is the lack of efficient container handling equipment on the rail-road hubs. The known and widely used solutions (gantry crane, reach stackers) are apparently not able to increase the volume of intermodal transport. The goal, which is uniformly desired by the professionals, the growth of rail-road intermodal freight transport, can be served by a container transhipment device that allows unit loads to be transferred between road and rail vehicles even under railway contact line. The aim of this paper is to explore the relationship between the features of Longer Combination Vehicles (LCVs) and road safety issues. LCVs are road vehicles that exceed dimensions of a typical or standard heavy truck‐trailer or tractor‐semitrailer combination vehicles in length or length and weight. The systematization of LCVs is done. Several areas, which are likely to benefit through LCVs, are listed and described. The analysis of literature review is made in the areas where additional problems may be encountered using LCVs. Several engineering factors such as resistance to rollover, swept

This study justifies the contemporary importance of efficiency analysis. The theoretical concepts of technical, allocative, and economic efficiency are presented. Empirical problems are addressed, with different ways of measuring efficiency and their inherent disadvantages presented. A theoretical application is given for haulage firms operating on Spanish roads in six subsectors with panel data. The liberalization of goods road transport policies in the 1990s has engendered a more technically efficient reorganization of road transport regions, which will result in innovations in transport ser
