Esta é uma pesquisa quantitativa e teve como objetivo investigar a qualidade de vida de motoristas de caminhão usuários do Programa Rodopac. O método utilizado foi a coleta de dados fornecido pela Concessionária Rodonorte e à aplicação do questionário Inventário de Qualidade de Vida. população foi composta de 206 (Duzentos e seis) motoristas de caminhão usuários do Programa Rodopac - Atendimento Exclusivo ao Caminhoneiro, ofertado pela Concessionária Rodonorte na BR 277, BR 376 e BR 151, próximo às cidades de Campo Largo, Balsa Nova, Ponta Grossa, Carambeí, Jaguariaíva, Piraí do Sul, Ortigueira e Mauá da Serra, no estado do Paraná. A coleta de dados foi realizada durante os meses de Junho, Julho e Agosto de 2002. As ocorrências ressaltadas dizem respeito à aplicabilidade da Ergonomia, ciência que estuda a relação entre o homem e seu ambiente de trabalho. O resultado desta investigação permitiu perceber que a dimensão da saúde demonstra maior necessidade de atenção, por apresentar variedade de distúrbios preocupantes, tais como: má alimentação, aumento de peso, problemas digestivos, sedentarismo, ansiedade e angústias. A qualidade de vida é de dimensão multidimensional e deverá ser constantemente analisada, visando o equilíbrio psico-fisiológico deste profissional, de forma a gerar melhor saúde, por expressar-se diretamente na maneira de viver e de trabalhar. This is a quantitative research and had as objective to investigate the quality of life of the drivers of truck users of the Rodopac Program. The used methodology was the datacollecting supplied by the Rodonorte Concessionaire and to the application of the questionary Inventory of Quality of Life LIPP (1996). The population was composed of 206 (Two hundred and six) drivers of truck users of the Rodopac Program - Exclusive Attendance to the truck driver, offered by the Rodonorte Concessionaire, at Br 277, BR 376 and BR 151, near to the cities of Campo Largo, Balsa Nova, Ponta Grossa, Carambeí, Jaguariaíva, Piraí do Sul, Ortigueira e Mauá da Serra, in the State of Paraná. The collection of data was carried through during the months of June, July and August of 2002. The salient occurrences say respect to the applicability of the Ergonomics, science that studies the relation between the man and its work environment. The result of this inquiry allowed to perceive that the dimension of health demonstrates bigger necessity of attention, for presenting variety of preoccupying riots, such as: bad alimentation, increase of weight, digestive problems, sedentarismo, anxiety and anguish. The quality of life is of multidimensional dimension and will have to be constantly analyzed, looking the psicophysiological balance of this professional, of form to generate health better, for expressing itself directly in the way to live and to work.

Any project requiring human cooperation is subject to divergence interests among parties, which can clearly be observed in infrastructure projects. In modern societies, conflicts of interest are usually mitigated by contractual arrangements, in which, if well delineated, provide the right incentives for cooperation. However, contracts are incomplete, especially those of road concessions, characterized by their long duration and high investments, and therefore they are subject to risks. In this scenario of uncertainties, one of the main risks is the demand risk, i.e., the risk of volume of traffic carried out is lower than projected, affecting the continuity and profitability of the project. Therefore, the present evaluates who should bear the risk of demand in road concessions in Brazil: a private entity, which currently supports this risk, a public entity, or both (shared). To answer this question, the Incentive Theory, together with several international case studies, have been analysed. The presente paper categories the need to transfer risk from private to public administration according to the degree of risk criteria, such as demand risk and risk aversion
Concessões rodoviárias são caracterizadas por seu longo prazo de duração e pelos investimentos elevados, estando, portanto, sujeitas a riscos. Nesse cenário de incertezas, um dos principais riscos é o de demanda, i.e., o risco do volume de tráfego realizado ser inferior ao projetado, afetando a continuidade e rentabilidade do projeto. Dessa forma, o objetivo da dissertação é avaliar quem deveria suportar o risco de demanda em concessões rodoviárias: o ente privado, quem atualmente suporta majoritariamente este risco, o poder público ou ambos (compartilhado). Para esclarecer este ponto, o tema foi analisado à luz da Teoria dos Incentivos e foram averiguadas as práticas internacionais adotadas.

Full textThe research has been carried out with the main aim to determine distributional patterns of two genera, Merodon Meigen 1802, and Cheilosia Meigen, 1822, in Southeast Europe region. Cheilosia and Merodon are the most numerous phytophagous hoverflies genera.Southeast Europe has been chosen as the specific region of interest to analyze species distribution due to its specific combinations of historical, abiotic and biotic factors that determine the species distribution.In the area of Southeast Europe, a total of 202 species of Merodon and Cheilosia have been recorded; 121 species belonging to the genus Merodon, and 81 species belonging to the genus Cheilosia, being a region exceptionally rich in species of the two genera. This conclusion has been supported by the fact that 79 (39%) endemic species has been found in the region. With regard to the gradient latitude, species of Merodon and Cheilosia genera show a different distribution pattern. More precisely, it has been shown that the number of Merodon species decreases from the south to the north, while the opposite pattern is true for the species of Cheilosia genus.In order to analyze the responses of hoverfly species to landscape structure, land cover analyses were performed using GIS tools and related ecological software. Merodon and Cheilosia species differ in their responses to land-use change and connectivity, with the latter genus being positively correlated with connectivity and negatively correlated with all other variables. Connectivity is the primary factor affecting Cheilosia, while most Merodon species demonstrated greater resistance to changes in human-modified ecosystems. These results suggest that different management efforts, focused on land-use intensity (grazing) or connectivity, seem to be appropriate when trying to conserve these taxa.In addition, the study examined the quality of habitats in landscapes of different characteristics (spatial and temporal), using SyrphTheNet database, in which species of the Merodon and Cheilosia genera were used as bioindicators. Species of the two genera proved to be very good indicators of the current quality of the study area, as well as changes over a longer period of time. Correlation analysis has found a significant relationship between the changes of landscape parameters for a period of 25 years and the loss of species and quality macrohabitats on 17 investigated study sites.

Resumo: A utilização de hidrogênio em veículos com células a combustível apresenta-se como uma solução que pode causar baixos impactos ambientais, além de poder trazer maior segurança energética, uma vez que pode ser produzido através de recursos energéticos disponíveis em cada país. Neste contexto, e considerando que o transporte de passageiros configura-se como um serviço público fundamental para a integração entre as regiões e os países, nessa tese focou-se no estudo técnico, econômico e ambiental da implementação de uma rodovia preparada para atender a demanda de hidrogênio no setor de transporte coletivo de passageiros. O trajeto escolhido foi à rota que une a cidade de Assunção/Paraguai com a cidade de São Paulo/Brasil. Especial ênfase foi dada ao custo de instalação e operação das estações de hidrogênio produzido através da eletrólise da água. Na análise colocaram-se duas possibilidades, sendo elas, i) a introdução de apenas um ônibus movido a hidrogênio, situação denominada de substituição mínima; e ii) a substituição de toda a frota que atende a rota em estudo, denominando-a como substituição máxima. O custo de implementação da primeira situação é de aproximadamente US$ 5,0 milhões e o custo operacional anual é de cerca de US$ 1,0 milhão. Com a segunda situação, o custo de implementação aumenta para US$ 17 milhões e a operação anual fica em torno de US$ 5,0 milhões. No caso do Paraguai, o custo do hidrogênio varia entre 8,50 US$/kg e 18,66 US$/kg. No caso do Brasil, estimaram-se entre 17,07 US$/kg e 28,30 US$/kg. A análise ambiental considerou as emissões evitadas de carbono com a substituição de óleo Diesel por hidrogênio eletrolítico em toda a frota de veículos. Para tanto, foi utilizada uma metodologia aprovada pela UNFCCC no âmbito dos projetos de MDL e que poderia ser aplicada para empreendimentos como o proposto na tese, obtendo-se como estimativa uma redução de emissões de 2.098 tCO2/ano
Abstract: The use of hydrogen in fuel cell vehicles is presented as a solution that may cause less environmental impact and as a mean of addressing energy security, considering it can be produced by energy resources available in each country. In this context, considering the passenger transport as a service in the public interest for integration between regions and countries, this thesis focused on technical, economic and environmental analysis by implementing a highway prepared to cover the hydrogen demand in the passenger transportation sector. They chose route is that one joins Asuncion/Paraguay and São Paulo/Brazil. Special emphasis on the installation and operation costs of hydrogen stations produced through the water electrolysis was given. Two possibilities were set, i) the introduction of only one hydrogenpowered bus, condition called minimal substitution, and ii) replacing the whole fleet that serves the route, called as maximal substitution. The implementation cost of the first one is roughly US$ 5.0 million and an annual operating cost of about US$ 1.0 million. In the second situation, the implementation cost amounts to US$ 17 million and annual operating around $ 5.0 million. In the case of Paraguay, hydrogen production cost varies between 8.50 US$/kg and 18.66 US$/kg. In the case of Brazil, the estimated costs vary between 17.07 US$/kg and 28.30 US$/kg. The environmental analysis performed verified the availability of an approved CDM methodology and its applicability for similar proposals, a reduction of emissions equal to 2098 tCO2/year, was estimated

Full textIn Brazil, the number of traffic accidents is increasing in recent decades, and speeding is one of the major causes of accidents on highways, which contributes to the possibility of accidents. The speed used by the driver is determined by the geometric elements of the road (radius, slope, lane width, etc). Geometric design consistency does not affect the expectation of drivers and ensures a safe operation. Most drivers can perceive coordination failures, but, technically, they are unaware of their source. This research aims to perform a consistency analysis of a stretch of a Brazilian multiple lane highway with a high rate of accidents and large number of commercial vehicles. Thus, the sections with a higher accident occurrence were identified, and speeds were measured to determine the operating speed (V85) and, subsequently, to develop a model to predict operating speeds. With this model, the design consistency was analyzed using the method of the safety criteria. This analysis identified two sections with consistency problems. Finally, it was verified if these sections correspond to the sites with higher accident occurrence: tangent T5 precedes a curve with a high number of accidents (km 511+000); the site with higher accident occurrence (km 514) was classified as FAIR.

O presente trabalho teve como objetivo principal o estudo das transformações ocorridas na paisagem urbana, nas margens da rodovia SC 401 no norte da Ilha de Santa Catarina, no período compreendido entre os anos de 1991 e 2004. Através deste estudo foi possível realizar uma caracterização de um trecho urbano, de modo a detectar os determinantes que influenciaram as modificações locais e, consequentemente, os processos de urbanização; com o objetivo de propiciar a compreensão da influência das inserções urbanas no espaço local. Para tanto, foi realizado inicialmente um levantamento histórico da cidade e da área de estudo anterior ao período de análise. Posteriormente, foram estudadas teorias de ocupação do solo urbano e, em um terceiro momento, foram levantados dados do local, em dois períodos diferenciados, para a detecção das transformações ocorridas. Desta forma, este trabalho buscou delimitar pontos que devem ser avaliados durante uma inserção urbana e que auxiliam na compreensão dos impactos causados no espaço e na dinâmica local.
