Set theory is a fundamental branch of mathematics that deals with the study of sets, their operations, and the relationships between them. It also discusses key results in the theory, such as the Axiom of Choice, the Zermelo-Fraenkel axioms, and the concept of cardinality, as well as the role of set theory in o

Standardized weights and measures play an important role in the economies of complex societies. I propose a shift in emphasis from individual weights to sets of weights as the primary units of analysis. Using cases from the Aegean Bronze Age, I present a method for reconstructing sets of weights, offer criteria for their analysis and discuss the implications of this new perspec

AbstractWe analyze non-cooperative environmental policy when the only strategic interaction between countries is through bilateral transboundary pollution, i.e., countries are closed or small open economies. Under simultaneous moves, there is no carbon leakage. However, in the sequential-move game, carbon leakage occurs; the leader sets its pollution tax lower than that in the simultaneous-move game and lower than the marginal damage from own pollution, while the follower sets its tax higher than that in the simultaneous-move game. The only motive behind the leader's underregulation of own pol

This proposed research paper focuses on the candidate key to generate a frequent pattern from the large dataset. The functional dependency and candidate key rolling are major activities for creating and collecting the exact pattern to support the decision support system. The functional dependency helps a decision support system to assemble metadata to resolve the uncertainty, unstructured, and unordered data. The large data sets (BigData) can be reassembled through Java programming faster and better by applying combinational algebra. The candidate key is directly proportional to the set of met

Abstract:
We lay the theoretical foundations of a novel model, termed picture hesitant fuzzy rough sets, based on picture hesitant fuzzy relations. We also combine this notion with the ideas of multi-granulation rough sets. As a consequence, a new multi-granulation rough set model on two universes, termed a multi-granulation picture hesitant fuzzy rough set, is developed. When the universes coincide or play a symmetric role, the concept assumes the standard format. In this context, we put forward two new classes of multi-granulation picture hesitant fuzzy rough sets, namely, the optimistic and pessimist

Abstract:
In six studies ( N = 2,340), we identified one source of people’s differential support for resettling refugees in their country—their beliefs about whether the kind of person someone is can be changed (i.e., a growth mind-set) or is fixed (i.e., a fixed mind-set). U.S. and UK citizens who believed that the kind of person someone is can be changed were more likely to support resettling refugees in their country (Studies 1 and 2). Study 3 identified a causal relationship between the type of mind-set people hold and their support for resettling refugees. Importantly, people with a growth mind-set

Abstract:
The article discusses the notions of plurilingual and pluricultural competencies and the variations between plurilingualism and multilingualism. Although numerous researches have been done by western scientists in this field, it is a new field for Asian countries. It is also an essential issue for our modern multinational societies in which we live. Besides, this paper sets out to clarify the theoretical framework promoting the plurilingual and pluricultural competencies in educating FL and to reveal the significance of these capabilities in language education.
