Abstract In order to achieve the governance of urban water environment systems and ensure the normal operation of urban drainage systems, it is necessary to regularly inspect the drainage pipe network to detect and identify defects. Traditional methods of manually identifying defects in Close Circuit Television (CCTV) data and annotating them are labor-intensive and inefficient. To address this issue, a method for automatic identification of pipe network defects based on convolutional neural network (CNN) and transformer is proposed. The model is named RFCBAM-CGA-RTDETR and has been applied to

Drawing on content analysis of news broadcasts over two years, the chapter argues that the network typically curates factual news in terms of the topics covered, the expertise platformed, and the resultant framings. Even prior to 2022, however, its coverage differed from that of world-leading international broadcasters, with populist communication postures that included the privileging of stylistic informality and sarcasm, conceived as a performative fight back against mainstream news aesthetics. Abstract:
Abstract China’s biggest global state media outlets have been at the center of its renewed soft power campaign. China has poured billions into the expansion and modernization of Xinhua and China Global Television Network (CGTN) in particular. Indeed, CGTN has tried to build itself a presence that could rival other global broadcasters like Al Jazeera, RT, the Turkish global broadcaster TRT World, and, the Chinese government hopes, giants like CNN and the BBC. Sometimes, China has tried to copy the conspiratorial success of RT; other times it has tried to be more straightforward, like Al Jazeera
