Abstract:
Background: Although Bankart repair with remplissage is commonly performed to treat anterior shoulder instability, there is limited information on specific outcomes or patients’ fears regarding return to sports (RTS). Purpose: To study recurrence rates, pain, shoulder function, active range of motion (ROM), RTS rate, and patients’ fears and expectations for RTS after arthroscopic Bankart repair with remplissage for anterior shoulder instability. We compared these outcomes with those after Bankart repair alone. Study Design: Cohort study; Level of evidence, 3. Methods: A retrospective cohort study was carried out between 2007 and 2017 among patients who underwent arthroscopic Bankart repair with remplissage (group BR) and Bankart repair alone (group B). At the final follow-up, outcomes including recurrence, pain, shoulder function, active ROM, RTS rate, and fear toward RTS were assessed. The specific outcomes for RTS were evaluated based on 3 levels: return to normal life, RTS at any level (RTSA), and RTS at previous level (RTSP). Results: A total of 70 patients were included (29 in group BR and 41 in group B) with a mean 67.2 months of follow-up. Group BR demonstrated a significantly lower recurrence rate than did group B (0 vs 22.0%, respectively; P = .007) as well as higher postoperative Rowe score (92.8 ± 7.1 vs 83.3 ± 16.2, respectively; P = .005). There were no differences between the groups in postoperative visual analog scale for pain score, American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons score, Oxford Shoulder Instability Score, or active ROM. The rates of RTSA (100% vs 84.2%; P = .03) and RTSP (77.8% vs 50.0%; P = .02) were higher in group BR than in group B, respectively, and significantly fewer patients in group BR reported fear of RTS (40.7% vs 63.2%; P = .04). Conclusion: In this study, recurrence rate, pain, shoulder function, active ROM, and RTS rate were satisfactory after arthroscopic Bankart repair with remplissage. Patients who underwent this procedure reported less fear toward RTS and higher rates of RTSA and RTSP than did those who undergo Bankart repair alone.

The server uses the streaming media protocol which is written by Python, implementing video capturing using c language, not only highly efficient and stable, and more scalable, its very convenient for routine maintenance. The design is simple to implement two streaming media protocols, RTMP and RTSP; the client can play the video smoothly, using VLC or Pot player.

Abstract:
Since its inception, surgical management of the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) is fairly standard; however, the invasive, costly, and time-intensive nature of UCL surgery may be restrictive to some athletes. Electronic databases were searched starting from the year 2013 to September 2018. Extracted data included frequencies of (a) return to play (RTP); (b) return to same level of play (RTSP); (c) athlete’s position; (d) complete reconstitution of the UCL; and (e) the location of ligament rupture (proximal or distal). Proportions of success/failure for selected outcomes were calculated. Additionally, an odds ratio (OR) (95% confidence interval [CI]) determined the association between tear location (proximal vs. distal) and nonsurgical success. A total of 169 athletes underwent nonsurgical management of UCL injury in the seven included studies. Sports included baseball, gymnastics, softball, hockey, volleyball, and tennis. Overall, 83% (n = 140) were able to RTP and 72% (n = 121) were able to RTSP. Those with proximal UCL tears had a RTSP rate of 82% (n = 56) compared to 42% (n = 13) of those with a distal tear. Proximal tears were associated with higher rates of successful outcomes in RTP and RTSP (OR = 6.5 [2.5,16.7], p < .001). In baseball, 76% (n = 38) of pitchers were able to RTSP compared to 90% (n = 9) of position players. When visualized using MRI, 96% (n = 22) of athletes had full UCL reconstitution following nonsurgical management. Based on the pooled outcomes of included studies, nonsurgical management of a UCL injury was reasonably successful for RTP and RTSP rates in professional athletes, with a better chance of success for proximal tears compared to distal and incomplete tears compared to complete. The exploratory nature of utilizing nonsurgical management for UCL sprains in athletes, by way of the case series, appears to be fairly well established, but an upgrade in study design is warranted.

Education is a very important aspect to develop the country to become more advanced. However, the constraints such as lack of education budgets have restricted many schools to invest in learning support equipment. One of the technologies in multimedia that can be used to build a learning system is media streaming that use a standard of implemented protocol is Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP). It can be used to build media streaming based learning model. This research will explain about the performance of RTSP if implemented in a classroom learning with capacity up to 50 hosts. Measurement is based on the performance aspect of the streaming process, including latency time, streaming lag, and CPU utilization. Parameters used to compare performance are media type, media format, media size, media quality, and number of clients. The combination of each parameter will produce different value of performance aspects. As a case study, foreign language subject is a learning activity that requires multimedia communication including video and audio, then this requirement can be solved with the development of media streaming based software using the RTSP. In the end it can be concluded about the feasibility of using RTSP to develop the learning system.

Abstract:
Running-time analysis of ant colony optimization (ACO) is crucial for understanding the power of the algorithm in computation. This paper conducts a running-time analysis of ant system algorithms (AS) as a kind of ACO for traveling salesman problems (TSP). The authors model the AS algorithm as an absorbing Markov chain through jointly representing the best-so-far solutions and pheromone matrix as a discrete stochastic status per iteration. The running-time of AS can be evaluated by the expected first-hitting time (FHT), the least number of iterations needed to attain the global optimal solution on average. The authors derive upper bounds of the expected FHT of two classical AS algorithms (i.e., ant quantity system and ant-cycle system) for TSP. They further take regular-polygon TSP (RTSP) as a case study and obtain numerical results by calculating six RTSP instances. The RTSP is a special but real-world TSP where the constraint of triangle inequality is stringently imposed. The numerical results derived from the comparison of the running time of the two AS algorithms verify our theoretical findings.

Abstract:
The white matter state in migraine has been investigated using diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) measures, but results using this technique are conflicting. To overcome DTI measures, we employed ensemble average diffusion propagator measures obtained with apparent measures using reduced acquisitions (AMURA). The AMURA measures were return-to-axis (RTAP), return-to-origin (RTOP) and return-to-plane probabilities (RTPP). Tract-based spatial statistics was used to compare fractional anisotropy, mean diffusivity, axial diffusivity and radial diffusivity from DTI, and RTAP, RTOP and RTPP, between healthy controls, episodic migraine and chronic migraine patients. Fifty healthy controls, 54 patients with episodic migraine and 56 with chronic migraine were assessed. Significant differences were found between both types of migraine, with lower axial diffusivity values in 38 white matter regions and higher RTOP values in the middle cerebellar peduncle in patients with a chronic migraine (p < 0.05 family-wise error corrected). Significantly lower RTPP values were found in episodic migraine patients compared to healthy controls in 24 white matter regions (p < 0.05 family-wise error corrected), finding no significant differences using DTI measures. The white matter microstructure is altered in a migraine, and in chronic compared to episodic migraine. AMURA can provide additional results with respect to DTI to uncover white matter alterations in migraine.

Apabila kualitas sudah sangat baik maka penggunaan video streaming akan semakin digunakan oleh penggunanya. Dengan teknologi streaming, banyak sekali manfaat yang bisa didapatkan. Murah, karena hanya memerlukan satu server yang bisa digunakan untuk banyak user. Untuk menjalankan streaming tersebut bisa dihubungkan beberapa user dalam satu jaringan. Akan lebih efisien lagi apabila dalam membuat jaringan yang bersifat wireless ketimbang wired. Dengan wireless, bisa lebih menghemat dalam pengadaan kabel. Selain itu juga lebih mudah dalam melakukan konfigurasi pada jaringan . Salah satu kegunaan dari teknologi video streaming yang banyak digunakan dalam kegiatan sehari hari yaitu Video Conference. Teknologi multimedia yang satu ini memang sangat bergantung dari kualitas jaringan yang tersedia. Dibutuhkan hubungan yang handal antar user satu dengan yang lain sehingga membuat teknologi ini memerlukan protokol pendukung yang tepat. Salah satu prokotol yang digunakan untuk pertukaran data secara streaming adalah Real Time Streaming Protokol (RTSP). RTSP merupakan protokol aplikasi untuk kendali pengiriman data yang memiliki karakteristik real-time seperti streaming media. RTSP sering juga disebut sebagai remote control jaringan untuk streamin server. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat besarnya pengaruh variasi codec, jarak, dan power transmisi pada paket data multimedia dalam jaringan IEEE 802.11n pada protokol RTSP. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat di ambil kesimpulan bahwa Pada pengukuran delay dari ketiga skenario penggunaan layanan diperoleh nilai delay tertinggi pada saat pengujian adalah sebesar 0,007 s untuk codec H.264 dengan kondisi Power Transmisi 1 dbm dengan jarak 1 meter sementara nilai delay terendah adalah sebesar 0,002 s pada jarak 1 meter dan power transmisi 1 dbm

OpenCV adalah sebuah library (perpustakaan) yang digunakan untuk mengolah gambar dan video hingga kita mampu mengekstrak informasi di dalamnya. OpenCV dapat berjalan di berbagai bahasa pemrograman, seperti C, C++, Java, Python, dan juga didukung di berbagai platform seperti Windows, Linux, Mac OS, iOS dan Android. Setiap pengguna sistem Absensi Face Recognition perlu dilakukan registrasi terlebih dahulu 1 (satu) persatu, dan sistem melakukan Training dari video setiap pengguna yang didaftarkan dan dibuat Source Base dalam bentuk foto dan disimpan di komputer server sebagai menjadi pembanding dan mendeteksi wajah dari berbagai sudut kamera nantinya. Protokol ini digunakan untuk menetapkan dan mengendalikan sesi media antara dua titik ujungnya. Sebagian besar server RTSP menggunakan Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP) yang saling melengkapi dengan Real-time Control Protocol (RTCP) untuk pengiriman aliran media. Peer-to-peer is emerging as a potentially disruptive technology for content distribution in the mobile Internet. In addition to the already well-known peer-to-peer file sharing, real-time peer-to-peer streaming is gaining popularity. This paper presents an effective real-time peer-to-peer streaming system for the mobile environment. The basis for the system is a scalable overlay network which groups peer into clusters according to their proximity using RTT values between peers as a criteria for the cluster selection. The actual media delivery in the system is implemented using the partial RTP stream concept: the original RTP sessions related to a media delivery are split into a number of so-called partial streams according to a predefined set of parameters in such a way that it allows low-complexity reassembly of the original media session in real-time at the receiving end. Partial streams also help in utilizing the upload capacity with finer granularity than just per one original stream. This is beneficial in mobile environments where bandwidth can be scarce.

El videostreaming es una de las tecnologías que actualmente tiene repercusiones importantes en diferentes contextos como la educación, la salud y el sector empresarial; todo lo anterior gracias a las facilidades que esta brinda para el acceso a contenidos multimedia de manera remota, ya sea en vivo o en diferido, permitiendo la comunicación independientemente de la ubicación geográfica. Uno de los protocolos estándar que permite la implementación de esta tecnología es RTSP, sin embargo dado que la mayoría de servidores de aplicaciones y servicios en internet están soportados en peticiones HTTP, es poco el trabajo que se ha realizado en cuanto a la generación de herramientas, para realizar pruebas de estrés sobre servidores de streaming. Este artículo presenta una herramienta de medición de estrés llamada Hermes, desarrollada en el lenguaje Python, la cual permite el cálculo de los tiempos de respuesta en el establecimiento de conexiones RTSP a servidores de streaming, así como la obtención de datos de consumo de memoria RAM y porcentaje de uso de CPU de estos servidores. Hermes fue desplegada dentro de en un entorno de videostreaming, sobre el cual se realizó la evaluación de estrés para el servidor LIVE555, usando para ello invocaciones en segundo plano a los clientes libres VLC y OpenRTSP.

In dieser Arbeit wird das Real-Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) spwie das Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP) analysiert. Die Syntax und Semantik von Präsentations-Beschreibungen im Format des Session Description Protocol (SDP) werden vorgestellt. Es wird eine kurze Einführung in das Format von MPEG-1-Videosequenzen gegeben. In der Analysephase wird der aktuelle Stand des Inline-MPEG-1-Players und des Multicast MPEG-Servers untersucht. Ausgehend davon werden die Ziele der Implementierung eines neuen Java-Applets sowie eines RTSP-Servers festgelegt und beschrieben, in welchen Schritten diese erreicht werden sollen. In der Implementierungsphase werden die Erstellung eines RTSP- und eines RTP-Klienten in Java beschrieben. Es wird dargelegt, wie unter Verwendung dieser Klienten auf Basis des Inline-MPEG-1-Players ein Java-Applet erzeugt wurde, daß MPEG-1-Videosequenzen von einem Medienserver empfangen und abspielen kann. Es wird der Entwurf eines RTSP-Medienservers und dessen Implementierung beschrieben. Mit Abschluß dieser Arbeit steht ein einsatzbereites System aus RTSP-Server und RTSP-Klient bereit, daß ohne weitere Klientsoftware auf einer Weboberfläche eingesetzt werden kann.

La tesi propone un'applicazione Android che implementa il protocollo di rete Real Time volto alla ricezione di una trasmissione audio in modalità Broadcast all'interno di una WLAN. I dispositivi associati alla stessa rete sono in grado di ricevere e decodificare i pacchetti trasmessi da un server programmato con FFmpeg, per poi riprodurli in sincrono. Negli eventi a carattere musicale che potrebbero provocare problemi di inquinamento acustico, l’applicazione proposta è in grado di rimpiazzare, ove possibile e necessario, tutta la strumentazione e impiantistica coinvolta nell’amplificazione acustica, consentendo al pubblico, l’ascolto in diretta con latenze accettabili tramite i personali smartphone e head-set. Si offre così un’alternativa ai grandi spazi e pubblici esercizi che già fronteggiano queste problematiche, e si adeguano dei nuovi ambienti a questo genere di attrattiva, come per esempio le abitazioni. La ricerca svolta si focalizza sul riuso tecnologico, mettendo in risalto un diverso utilizzo della propria rete Wi-Fi, la quale, anche se priva di accesso a internet, consente localmente l'invio e la ricezione di dati fra dispositivi.

Abstract:
The wide-spread adoption of camera-embedded mobile devices along with the ubiquitous connection via WiFi or cellular networks enables people to visually report live events. Current solutions limit the configurability of such services by allowing video streaming only to fixed servers. In addition, the business models of the companies that provide such (free) services insert visual ads in the streamed videos, leading to unnecessary resource consumption. This thesis proposes an architecture of a real-time video streaming service from an Android mobile device to a server of the user's choice. The real-time video can then be viewed from a web browser. The project builds on open-source code and open protocols to implement a set of software components that successfully stream live video. Experimental evaluations show practical resource consumption and a good quality of the streamed video. Furthermore, the architecture is scalable and can support large number of simultaneous streams with additional increase in hardware resources.

In recent years there has been a predominant increase in multimedia services such as live streaming, Video on Demand (VoD), video conferencing, videos for the learning. Streaming of high quality videos has become a challenge for service providers to enhance the user’s watching experience. The service providers cannot guarantee the perceived quality. In order to enhance the user’s expectations, it is also important to estimate the quality of video perceived by the user. There are different video streaming protocols that are used to stream from server to client. In this research, we aren’t focused on the user’s experience. We are mainly focused on the performance behavior of the protocols. In this study, we investigate the performance of the HTTP, RTSP and WebRTC protocols when streaming is carried out for H.265 encoder. The study addresses for the objective assessment of different protocols over VoD streaming at the network and application layers. Packet loss and delay variations are altered at the network layer using network emulator NetEm when streaming from server to client. The metrics at the network layer and application layer are collected and analyzed. The video is streamed from server to a client, the quality of the video is checked by some of the users. The research method has been carried out using an experimental testbed. The metrics such as packet counts at network layer and stream bitrate at application layer are collected for HTTP, RTSP and WebRTC protocols. Variable delays and packet losses are injected into the network to emulate real world. Based on the results obtained, it was found at the application layer that, out of the three protocols, HTTP, RTSP and WebRTC, the stream bitrate of the video transmitted using HTTP was less when compared to the other. Hence, HTTP performs better in the application layer. At the network layer, the packet counts of the video transmitted were collected using TCP port for HTTP and UDP port for RTSP and WebRTC protocols. The performance of HTTP was found to be stable in most of the scenarios. On comparing RTSP and WebRTC, the number of packet counts collected were more in number for RTSP when compared to WebRTC. This is because, the protocol and also the streamer are using more resources to transmit the video. Hence, both the protocols RTSP and WebRTC are performing better relatively.

<p>The purpose of this thesis is to examine the possibilities of creating a MPEG-4-compatible set-top box for IP-networks based on open standards. </p><p>Existing alternatives for transporting MPEG-4 over IP are evaluated and ISMA is found to be an important actor within the area. ISMA is a non-profit corporation formed to provide a forum for the creation of specifications that define an interoperable implementation for streaming rich media over IP-networks. </p><p>Two different designs based on ISMA's recommendation are constructed and evaluated. The designs have different levels of complexity and the more complex design is found to be better due to its extended functionality. </p><p>During the design process a number of problems related to this kind of set-top box are discovered. It is believed, however, that many of these problems will be solved within the near future.</p>

Abstract:
Traffic for real-time entertainment applications has increased over the past years and now holds one of the largest portions of the traffic on the Internet. This trend has been spotted by Ida Infront who wishes to integrate and support a streaming protocol in their Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). This thesis first surveys three streaming protocols and techniques (SIP, RTSP and HTTP-base streaming) in terms of general usage areas and suitability for integration with the company ESB. Second, this thesis investigates how these protocols can be implemented using a proxy-based design together with the ESB. After describing one design alternative for each protocol, the thesis finally presents a proof-of-concept implementation of an RTSP proxy. The proxy is implemented and tested for performance and added packet jitters under different loads. The main contribution of the thesis is a reverse RTSP proxy application that integrates with the ESB and offers both routing and logging functionalities. In tests where we put the proxy under load we see that the CPU and memory usage is low and that the bottleneck appears to be the network bandwidth. But we also see a small added jitter that potentially could scale and must be taken into account when using such a proxy application.
