Abstract:
Herbal medicines have gained global importance due to their medicinal efficacy and cost-effectiveness. Unlike allopathic treatments, plant-based medicines offer better patient compliance with minimal side effects. This study aims to develop and evaluate the anti-acne activity of a hydrogel formulated using water extracts of Rubia cordifolia roots and Azadirachta indica leaves.  Rubia cordifolia (Manjistha) is a vital Ayurvedic herb known for its blood purification properties and efficacy in treating skin disorders. It also supports kidney health and exhibits antibacterial, antioxidant, an

Abstract:
The present study aimed to identify the composition of the aerial parts of Rubia cordifolia L. A chemical investigation on the EtOAc extracts from the aerial parts of Rubia cordifolia resulted in the isolation of four new anthraquinones, namely Cordifoquinone A–D (1–4), along with 16 known anthraquinones. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of NMR and HR-ESIMS data. All isolates were assessed for their inhibitory effects on NO production in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophage cells. Compounds 1, 3 and 10 exhibited significant inhibitory activities with IC50 values of 14.05, 23.48 and

Wide application of nanoparticles stimulates the need for synthesizing them But, the conventional methods are usually hazardous and energy consuming. This lead to focus on “green synthesis”of nanoparticles which seems to be easy efficient and ecofriendly approach. In this study the green synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles was carried out using root extract of Rubia Cordifolia a reducing agent and their antimicrobial activity against various bacterial pathogens. Zinc oxide nanoparticles are known to be one of the multifunctional inorganic nanoparticles with effective antibacterial activity.

The increased use of polyphenols nowadays poses the need for identification of their new pharmacological targets. Recently, structure similarity-based virtual screening of DrugBank outlined pseudopurpurin, a hydroxyanthraquinone from Rubia cordifolia spp., as similar to gatifloxacin, a synthetic antibacterial agent. This suggested the bacterial DNA gyrase and DNA topoisomerase IV as potential pharmacological targets of pseudopurpurin. In this study, estimation of structural similarity to referent antibacterial agents and molecular docking in the DNA gyrase and DNA topoisomerase IV complexes we
