Celem pracy była charakterystyka językowa Kroniki supraskiej pod kątem cech fonetycznych, zmian w obrębie fleksji imiennej i werbalnej oraz zapożyczeń leksykalnych. Analiza językowa tekstu zabytku wykazała, że część zaobserwowanych w nim zjawisk fonetycznych oraz fleksyjnych uzyskuje zachodnioruską realizację. Odznaczają się one niekonsekwencją realizacji i nierównomiernym stopniem egzemplifikacji w poszczególnych częściach zabytku. Jednocześnie zabytek wykazuje silne powiązanie z tradycją cerkiewnoruską, co znalazło swe odzwierciedlenie zarówno na poziomie fonetycznym, jak też morfologicznym.
