Abstract:

In his late unfinished work on aesthetic theory, Adam Smith develops the concept of rythmus to explore such arts as music, dance and poetry. Smith argues that rythmus communicates emotion in a very specific way. For Smith, narrative arts, such as drama or the novel, predominately seek to recreate or represent in the minds of their readership or audience the emotions of the characters that are portrayed. But what we experience through rythmus, by contrast, is an original, and not a sympathetic, feeling. Rythmus is the communicative medium of a paradoxical mode of collective feeling in which each person feels his or her own emotions, and yet all feel the same thing; in which social being is at once non-fungible and shared.

Abstract:

Tachykardiomiopatia polega na postępującej dysfunkcji skurczowej lewej komory związanej z szybką częstotliwością pracy serca. Przyczyną tej patologii mogą być: migotanie i trzepotanie przedsionków [1-4], inne tachyarytmie nadkomorowe [5-6], ale również ektopia komorowa [7], częstoskurcz pęczkowy [8] i komorowy [9-11] oraz szybka stymulacja dwujamowa [12]. Najczęściej jest to proces odwracalny w momencie uzyskania kontroli rytmu lub częstotliwości pracy serca przy użyciu farmakoterapii [8, 13] lub ablacji [5-6, 9-11]. W wielu przypadkach trudne bywa ustalenie, czy dysfunkcja skurczowa lewej komory jest procesem wtórnym do tachyarytmii, czy też sama doprowadziła do powstania arytmii. Wówczas dopiero po uzyskaniu optymalnej kontroli częstości rytmu lub przywróceniu rytmu zatokowego i wielomiesięcznej obserwacji jesteśmy w stanie postawić ostateczne rozpoznanie.

La différenciation macro temporel/méso temporel/micro temporel donne le cadre conceptuel d’interprétation de la variation des rythmes dans la construction des activités formatives et professionnelles. Afin d’opérationnaliser cette approche, les résultats de travaux antérieurs seront réinterrogés sous l’angle d’une base rythmique. En saisissant la singularité la singularité des processus de professionnalisation, les rythmes temporels éclairent les articulations possibles entre les rythmes individuels et les rythmes institutionnels.

Dante Alighieri, William Carlos Williams’ prosodi og Michel Serres Rhythm of TimeThe article discusses William Carlos Williams’s poetics and his particular conception of a modern prosody as expressed in the essay »Speech Rhythm« (1913) and as materialized in his experiments with a poetic form he himself termed »the variable foot« in »the triadic verse«. The article suggests that Williams’s poetics should be conceived as both an attempt to reinvigorate a typographically governed poetic language, his reaction to free verse, and as a larger figure for a poetic project which attempts to offer a poetic form to an unruly American idiom. Additionally, Williams’s new poetic measure is considered as an attempt to produce a poetic voice that could capture the rhythms and temporalities suggested by the modern age. Williams’s poetics present, then, a conflation of poetic scheme and trope, of prosody and anthropology, and are presented here as in tune with Ezra Pound, George Antheil, Albert Einstein and Michel Serres’ aesthetic and scientific abstractions of temporality. Williams’s poetic experiments offer a new measure for a modern »time«.

Le temps n'est plus seulement linéaire mais multiple, et pour les individus, la question se pose de savoir, d'une part, comment reconduire cette multiplicité à l'unité et, d'autre part, comment contenir ses décalages dans un parcours intégré. En particulier, la coupure entre temps internes et temps sociaux se fait plus aiguë et le temps du corps, des rythmes biologiques et émotionnels, ne s'intègre plus facilement aux cadences d'une société accélérée et fondée sur la raison instrumentale.

Abstract:

Le trouble bipolaire (TB) est une maladie psychiatrique multifactorielle à hérédité complexe faisant intervenir des facteurs de risque génétiques et environnementaux [1]. Parmi ces facteurs de risque, des anomalies des rythmes circadiens et du sommeil ont été mises en évidence dans les TB et témoignent de l’implication d’anomalies de l’horloge circadienne dans la physiopathologie du TB [2]. En effet, Il existe une littérature importante sur les anomalies circadiennes observées dans le TB (sommeil, rythmes veille/sommeil, chronotypes, perturbations circadiennes biologiques et comportementales, etc.). Ces anomalies sont présentes, non seulement en phase aiguë, mais aussi au cours des phases de stabilité de l’humeur (ou euthymiques) constituant ainsi des anomalies « trait » du TB [2]. Ainsi, l’exploration du sommeil et des rythmes circadiens chez des patients euthymiques avec TB par des mesures objectives (actigraphie) et subjectives (questionnaires) démontre que les patients présentent un sommeil plus long, de moins bonne qualité, avec retard important à l’endormissement, plus de réveils nocturnes et un retentissement diurne plus important que des témoins sains [3]. Par ailleurs, certains variants de gènes circadiens associés au TB peuvent s’associer chez les patients à des modifications particulières de ces rythmes circadiens. Ainsi, dans une étude pilote, il a été observé qu’un variant commun associé au TB du gène ASMT (codant pour l’une des deux enzymes de synthèse de la mélatonine) était associé à une modification des rythmes circadiens marquée par une période de sommeil allongée, une plus grande activité nocturne et une plus grande stabilité des rythmes [4]. Ces résultats intéressants soulignent l’intérêt de l’exploration des anomalies circadiennes du TB dans un but étiopathogénique et diagnostique, mais aussi possiblement thérapeutique.

Cette rapide étude des rythmes de la Tapisserie de Bayeux s’inscrit dans une réflexion bien plus large portant sur l’histoire des rythmes au Moyen Âge. Celle-ci concerne notamment les rythmes des images et ceux de la narration historique, ce qui justifie l’examen de la célèbre broderie. Cette étude croise l’analyse des bordures, des images de la bande centrale et des inscriptions latines. L’usage des temps verbaux suggère que l’oeuvre pouvait être commentée à haute voix lors de son exposition (attestée au 15e siècle) à l’occasion de la fête de la dédicace de la cathédrale de Bayeux. La répétition et la variété des formes, des couleurs, des sons, les accélérations et les ralentissements du mouvement des cavaliers et des fantassins, et même les temps d’arrêt et les retours en arrière, donnent à la broderie son caractère rythmique exceptionnel.

Avec la crise des temps caractérisée par le délitement des rythmes sociaux et le sentiment d’accélération, penser les temporalités est devenu un nouvel enjeu des politiques publiques territoriales. Cependant, un hiatus demeure entre les problématiques liées à l’hypertension des rythmes des territoires et les méthodes existantes pour les représenter. Des apports de la time-geography aux chronotopes de l’Istituto Politecnico di Milano, les travaux qui essaient de saisir le temps des territoires laissent entrevoir la difficulté de retranscrire un phénomène aussi diffus. Notre propos est de présenter les apports et limites des méthodes existantes de représentation des rythmes du territoire et de discuter des expérimentations portant sur le développement d’une méthode de photographie en série destinée à capter les évolutions fines des pratiques d’un lieu afin d’alimenter ce qu’il est maintenant convenu d’appeler le chronoaménagement.

Abstract:

The focus of this paper is Derrida's idea of rhythm. I will analyse how the idea of rhythm can work in a contemporary semiotic, and in particular in a semiotic of interpretation, in order to eliminate the confusion between interpretation and semantics and to constitute a syntactic model of interpretation. In ‘The Double Session’ Derrida uses the Greek word rytmos in order to indicate the ‘law of spacing’. Rytmos is a form that is always about to change or to break up, because it is not a definitive form. It is a not-proper form. But when I say here that a rhythmic relation is a not-proper form, the word ‘proper’ is intended in the sense of Heidegger's Eigentlichkeit. In this sense a not-proper relation is a relation which is not grounded on a justification. What I'm trying to demonstrate in this essay is that the rhythmic relation discovers another sense of the word ‘proper’, another meaning, which is far from Heidegger's Eigentlichkeit. In this sense, it is possible to say that the problem of a rhythmic relation is the problem of a relation between ‘two’ that is not justified by the third element which makes it proper or eigentlich.
