Abstract:
In the wake of the Second Vatican Council there were remarks about the Decree on Religious Freedom being a time bomb, because its views on freedom of conscience would have revolutionary impact if applied to the life of the church itself. There was more general recognition of the fundamental shift in ecclesiology that was implied in Lumen gentium and Gaudium et spes. As for Sacrosanctum concilium (SC), the document on liturgical revision, it obviously pointed to important shifts in Catholic liturgical activity, but it was not seen as a theologically innovative document. It may well be, though, that SC will prove to have the most radical and revolutionary effect on the thought, the life, and the structure of the church. That SC effected an important shift in the church's thinking and liturgical practice has been undeniable. However, like so much that was achieved in the Council, the profoundly revolutionary implications of the document are only beginning to be realized. To the extent that it is understood and implemented, the Constitution on the Liturgy points to a reversal of eighteen centuries of thinking about the church and its sacramental rituals. Clearly, this is an audacious statement, but basically what is asserted is that the understanding of sacramental liturgy is moving away from the notion of instrumental causation and towards appreciation of the effectiveness of ritual as such. There was not, of course, a formalized theology of sacramental liturgy eighteen hundred years ago that explicitly employed the idea of instrumentality. However, already in the second century there was a noticeable move away from the communitarian outlook that characterized the liturgies of early house churches. In its place the up-and-down view of liturgy's effectiveness in which the ordained person stands between God and the assembly, channeling prayer upwards and blessing downward, is expressed in the prayer for the ordination of a bishop in the third-century Apostolic Tradition.

Abstract:
Pięćdziesiąta rocznica ogłoszenia soborowej Konstytucji o liturgii świętej Sacrosanctum Concilium rozbudziła wiele zainteresowania tym dokumentem i zmianami w liturgii Kościoła katolickiego.

ADVENIAT
This thesis written by Fabio de Souza Leão has as title: The liturgical formation in Brazil from Sacrosanctum Concilium. The main objective of this research is to analyze, although in general, why the catholic communities in Brazil did not find a satisfactory way in the liturgy, the source of their spirituality, even after the renewal of council with the promulgation of the constitution on the liturgy in 1963. This scientific research is justified by the deficiency of liturgical formation of the brazilian clergy even after the Second Vatican Council. The changes in the liturgy could not produce the expected results, in other words, a spiritual renovation of the liturgy in the minds and hearts of the priests. Many times they understood the liturgical constitution more like reform that renovation, a much more comprehensive aspect than reformer, because it requires a new style of liturgical life able to promote the active, full, conscious, fruitful and pious participation, which are requirements of own essence of liturgy. The primary hypothesis of this research indicates that the liturgical formation of clergy as vertex of problem in active participation in communities is deficient. His nonassimilation of the renewed liturgy affects communities, and this has direct involvement in the pastoral of the church. The theoretical research, a method followed in this work, comes to important results for the Church in Brazil: the priests are not yet imbued with the spirit and strength of the liturgy and its theological-liturgical training is weak, they had not caught the spirit of the liturgical renovation and many of them still remain on the periphery of the cult of the Christian mystery. They are bounded on liturgical rules, devotionals and celebrationshow; it misses initiation in the liturgical life and a better organization for an effective liturgical formation at the parish level

According to Sacrosanctum Concilium 13, pious exercises should be recommended, but with determination that there should be harmonization with the liturgy. The Popular Piety can not substitut, in any way, the official liturgical practices of the Church. In this study we make analysis of the current reality, which will be based on ‗Liquid Modernity‘, expression of the Polish Sociologist Zygmunt Bauman. With this expression, Bauman identify the moment we are living, in which everything is predicted to be fleeting, including the human relations. In this context, the harmonization between Liturgy and Popular Piety is impaired, causing a mismatch between liturgical practices, with their stable norms, and popular devotions, prone to change more easily. However, pious exercises should be encouraged, even with the variants of the present time. For this analysis, the theoretical foundations are sought in the Directory on Popular Piety and the Liturgy, documents of the Popes, in the set of works written by Bauman and many others that help in understanding of the relation between the Popular Piety and the Liturgy in this period of history which Bauman classifies as ‗Liquid Modernity

Abstract:
Starting from the apparent conflict between the ritual move and the musical act in Catholic liturgy, this thesis sets out to study the munus ministeriale of sacred music as it appears in the conciliar constitution of Vatican II (SC112). This phrase, a hapax legomenon in the whole council, which was never applied to music until then and hasn't been thoroughly studied up to now, is worth considering. That's why it would be appropriate to search for its possible historical antecedents, to grasp its context so as to better apprehend its meaning. The processes suggested here, not only a pure matter of historical investigation but also a piece of theological reflection, follow that of Sacrosanctum Concilium by questioning in turn the Church Fathers, the teaching of the Popes, among whom Pius X holds a fundamental position, before examining the elaboration of the conciliar text itself. Moreover, this study focuses on the use and import of the munus and ministeriale in all the documents from Vatican II so as to bring out their theological significance for sacred music. It appears that the latter gets the status of theological place founded on the notion of mediation, and rooted in a succession of mediations. Through its munus ministeriale which then makes it specific, sacred music really is part of a sacramental order, which expresses its function but also its programmatic role in divine cult

This dissertation aims to investigate the mechanisms of liturgical adaptation happening on the Roman Catholic Church in Brazil using a punctual investigation of the Commentator (or Animator) liturgical function on the location of Juiz de Fora MG, inserted on the ecclesial context known as Renovação Carismática Católica (a local translation and adaptation of the American Charismatic Renewal) The prime hypothesis is that the historical development of Brazil as a State allowed the arising of a cultural expression common to this country and also the Cultural Subcontinent in which it is inserted, that is Latin and Caribbean America. Trying to confirm this hypothesis, Creoleness (or Creolization) theory, composed on Caribbean America, is used to enlighten the object (which is the Litugical Animator in charge of it s functions), expanding the creolization question far beyond from mere literary theory, reaching the ritual language level. The cited theory breaks with the illusions of purity when proposes a Latin American notion not as a chunking between cultural and ritual identities, but as a meeting of these formed from loans constituted over the centuries of coexistence between cultures on the cited subcontinent. This work is justified on the necessity of the Church s academic and pastoral environments to enplane what is Brazilian culture in a more valid manner, not resorting generalizing subterfuges, that have been producing a image and self-image of Brazilian church and culture as a relatively sealed values overlapping. The text was build from a deliberated option in favour of comparison between texts about Brazilian culture and the ones about cultural adaptation on Brazil, establishing similarities and disparities between both. On a second overview, there is a comparison between these and the directives on magisterial documents concerning adaptation. These texts, we suppose, guide the liturgical practice in Brazil, and at last overcomes a comparison between the proposed and delimited on the same texts and the practised by Comentator on concrete reality, using Renovação Carismática Católica as a model. Results suggest that the Comentator is correspondent to the cultural between existing between the winners rite (the white Christians) and the rites from the subdued peoples (the interbred mass), being the manifestation prime location of creoleness on Brazilian Catholic celebrations. Nevertheless, further research over the theme is necessary in order to confirm or refute this hypothesis.

Abstract:
The work deals with active participation of religious people while celebrating li-turgy renewed by II. Vatican council, The whole work is divided into 5 major parts. The history of liturgy is described in the first part of the work. Emphasis is put on the age of Liturgical Movement and following outfall into general reform of liturgy ? the constitution of Sacrosanctum Concilium. The second part deals with the importance of music and language which are necessary condition for active participation. I would like to highlight the transition from latin to local languages after the II. Vatican council. The Church wants the religious people to be active in liturgy and which leads to another part of the work which is dedicated to the services for children and young people. It also considers the beauty and richness of the breviary. A very important term is animation of liturgy which is mentioned in the fourth part of the work. I dedicated the last part of my work is to familirize the readers with efforts in Týn nad Vltavou?s parish to engage the people in liturgy.
