Abstract Agnès de France (1260–1325), who was the youngest daughter of Saint Louis and Marguerite de Provence, is a little-known princess. She was, however, a remarkable political figure, whose role in government in the late thirteenth and early fourteenth centuries demonstrates the vital influence of Capetian royal women.
