The visualization of volume data is a fundamental component in the medical domain. Volume data is used in the clinical work-flow to diagnose patients and is therefore of uttermost importance. The amount of data is rapidly increasing as sensors, such as computed tomography scanners, become capable of measuring more details and gathering more data over time. Unfortunately, the increasing amount of data makes it computationally challenging to interactively apply high quality methods to increase shape and depth perception. Results confirmed that the hierarchy of output dominance within constituent features was important in determining features in final combinations. Grand Prix cars are the fastest circuit racing cars in production, a large part of this is due to the high downforce generated by the car's aerodynamic surfaces, in excess of the car's own weight above 150kph. It is well known that a race-car operating in the wake of an upstream vehicle experiences a reduction of aerodynamic drag, and a corresponding increase of ultimate straight line speed. There is also a loss of aerodynamic downforce, predominately from surfaces acting on the front axle. The effect of the reduced downforce is an increase of lap-time and degraded handling characteristics, th

碩士
國立勤益科技大學
電子工程系
105
In this paper, we proposed a feature preserving polygonal mesh simplification method based on vertex salience. Our approach adopted a simple and effective vertex salience estimation to capture the features and a linear-time algorithm based on our earlier works. Compared with existing works, our novel approach not only has better run-time efficiency at generating level-of-detail meshes but also is capable of preserving visually important details.

Foreground extraction is one of image segmentation that separates an image into two regions, which are foreground and background. The definition of the foreground is the portion of a scene nearest to the viewer and a prominent position within the image. It can be used in object detection and object recognition. Recently, a lot of methods have been proposed for foreground extraction. However, the procedures of those methods need some interactions of users. It mak

Most of them focus on activity annotation while others concentrate on labeling individual objects. However, the latters focus on only labeling objects with bounding boxes or only using interpolation techniques to help user labeling. Moreover, only one of them try to find the dense correspondence inside the object contour. Issues of dense correspondences annotation across video frames are not well addressed yet. As an emerging technology, hyperspectral imaging provides huge opportunities in both remote sensing and computer vision. The advantage of hyperspectral imaging comes from the high resolution and wide range in the electromagnetic spectral domain which reflects the intrinsic properties of object materials. By combining spatial and spectral information, it is possible to extract more comprehensive and discriminative representation for objects of interest than traditional methods, thus facilitating the basic pattern recognition tasks, such as object detectio

In this dissertation, we propose a robust text detector with the four new proposed units for detecting text strings in scene images. In preprocessing, both resizing and low-complexity are first used for easily predefining a general range of text sizes and coarsely reducing interference of background to make a striking effect on performance. Second, we propose three novel methods of saliency feature extraction (SFE), simple
