A thesis on Head and neck cancer focusing on dose planning, salivary gland carcinoma and Single nucleotide polymorphism. For dose planning PET/CT (Positron emissions tomography/computed tomography) with tracer gave more precise information in comparison dose planning with CT. O câncer é um problema de saúde pública mundial, apresentando acréscimo na sua incidência a cada ano. O seu processo de evolução ainda não foi completamente desvendado, dificultando a elaboração de terapias adequadas. Na busca por um melhor prognóstico, pesquisas recentes têm discutido o papel das citocinas inflamatórias, do nicho perivascular e das células-tronco nos mecanismos de desenvolvimento e manutenção dos tumores malignos. Как показывают статистические исследования, онкологические заболевания в Украине находятся на 2 месте после сердечно-сосудистых заболеваний. Слюнные железы не есть исключением. Чаще опухоли возникают в околоушной железе (90%), затем в подчелюстной (5%) и подъязычной (0,1%); в малых слюнных железах органов ротовой полости они встречаются в 4,9%. Background Salivary neoplasms of the major salivary glands are uncommon: the annual incidence rates in the world vary between greater than 0.05 and less than 2 per 100,000.
