Abstract:

Affix verbs in the Saluan language can be added to basic word or basic form in the form of verbs, nouns, adjectives, and numerals. The affix has various forms and functions. This study examines the forms and function of verb affixes in the Saluan language. Related with that, this paper aims to describe the forms and function of verb affixes in the Saluan language. The data of this study were obtained using the litterary method. The data is processed using the intralingual equivalent method through a change technique. The results of this study indicate that there are five verb affixes in the Saluan language, namely prefix, suffix, confix, infix, and combinations of affixes. There are nine verb prefixes, namely moN-, pino-, i-, o-, ba-, po-, ko-, maha-, and mompo-. The moN prefix has four allomorphs, namely mom-, mong-, mo-, and mon-. There are two verb suffixes, namely -onon and-kon. There are four verb confixes, namely kino-an, kina-mo, kina-anmo, and maha-an. The verb infix is only one, namely -in-. Different case with a combination of affixes. The combination of verb affixes is nine, namely moN-akon, moN-kon, moN-i, i-akon, i-kon, pino-akon, pinokon, i-i, -in-an, -in-akon, and iin-kon. There are five functions of the affix form, namely changing the word category in its basic form, forming bitransitive verbs, forming transitive verbs, reciprocal verbs, and forming passive verbs.

Abstract:

Every culture has its way to celebrate the appearance of a new family member. This study provides some information related to the new baby welcoming celebration of two different cultures: Saluan and Korea. This qualitative study finds some similarities within the celebration as well as their values behind. The differences found in the case of time and the number of events included in the celebration. Hopefully, with the rise of understanding of the two cultures, the appreciation and affection towards local cultures can also be improved. Keywords: New Baby Welcoming Celebration; Saluan; Korea.

Tangerang Selatan merupakan kota terbesar kedua di Provinsi Banten setelah Kota Tangerang yang sering mengalami banjir. Penyebab permasalahan banjir yang melanda kota ini yang alih fungsi lahan yang terjadi dalam waktu yang sangat cepat akibat pembangunan yang terus dilakukan dan saluran drainase yang sudah ada tidak mampu menampung air hujan. Salah satu contoh Jalan Sarua, Ciputat Tangerang selatan masih terjadi genangan atau banjir. Terjadinya genangan pada daerah ini karena sistem yang berfungsi untuk menampung banjir/genangan itu tidak mampu menampung debit yang mengalir, hal ini disebabkan oleh kapasitas sistem yang menurun dan debit aliran air yang meningkat. Selain itu, kondisi saluran drainase pada jalan Sarua juga tidak mampu mengalirkan air yang ada pada saluran, banyaknya sampah yang terdapat pada saluran, serta kurangnya perhatian masyarakat terhadap saluran drainase yang ada. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan survey lokasi untuk meninjau kondisi eksisting pada saluran. Analisa yang digunakan untuk menghitung debit banjir dan debit saluran adalah menngunakan analisa hidrologi dan analisa hidrolika. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa adanya perbedaan debit antara debit banjir dan debit saluran. Debit pada saluran lebih kecil dari pada debit banjir yang terjadi, sehinnga saluran tidak cukup lagi mengalirkan air hujan. Debit pada saluan didapat 1,05 m3/det sedangkan debit banjir yang terjadi 1,14 m3/det. Kata Kunci : Drainase, Banjir, Debit

Abstract: Food Consumption Risk Against The Incidence Of Urinary Tract Stones. BSK (Urinary track stone; Urolithiasis) is a health problem that had long been known and ranked in the third place of Urology. Based on the data in the RSUD Dr. Soedarso Pontianak BSK case data always has increased each year. In 2014 as much as 31.236 cases. In 2015 the proportion of urinary stone disease was 36.182%. While in the period January-November of 2016 the proportion of urinary stone disease was 44.75%. BSK has greater risk suffered by men. Men have the anatomy of the urinary tract is longer than the female. In addition, in the male urine calcium levels are higher, compounded if you have the habit of holding urinate and bad eating patterns. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between food consumption at the risk of urinary tract stones. Type of this research is a case-control design. The Sample research is 96 respondents (48 cases and 48 controls) taken with purposive sampling technique. Statistical tests using the chi-square with a confidence level of 95%. The results of this study indicate that factors into the risk of formation of BSK is a source of protein consumption consumption (P Value = 0.051, OR: 2,616 (1,083-6,321)), vegetable consumption (P Value = 0.040, OR: 2.571 mg (1,124-5,884)). It is recommended to the Provincial Hospital Dr. Soedarso Pontianak convene regular health promotion by making use of television media available in the waiting room of a patient primarily about the foods that can cause the formation of such BSK the consumption of high protein and vegetable sources contain oxalate.Abstrak: Konsumsi Makanan Yang Berisiko Terhadap Kejadian Batu Saluran Kemih. Batu Saluan Kemih (BSK) merupakan masalah kesehatan yang sudah lama dikenal dan menempati urutan ketiga di bidang Urologi. Berdasarkan data di RSUD Dr. Soedarso Pontianak data kasus BSK selalu mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya, yaitu sebanyak 31,23% tahun 2014, sebanyak 36,18% tahun 2015 dan sebanyak 44,75% pada bulan Januari-November 2016. BSK memiliki risiko lebih besar diderita oleh laki-laki. Laki-laki memiliki anatomi saluran kemih lebih panjang dari perempuan. Selain itu, dalam urine laki-laki kadar kalsium lebih tinggi, diperparah jika memiliki kebiasaan menahan buang air kecil dan pola makan yang kurang baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan dan besar risiko antara konsumsi makanan dengan batu saluran kemih. Jenis penelitian ini adalah desain kasus kontrol. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 96 responden (48 kasus dan 48 kontrol) yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Uji statistik menggunakan chi-square dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan faktor yang menjadi risiko terbentuknya BSK adalah konsumsi konsumsi sumber protein (p value = 0,051, OR: 2,616 (1,083-6,321)), konsumsi sayur ( p-value = 0,040, OR: 2,571(1,124-5,884)). Disarankan kepada RSUD Dr. Soedarso Pontianak untuk mengadakan promosi kesehatan secara berkala dengan memanfaatkan media televisi yang tersedia di ruang tunggu pasien terutama mengenai makanan-makanan yang dapat menyebabkan terbentuknya BSK seperti konsumsi sumber protein tinggi dan sayur mengandung oksalat.

Informasi yang disampaikan harus sesuai dengan keinginan masyarakat. Pengukuran kualitas informasi pada website BPRS Al-Salaam Amal Salman bertujuan untuk mengukur kualitas informasi yang dimiliki. Dengan menggunakan metode webqual yaitu untuk mengetahui nilai variabel dari dimensi-dimensi terhadap website BPRS Al-Salaam Amal Salman. Nilai yang didapatkan dari setiap dimensi adalah nilai dimensi penggunaan (usability) memperoleh nilai 126 dan masuk ke dalam kategori diterima, nilai dimensi informasi (information quality) memperoleh adalah 123 masuk ke dalam kategori diterima, nilai dimensi interaksi (interaction quality) memperoleh adalah 117 masuk ke dalam kategori diterima, dan nilai dimensi keseluruhan kualitas website (overall impression) memperoleh adalah 123 masuk ke dalam kategori diterima. Daerah Irigasi Air Manna I yang terletak di Kabupaten Lahat, mampu mengairi 331ha lahan persawahan. Kerusakan di beberapa titik pada saluran Primer Air Manna 1 merupakan sebuah permasalahann yang dapat menurunkan nilai efisiensi dan kinerja saluran. Untuk itu diperlukan adanya perhitunagn efisiensi saluran dan identifikasi kerusakan saluran agar dapat menentukan prioritas rehabilitasi saluran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai efisiensi saluran, kinerja saluran, prioritas rehabilitasi saluran, dan biaya rehabilitasi saluran dengan menyajikan dalam peta kondisi saluran primer Air Manna I menggunakan aplikasi Google Earth. Metode yang digunakan adalah menghitung nilai efisiensi dari setiap ruas saluran, berdasarkan perhitungan kecepatan aliran, luas penumpang dan debit saluran untuk menentukan prioritas rehabilitasi saluran. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: Prioritas rehabilitasi saluran peringkat 1 adalah ruas III (BAM.3-BAM.4a) dengan nilai efisiensi sebesar 59% dan kinerja saluran 35% serta membutuhkan biaya sebesar Rp.421.520.000,00. Prioritas rehabilitasi saluran peringkat 2 adalah ruas I (BAM.1-BAM.2) dengan nilai efisiensi sebesar 78% dan kinerja saluran 55% serta membutuhkan biaya sebesar Rp.141.930.000,00. Prioritas rehabilitasi saluran peringkat 3 adalah ruas II (BAM.2-BAM.3) dengan nilai efisiensi sebesar 81% dan kinerja saluran 60% serta membutuhkan biaya sebesar Rp.128.270.000,00.

Pertumbuhan penduduk Kota Surabaya yang tinggi mengakibatkan banyak lahan dijadikan tempat tinggal atau lokasi pemukiman bagi masyarakat sehingga terjadi perubahan tata guna lahan. Lahan persawahan telah berubah menjadi pemukiman sehingga mengakibatkan lahan untuk resapan air semakin mengecil dan koefisien pengaliran semakin membesar. Daerah Medokan Semampir adalah satu kawasan yang terkena dampak dari perubahan tersebut. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka dilakukanlah studi analisis kapasitas saluran drainase di Medokan-Semampir Surabaya. Pada studi analisis ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui apakah saluran drainase Medokan-Semampir Surabaya masih bisa menampung debit air hujan yang terjadi setelah terjadi perubahan tata guna lahan yang berakibat koefisien pengaliran semakin membesar. Dengan menggunakan periode ulang hujan 1.2, 2, 5 dan 10 tahunan dan dengan cara meninjau disetiap segmen aliran untuk mengetahui koefisien pengalirannya maka didapatkan hasil pada hujan dengan periode ulang 1,2 tahun pada segmen 3, segmen 8, segmen 9 dan segmen 10 mengalami luapan. Dan dengan hujan periode ulang 2, 5 dan 10 tahun pada segmen 3, segmen 4, segmen 8, segmen 9 dan segmen 10 mengalami luapan. Saluran yang mengalami luapan tersebut bisa dilakukan pelebaran saluran atau memperdalam saluran agar kapasitas saluran bertambah dan saluran bisa berfungsi sebagai mana mestinya

Abstract:

Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar L.) has been domesticated since the 1960s and has undergone over 10 generations of artificial selection for economically important traits. As a result, domesticated salmon have diverged with respect to a number of phenotypic, genotypic and behavioural traits from their wild counterparts. Since the selection pressures that are present in the wild differ greatly from the ones that shape salmon under culture conditions, domesticated salmon stocks are considered to be maladapted to natural conditions. Despite strict regulations, insoluble issues pertaining to large-scale cage rearing of farmed fish mean that there is a continuous presence of farm escapees in the wild. Gene flow from escapees has been perceived as a factor in the decline of wild populations, suggested to occur through disruption of local adaptation. This study aims to improve understanding of the genetic differences between wild and domesticated stocks by comparing the transcriptomes of Figgjo (wild) and Mowi (domesticated) strains. A series of common garden experiments have been performed, utilizing pure and reciprocal hybrid crosses of the wild and domesticated stocks, reared under two different conditions and sampled at four time points and three distinct life stages (embryo, sac-fry and feeding fry). Microarray interrogations were performed employing a 44K custom microarray design to identify genes and gene pathways that are differentially expressed between the stocks. KEGG-based functional analyses have been implemented using different gene set enrichment packages, and dominance and additive parameters were calculated from normalized expression values to predict the mode of heritability of the genes identified as differentially expressed between stocks. Most biological functions represented in wild and domesticated crosses were consistent across life stages and environments. The transcriptomic differences detected between stocks in multiple developmental stages likely reflected adaptations to selection pressures differing between natural and aquaculture environments. Down-regulated environmental information processing and immune and nervous system functions in domesticated vs. wild fish may be due to local adaptation to captivity. These included reduced information acquisition and processing systems, altered stress responsiveness and changes in feeding behaviour. In line with the resource allocation theory of production trait animals, reduced immune function was coupled with increased expression of growth and development related pathways in domesticated salmon, compared to wild counterparts. Although there is support for this trade-off in all life-stages, resource allocation showed a shift over time; possibly reflecting variation in the utilization of energy sources during the transition from endogenous to exogenous feeding. Differences in cell communication and signalling pathways between wild and domesticated stocks, associated with organogenesis during the embryo stage, reflect sampling time and are indicative of altered organ development in response to domestication. Stress responses common across stocks included the down-regulation of cellular processes, including cell cycle and meiosis, and genetic information processing, such as replication and repair, transcription and translation pathways, probably reflecting the reallocation of energy resources away from growth and towards the restoration of homeostasis. Moreover, the mobilization of energy to cover the increased demands of maintaining homeostasis was indicated by the up-regulation of some metabolic pathways, mostly involved in energy, lipid and carbohydrate metabolism in response to stress. The analysis also revealed cross-specific stress responses, including indicators of a non-additive stress response in hybrid crosses. Most differentially expressed transcripts exhibited additive (31-59%) or maternal dominant (19-33%) inheritance patterns, although maternal over-dominance (23-26%) was also significant in the embryo stage. The mode of heritability of some immune transcripts was suggestive of maternal environmental influence having been affected by aquaculture. This study has demonstrated that biological functions affected by domestication include those associated with allocation of resources, involve reduction of information acquisition and processing systems and may lead to loss of local adaptation to wild conditions. Since such changes may affect key systems, such as immunity and responsiveness to stress, they can potentially have serious negative consequences under natural conditions. Transcriptomic differences observed between wild and domesticated stocks primarily exhibited additive and maternal dominant inheritance modes. Since gene-flow from farmed fish can be frequent and primarily concerns farmed females, this suggests that introgression due to repeated large scale escape events has the capacity to significantly erode local adaptation.

Abstract:

In Lake Vänern, Sweden, there is an endemic population of Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar L.) that lives its entire life in fresh water. The salmon is hindered from migrating to its natural spawning sites in the northern part of the River Klarälven by nine hydro-electric power plants. None of the hydro-electric power plants have fishways so that salmon migrating upstream or downstream may pass. In the current situation, the upward migrating salmon are caught in a fish trap at the most downstream located power plant in Forshaga. From there, the salmon are driven in a truck, past eight power plants and released a few kilometers upstream of the eighth power plant at Edsforsen. This study investigated the difference in the proportion of fallbacks between early (June-July) and late (August-September) migrating salmons in 2011-2013. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the proportion of fallbacks between the early and the late-migrating salmon. Fifty-one percent of the early salmon and 13% of the late salmon fell back during these 3 years. Further, there was no significant difference between males and females that became fallbacks. Nor was there any difference in the length of early and late-migrating salmon or fallbacks and non-fallbacks.

Laxen hindras från att migrera till sina naturliga lekplatser i norra delen av Klarälven av nio vattenkraftverk. Inget av vattenkraftverken har fiskvägar så att lax som migrerar uppströms eller nedströms kan passera. I dagsläget fångas lax som vandrar uppströms in i en fiskfälla vid det mest nedströms belägna kraftverket i Forshaga. Därifrån körs laxen i lastbil förbi åtta kraftverk och släpps ut några kilometer uppströms det åttonde kraftverket i Edsforsen. Den här studien undersökte skillnaden i andelen fallbacks mellan tidigt (juni-juli) och sent (augusti-september) migrerande laxar under åren 2011-2013. Resultaten visade att det fanns en signifikant skillnad i andelen fallbacks mellan den tidiga och den sent migrerande laxen. Femtioen procent av den tidiga laxen och 13% av den sena laxen föll tillbaka under dessa 3 år. Vidare fanns det ingen signifikant skillnad mellan hanar och honor som blev fallbacks. Det fanns inte heller någon skillnad i längden av tidigt och sent migrerande lax eller lax som föll tillbaka och lax som inte föll tillbaka.

Esta tese elaborada, a partir de uma análise do romance O último suspiro do mouro, de Salman Bushdie, o conceito de bastardia literária e o considera importante instrumental teórico para a análise de metaficções historiográficas. A noção de pós-modernismo e suas contradições são, portanto, o fio condutor desta investigação. Temas como memória, identidade, diáspora, minorias; termos como colonizador, colonizado; Oriente, Ocidente; canônico, não-canônico; história oficial, história não-oficial contribuem para a compreensão de uma estratégia de escrita que propõe a leitor um outro locus de observação do texto literário, como alternativa aos já estabelecidos. Trabalhou-se, ainda, com os conceitos de híbrido (Brhabha e Lclau); mímica (Bhabha); zona de contato (Marie Louise Pratt); angústia da influência (Harold Bloom); palimpsesto (Gérard Genette), entre outros, como reflexões intermediárias na configuração do conceito depreendido a partir da obra de Rushdie, cuja proposta é dar ao texto literário a possibilidade de ser lido e escrito como um suplemento às versões canônicas e modernas. O texto bastardo, nas suas dimensões da enunciação e do enunciado, e por meio de uma postura impertinente de revelar "segredos" que o modernismo mantinha "no fundo de baús", dilui fronteiras, rompe binarismos que conferem ou conferiam ao Ocidente uma supremacia sobre o resto do planeta.

Abstract:

The aim of this dissertation is to trace the function of parody in the context of Salman Rushdie&rsquo
s magical realistic fiction. The magical realism of Rushdie&rsquo
s fiction presents a complex Third World experience which constitutes an alternative to, and challenges the Eurocentrism of western culture. The form and content of Rushdie&rsquo
s novels are so intense and rich that the whole body of his work comes to the fore, not as an outcome of the two clashing civilisations, that is East and West, but rather as an immense medley of the two cultures. While &ldquo
writing back to the empire&rdquo
, Rushdie draws on innumerable sources ranging from such grand narratives as Genesis, Iliad, Ramayana, A Thousand and One Nights, Hindu, Persian, Greek, and Norse mythologies, and local cultural traditions, to modern politics mingling fiction and reality in a broad historical perspective, so that his work becomes a synthesis of East and West, an international aesthetic plane where diversities express themselves freely. The dissertation focuses particularly on Rushdie&rsquo
s Midnight&rsquo
s Children, The Moor&rsquo
s Last Sigh,and Shalimar The Clown.
it contains an introductory chapter, a theory chapter, including two subchapters, a development chapter with three subchapters which analyse the above mentioned three novels, and a conclusion chapter. The introductory chapter presents an overview of the issues to be investigated in the subsequent chapters. The theory chapter deals with the concepts of colonialism, nationalism, and the past and the present of postcolonial literary theory with reference to its leading theorists, such as M. Foucault, E. Said, H. Bhabha, and other recent critics
this chapter also introduces magical realism by reference to a number of current definitions and approaches. The following three subchapters, which focus on the analyses of the three novels, explore how parody functions both thematically and structurally in relation to Rushdie&rsquo
s magical realism. The concluding chapter demonstrates that Rushdie&rsquo
s work creates an unrestrained plane of an international culture where multiple visions and diversities can find a room to assert themselves.

Abstract:

While much attention has been paid to the events which followed the publication of Salman Rushdie's The Satanic Verses (1988), there has been little detailed examination of the role of Islam in that novel and in the rest of Salman Rushdie's fiction, notably Midnight's Children (1981) and Shame (1983). His portrayals of Islam and Islamic societies are not easily recognizable via the traditional structures of the academic study of Islam. His divergence from the vast majority of Muslim tradition and experience can be seen firstly through his own experiences in India, England, and Pakistan; and secondly through his provocative literary exploration of religious beliefs, something which has few precedents in the history of Islam. By using Islamic elements and symbols in the same way that Western literatures have explored religious themes, Rushdie presents irreverent satire and often scathing criticism of many aspects of Muslim societies and culture. The most significant aspect of this critique is the attempt to subvert what Mohammed Arkoun called "Islamic logocentrism," the tendency to confine all discourse about Islam to a certain narrow field of textual interpretation. Rushdie's treatment of religion is informed by an ideal which sees reading and writing for one's own purposes to be the highest form of spiritual exercise, and when Islam is subordinated to the writer's imagination, he has little reason to uphold the authority or sanctity of its precepts, principles, or history.

Abstract:

Existe um potencial significativo de economia de energia nos sistemas de climatização de salas limpas. Insufladores, os quais recirculam ar ultra-limpo, são ativos que demandam grandes custos de energia. Diversas publicações relatam que a vazão de ar para salas limpas costuma ser projetada acima do valor necessário. Paralelamente, estudos publicados propõem modelos de estimação da concentração de partículas em salas limpas, considerando diversas características operacionais. Neste trabalho é proposta uma nova abordagem, onde a taxa de trocas de ar por hora pode ser estimada e fornecida ao ambiente controlado conforme a necessidade, gerando uma economia de energia através da redução da velocidade do insuflador, por meio de um sensor por software, composto por um modelo de estimação de concentração de partículas no interior de uma sala limpa. Como estudo de caso, foi utilizada uma das salas limpas do instituto itt-Chip da Unisinos. Os resultados revelaram que é possível, sob certas condições e cenários de utilização da sala, uma redução de até 75,6% na energia consumida pelo insuflador do sistema HVAC.
