Abstract:
This article intends to take a deeper look at how the pattern of mun?sabah offered by Salwa, this is certainly to see how new ideas are carried out and what is a significant difference between the idea of textual relation carried by Salwa and the theory of mun?sabah initiated by his predecessors such as al-Zarkasy, as-Suy?ti and al-Qa???n who are considered the most authoritative figures in the field of 'ul?mu al-Qur?n. Based on research conducted by the authors concluded that the theory used by Salwa is to use a historical-linguistic approach. So it is not only the pattern textually that Salwa tries to analyze the interrelationship but Salwa also sees how the historical context of the decline revelation and in the analysis as a mixture of themes and events that are interconnected between text and context. That is, Salwa basically tried to see how the pattern of mun?sabah in surah al-Ahz?b in answering political, cultural and social context problems in the early higiers in the Arabian Peninsula.

Abstract:
This study aims to describe the identity crisis of Diaspora people (Arab -American) in "Laila Halaby's" novel "Once in A promise Land". Halaby tackles the issues of racism, exclusion, and instability of identity that affect the Arab American community after the terrorist event of eleventh of September. She sheds light on the experiences of her significant characters Salwa and Jassim in America, clarifying how this event weakened their social position and made their presence in America questionable. "Halaby" describes the bitterness of her characters who are induced into a dream of belonging to a land that dismisses their original culture and religious values as well as their language. "Halaby" explains the subsistence in America involving challenges to face the harassment and verbal transgression. She reveals the failure of Salwa and Jassim to transcend the policy of fear and aggressive acts of America which help in dispersing them.

Abstract:
Abstract The Arabian Gulf is considered a naturally stressed environment due to extremes of salinity and summer temperatures, and the Salwa Bay area is commonly considered to be the most hypersaline extension of this gulf. This study documents foraminiferal diversity, abundance and incidences of test deformities in Salwa Bay, near the Saudi Arabia−Qatar Border. The total time-averaged (live + dead) benthic foraminiferal assemblage was dominated by porcelaneous taxa (85%). The three most abundant species were Peneroplis pertusus (24%), P. planatus (15%), and Coscinospira hemprichii (9%), accounting for nearly half of the total assemblage. Other common taxa included Elphidium spp. (14%), Ammonia spp. (10%), and Quinqueloculina sp. (4%). About a quarter of the specimens picked were living (rose Bengal stained) at the time of collection, and 43% of the tests of the most common taxa were mildly to severely deformed. Types of deformities included fusion of two adults or double tests, protuberances on the spiral side, abnormal chamber arrangement, abnormal shape of the proloculus, dents, re-positioning of the aperture, and modification of the coiling plane. Two genera accounted for three quarters of the observed test deformities: Peneroplis (58%) and Coscinospira (17%). The combination of elevated temperatures, high salinities, and the ecology of the taxa encountered is likely responsible for the abundance, relatively low diversity, and high incidence of deformities in foraminiferal tests from Salwa Bay. We conclude that the percentage of test abnormalities is not a useful environmental proxy for pollution in such naturally stressed environments where high incidences of test deformities commonly occur.

Abstract:
Abstract Shrimp paste is very much needed in NTB culinary. Several Micro small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Lombok produce shrimp paste. This study aimed to determine the chemical and physical quality of shrimp paste produced by MSMEs on the island of Lombok. The method used in this study was an experimental method with a Randomized Block Design and a single factor experiment with sampling locations, namely Shrimp paste of Putri Nyale (Jerowaru), Jero Acan (Jerowaru), TelukJor (Jerowaru), Lakara Salwa (Pringgabaya), Udang Rebon (Lembar) and SasakMaiq (BatuLayar). Each treatment was repeated three times to obtain 21 experimental units. The data were analyzed by analysis of variance at a 5% significance level using Co-Stat software. Significant different data were further tested with HSD test. The results showed that the moisture content, pH, hardness (texture) and color (Hue o) of shrimp paste from all producers were significantly different. There was a tendency that the higher the moisture content, the lower the hardness value (shrimp texture). Shrimp paste of Sasaq Maiq has the highest hardness of 39631. 98 kg/cm2 with the lowest moisture content of 23.21 %. Shrimp paste of Putri Nyale has the lowest hardness with the highest moisture content of 37. 55 %. Moisture content of Lakara Salwa shrimp paste and SasakMaiq does not meet the quality standards of shrimp paste (SNI 01-2716.1-2009). The acidity level of shrimp paste produced by MSMEs in Lombok is significantly different with a range of 6.4 to 7.57 which is influenced by the length of fermentation applied. Based on Hue°, the Lakara Salwa shrimp paste produces a red color range due to the use of dyes and other shrimp paste has a yellow red color with the use of natural raw materials.

Abstract:
This paper deals with “Thirty-one Beautiful Green Trees”, a short story written in Arabic by Salwa Bakr, the Egyptian critic, novelist and author. The reading I propose is extracted from deep ecology, namely the ecological self. It highlights the self’s identification with nature; opening one’s self up to the multifarious surrounding life forms, even when one lives in an urban setting. I hope to demonstrate that Kareema Fahmi, the protagonist, embodies the ecological self and tries to promote environmental ethics in the various settings in which the events unfold—her neighborhood, her work place, and the asylum she is admitted to. The events of the story also bring to the fore her experience of a marginalized woman in conservative patriarchal Egyptian society. I hope to illustrate how her concern for the quality of life, her love of nature, her love of her city Cairo and her feelings of oneness with the ecosystem, paradoxically, lead to tragic consequences of greater marginalization, and isolation, thus underscoring the cultural specificity of the story at hand. “Thirty-one Beautiful Green Trees” is unique in its representation of an Egyptian ecological self, that of a sensitive and environmentally conscious but ostracized young woman who desperately struggles to promote environmental ethics, free herself from bondage and assert her individuality in a society where women are silenced.

This article is to prove that the more comprehensive the interpretation of the Qur’an is the more objective his/her interpretation is. This article demonstrates that Sayyid Qutb is one of the mufassirs who interprets the Qur’an comprehensively. The concept offered by Qutb is the thematic unity of the Qur’an. Qutb’s interpretation is based on the thematic unity in the Qur’an as a whole and in its each Sura. This article agrees with Muhammad ‘Abd Allah Diraz, A.H. Mathias Zahniser who argue for the harmony, coherence and thematic unity of the Qur’an. However, it argues against ‘Izzuddin ibn ‘Abd al-Salam, Subhi al-Salih, and Salwa M.S. El-Awa who doubt and deny the harmony, coherence and thematic unity of the Qur’an.

Abstract:
Salwa Judum was a unique tribal-peasant movement that arose against the specific agenda of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) 1 (henceforth Maoists) in its full intensity in 2005 in the sub-region of Bastar ( baanstari, a Halbi word meaning the bed of or the land of bamboos) in Chhattisgarh. The movement began since January across different villages of non-Abujh Maad (the unknown hills of Madia/Koya tribes) sub-region that initially galvanised approximately 20,000 tribals. It was spontaneous and non-political (Prasad, 2012, p. 329). It was unique as the movement was against a ‘revolutionary’ group of Maoists and not against the state or against the zamindari system as most peasant movements in rural India were in the past. Its build-up was the culmination of suppressed anger of the tribals that had developed over decades against the Maoists also called ‘Naxalites’. It was a new and different phenomenon.

Abstract:
Muria is an indigenous tribal community, living in southern Chhattisgarh. Due to an undeclared war between the Maoists and Salwa Judum they were forced to abandon their villages in a much-distressed condition, causing their socioeconomic conditions to be severely affected. The Murias moved out from their native location and settled in the forested areas in the adjacent districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states. In these areas where they settled, the Murias did not have any rights over the resources such as land, forest and so on. The Murias being Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) had to cope with several challenges to earn the income to meet the basic needs of their families in the absence of livelihood choices. The current research article aims to articulate the challenges confronted by the Murias in the process of rebuilding their livelihoods.

Abstract:
This article focuses on the representation of female physical illness and disability in the works of two Arab women writers: Iraqi Alia Mamdouh’s Habbat al Naftalin [Mothballs] (1986) and Egyptian Salwa Bakr’s al ‘Arabah al Dhahabiyah la Tas‘ad ila al Sama’ [The Golden Chariot] (1991). It argues that the representation of female illness in these works centres upon the figure of the sick mother. Despite the limitations of this trope of illness, both novels offer a more complex illness narrative than those of their Arab predecessors. By problematizing the representation of the sick woman/mother, both novels challenge the traditional role of the silent, sick female figure whose story remains outside the limits of representation. Finally, the article argues that this textual recuperation of the female suffering body is achieved through the employment of a mother— daughter plot which continues to represent the sick mother as socially and emotionally absent but which nevertheless renders her a central figure in the daughter’s narrative.

This is one of the stories that illustrate the failure to marry the woman that a man chooses to marry. Bassim and Salwa love each other, but due to his economic status, he cannot afford the marriage requirements. Like his other stories, Khalil I. Al-fuzai, a Saudi Arabian short story writer, addressed “many social, political, and religious aspects he found in his society” (Dohal, 2013). In this story as it is the case with many other stories written by Al-fuzai, Bassim “struggles to overcome the financial difficulties he faces” (Dohal, 2020). In translating this story, Khalil I. Al-Fuzai (1940- ) will be introduced to new readers as an author of a different culture who has done his utmost to discuss the social issues found in his saudi 1970’s environment. Here, like Khalil I. Al-fuzai’s other protagonists in his collection of stories, Bassim struggles with his economic reality; in his society, marriage requires wealth; without money, a male should not consider getting married. Bassim has a job, yet his job does not provide him with enough money to marry and have a family. Here, like Khalil I. Abstract:
In this field study, the levels of heavy metals (Pb, Fe, Co, Cu, and Zn) in water and a suite of biochemical and histological biomarkers in the grouper ( Epinephelus tauvina) were assessed at four sites in the Arabian Gulf. Samples were taken from a relatively non-urban reference site, called Salwa (S1), and three effluent-dominated sites, namely Al-aziziyah in southern Dammam city (S2), the Al-Jubail coast (S3), and Manifa (S4). Toxic metals, namely Pb and Co (at all sites) and Fe (at S3), were elevated in water samples relative to the internationally permissible limits. In fish, induced levels of heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) in the liver at S3 and S4 were higher than those of the reference fish at S1. Additionally, the level of the lipid peroxidation (LPO) product (malondialdehyde (MDA)) was significantly increased in gills (at S3) and liver (at S2 and S3). There was an inhibition of catalase activities in the gills of fish from S2 to S4 and significantly higher activity levels of superoxide dismutase in the gills of fish from S4. Histopathological features such as aneurysms in gill vessels, deformed gill lamellae, increases in liver melano-macrophage centers, and hepatocellular necrosis were most abundant at sites where significant pollution problems exist (i.e. S2–S4). The results reveal that the eastern coast of Saudi Arabia, in the Arabian Gulf, is still contaminated, as indicated by elevated HSP70, LPO content and numbers of histological lesions, and that monitoring of contaminants and their effects should be continued in this region.

Abstract:
This paper aims to contruct the permissible rules that allow woman to unveil her Aurah based on (QS. Al-Nūr [24]: 60). The study of aurah has reaped many polemics from time to time, this is based on the fact that the Qur'an does not provide explicit information about the extent to which the aurah must be covered. In response to this, the scholars can be divided into two groups, the first is those who are strict in setting the limits of aurah on the historical manner. Meanwhile, in the other group, figures such as Syahrur gives freedom within deciding the limits of woman’s aurah according to the minimum and maximum limits. One of the reasons held by the second group in covering aurah term is that it could cause the difficulty or masyaqqah. In response to that, this paper contributes to bridge the gap based on (24: 60) which contains the permissibility for qawāid minan nisā’ to reveal his outer clothing. Through the linguistic approach which is relation of text belongs to Salwa MS El-Awa. The application of this method considers the aspects of coherence and relevance in the text. Coherence is intertwined with the component of the text whereas the relevance covers the wider aspect that could not be clearly seen by the text in which related to munasabah analysis. Then, this task approaches the problem through phenomenology view. The result appeared that religion actually allows an old or young woman who has not charm or attraction to open her khimār, niqāb and ridā’ on condition that has experienced menopause, has lost his lust, and does not intend to show jewelry, and she is in a private sphere; home

This rare publication on Islamic art and architecture revolves around a clearconceptual idea. A plethora of broad and specific survey texts continue to bepublished; however, very seldom does a thematic book come along with a thoroughlook at one idea. The collection is composed of an introduction, a port-128 The American Journal of Islamic Social Sciences 31:2folio, and ten essays. As with many compilations, the essays are not all of thesame caliber and there are some structural issues. And yet the whole is a refreshinglook at the theme of jannat (paradise) in Islamic art and architecturein the Indian subcontinent. Not only are several historical eras encompassed, but the important connection to contemporary artistic expressions is also made.Mumtaz Currim’s introduction succinctly discusses the themes covered. His excellent summary of the philosophical and cosmological concepts of paradisein relation to the garden is followed by a clear account of the chaharbagh (quad-partite garden) and the Mughal legacy of gardens as microcosmsof paradise. The relationship of water to both gardens and paradise are reflectedupon with respect to engineering and the expressions in textile art. Thesection concludes with a look at paradise in literary works and popular art.The portfolio includes beautiful reproductions of two very differentgroups of calligraphic art. The first collection is from the twelfth- to sixteenthcenturymanuscript Qur’ans in Hyderabad’s Salar Jung Museum. The selectedverses refer to paradise, such as those found in the chapters of al-Fātiḥah (TheOpening), al-Raḥmān (The Merciful), and al-Wāqi‘ah (The Event). The manuscripts’calligraphy, as well as their geometric and arabesque elaborations, are vividly reproduced in the color images. The second collection consists ofcontemporary artworks by Salwa Rasool, who uses canvas, vellum, leather, and other materials to focus on the Names of Allah and Sūrat al-Fātiḥah’s,chapter and religious phrases. With very little accompanying text, aside fromthe notation of details, the reader is introduced to the concept of paradisethrough the sheer beauty of the Qur’an’s textual descriptions and the word’sevocative role. Abstract:
Sabkhas are unique, highly saline ecosystems, where specially adapted plants can grow. Aeluropus lagopoides (L.) Thwaites is a halophytic forage plant growing in salt marsh habitats of inland and coastal sabkhas of Saudi Arabia. The present study provides an analysis of vegetation composition and distribution of the A. lagopoides community in five different regions within Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the environmental factors that affect species distribution. The floristic survey revealed the presence of 48 species, belonging to 26 families. Poaceae, Chenopodiaceae, Mimosaceae, Zygophyllaceae, and Asteraceae are the largest families (50% of total species). Phanerophyte, followed by chamaephytes, are the most frequent forms, indicating a typical saline desert life-form spectrum. The vegetation analysis revealed the dominance of A. lagopoides in all locations, where it was the most dominant species in Qareenah, Qaseem, and Salwa locations, and the second most dominant species in Jouf and Jizan locations. The flourishment of this halophytic grass within a wide soil range in sabkhas revealed its adaptability to the harsh environment, which could be ascribed to its structural adaptations and modifications, as well as the phenotypic plasticity. The Qareenah and Qaseem locations attained the highest species richness and evenness, while the Jizan location was the least diverse. Within the studied locations, other highly salt-tolerant species were determined with high abundances, such as Suaeda aegyptiaca (Hasselq.) Zohary, Zygophyllum album L.f., Tamarix nilotica (Ehrenb.) Bunge, Cressa cretica L., and Salicornia europaea L. The soil analysis showed a significant variation for all parameters among the studied locations, except for pH, chloride, and clay content. The Qaseem location revealed the highest values of most soil parameters, while the Jizan location showed the lowest. The canonical correspondence analysis (CCA) showed that the community structure and diversity are mainly affected by the soil salinity and moisture. Due to the economic potentialities of A. lagopoides as a forage plant and sand stabilizer, the conservation of its habitats is of vital importance. In addition, this grass could be integrated as a promising forage candidate that can be planted in saline-affected areas, even in the summer dry season.

Abstract:
In a pot experiment conducted in a growth chamber. the influence of five species of arbuscular fungi (<i>Glomales<i>) on growth and mineral nutrition of winter wheat (<i>Triricum aestivum</i>) cv. Salwa was investigated. After nine weeks of growth, plants inoculated with <i>Glomus calcdonium</i> and <i>G. mosseae</i> were significantly higher than those from control pots and those with <i>G. constrictum, G. deserticola</i> and <i>G. macrocarpum</i> mycorrhizae. All fungi significantly increased root dry weights, although <i>G. caledonium</i> was the most effective species. Except for <i>G. constrictum</i>, the other fungi significantly increased shoot dry weights of plants, with <i>G.caledonium</i> being the most effective species. <i>G. caledonium, G. macrocarpum</i> and <i>G. mosseae</i> significantly decreased root: shoot ratios. Inoculations significantly affected shoot and root N, P, K, Ca and Mg concentrations. Except for <i>G. constrictum</i>, all the other fungi significantly increased shoot N and Ca contents. Shoot P and K contents were significantly higher in plants harbouring only <i>G. caledonium</i> mycorrhizae. <i>G. caledonium. G. deserticola</i> and <i>G. mosseae</i> significantly increased shoot Mg contents. Except for <i>G.constritum</i>, the other fungi significantly enhanced root N and P contens. The fungi significantly increasing root K supplies were <i>G. caledoniumum, G. macrocarpum </i>, and <i>G. mosseae. Root Ca contents was significantly increased only in <i>G. constrictum</i> treatment. Except for <i>G. constrictum</i> and <i>G. mosseae</i>, the other fungi significantly increased root Mg contents, with <i>G. macrocarpum</i> ranking the first. Shoot and root dry weights and shoot N and K as well as root N and P contents in <i>T. aestivum</i> were significantly correlated with mycorrhizal colonization.
