La ciudad de Ronda, como testigo de excepción, se convirtió en escenario de lujo para albergar desde el día 10 de julio hasta finales del mes de agosto de 2003 la exposición El Hombre de la Sindone, que supuso revelar al público, un caso insólito, la plasmación de un proceso laborioso y arduo de investigación sobre el cuerpo de Cristo, a través de los análisis del Santo Sudario con sus implicaciones históricas, religiosas, científicas y técnicas.

Kota Cirebon merupakan daerah pesisir pantai utara jawa yang memiliki jalur pelabuhan sebagai tempat kegiatan perdagangan bangsa Indonesia dengan bangsa asing. Salah satunya yakni bangsa Eropa. Pada masa jajahannya, bangsa Eropa membangun rumah, kantor pemerintahan, tempat ibadah serta pemukiman sehingga terbentuk suatu tatanan kota kamp-kamp bangunan Kolonial, seperti yang tampak pada kawasan Jl. Yos Sudarso terdapat beberapa bangunan peninggalan Kolonial yang menjadi karakteristik fasad bangunan Kolonial pada kawasan tersebut. Jl Yos Sudarso memiliki karakteristik fasad sebagai bangunan bersejarah pada masa kolonial, sehingga karakteristik fasad ini dinilai sebagai penentu gaya arsitektur terhadap suatu bangunan. Menurut Rob Krier (2001:122) fasad merupakan bagian depan yang yang menghadap jalan serta pada bagian belakang sebagai ruang eksterior semipublik atau ruang eksterior pribadi. Fasad juga merupakan penyampaian budaya saat bangunan itu dibangun serta mengungkapkan kriteria tatanan, penataan dan memberikan kreativitas dalam ornamentasi serta dekorasi. Pada Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penetilian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif, yakni mendeskripsikan atau menjelaskan penelitian dengan fakta apa adanya. Serta teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui data primer dan data sekunder. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa bangunan Gereja Santo Yusuf memiliki karakteristik terhadap bangunan kolonial dengan penggunaan gewel di atas bangunan yang berbentuk segitiga.

Koridor Jalan Yos Sudarso merupakan wilayah yang memiliki nilai sejarah cukup tinggi hingga dijuluki sebagai Kota Tua. Seiring berjalannya waktu, pada Koridor Jalan Yos Sudarso telah terjadi perubahan fungsi, perubahan lahan dan perubahan bangunan. Perubahan tersebut dapat dilihat dari adanya perubahan fungsi, rehabilitas bangunan, penambahan fungsi dan penambahan bangunan, serta munculnya bangunan – bangunan modern di sepanjang koridor. Untuk hasil yang didapat, terdapat 5 bangunan tua yang masih berdiri kokoh di sepajang koridor yang sudah mengalami perubahan fungsi seperti Kantor Residen Cirebon yang kini menjadi tanah yang kosong serta tanah kosong dibangun menjadi bangunan baru bergaya modern, perubahan lahan dengan adanya penambahan bangunan seperti Bank Indonesia dan Gereja Santo Yusuf dan rehabilitasi pada bangunan tua seperti pada bangunan Kantor Pos Indonesia.

Cirebon memiliki banyak cagar budaya salah satunya yaitu Gereja Santo Yusuf. Gereja Santo Yusuf menjadi gereja katolik tertua se-Jawa Barat yang menjadi salah satu ikon di kota Cirebon. Gereja yang dirancang oleh Gaunt Slotez berada di Jalan Yos Sudarso tepatnya di Kecamatan Lemahwungkuk, Kota Cirebon, Jawa Barat. Gereja katolik yang berkembang pada tahun 1877 ini dirintis oleh seorang pengusaha bernama Louise Theodore Gonsalves yang juga menjadi seorang pemimpin perusahaan pabrik gula di Tersana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui simbolis penerapan ornamen yang ada pada gereja Santo Yusuf di Cirebon atau simbolisasi penggunaan ornamen pada elemen fasad gereja Santo Yusuf Cirebon. Metode analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode kualitatif. Data yang diperoleh melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara, pengumpulan data dari sumber informasi, pengukuran serta dokumentasi. Masing – masing gereja memiliki ciri khas tersendiri, mungkin yang menjadi salah satu ciri khas tersebut dapat dilihat dari ornamennya. Banyak orang yang mengetahui ornamen adalah karya yang indah, namun sedikit orang yang mengetahui ornamen juga memiliki simbolik. Maka dari itu, penerapan ornamen pada arsitektur gereja juga dapat mengetahui simbolik atau pesan yang terkandung di dalamnya. Pusat peradaban umat katolik di dunia berada pada Vatikan, Eropa

Gereja Santo Yusuf adalah sebuah banguanan kuno yang berada di Jl. Yos Sudarso, Kota Cirebon. Didirikan pada tahun 1878 oleh Louis Theodore Gonsalves, pemilik Pabrik Gula di pulau Jawa pada saat itu, dengan arsiteknya yang bernama Gaunt Slotez. Gereja ini didirikan sebagai ucapan terimakasih kepada ayahnya, Joseph Maria Gonsalves. Karena bangunan ini termasuk kedalam bangunan kuno yang berada di Kota Cirebon, kita sebagai mahasiswa arsitektur yang berada di Kota Cirebon sangat berantusias untuk mengadakan sebuah penelitian tentang Gereja ini. Karena gereja ini merupakan objek arsitektur kuno yang berada di Kota Cirebon, hal yang menarik pada Gereja ini terletak pada massa bangunannya, dan bentuk geometri yang tersirat pada Façade depan bangunan Gereja Santo Yusuf. Metode penelitian menggunakan observasi lapangan secara langsung dengan menggunakan landasan teori dari buku karya Sunaryo, Aryo (2002) penyajian dari hasilpenelitian ini menggunakan deskripsi kualitatif mengenai bentuk geometris dengan melibatkan 6 prinsip komposisi. Harapannya setelah penelitian ini selesai kita sebagai mahasiswa arsitektur bisa mengetahui dan memahami bagaimana bentuk bangunan gereja kuno, dan elemen-elemen penyusun ruangannya. Serta dapatmenjadi pembelajaran yang sangat bermanfaat bagi penulis serta pembaca, apabila nanti adanya kelanjutan ataupun ada yang meneruskan tentang penelitian gereja ini

Tras una primera parte en la que ponemos de manifiesto la escasez de investigaciones arqueológicas sobre construcciones termales medicinales de época roniana en nuestro país, pasamos a describir el conjunto termal de Caldes de Montbui. La parte mejor conservada corresponde a la plaza de la Font del Lleó, seguida del Antiguo Hospital de Santa Susagna. A continuación, damos una interpretación de las estructuras conocidas, intentando clarificar la diferencia entre los dos términos laconicum y concamerata sudatio. Se completa el trabajo con un intento de reconstrucción del balneario y las conclusiones, en las que se destaca la importancia del mismo.After a first part in which we point out the lack of archaeological researchs about medical thermal buildings in Román times in our country, we discribe tlie thermal site of Caldes de Montbui. The best preserved part is the square of «Font del Lleó», followed by the Oíd Hospital of Santa Susagna. We continué with an approarch to the known structures, trying to clarify the difference between the words laconicum and concamerata sudatio. The work is completed with an attempt of reconstruction of the spa and with the conclusions in wich its importance is shown.

<p class="Pa2">This journal is now to be known as UIC Research Journal International Edition. Nothing is really changed except that the Editorial Board has tapped some international reviewers to help evaluate and determine the scholarly merits of the papers submitted for publications. Thus, aside from the Filipino scholar reviewers who edit the manuscripts, six foreign-based experts also appraised the papers. Since the articles have already been critiqued by Filipino scholars at the specific areas of expertise, what the international reviewers actually did was to judge mainly the over-all quality of the journal article. For this issue, the following criteria were observed by the international referees: Technical Soundness - 30 percent, for the presentation, organization, and over-all appearance of the research article as a piece of technical write up; Readability for International Setting - 30 percent, for the acceptability of the research articles to non-Filipino readers, in terms of language, practices, level of technology and methods, laws, and culture in general; and Scholarship Quality – 40 percent, for the substance, writing style, editing, and relevance and timeliness of the research article. Their studies revolve around issues pertaining to instructional and auxiliary technologies that emanate from their areas of specialization. The Section Two – Health, tackles topics about health delivery system and food safety. These issues are discussed in the following: Knowledge, Skills and Attitude on Insulin Administration of Nurses in Davao City by Domingo T. So Jr. (Davao Doctors College), Rancidity of Used Cooking Oil and Heavy Metal Analyses on and Selected Street-Vended Foods by Annabelle A. Callano, and Leukocyte and Thrombocyte Increasing Activity and Nutritional Value of Formulated Suspension from Yellow Passion Fruit (<em>Passiflora edulis f. flavicarpa</em>, Passifloraceae) Juice by Florie C. Casalan. The Section Three - Education and Administration, deals on interesting topics coming from the following writers, namely, Ariel E. San Jose (University of Mindanao), Rhodora S. Ranalan, Felix C. Chavez Jr., Gloria P. Gempes and Ronel V. Sudaria (University of Mindanao), Joseph Elmer G. Noval (AMA Computer College-Davao), and Cesar A. Adegue IV. Diverse issues were investigated adding relevant bulk of knowledge in the mainstream of research activities and involvement. The Section Four – Pharmacy/Chemistry, presents studies that deals on phytochemical screening and determination of antibacterial activity of plants for medicinal uses and applications. A cirurgia de terceiros molares, embora seja um procedimento rotineiro em nível ambulatorial pode evoluir para complicações trans ou pós-operatorias, as quais o cirurgião deverá estar apto para conduzir os casos da maneira mais adequada. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi avaliar a prevalência das complicações associados a terceiros molares em um serviço de referência no sertão paraibano, Brasil. Este estudo se trata de pesquisa retrospectiva com levantamentos de dados através de prontuários odontológicos, os quais para serem inclusos para análise deveriam estar preenchidos completamente e os pacientes terem se submetidos a exodontias de algum terceiro molar e acompanhado por pelo menos 07 dias pós-operatório. A amostra foi formada com 226 prontuários, os quais registram 483 desses tipos de exodontias. Verificou-se que as complicações tiveram uma prevalência geral de 8,9%, de forma que as mais frequentes foram fratura radicular (27,9%), alveolite (20,93%), parestesia do nervo alveolar inferior (18,6%), parestesia do nervo lingual (7,0%), hemorragia trans-operatória (7,0%), fratura do túber da maxila (4,65%), parestesia do nervo facial (2,32%), luxação da ATM (2,32%), fratura de broca (2,32%), hemorragia pós-operatória (2,32%), laceração de tecido mole (2,32%), e lipotínea (2,32%).
