Full textMany researchers consider landscape as a complex object, like an opportunity to link different subjects, in order to produce a representation which results holistic and systemic. In this way the work looks at the relation nature and society through the agricultural landscapes observation. Rural landscape, in fact, can be considered as a language able to communicate the relation man-nature itself and which can facilitate in an ethical reflexion on development model. Therefore, the work aims to study not only territory visible characteristics but the idea of landscape suggested is that a universe of relations (ecological, social, economical, etc.). The description of agricultural ecosystems, agro-ecosystems, in this sense, can be seen as an opportunity to think about the relation between practice (agricultural technologies but also social and economical relations and practices) and cultural representations. The aim is to study cognitive maps and spatial configurations which create territorial asset. Agriculture appears important in this way not only because it produces commodities (food) but also commons (environment, landscape). The awareness of landscape economic value, therefore, should be considered not in the sense of its commercial exploitation, rather in order to promote environment politics aware of its limits, which means sustainable development politics.

Full textThis thesis explores the knowledge and practices of the female reproductive body in the process of gynecopoiesis. How do the production, reproduction, transformation and contestation of knowledge about reproduction influence the way women live their bodies? What are the implications of this process on the gender construction and experience? This thesis is based on ethnographic research conducted with thirty women who lived in the city of Bhuj (Gujarat, India). The research has an approach that integrates a visual and narrative methodology, proposing the technique of body mapping as a tool for analysing body representations. The text is organized in three parts. Each part presents with a different angle of analysis: representation, production and care of the female reproductive body. The first part, which is structured around the body maps, focuses on the articulation of anatomical and physiological knowledge. The body is investigated in its materiality and in its somatic manifestations, by the semantic and symbolic articulation of the different bodily substances and fluids. The second part considers the knowledge about the body and different practices that accompany the process of female subjectivation through a project of intentional shaping. In this context, two of the medical systems most used by women in Bhuj have been taken into consideration: allopathic and local medicine (deśī) represented by the practices of dāī māṃ (traditional birth attendant)

Full textThe question at the basis of this thesis is simple: which typology of relationship there may be between science and philosophy in education after the most recently neuroscience discoveries? Is there contradiction or an integration? Is the historical and traditional opposition confirmed or we could talk about a possible integration? In order to show the reciprocal interdependence between these fields, using a phenomenological method, the α section does a theoretic analysis of some assertions taken from Antonio Damasio’s researches. The β section looks trough the Merleau-Ponty’s phenomenology the same problems and introduces some concepts: the “flesh” (chair), the “chiasma” and “reversibility”, central ideas in order to think the relationship between things, beings, disciplines and education. Results show that it is neither a question of sacrificing education to science and philosophy, nor philosophy and science to education, since these fields are ontologically bound together. In conclusion results open further new questions: what are the consequences of “chiasma” relationship in education? Could we extend this particular relationship to other disciplines?

Full textThis research focuses on a techno-economic study of lithic industries at the end of the Upper Paleolithic and the frist Holocene of two sites in southern Italy: Grotta della Serratura (Salerno) and Grotta del Cavallo (Nardo).The industries of this period in southern Italy were the subject of essentially typological studies. With a new methodology we will try to produce new data and interpretations about these issues. The three main questions at the heart of this project are:- Through the study of technical traditions, we can identify moments of rupture or continuity, within the sequences studied? If yes, do we observe them at the same time in the sequences?- The two deposits, which are different from a geographical and environmental point of view, also show, in terms of technology, major differences, such as those highlighted by earlier typological studies (epigravettian regionalization phenomenon).- In the sequence of Grotta della Serratura, how do connect the two levels of the undifferentiated Epipaleolithic? And in the context of the Pleistocene / Holocene passage in the Mediterranean area?The lithic industries will therefore be approached along two axes. A first diachronic, since it involves identifying breaks and / or continuities in each sequence with the identification of technical traditions. The second axis is of synchronic order, with scaling up to a micro and macro - regional level
Questa ricerca si concentra su uno studio tecnico-economico delle industrie litiche alla fine del Paleolitico Superiore e il primo Olocene di due siti nel sud Italia: Grotta della Serratura (Salerno) e Grotta del Cavallo (Nardo).Le industrie di questo periodo nell'Italia meridionale sono ancora oggi oggetto di studi essenzialmente tipologici. Con una nuova metodologia dunque, cercheremo di ottenere nuovi dati e nuove interpretazioni su alcune problematiche al centro di attuali dibattiti scentifici. Le tre domande principali al centro di questo progetto sono:- Attraverso lo studio delle tradizioni tecniche, possiamo identificare momenti di rottura o continuità, all'interno delle sequenze studiate? Se sì, li osserviamo contemporaneamente nelle due sequenze?- I due depositi, diversi da un punto di vista geografico e ambientale, mostrano anche a livello tecnologico, importanti differenze, come quelle evidenziate dagli studi tipologici (fenomeno di regionalizzazione epigravettiana).- Nella sequenza della Grotta della Serratura, come si inseriscono i due livelli dell'Epipaleolitico indifferenziato? E nel contesto del passaggio Pleistocene / Olocene nell'area mediterranea?Le industrie litiche saranno quindi analizzate seguendo due assi: una diacronica, per mettere in luce discontinuità e / o continuità nelle sequenze analizzate sulla base delle tradizioni tecniche; l'altra sincronica, confrontando a livello micro e macro - regionale le sequenze analizzate

Full textThis research is incorporated within the wider framework of a thesis in Educational Studies which was co-tutored by the University of Nice in France and the University of Turin in Italy. We started by observing that the organisation of specialised education in Europe is far from being homogeneous. Consequently, Social Work Education in Italy is entrusted to Universities, yet not in France. Since French education was incorporated within the European Framework in 1989, the re-organisation of the educational content and its compliance with the rest of Europe has led to a deep reviewing of both the pedagogical model of reference and the conception of the profession itself. Moving from this comparative study, our thesis analyses the impact of this new model of transmission and recognition of knowledge on the professionalization of social workers in order to understand how the European framework acts through the two following postulates : the transferability of knowledge and the transferability of professional expertises. Starting from the specific field of specialised education, our study explores the double aspect of education – knowledge transferability – and professionalization – expertises transferability – in order to verify whether it is wise to talk about a common “European approach to social work”
Questa tesi in Scienze dell’Educazione ha visto la luce nell’ambito di una co-tutela tra l'Università di Nizza e l’Università di Torino. La premessa è che la professione dell’educatore in Europa è tutt’altro che omogenea. In Italia, sin dagli anni Novanta, la formazione degli educatori è affidata alle università e conserva una base disciplinare. In Francia, invece, essa é delegata alle scuole regionali ed é declinata in competenze. Inoltre, nel 2010 é stata attuata una profonda revisione del modello pedagogico in nome dell’adesione alle norme che regolano lo Spazio Europeo dell'Istruzione Superiore (SEIS). In questo quadro si colloca il nuovo modello di trasmissione e di riconoscimento dei saperi proposto dall’Europa, basato su due postulati : la trasferibilità delle conoscenze e delle competenze professionali. Partendo da un settore specifico come quello dell’educazione professionale, la ricerca si è proposta di esplorare il doppio aspetto della comparazione dei sistemi di formazione – trasferibilità delle conoscenze – e professionali – trasferibilità delle competenze – al fine di verificare se è possibile parlare di una "Europa dei mestieri del sociale"

XX que a possibilidade de “ver” o que não se vê, proporcionada pelo extraordinário avanço da ciência e da computação ao longo do século, entusiasma profissionais de várias áreas científicas num objetivo comum: o de produzir conhecimento sobre uma realidade não visível através da utilização de técnicas de deteção remota. A aplicação de métodos de Geofísica à Arqueologia acompanhou, em grande parte, o desenvolvimento da Geofísica, através de um denominador comum, o conhecimento das propriedades do subsolo que, de forma indireta, podem revelar marcadores de relevância arqueológica. Esta dissertação procura debruçar-se, essencialmente, sobre as especificidades e utilidade do estudo geofísico de uma área de interesse arqueológico, mais concretamente, sobre a versatilidade da Tomografia por Resistividade Elétrica como ferramenta complementar direcionada para o solucionamento de problemáticas arqueológicas. Desenvolvemos também, no âmbito desta dissertação, dois estudos de caso, o do Castro de Sapelos, em Boticas e o do Seminário Conciliar de São Pedro e São Paulo, em Braga, através dos quais procuraremos clarificar alguns aspetos quanto à metodologia de aquisição e também quanto à análise visual e gráfica dos dados de resistividade, através da utilização de softwares de código aberto, em particular do ParaView© 1.
Since the early 20th century that the possibility to "see" what cannot be seen has brought together professionals from several scientific areas towards a common goal: to produce knowledge using remote sensing techniques over a non-visible reality. The application of geophysical methods to Archaeology trailed the development of Geophysics itself, based upon a common denominator: the comprehension of a large set of subsurface physical properties that, indirectly, may reveal relevant archaeological markers. This dissertation seeks to address the characteristics and usefulness of geophysical studies in sites with archaeological interest, specifically over the versatility of Electrical Resistivity Tomography as a complementary tool, oriented towards the resolution of archaeological issues. We have also developed, as part of this dissertation, two case studies: the Castro de Sapelos, in Boticas, and the Seminário Conciliar de São Pedro e São Paulo, in Braga, through which we will seek to clarify some aspects regarding both the data acquisition specifications, as well as the visual and graphical analysis of resistivity data using open source software, specifically ParaView ©2.
