Abstract:
Abstract This study aims to determine the study of fish type and storage time to the characteristics of 'pedetan' fish in Jembrana-Bali. This research was conducted in March-May 2015 at Agricultural Processing Laboratory of Agricultural Faculty of Warmadewa University and TVB (Total Volatile Base) analysis was conducted at Fishery product and Quality Control Laboratory of Bali Province. The design used was Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) pattern consisting of two treatments and three replications. The first treatment is fish, the type of Sardinella sirm and Sardinella bleeker. The second treatment is the storage time which is consisting of 7 levels ie storage time 0 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 10 weeks, and 12 weeks. Observations are made objectively and subjectively. Objective observations include water content, acidity (pH), weight change, and TVB. Subjective observations include appearance, odor, taste, texture, and fungus using assessment method in accordance with the Indonesian standard of quality (SNI 2721.1: 2009). From the objective observation result, water content ranged from 8.13 to 17.07%, pH 6.18-6.55, weight loss 0 - 1.44%, and TVB 34.22 - 53.62 mg-N / 100gram, and subjective observations obtained with specification values ranging from 7.13 to 8.27, odor 7.15 - 8.31, flavors 7.07 - 7.71, texture 7.22 - 7.91, mushrooms (no mushrooms). All analysis parameters above meet the Indonesian standard of quality (SNI 2721.1: 2009). From the results of the study, it was found that Sardinella sirm and Sardinella bleeker with a duration of 12 weeks can maintain the characteristics of pedetan on storage. Abstract:
Spotted sardinella is one of small pelagic fish with high economic protein and it has been caught by mini purse seine. In fact, Spotted sardinella has a large number of catches which can endanger their sustainability in Java Sea. The purpose of the study was to find out the length of first caught, length and weight relationship, growth parameters, mortality rate, and exploitation rate of spotted sardinella. The method used was survey method. The data were collected once in every 1 month during August until November 2021 at Tasikagung Fishery Port. The primary data collected were fish total length (mmTL) and fish weight (g). The result of the study revealed that size structure of fish ranged from 120-205 mmTL and length first capture 170 mmTl. The length-weight relationship analysis was W = 0,00000571 L 3,54 with positive allometric growth pattern. The growth parameters by Von Bertanlanffy was Lt = 206,5(1-e-0,95(t+0,00266)) and it was categorized as fast growth. The fishing mortality and natural mortality were 1,71 year-1 and 1,01 year-1. The exploitation rate was 0,63 year-1, which means sardinella has been exploited.

Ikan lemuru (Amblygaster sirm) merupakan salah satu komiditas utama di Selat Sunda yang menjadi target nelayan di Pelabuhan Perikanan Pantai Lebuan. Informasi biologi dibutuhkan untuk menyusun langkah konservasi ikan lemuru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi biologis ikan lemuru di perairan Selat Sunda melalui pengkajian parameter pertumbuhan, faktor kondisi, dan beberapa aspek reproduksi. Pengambilan ikan contoh dilakukan pada bulan April-Agustus 2015 dari hasil tangkapan nelayan yang didaratkan di PPP Labuan, Banten menggunakan teknik Penarikan Contoh Acak Berlapis. Jumlah ikan contoh yang diambil selama penelitian sebanyak 527 ekor ikan jantan dan 245 ekor ikan betina. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola pertumbuhan ikan lemuru jantan dan betina adalah isometrik, nilai faktor kondisi ikan lemuru jantan berkisar 0,9346 – 1,0294 dan betina berkisar 0,9401 – 1,0738, parameter pertumbuhan L∞, K, dan t0 pada ikan jantan adalah 248,80 mm; 0,24/tahun;dan -0,38. Adapun parameter (L∞, K, dan t0) pada ikan betina adalah 235,26 mm; 0,46/tahun, dan -0,20. Nisbah kelamin ikan lemuru jantan dan betina TKG IV adalah 0,75:1. Ukuran pertama kali matang gonad (Lm) ikan lemuru jantan dan betina adalah 188 mm dan 186 mm. Sedangkan ukuran pertama kali tertangkap (Lc) ikan lemuru jantan dan betina adalah 172 mm dan 173 mm. Musim pemijahan ikan lemuru diduga terjadi pada bulan Mei dan Juli.The spotted sardinella (Amblygaster sirm) was one of main commodities in the Sunda Strait that maily targeted by fishers in Labuan Coastal Fishing Port, Banten. The biological information needed to setup conservation measure of the spotted sardinella. This research aims to analyse the biological conditions of spotted sardinella in the Sunda Strait by reviewing parameters of growth, condition factor, and some reproduction aspect. Research was conducted in April-August 2015 in Labuan Coastal Fishing Port, Banten by using Random Stratified Sampling technique. About 700 samples (527 male and 245 female fishes) collected during study. The results showed that the growth pattern of male and female were isometric, value of condition factor for male ranged from 0,9346 – 1,0294 and for female ranged from 0,9401 – 1,0738. The estimated growth parameters (L∞, K, and t0) for male were 248,80 mm; 0,24 year-1;and -0,38 respectively. While, the parameters (L∞, K, and t0) of female were 235,26 mm; 0,46 year-1;and -0,20 respectively. The sex ratio between males and females for spotted sardinella was 0,75:1. The size at first maturity (Lm) of male and female were 188 mm and 186 mm, respectively. In addition, the size a first caught (Lc) of male and female was 172 mm and 173 mm, respectively. Thespawning season spotted sardinella possibly occurs in May and July.

Abstract:
Bone is one of the major sources of hydroxyapatite (HAp) in the form of calcium phosphate. The increasing demand for HAp has brought much interest in research line to find the best method for its production either synthetically or naturally. Calcination of natural bone is a common heat treatment method for production of HAp. However, the optimum temperature of calcination depends on source and heating profile of the bone. Therefore, this study aimed to determine heating profile and the optimum calcination temperature of Nano-hyroxyapatite (Nano-HAp) extracted from spotted sardinella (Amblygaster sirm) bone. Characterization of Nano-HAp was carried out using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), chromameter and X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectroscopy. The composition of protein, ash, moisture and lipid content of raw bone (RB) were 1.08%, 50.98%, 10.47% and 3.78%, respectively. Results demonstrated that the optimum temperature for extracted nano-hydroxyapatite (HAp-1) was 700°C based on yield percentage (55%) and colour changes value (∆E=18). Heating profile of raw bone demonstrated the highest reduction of weight loss percentage (320°C to 610°C=36%); which determined the melting point of the bone that acted as a supporting analysis for calcination. XRD confirmed the crystallinity phase of HAp-1 particle similar to the standard peak of HAp, (PDF No: 1-1008) and comparable with the standard HAp. Based on the heating profile and colour changes value, the findings demonstrated that the calcination of HAp from bone of spotted sardinella (Amblygaster sirm) could be carried out at an optimum temperature of 700°C. Overall findings have suggested that the optimum calcination temperature obtainedmay contribute to the development of optimal method for the extraction of HAp via heat treatment process with different fish species.

Bagan perahu merupakan salah satu jenis alat tangkap di PPN Karangantu yang beroperasi pada malam hari. Bagan perahu menarik ikan target tangkapan yaitu ikan pelagis kecil fototaksis positif menggunakan atraktor cahaya berupa lampu. Salah satu kendala nelayan bagan perahu adalah pencahayaan lampu mengalami pembiasan. Penggunaan lampu bawah air bertujuan untuk mengurangi pembiasan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan lampu bawah air terhadap hasil tangkapan bagan perahu dan mengetahui komposisi hasil tangkapan bagan perahu dengan dan tanpa lampu bawah air. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 10 trip menggunakan metode experimental fishing. Selisih berat total hasil tangkapan antara bagan perahu dengan dan tanpa lampu bawah air pada trip 1 sebesar 33,4 kg, trip 2 sebesar 38,9 kg, trip 3 sebesar 31,1 kg, trip 4 sebesar 41,1 kg, trip 5 sebesar 28,8 kg, trip 6 sebesar 30,5 kg, trip 7 sebesar 35,4 kg, trip 8 sebesar 34,3 kg, trip 9 sebesar 38,7 kg dan trip 10 sebesar 31,6 kg sehingga menunjukkan hasil tangkapan lebih banyak bagan perahu dengan lampu bawah air. Hasil tangkapan utama bagan perahu adalah ikan Teri (Stolephorus sp.) dan Cumi-cumi (Loligo sp.). Hasil tangkapan sampingan bagan perahu antara lain ikan Petek (Leiognathus sp.), Tembang (Sardinella sp.), Lemuru (Amblygaster sirm), Selar Kuning (Selaroides leptolepi) dan Layur (Lepturacanthus savala). Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil yaitu terdapat pengaruh antara lampu bawah air dengan hasil tangkapan pada bagan perahu. Boat lift net is one type of fishing gear at PPN Karangantu which operates at night. Boat lift net attracts the target catch fish, the small pelagic fish is positive phototaxis using a light attractor in the form of a lamp. One of the constraints of fishermen on the boat chart is that the lighting has experienced refraction. Underwater lamp aims to reduce refraction.The purpose of this research is to know the effect of underwater lamp usage on boat lift net fishing catch and to know the composition of boat lift net with and without using underwater lamp. This research was conducted for 10 trips using experimental fishing methods. The difference in total catch of boat lift net with and without underwater lamp on trip 1 is 33,4 kg, trip 2 is 38,9 kg, trip 3 is 31,1 kg, trip 4 is 41,1 kg, trip 5 is 28,8 kg, trip 6 is 30,5 kg, trip 7 is 35,4 kg, trip 8 is 34,3 kg, trip 9 is 38,7 kg and trip 10 is 31,6 kg so it shows the catch is more the boat lift net with underwater lamp. Fish targets of the boat lift net are Anchovy (Stolephorus sp.) and Cuttlefish (Loligo sp.). The bycatches of boat lift net are Pony fish (Leiognathus sp.), Fringescale sardinella (Sardinella sp.), Indian sardinella (Amblygaster sirm), Trevally (Selaroides leptolepi) and Hairtail fish (Lepturacanthus savala). The conclusion that can be drawn that there is an influence between underwater lamp and catches on the boat lift net.

Abstract:
The potential of strategic fish resources in Ace Barat District is especially pelagic fish species andit catch is usingboat seine (payang). The aims of this study is to know the type of fish, the number of fish and the composition of the fish species caught using boat seine in the Zone of Potensial Fishingof West Aceh District. This research was conducted in January to February 2016 at Ujong Baroh FishLanding Johan Pahlawan Sub-district, West Aceh District. Survey and purposive sampling method are method used to collect data on the composition of fishermen boat seine. Descriptive analysis was used to analysis data. The results show that there were 5 species of fish caught using boat seine, namely kelang trieng (Caesio cuning), turok (Alepes kalla), meuneng (Sardinella sirn), tambal (Hypoatherina valencienne) and kembung (Restralliger sp). The number of catch fish that used as the sample is 124 individuals. Based on the catch frequency, Sardinella sirnfish and Alepes kalla fish species are more dominant than the others fish, which is 3 times of trips (75%) of the totalof trips (4 times). However, based on the quantity of the catch, Sardinella sirn fish has a larger number of 41 individuals with details male 20 individuals and females 21 individuals. Based on the frequency and quantity of catches, it is assumed that in January and February is the fishing season of Sardinella sirn fish in the waters of West Aceh District

Abstract:
Sunda Strait has high potential of pelagic fish resources, one of which is spotted sardinella (Amblygaster sirm). High market demand of spotted sardinella leads to its high exploitation. Management of sustainable used of this species need various biological information of the target species.The aims of this research wereto analyze of therecruitment pattern, mortality, and exploitation rate of spotted sardinella. Sampling was conducted in April to August 2015 from the catchment landed at Labuan Coastal Fishing Port, Banten. Fish samples taken during the study consisted of 527 males and 245 females. The results showed thatpeak recruitment season for spotted sardinella occurs in Maret (11.64%) and July (13.67%).The natural mortality (M), fishing mortality (F), total mortality (Z) for male were 0,33; 5,30; 5,63 year-1 respectively, and for female were 0,51; 7,75;8,27 year-1 respectively.
