Industrial scale reactors work adiabatically and measuring their performance in an isothermal bench scale reactor is faced with uncertainties. In this research, based on kinetic models previously developed for alumina and titania commercial Claus catalysts, a multilayer bench scale model is constructed, and it is applied to simulate the behavior of an industrial scale Claus converter. It is shown that performing the bench scale isothermal experiments at the temperature of 307 ºC can reliably exhibit the activity of catalytic layers of an industrial Claus converter operating at the weighted ave

This effect can be problematic for detecting corrosion because corrosion scale can adhere to the tuning fork and result in a null mass effect with little change in frequency despite significant corrosion. Abstract:
Contract farming (CF) is increasingly seen as an effective mechanism to maximise the inclusion of and benefits for small-scale farmers, while giving some control over production to agribusinesses without requiring land ownership. In Cambodia, CF takes many forms and involves food and industrial crops, yet the different CF models and contract types have not been identified. Farmers and contractors have encountered many problems in obtaining reliable benefits from and sustaining CF schemes. The research objectives were to identify and evaluate the various models of CF practiced in Cambodia, expl

Collaboration with the private sector has been an influential tool in addressing a variety of complex issues or problems in both developed and developing economies around the globe. Like many countries, Cambodia has strongly promoted collaboration with the private sector across all education sectors. In the Cambodian TVET sector, the Royal Government of Cambodia has emphasised public-private partnerships (PPP) in its national TVET Policy 2017-2025 and Skills Development Roadmap 2023-2035. Such collaboration can make TVET more industry-relevant by increasing the private sector’s role, duties, a

Abstract:
The production of a renewable energy from biomass, such as ethanol by fermentation, has received special attention as a consequence of the world energy crisis. Nowadays, gasohol E-10, a mixture of 10% ethanol and 90% gasoline has been widely used in vehicles in Thailand and there is an attempt to promote the use of E-20 or E-85 in the vehicles in the near future. Ethanol fermentation by conventional batch suffers from various constrains such as, low cell density and rather time consuming. Although continuous fermentation by suspended cell culture can be used to speed up the process, it is more

Highly concentrated imports can be a source of vulnerability in an environment characterized by geopolitical tensions. In light of this concern, some recently adopted policies aim to dilute advanced economies’ import concentration for key products. Likewise, a tendency towards supplier diversification has been observed in firm surveys. In this paper, we study how countries’ import concentration in a few external providers affects import prices. Import concentration decreased in OECD countries in the last two decades, especially up to the global financial crisis, in the hyper-globalization peri
