The objective of this thesis is to improve understanding of the development of corrosion products (scales) that form on the inner walls of carbon steel pipelines in CO2-rich (sweet) oilfield environments. Cordy/us cordy/us, Pseudocordy/us micro/epidotus and P. capensis. These skin derivatives were histologically examined and compared, using data existing in literature (Maderson, 1966; 1967; 1968a) with similar structures in gekkonids.
