Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To identify teaching managers' perceptions regarding the relationship of school feeding and the promotion of healthy eating habits among students. METHODS A descriptive study with a qualitative approach was developed in the city of Guarulhos (Southeast Brazil). Key informants from municipal public schools were interviewed. Public schools were selected (n=13) and classified as to the level of social exclusion, size and economic activity of the region where the school was located. Pedagogic coordinators and school principals were individually interviewed with semi-structured questions. RESULTS From school principals and pedagogical coordinators' perceptions, three categories were identified: Food in the school context; School feeding program's role and the Concept of food and nutrition security, which indicate that they considered meals as part of school routine in order to attain physiological needs of energy and nutrients. Their answers also indicated that they did not consider school meals as a pedagogical action related to their specific responsibilities. CONCLUSIONS The relationship between the school feeding and the formation of eating habits is not a topic usually discussed between the different professionals involved with health and education. The implementation of health promoting policies will only be possible after a debate about how schools and their pedagogical team adopt the program guidelines and how the professionals decode these strategies in daily activities.

Abstract:
Background. Quality of education plays a crucial role in the social, economic, and political development of a nation. Primary school is a vital stage in developing the personality and consciousness of school children. Objective. The study assessed the Body Mass Index and factors associated with School Absenteeism at selected primary schools in Addis Ababa, 2018. Methods. A comparative cross-sectional study was undertaken on 324 (162 each group) from selected primary schools of Addis Ababa from May 02 to July 30, 2018. All participants and their families provided written informed consent and assent. A systematic random sampling technique was used to select participants, where the list of students was once identified from the selected schools. An independent t-test was undertaken at p value <0.05 as the statistically significant level. And, binary logistics regression was used for the identification of factors statistically associated with school absenteeism, with its respective 95% confidence interval (CI) and p value of <0.05 significant level. Findings. There was a statistically significant difference between feeding and nonfeeding participants on average weight, school absenteeism, and BMI for age, at p < 0.05 . Participants who enrolled in the school feeding program had a higher average weight than nonfeeding participants ( p < 0.05 ). Participants from the feeding group had lower average school absenteeism than their counter participants ( p < 0.05 ). The average BMI for age was significantly higher among feeding participants than nonfeeding participants ( p < 0.05 ). The odds of having school absenteeism were 1.796 times higher among feeding participants than among nonfeeding participants (AOR: 1.796; 95CI:1.061–3.042, p < 0.05 ). The odds of sustaining absenteeism from the school were 2.257 times higher among feeding participants than among nonfeeding participants (AOR: 2.257; 95%CI: 1.291–3.948; p < 0.05 ). Conclusion. A higher number of school absenteeism, average weight, and BMI for age were observed in participants enrolled in the school feeding program than those who did not get enrolled in the feeding program. Large-scale studies were recommended to testify the impacts of school feeding on absenteeism.

Abstract:
School Feeding Programme (SFP) is the provision of food to primary day-school children. It is an intervention designed to support the education of children living in poverty and food insecure areas. It is viewed as a potential safety net and social support measure that help keep children in school and make them learn. The study was designed to establish the sustainability of school feeding programme in Zambia with specific focus on Western Zambia. A descriptive survey design was used. The study employed both qualitative and quantitative research methods. The instruments that were used in data collection included questionnaires, interviews and focus group discussion guides. This research was conducted in nine of the sixteen districts of Western Zambia. The sample consisted of four hundred fifteen respondents drawn from the targeted population. Simple sampling and purposive sampling procedures were used to select the respondents. Qualitative data were analysed using descriptive statistics while qualitative data were done using the thematic approach. The findings of the study revealed that SFP in most schools was not sustainable because it relied mostly on external support and also showed that the challenges faced the implementation of SFP were diverse. Few Schools that revealed SF was sustainable attributed the sustainability to the school projects they were engaged in. It was also disclosed that Home Grown School Feeding (HGSF) was identified as the best option for effective and sustainable SFP. The study recommends the need for the government to revamp the production unit in all the schools; for correct assessment of local and national capacity, and the need for complimentary investment in local agricultural production to ensure smooth programme operation and sustainability.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to contribute to the debate concerning community participation in school-based health education and health promotion, with regard to food and nutrition. Design/methodology/approach Based on empirical data generated over the course of one year of fieldwork in three rural communities and schools in Ecuador, the study examines community participation related to the implementation of the school feeding programme (SFP) in rural schools in Ecuador. The conceptual framework for the study is shaped by the concepts of student and community participation within the health promoting school (HPS) paradigm. Findings The findings help identify and portray different forms of community participation, ranging from a total absence of meaningful participation, though very limited, to consequential participation determined as community influence on the SFP practices to meet the community needs, priorities and systems of meanings. Research limitations/implications The study shows that the meaningful participation of the parents and community members in small rural schools in a low- to middle-income country such as Ecuador can be linked to an empowered stance towards the SFP so that it is better tuned to local conditions, priorities and systems of meaning. School leadership, geographical characteristics and internal community organization seem to influence how participation is valued and enacted. Challenges remain in the interpretations of community participation, including counter- and non-participation of members. Originality/value The study contributes to an understanding of policy implementation and the implications of a HPS approach to health education and health promotion in small rural schools.

Abstract:
Background: Childhood malnutrition is a public health problem in most developing countries and in Nigeria, to control it the school feeding programme was launched. This study sought to compare dietary practices and nutritional status of school children on the feeding programme with those not included in the programme, in Jos North Local Government Area, North-Central Nigeria. Methods: This school-based comparative cross-sectional study was carried out among 247 pupils selected using a two-staged sampling technique from four public primary schools; two of which were running the National School Feeding Programme. Data was collected and analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 21.0. A 95% confidence interval was used and a probability value of p ≤ 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: There was no statistically significant difference in the nutritional practices of the pupils in both groups (p = 0.3661) and majority of the pupils on the school feeding programme liked the food served because it was palatable. The prevalence of stunting among school-fed pupils was 43.3% compared with 47.5% among the non-school fed pupils (p=0.035). The prevalence of overweight among school-fed pupils was 1.6% compared with 2.5% among those not on the school feeding programme (p = 0.456). The proportion of children with normal weight for height was higher among school-fed pupils (92.1%) compared with the non-school feeding programme group (84.2%) (p=0.035).Conclusion: There was no difference in the dietary practices reported by both groups of pupils; however, nutritional status was better among the school-fed children. It is recommended that the school feeding programme be extended to all public primary schools in Jos North LGA.

Abstract:
This paper compares nutrition intakes and nutritional status of school children from two public schools in neighbouring communities of Ghana with different school feeding programmes. One hundred and eighty-two caregiver and school-age child pairs were interviewed concerning socio-demographics, dietary practices, and food security in a cross-sectional design. The independent t-test was used to compare the contribution of the publicly funded Ghana School Feeding Programme and private School Feeding Programme meals to total daily nutrient intakes of the children. Predictors of nutritional status of the children were assessed using logistic regression models. The private school feeding programme contributed more energy, protein, and micronutrients as compared to the government school feeding programme. About two-thirds (67.0%) of the children were stunted, underweight, or anaemic. Child’s age was a significant predictor of stunting. Undernutrition was prevalent among children from both programmes. Improved quality of diet from the feeding programmes may contribute to addressing malnutrition in these children.

Abstract:
Starting in 2015, the government of Ghana implemented austerity as a response to economic challenges in the country. The aim of this paper, therefore, is to demonstrate how a political climate of austerity undermines the goal of linking local agricultural production to school feeding markets. The paper draws on one-on-one semi-structured in-depth interviews with 25 service providers and one expert from the international NGO SEND-Ghana to examine the implication of austerity for Ghana’s home-grown school feeding programme. The findings reveal that austerity has meant that the actions and decisions of the service providers undermine the critical goal of linking the school feeding market to local agricultural production. Specifically, due to significant delays in reimbursing service providers for services delivered, the service providers are forced to deliver the programme by relying on credit purchases from the open market, rather than purchasing 80% of their foodstuff from the local smallholder farmers as required of them. Thus, Ghana might miss out on the development policy potential of stimulating local agricultural production through its connection to school feeding markets.

Abstract:
The study sought to establish the benefits of school feeding programme (SFP) in Western Zambia. It also brought out the challenges encountered in the execution of the programme. This article is an extract from one of the objectives of ongoing study. School feeding entails the distribution of food commodities to children who attend school. The commodities may be locally grown and purchased or contributed by international donor community. The food may be consumed by the learners in school. In other settings, it may be given as take-home ration for consumption by the families that regularly send their children to school. The study employed a descriptive survey research design to collect, analyse and interpret both quantitative and qualitative data from 415 respondents. The results of the study showed that the school feeding programme is an intervention which has enormous education benefits; equitable access to education, increased school enrolment, improved attendance, punctuality and academic performance. Other benefits include: health and nutrition, social protection, parent involvement, and opportunities for local farmers. However, challenges were also reported; there were some possible negative attributes to the increase in the enrolment rates, that is, the educational quality may be compromised if the number of learners exceeds available resources such as desks, text books, teachers, and irregular supply of food to schools. The study recommended that plans and measures should be put in place by the government, relevant ministries and development partners on how to increase existing human, physical, and financial resources for the school feeding programme to be effective and sustainable. SFP should also be decentralized to the schools and community levels with more support from provincial offices to ensure a more effective school feeding programme.

Mayers, John M. "The development and management of school feeding in Barbados." Thesis, University of Surrey, 1990. http://epubs.surrey.ac.uk/843986/.

Full text
Abstract:
The development of school feeding in Barbados is investigated against the background of a former British colony providing biscuits and milk to undernourished children, to an independent country developing and providing school meals over the past twenty-five years. Over 25,000 primary school children are provided with a daily meal, and the headteachers and caterers are generally satisfied with the School Meals Programme. The nutritional role of the school meal to the primary school student and the ordinary packed lunch to the secondary school student are considered in the light of nutritional requirements and the feeding behaviour of the child and the adolescent. An attitude based approach using a Likert Scale was developed to determine what was important to the child in the school feeding environment. A number of problem areas were identified as being relevant, and these areas had varying degrees of importance depending on the age of the child. The attitude measurement tool proved satisfactory in predicting feeding behaviour. The analysis of school meals shows them to be adequately balanced and providing approximately one-third of the Recommended Dietary Allowances. Most of the nutrients are available in adequate quantities except for some in which the meals are deficient. The consumption of Vitamin C, on the other hand, is high. A large proportion of carbohydrate is eaten outside the school. The significance of the school meal becomes evident when the student goes on to secondary school. It was established that the school meal was missed particularly between ages 11-13. Despite minor differences in attitude and intake, there is no significant difference between the sexes. Nutrition education is a vital area as school feeding advances to the twenty-first century.

Bryce, Carol. "Feeding pre-school children : negotiating good motherhood through food." Thesis, University of Warwick, 2014. http://wrap.warwick.ac.uk/65094/.

Abstract:
Food retains a central importance in family life, which extends beyond its nutritional necessity. Through in-depth interviews with 39 mothers of pre-school children, this study focuses on how mothers negotiate the complex and competing priorities of feeding their children. Mothers are expected to feed their children, according to expert definitions of appropriate nutrition, whilst taking account of individual food preferences and structural constraints. The ways that feeding children intersects with the construction of ‘good’ mother or how mothers negotiate external information and advice on feeding their children has not been the focus of much research. This research considers these issues at a time when government policy remains focused on health, lifestyles and obesity. This study shows that mothers feel the responsibility of motherhood strongly whilst accepting their accountability. It also shows that feeding children is one of the main concerns of mothers of young children and one that occupies a great deal of time. By talking to mothers of different ages and living in different social circumstances, this study shows that all mothers accept the links between food and health and all take account of these links as they look to their children’s future health. All mothers seek external sources of information and advice but sources differ with mothers’ age and social class. Expertise is found not to be the preserve of those with formal qualifications as mothers talked of how expertise is negotiated. Mothers therefore work hard to negotiate their own versions of good motherhood through their food decision-making. By focusing on the aspects of feeding children that are considered the most important at any given time, mothers are able to negotiate their own sense of good motherhood.

This study is about the relationship between family farmers in a city located in the center of Cearà state and the National School Food Programme â PNAE. It focuses mainly in the Article 14 of the Federal Law 11.947/2009, which stablishes that at least 30% of the financial resources destined to buying school food must be spent with food from Family farming. It tries to explain how is caracterized the action of the school and City administration in buying products from family farmers as well as verifying if such purchase has considered local food culture and the development of actions of Nutricional and Food Education â EAN. It researches how PNAE mobilizes forces in the community to raise the local development, trying to understand local social culture, in their actions of social development to the access of family farmers to the market of School Meals. Qualitative approach had, as a tool, the interviews done with farmers, local leaders, institutionals actors from the Programme, educational actors who participated in the training of the farmers to be part of the PNAE, technicals professionals from the NGOs and EMATERCE, the diretor of a state school and people in charge of the nutritional aspects of the School Meals. To analyse these speeches it was used the theorical methodological support of the book Entrevista Compreensiva, from Kaufmann (2013), and of the book HermenÃutica da Profundidade, from Thompson (1995). The discussion on PNAE, EAN, Nutritional Food Safety, besides the problematization on social capital of the Ãrea, anchored on the pressupostos of Putnam (2006) and Castilhos (2002), it tried to favour the comprehension of the practice of the public policies of local development and relations of trust. The findings of the research indicated a separation in the relationship of trust and dialogue with family farmers from the Municipality and institucionais agents from PNAE, precluding the buying of food itens from family farmers, and put in risk of ending the Food Security and Nutritional Food of the region and the Nutritional Food Education of the students.

Crandle, Grace. "Problematic pre-school sleeping and feeding: is there a common link?" Thesis, University of Canterbury. Psychology, 2009. http://hdl.handle.net/10092/6234.

Abstract:
Problematic feeding and sleeping is an unrelenting issue for many parents. Research has identified that childhood obesity may be related to both areas. These are two aspects of development very heavily influenced by parents. This study therefore addresses the question “is there a relationship between problematic sleeping and feeding in infants?” It further considers whether parenting style is a common link between the two. Nineteen parents of children aged between 18 and 48 months were interviewed about their parenting strategies in general, and more specifically about feeding and sleeping behaviours of their children. They also completed diaries and questionnaires. The data was analysed to ascertain whether there was a relationship between feeding and sleeping problems and whether these problems related to a number of parenting measures. Strategies utilised by parents to handle feeding and sleeping problems were also ascertained. The sample that volunteered for this study did not report sleeping and feeding problems so information about these problems was derived from diary measures. Feeding and sleeping problems were evident on these measures and parents employed numerous different strategies to handle them. There was no difference evident in the strategies adopted by parents of preschoolers with and without sleep and feeding problems. There was no evidence that problems in sleeping and feeding were correlated and there were no correlations between feeding and sleeping problems and any of the other parental measures.

The School Feeding National Program (PNAE) aims to contribute to overcome the low school revenue and in the reduction of the school escape. In spite of the social politics of school feeding not to seek to eliminate the child malnutrition in Brazil, just looking for to supply 15% of the children's needs daily, it is important for the fact of representing access to necessary foods to the growth and the learning for the scholars, as well as for supplying the possibility of the ransom of customs and local customs, important in the ethnic identity of the population. Besides, the resources destined to the purchase of the school snack can represent for the community a possibility of maintainable development, because the administration of the resources of a participant form can take to the construction of a new rationality in the exploration of the local natural resources. The main motivation of this work is to contribute for the discussions of the public politics in the reduction of the poverty and to understand the inter relationships among the offer of a compensatory politics and the impact s generated for the population plaintiff. It is looked for through a case study, where the geograp hical space is the municipal district of TauÃ- CE, to determine the efficiency, effectiveness and effectiveness of a re-distribution program through the descriptive analysis of the PNAE users perspective. It is a subsequent evaluation, that if using of bibliographical and documental research , of the application of questionnaires to the school community, of interviews to the nutritionist and representatives of the institutions of local fomentation and of tabulation for the statistical program Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), it evidences that the problems of infrastructure of the transports and highways of the municipal district and the absence of equipments in the schools represent the main impediments within reach of the effectiveness of the Program and that the loss of the purchase power of the R$ 0,13 per capita/day allied to the accomplishment of the equality of the population-objective made of a centralized form, commits its efficiency. Finally, it explicits the absence of the use of indicators for the measuration of its effectiveness by the managers of the program and the school community's ignorance in relation to its administration.

Abstract:
INTRODUCTION: the feeding habits of school children can be influenced by sociodemographic characteristics and environment, whether school, home or outside the home. To assess food intake school among children in different settings can provide information about the quality of food offered at each lo cation. The Healthy Eating Index 2005 (HEI - 2005) is an appropriate tool, for assessing the quality of food consumed, comparing them with Brazilian recommendations. OBJECTIVE: to describe the diet quality of school children by means of the HEI - 2005. METHODS : this was a cross - sectional study of school children 7 - 10 years of two public schools in São Paulo. Information on socioeconomic and nutritional status was collected, as well as, food consumption by the application of three 24 - hour records. The diet quali ty was assessed by HEI - 2005 method. RESULTS: the mean HEI - 2005 score was 64.6 points and most children presented a diet needing improvement. The components that had lower scores were whole grains and sodium, and higher scores were observed for oils, meats, eggs and beans, and total cereals. Girls had higher consumption of fruits and lower consumption of meat, eggs and beans, and sodium. The lowest sodium intake associated with parents higher level of education and increased number of daily meals. School ch ildren who consumed breakfast had higher consumption of vegetables and milk. The increased consumption of meals at home was associated with lower intake of saturated fat and calories from solid fats and added sugars (SoFAAS), in addition to being a protect ive factor for a better diet quality. School children that consumed meals outside the home had higher intake of whole grains and SoFAAS. CONCLUSION: The assessment of diet quality of school children showed that they do have a food intake that meets Brazili an recommendations . The more meals at home is regarded as a protective factor for a better diet when compared to more meals outside the home, thus, shares of food and nutrition education shall be directed to the school children, in order to reduce the cons umption of processed foods and outside the home. Furthermore, the presence of a nutritionist in food producing units and the regulation of the production of processed foods, can help to develop healthy menus, where whole grains, fruits and vegetables are i ncluded, using the full utilization of food, modes of preparation with less fat as cooked, baked and grilled preparations, reduction in the amount of added salt and the use of processed foods.

Abstract:
Objective: Little epidemiological evidence exists on rumination disorder behavior (RB) and pica behavior (PB). We examined prevalence of RB and PB and presence of comorbid feeding/eating disorder symptoms among school-aged children. Methods: In elementary schools in Switzerland, 1,430 children (54.0% female) ages seven to 13 completed Eating Disorder Examination-Questionnaire for children (ChEDE-Q) and Eating Disturbances in Youth Questionnaire (EDY-Q). Results: EDY-Q data behavior frequency showed 9.7% reported RB only, 10.0% reported PB only, and 3.1% reported RB+PB (≥1 on 0-6 Likert scale). At a clinical cut-off score of ≥4 (at least “often true”), 1.7% had RB only, 3.8% had PB only, and 1.1% had RB+PB. Avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder symptoms were most common in those with RB+PB, and more common in those with RB or PB than those without. Degree of eating disorder symptoms (by ChEDE-Q) over the past 28 days were similar among those with RB, PB, or RB+PB, but less common in those without RB or PB. Discussion: RB and PB were commonly reported in our sample of school-aged children, even at a potential clinically significant cut-off. Our findings also suggest that degree of eating disorder symptom comorbidity is similar between those with RB and PB.

Abstract:
Undernutrition is a major public health problem, contributing to 33% of deaths in infants and young children globally. In Kygryzstan, Central Asia, Mercy Corps provided 6 metric tons of rice, flour and oil as well as nutrition education to kindergartens in 40 rural regions, serving 41,000 children, for one year. Anthropometric measurements were collected at the beginning and end of the program (10 months later). Children, who were stunted, wasted and underweight at baseline, recovered by follow-up, with rates of recovery of 50%, 65% and 50%, respectively. The prevalence of stunting, wasting and underweight in the population decreased from 13.8%, 3.4% and 3.2%, respectively, to 8.6%, 2.1% and 2.3%, respectively. These results are particularly significant as the dearth of research on pre-school feeding’s impact on growth and nutrition has led to this particular intervention being deemed ineffective for improvement of nutritional outcome.

Abstract:
Objectives: Breast-feeding rates in rural and southeastern regions of the United States are lower than national rates and Healthy People 2020 targets. The objectives of this study were to understand current breast-feeding knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs among rural southern Appalachian adolescents and to explore whether a high school educational intervention designed to address the five tenets (knowledge, attitudes, intentions, perceived behavioral control, and subjective norms) of the theory of planned behavior may be effective in increasing future rates of breast-feeding in this population. Methods: An educational session including an interactive game was developed and administered to occupational health science students during a single class period in two county high schools. A presurvey and a postsurvey administered 2 weeks after the intervention were completed by students. Pre- and postsurveys were analyzed using paired ttests and Cohen d and potential differences based on sex and grade were explored. Results: Both pre- and postsurveys were completed by 107 students (78%). Knowledge, attitudes about breast-feeding benefits, subjective norms, and intentions significantly improved following the intervention. Baseline knowledge and attitudes about breast-feeding benefits for mothers were low and demonstrated the greatest improvement. Conclusions: Offering breast-feeding education based on the theory of planned behavior in a single high school class session was effective in improving student knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs about breast-feeding and intention to breast-feed.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Background: In East Java, the prevalence of 36% of toddlers did not finish standard supplementary feeding biscuits. Some contributed factors were disfavor of children (66.6%), forgotten to feed (3.9%), incompatible (0.5%), eaten by another family member (23.4%), and others (5.6%). This study aimed to determine the difference in acceptability and level of preference between modified and standard supplementary feeding in undernourished toddlers at Janti Community Health Center, Malang, East Java. Subjects and Method: A quasi-experimental study with one group pretest-posttest design was conducted at Janti Community Health Center, Malang, East Java, in July 2019. A sample of 16 under-five malnourished children aged 12-59 months was selected by purposive sampling. The dependent variables were acceptability and the level of preference of under-five malnourished children. The level of preference was categorized into taste, texture, color, and aroma. The independent variables were standard (biscuit) and modified (chocolate ball and chocolate pudding) supplementary feedings. The data were collected by questionnaires. The data were analyzed by Kruskal Wallis. Results: The highest level of acceptance obtained in chocolate ball, followed by chocolate pudding and standard biscuit, and it was not statistically significant (p= 0.112). The highest preference for taste was chocolate ball, followed by standard biscuit and chocolate pudding, and it was statistically significant (p= 0.022). The highest preference for texture was chocolate ball, followed by chocolate pudding and standard biscuit, and it was statistically significant (p= 0.025). The highest preference for color was chocolate ball, followed by chocolate pudding and standard biscuit, and it was statistically significant (p= 0.022). The highest preference for aroma was standard biscuit, followed by chocolate pudding and chocolate ball, and it was not statistically significant (p= 0.190). Conclusion: There are no significant differences in the level of acceptance between standard (biscuits) and modified (chocolate ball and pudding) supplementary feedings among undernourished toddlers. The highest preference for taste and texture is in chocolate ball feeding. The highest preference for color is in standard biscuit feeding. Abstract:
A point cloud of reference points forms the programmable basis of a new method of urban and architectural modeling. Points in space from the smallest identifiable units that are informed to communicate with each other to form complex data structures. The data are visualized as spatial voxels [3d pixels] as to represent spaces and volumes that maintain their mutual relationships under varying circumstances. The subsequent steps in the development from point cloud to the multimodal urban strategy are driven by variable local and global parameters. Step by step new and more detailed actors are introduced in the serious design game. Values feeding the voxel units may be fixed, variables based on experience, or randomly generated. The target value may be fixed or kept open. Using lines or curves and groups of points from the original large along the X, Y and Z-axes organized crystalline set of points are selected to form the shape of actual working space. The concept of radical multimodality at the level of the smallest grain requires that at each stage in the design game individual units are addressed as to adopt a unique function during a unique amount of time. Each unit may be a home, a workplace, a workshop, a shop, a lounge area, a school, a garden or just an empty voxel anytime and anywhere in the selected working space. The concept of multimodality [MANIC, K Oosterhuis, 2018] is taken to its extreme as to stimulate the development of diversity over time and in its spatial arrangement. The programmable framework for urban multimodality acknowledges the rise and shine of the new international citizen, who travels the world, lives nowhere and everywhere, inhabits places and spaces for ultrashort, shorter or longer periods of time, lives her/his life as a new nomad [New Babylon, Constant Nieuwenhuys, 1958]. The new nomad lives on her/his own or in groups of like-minded people, effectuated by setting preferences and choices being made via the ubiquitous multimodality app, which organizes the unfolding of her / his life. In the serious design game nomadic life is facilitated by real time activation of a complex set of programmable monads. Playing and further developing the design journey was executed in 4 workshop sessions with different professional stakeholders, architects, engineers, entrepreneurs and project developers.
