SMK Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung is an educational institution located on Jl. Morotai Island Jl. Morotai Island No. 33, Jagabaya III, Sukarame, Bandar Lampung City, Lampung 35122, Indonesia. SMK Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung has expertise programs, namely Dressing, Catering, Information and Communication Technology, Animation and Business and Management. As for the SPP payment system at SMK Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung it is still done manually, where the Administrative Officer still uses a book to record SPP payment data. This causes SPP data storage is still in the form of archives, where data storage media like this are easy to damage or lose, and archives that accumulate make the performance of school staff not good. From this problem, the idea emerged to create a desktop-based application and an sms gateway, in which it can manage payment transaction data and provide information to parents related to tuition transactions. The methodology used in making this application is the Waterfall method. The programming language used is Java Neatbeans, the database uses MySQL and Gammu as a tool to connect the SMS Gateway. Supported by the existence of a computer at the institution. Abstract:
The sustainable school is important in today’s education system to ensure the well-being of younger generations. This research work attempted to empirically test the different predictions of a sustainable school environment for secondary school students’ engagement in learning. The following objectives were formulated: to analyse the differences of sustainable school environment and engagement in learning based on gender and SES background; to analyse the relationship between sustainable school environment variables and engagement in learning; and to examine how sustainable school environment variables could predict students’ emotional and behavioural engagement. The research sample consisted of students from three districts of Lithuania with a disadvantaged SES context. We assessed the sustainable school environment variables and students’ emotional and behavioural engagement in learning with the What Is Happening in this Class? (WIHIC) questionnaire, a short form of the Learning Climate Questionnaire (LCQ), and the Student Engagement Scale. The results showed a statistically significant difference in behavioural engagement between boys and girls. There are no differences in sustainable school environment variables and engagement in relation to SES. Teachers’ autonomy supportive behaviour perceived by students has the strongest correlation with emotional and behavioural engagement in learning. Thus, in the Lithuanian schools surveyed, a sustainable school environment is developing.

Abstract:
The purpose of this quasi-experimental study was to investigate the efficacy of an 8-week yoga-based physical exercise program to improve mental and emotional well-being and consequently reduce burnout among teachers. We considered yoga because it is a discipline that enhances body awareness and encourages the contact with nature and the respect for every form of life, with a view to a more sustainable and greener global system. We recruited 40 professional educators (40–47 years), teachers in a public high school who reported perceiving signs of stress and emotional discomfort. We randomly assigned the 40 professional educators to either an experimental yoga practice (~60 min, twice a week) group (n = 20) or a control group (n = 20) that received a nonspecific training program (~60 min, twice a week). At baseline and after training we administered the Maslach Burnout Inventory: Educators Survey (MBI-ES) and the State Mindfulness Scale (SMS) to assess teachers’ perceived level of awareness and professional burnout. We found a significant Time × Group interaction for the MBI-ES and SMS, reflecting a meaningful experimental group improvement (p < 0.001). No significant pre–post changes were found in the control group. The results suggest that an 8-week yoga practice could aid teachers to achieve a greater body and emotional awareness and prevent professional burnout.

Interventions are trying to improve the sector; however, a lack of coordination and value co-creation between macro and micro-level stakeholders strongly impedes the achievement of long-term benefits. Therefore, community participation is needed to achieve a multi-stakeholder partnership (MSP) and community-based knowledge management (KM) for a successful intervention. The purpose of this study is to identify secondary school students as KM tools to facilitate knowledge management activities. The action research was conducted using community people in two major cities in Bangladesh. Based on the findings, students can act as KM tools who can facilitate coordination and value co-creation process. A conceptual framework has been proposed to understand the MSP and KM concepts where the integrated strategy of those two concepts not only develops a sustainable solution for the SFS system but also can be applied to many other public health issues in developing countries.

Abstract:
The implementation of credit system is not something new in Indonesian education system, especially for higher education, but its implementation in senior high school is something new and challenging, because it focuses on the holistic learning service of each student. This research aims to describe the implementation of credit system in senior high school in Salatiga as a sample of the study and its problem faced by the management of the school. By conducting qualitative approach, it can be concluded that the implementation of credit system in public senior high school 1 Salatiga is working very well according to its compliance with the policy and manual from the Ministry of Education and Culture. But there are several obstacle come from the teachers and students who do not really comprehend yet the basic concept of the credit system policy, for instance most of the student want to graduate on the same time in which it is contradict with the orientation of the credit system to facilitate each student to learn and graduate according to their own learning pace.

Abstract:
Abstract Distributed Leadership (DL) is a feature of education in many jurisdictions. Similarly, in Ireland the principles of DL have been adopted as part of a quality framework to underpin a system that provides high quality student care, learning and teaching. This model necessitates an alignment of senior leaders (SLs) and middle leaders (MLs) whose actions are informed by the needs and priorities of their particular school. The traditional notion of the ML position as a management position is changing. The evolution requires a reconceptualisation, a transformation of the role and how we support and develop it to ensure that MLs are an integral part of the leadership structure of the school. This pragmatic research explored the PD needs of MLs in Irish, Education and Training Board (ETB) post-primary schools. It involved a mixed-methods, exploratory sequential study. Stage one involved a set of five semi structured interviews with AP I post holders. These were used as an instrument to develop the online surveys. Stage two involved quantitative research. Online surveys were distributed to all ETB schools in the republic of Ireland. In stage three a summary of the findings of the survey were shared with ten AP Is who were subsequently interviewed to gain further insights. The study illustrated that the development of MLs requires the support of SLs, skills development, a supportive school culture and combined training for senior and middle leaders which should be facilitated by an independent person.

Abstract:
This study investigates the use of written dialect among adolescents from four different locations in Norway, each representing one of the main dialect areas of the country (north, central, west, and east). The data are drawn from the larger study Multilectal Practices in Social Media where a total of 1532 students from 42 different upper secondary schools in all regions of Norway have completed an online questionnaire about their language competence, use and attitudes and where they have also provided short text samples of how they would have written in four imagined situations: (i) a cinema invitation to a friend, (ii) a social media post about the family’s new pet, (iii) a message to the teacher informing him/her about absence due to illness, and (iv) a bio in a discussion forum. In our data we see that the cinema invitations contain a high degree of local/regional dialect features as well as other deviations from standard orthographical conventions whereas the messages to the teacher by and large are written in one of the two Norwegian written standards. Choice of platform also seems to influence the choice of features: messages to the teacher by SMS or Snapchat typically contain more dialect and other deviations from standard orthography than messages sent through the official learning management system of the school. For each of the four locations we evaluate the dialect writing against known features of the local/regional dialect, and we see that not all dialect features make their way into the students’ dialect writing, a fact which we take to reflect changes in progress. In conclusion, we see that the students are very flexible and adaptive in their choice of features and codes in different situations and for different purposes.

Abstract:
This research study assessed the effects of research-based learning (RBL) on the metacognitive awareness of senior high school (SHS) students, specifically metacognitive knowledge and metacognitive regulation, and the correlation between their subcomponents. Fifty-six (56) Grade 12 students who have taken research subjects were obtained as respondents using purposive sampling. The respondents answered a 52-item metacognitive awareness inventory (MAI) with 17 items on metacognitive knowledge and 35 items on metacognitive regulation. Findings show that RBL developed a high level of conditional, procedural, and declarative knowledge among SHS students. The learning approach also developed a very high level of debugging strategies, and a high level of planning, information management system, evaluation, and comprehension monitoring. Furthermore, there is a weak or a moderately significant positive correlation between some subcomponents of metacognitive knowledge and metacognitive regulation as the effect of RBL. In conclusion, RBL has a considerable impact on the metacognitive awareness subcomponents of Grade 12 students.Corresponding author:Mark Anthony Catedral MamonDOI: 10.24071/ijiet.2020.040210

The alumni of Vocational Schools (VS) have contributed to the increasing number of unemployment recently. At the onset, the main objective of vocational education is to produce ready to work alumni. However, the more the schools produce alumni, the higher the number of jobless people in this country. To tackle the issue, the government launch revitalization programs for VS’s across Indonesia. The implementation of the program is intended to cut down the number of unemployment and poverty. To explore the implementation of the program within a vocational context, this study was undertaken to look at the understanding of VS principals about the revitalization programs as well as the ten core strategies of the program. Besides, the study was also conducted to explore the problems faced the principals and their expectations of the revitalization program. A qualitative phenomenology study using in-depth interviews were conducted to garner the data from nine school principals of private and public VS’s in South Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. The findings indicate that the improvement of the competency of certified teachers is essential. Furthermore, the availability of business and industrial based (DUDI) facilities and learning resources, as well as the availability of professional development training through a link and match programs, are also important. On the other hand, the establishment of Management Information System (SIM) based on School Automation System (SAS), industry-based curriculum, teaching factory, tutorial video, local wisdom, and the role of VS as the triggers of the local economy needs more socialization by the government.

Abstract:
ObjectiveThe purpose of this study is to expose the prevalence of mild traumatic brain injuries among high school football players and to explore the possibility of implementing eye tracking performance as an objective way to assess cases of potential concussion.BackgroundConcussions are one of the most common forms of traumatic brain injury (TBI). Unfortunately, current research suggests that mild TBIs cannot always be accurately diagnosed via routine neurologic examination. Also, most evaluations, such as ImPACT, are survey-style assessments that are time intensive and subjective. Lack of an objective method to rapidly assess concussions on the field raises concern for second-impact syndrome (SIS), which can lead to permanent brain damage or even fatality.Design/MethodsThis multi-part study included a population of 849 high school athletes in from Lubbock, TX. Student athletes filled out a baseline concussion survey, then assessed their eye tracking performance with the EyeGuide Focus, a 10-second test that involves visually tracking a continuous, figure-8 shape. A vector-based system was used to measure the eye-tracking deviation.ResultsForty-two athletes were recorded with a baseline eye-tracking score, and a subsequent eye-tracking score that was labelled as a suspected concussion by a physician. Of those 42, 17 had a follow-up eye-tracking test 2 weeks later. Test scores labelled with suspected concussion had a significantly higher mean raw score than the baseline score. Higher scores indicate greater vector deviation from accurately tracing the figure-8 with the eyes.ConclusionsThe survey results show underdiagnosing of concussions at lower levels of youth sports, which may indicate a lack of resources. As the data shows marked changes between the concussed, baseline, and follow-up scores, eye-tracking promises to be a quick and efficient tool to assess sports-related concussions.

Abstract:
The incursion of COVID-19 to various states has set forth the challenge for the educational institutions to transition to the New Normal teaching and learning scheme. In the scarce of the studies driven by the perception of Senior High School (SHS) teachers on its ways and challenges using learning management system (LMS), this qualitative study was conducted. Specifically, the study aimed to explore the strategies and methods of teachers using LMS in (a) facilitating and (b) assessing learning; and (c) to determine the perceived dilemmas of teachers in online learning in the New Normal. Respondents were purposively chosen and underwent semi-structured in-depth interviews by dint of video conferencing. Data were transcribed, coded, and thematically analyzed. Results revealed three themes on facilitating learning such as maximizing LMS features, employing adaptive tools, and utilizing class structures: and two themes on assessing learning, namely item-based and output-based assessments. Four emerging themes on SHS teachers’ perceived challenges were lumped as “EASE”: Establishing connection; Access to online learning demands; Stable wellness amidst the pandemic; and Ensuring quality learning experience. Findings revealed that despite this unprecedented transition, the use of LMS does not necessarily equate to an optimum edge in an online teaching and learning environment. Nevertheless, this paper describes how educators embody the commitment to quality education by concretizing adaptive and responsive measures to the demand of the New Normal setup.

Abstract:
This study presents the use of web SMS technology as an alternative method for primary school notification system. By integrating the system with SMS gateway, it will enable the primary school notification system to send information to parents’ mobile phone directly. The traditional methods of notifying parents about the school matters by sending letter and written memo are time consuming and the updated information may not reach the parents. This integration allows information to be disseminated from computer to mobile phone at any time without requiring face to face meeting or the use of other media such as paper-based notice or verbal notice from the students. Furthermore, parents can always be alert and aware of the latest announcement or information no matter where they are. A usability testing was conducted to 20 users to survey the feedback on SMS technology to notify parents. The results from the testing stated that 100% of users give positive feedback about the ease of use and satisfied that the system can replace old systems. Based on the results, it shows that the integration of primary school notification system with SMS technology is highly recommended.

Abstract:
Abstract Background With the support and advocacy of the state, China's higher vocational education has actively tried and tried out the modern apprenticeship model. However, due to the late start of theoretical research, weak foundation and lack of practical experience, the development effect of modern apprenticeship is not ideal. For individual majors in higher vocational colleges, such as transportation, there is less applied research on educational psychology. Therefore, in the context of emotion regulation, it is very important to study the application of modern apprenticeship in Higher Vocational transportation specialty. Subjects and Methods In view of this, this paper selects higher vocational colleges, enterprises and students for online questionnaire survey from the perspective of educational psychology. The research objects include 25 National Demonstration Higher Vocational Colleges and provincial demonstration transportation higher vocational colleges; 22 enterprises are engaged in bridge and tunnel, road maintenance, traffic operation management, intelligent transportation and other industries, and have experience in school enterprise cooperation; 58 modern apprenticeship graduates. With the theme of “modern apprenticeship transportation talent training in Higher Vocational Colleges”, the questionnaire is designed around the hot issues in the development of modern apprenticeship, such as school enterprise cooperation, teaching staff, student management, employment welfare and so on. Better investigate the emotional changes of apprentices under the professional background. The study also used the auxiliary scale related to emotion, self rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), which was compiled by Zung in 1971. From the form of scale construction to the specific evaluation method, it is very similar to the self rating Depression Scale (SDS). It is also a self-evaluation scale with 20 items and four grades, which is used to evaluate the subjective feelings of the visitors. SAS is a very simple clinical tool for analyzing patients' subjective symptoms. 36 patients with neurosis were assessed by SAS and examined by HAMA scale. The correlation coefficient of Pearson correlation method and Spearman grade correlation coefficient of the total scores of the two tables were 0.36 and 0.341 respectively. The results showed that the validity of SAS was quite high. Foreign studies believe that SAS can accurately reflect the subjective feelings of psychiatric patients with anxiety tendency. Anxiety is a common emotional disorder in psychological counseling clinics. In recent years, SAS has been used as a self-assessment tool to understand anxiety symptoms in counseling clinics. Before the self-assessment, ask the self assessor to understand the filling method of the whole scale and the meaning of each question, and then make an independent self-assessment that is not affected by anyone. Before starting the assessment, the staff pointed to the SAS scale and told him: there are 20 words below. Please read each one carefully to understand the meaning, and then tick (√) in the appropriate box according to your actual situation in the last week. There are four squares after each text. Respectively represents no or little (occurrence), a small part of time, a considerable amount of time, most or all of the time. If the assessor's education level is too low to understand or understand the SAS problem content, the staff can read it to him, read it item by item, and let the assessor make the assessment independently. One assessment can generally be completed within ten minutes. Results Through the analysis of the survey results, it can be seen that higher vocational colleges and teachers have a high enthusiasm to participate in the implementation of modern apprenticeship, the training mode of modern apprenticeship is basically formed, and the training objectives are clear. Developing modern apprenticeship system can improve students' comprehensive professional quality and is of great help to students' employment and future development. Modern apprenticeship system can also meet the needs of talent training and bring certain benefits to enterprises. However, in the process of implementation, there are still some urgent problems to be solved, such as the lack of guarantee of teaching management and operation mechanism, the signing of contracts between enterprises and students, the weak professional foundation of students, weak work and so on. Environment, etc. In view of the above problems, this paper puts forward some implementation strategies. For example, introduce “double qualified” teachers and pay attention to the cultivation of practical skills. Clarify the employment prospects of students and analyze the current employment situation. Formulate scientific apprentice assessment standards and flexible assessment mechanism. Attract government funds and strengthen school enterprise cooperation. Through the test of the anxiety level of students with employment prospects, the average total score of SAS is 42.98 ± 9.94. Among them, the score was 40.52 ± 6.62, and the score of 48 anxious students was 45.68 ± 11.23. The result of f-value test was not significant, P > 0.05. It shows that SAS can not distinguish the severity and particularity of anxiety, and other self-rated anxiety scales must be applied at the same time. For other norm research results, the average value of 15 single scores of positive evaluation questions is 1.29 ± 0.98; The average score of the five reverse items is 2.08 ± 1.71, and the average value of the total score of 20 items is 29.78 ± 0.46, which can be used as the upper limit of the average value of the total score of the norm. Students with high employment prospects have a downward trend in anxiety level. Conclusions This paper studies the application of modern apprenticeship in Higher Vocational transportation specialty from the perspective of educational psychology. The results show that the implementation of modern apprenticeship talent training mode in China has promoted the reform of education and teaching and the transformation and upgrading of transportation, and can effectively promote the development of education. Abstract. With a growing volume of traffic, the aviation industry is moving to fully embrace a predictive approach to safety management, which requires the implementation of safety management system (SMS) training on an international scale. An online survey was distributed through an International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) State Letter to solicit perceptions of SMS training from a variety of international aviation professionals. The survey collected 1,103 complete responses. The results identified robust differences in how SMS training is perceived by men and women and by professionals from different geographic regions. Female respondents had more negative attitudes toward training than did males. Regarding regional differences, Middle Eastern participants had the most positive attitudes while Europeans reported the most negative attitudes toward SMS training. The data suggest caution is warranted before global distribution of SMS training and illustrate the importance of a learner analysis, as individual differences among learners may impact the effectiveness and adoption of SMSs.

Recent efforts to reform the SMS have been initiated by the Florida legislature. However, the author argues that insufficient attention has been paid to the possible relationship between the SMS's deficiencies and the decentralized administrative context within which it must operate. The author recommends the development of bridging mechanisms between Florida's central personnel agency and the executive agencies if system-wide objectives are to be achieved.

Abstract:
Abstract The article aims to support the Safety Management System’s implementation in the Visegrad Four (V4) countries by introducing supporting documentation at the national level or national legislation. The research subjects are the V4 countries (Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia), where 39 air carriers operate. Safety management in today’s world is already necessary, yet introducing a Safety Management System (SMS) is voluntary in many areas, including some transport modes. In air transport, it is mandatory, and the general principles and guidelines of this system are set out in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which has issued several regulations and recommendations. The lists of ICAO standards and essential translations can be considered a minimum, which is also approached by different authorities. The article points out the primary differences in SMS in individual V4 countries and presents which country provides the strongest support in implementing this system.

Abstract: To ensure the proper operation and efficient operation of the vehicle, regular vehicle service is necessary to monitor various parts of the vehicle. This paper “Smart Vehicle Service Management System using IoT” is being proposed to detect some problems in vehicle and also it provides a platform to book online service to the vehicles. It sends an alert message in form of SMS to the user if any problem is detected and suggests that servicing to vehicle is now required. The system is integrated with different sensors like FSR, adxl, DHT11, level etc to detect problem in vehicle and being displayed in LCD, so if any problem is detected the buzzer will give alert sound indicating the vehicle has a problem. Along this a Node MCU and GSM module is being placed to get live updates in cloud and also in a form of SMS and the same data is stored data in cloud. The alert message received in form of SMS is redirected to the SVSMS website which will allow the user to book online service. The proposed system helps the user to detect the problems in prior and act precisely so that efficiency of the vehicle is maintained and cost/ inconvenience could be avoided.

Abstract:
Along with the development of communication technology, and information system, more and more also made the attendance system, and academic information. The development of a more modern absentee system with respect to the honesty side needs to be built as a substitute for manual absence using paper. Attendance system is at once can be a new standard on attendance system in Education environment. The choice of fingerprint attendance system based on communication technology in the form of SMS is because it is more practical, cheap, and efficient to convey information. Parents do not have to bother anymore come to school just to know the presence or absence of his son / daughter. In the implementation of this application, in the early stages of the user must register their identity by using the application program absenteeism built with PHP programming language, to further stored the absence data into the database My SQL which has integrated SMS Gateway through the SMS sending software that is Gammu. In addition with SMS Gateway technology, parents will be easier to obtain information on the presence of his son / daughter. From the student side, it is hoped that it will foster discipline attitude in time because indirectly this application will grow the mental attitude on time to the students, and it is expected that this application can fix any deficiencies in attendance application that has been implemented earlier.

Abstract:
This research aims to detect the effect of using exercises and ball games in physical education on the stat- ic balance of students with musculoskeletal disorders. The research involved 40 secondary school students aged 16-19, who were divided into two groups. Students have disabilities with mild and average forms of illness. The level of static balance was determined by the indicators of a modified Romberg test, which was carried out at the beginning and the end of the training lesson. The research was carried out for 18 months. It was established that the indicators of students of two groups, both at the beginning and at the end of the physical education lesson, improved. At the beginning of the lesson, a reliable change is traced only in the group of students with congenital defects of the musculoskeletal system (p<0.05); at the end of the lesson, balance indicators significantly improved in both groups (p<0.05). It was found that the developed system of exercises and ball games in which it was necessary to keep a set initial position, not due to different actions with the ball, is an effective means of improving balance. Exercising and playing with the ball reliably (at the level of significance α=0.05) increases the chance of students to improve static balance indicators, which can improve the quality of motor actions in everyday life. The inclusion of specially selected exercises and ball games in physical education classes for students with musculoskeletal defects related to the success of meeting the requirements of Romberg’s test is statistically confirmed.

Abstract:
Patients with advanced cancer can experience illness trajectories similar to other progressive chronic disease conditions where undertaking self-management (SM) and provision of self-management support (SMS) becomes important. The main objectives of this study were to map the literature of SM strategies and SMS needs of patients with advanced cancer and to describe SMS interventions tested in this patient population. A scoping review of all literature published between 2002 and 2016 was conducted. A total of 11 094 articles were generated for screening from MEDLINE, Embase, PsychINFO, CINAHL and Cochrane Library databases. A final 55 articles were extracted for inclusion in the review. Included studies identified a wide variety of SM behaviours used by patients with advanced cancer including controlling and coping with the physical components of the disease and facilitating emotional and psychosocial adjustments to a life-limiting illness. Studies also described a wide range of SMS needs, SMS interventions and their effectiveness in this patient population. Findings suggest that SMS interventions addressing SMS needs should be based on a sound understanding of the core skills required for effective SM and theoretical and conceptual frameworks. Future research should examine how a patient-oriented SMS approach can be incorporated into existing models of care delivery and the effects of SMS on quality of life and health system utilisation in this population.
