Abstract:
The presented materials concentrate mainly on the pathogenetic mechanism of scleral reinforcement surgical procedures in progressive myopia. There are three main pathogenetic links which are considered: the mechanical strengthening of the sclera, the revascularization and reinforcement or increasing of the hemodynamic parameters in the membranes or layers of the eye, as well as the bio-stimulating effect of the transplanted graft. The possibility of regulation of reparative processes was assessed to improve the efficiency of surgical treatment of progressive myopia. Key words: scleroplasty, pr

Abstract:
This paper reviews published data on the studies on keratoconus associated with dry eye disease (DED) presentations. Despite the lack of a direct correlation between DED and keratoconus, many studies have demonstrated that keratoconus is associated with DED in more than 80% of cases. The author describes major endogenous and exogenous (inflammatory, immune/allergic, mechanical, neuropathic) factors triggering the development and association of these conditions. Approaches to the medical treatment of disorders resulting from the association of these entities are discussed. The primary managemen

Abstract:
The inflammatory-reparative reactions of sclera after different injury were studied. In animals of the 1st group carried out conjunctivotomy and surgical diathermy. In animals of the 2nd group carried out conjunctivotomy. Biomicroscopy, histologic and morphometrical studies were carried out. The results demonstrate surgical diathermy of sclera leads to intensification of local inflammatory reaction and is a risk factor of excessive regeneration in glaucoma filtration surgery.

Abstract:
Method of surgical treatment for progressive myopia in children was developed that allowed changing of the direction of tensile stress in equatorial area of myopic eyes sclera. The developed surgical technique for progressive myopia treatment is highly efficient and technologically easy, the material convenient for implantation is available and complications are practically completely absent. Favourable influence of mechanical induction artificially created by distraction of the sclera and stimulating reparative regeneration maintains the level of compensatory-adaptive processes in the sclera

Background: The biomechanical properties of ocular tissues are critical to physiological processes that span ocular development, aging, and disease. The structural integrity of these tissues is important in mediating how the eye responds to strain and stress that pose challenges to physiological homeostasis. In the posterior segment, the peripapillary sclera and lamina separate the intraocular chamber and the fluid-filled subarachnoid space. Degradation of each contribute to pathogenic progression in multiple conditions and are largely determined by the integrity and architecture of collagen f

Abstract:
Currently, a helium-neon laser is widely used in the treatment of degenerative, inflammatory and vascular diseases of the eye. It was found that the interaction of this radiation with different tissues, as a result of complex photochemical processes, is manifested by anti-inflammatory, desensitizing, resolving effects. Also, there is a stimulating effect on the processes of reparation and trophism. However, these observations relate to the use of laser for external irradiation, when the light goes through the air and the sclera or through the cornea. Research of the effect of endo-laser direct
