G-protein–coupled receptors (GPCRs) are pivotal in cellular responses to the environment and are common drug targets. Identification of selective small molecules acting on single GPCRs is complicated by the shared machinery coupling signal transduction to physiology. A collection of 88 kinase and phosphatase inhibitors was screened against seven agonist-induced GPCR internalization cell models as well as transferrin uptake in hu

Several constructions of electromagnetic actuators with moving permanent magnet for Braille screen are studied. The finite element method is used for modeling of the magnetic field and for obtaining the electromagnetic force acting on the mover. The static force-stroke characteristics are obtained for four different constructions of the actuator. The constructions with ferromagnetic disc between the coils ensure greater force than the ones without disc and can reach the required minimum force.

The role of the stone metaphor and the disappearance of its inscriptions invite us to re-examine memory in Beckett's later texts. Acting as a veritable screen, the stone, a metaphor of the old woman, is implicated in her erasure. This erasure of the figure of the old woman can be paired with the projection of all new desires onto the emptiness of the screen, that is to say onto the memory of the subject.
