Abstract:
Palavras-chave: narratologia; arquivo; ficção marítima Abstract:The literary historians are excavating a great range of forgotten literary forms, which posits the important question on how to apprehend their specificity. Abstract:
Maritime or (Nautical literature) was ruling the period during the 18th century which was followed by 19th-century writers. These novels depict the effects on the environment, society and economy of the people. In this study, it is observed that the concept approach towards the Interdisciplinary theory with connection to the people’s thoughts regarding the sea, their religious or holistic approaches, and the gender description given to describe the sea were correlated with some famous nautical novel with notable incidents or theories to prove that the attributes of plots might be different but the themes relating to such sea novels/aquatic novels are more or less similar to each other and they serve some standard settings and motifs on the whole. The study reveals that maritime novels where written in distinctive plots but the themes are more or less focused on masculinity (gender roles) and heroism, social hierarchies and the psychological and holistic transformation during their hard existence in the sea. Ethical approach, the symbolism of sea and the gender roles are used in this regard of research dealing with interdisciplinary theory.

Abstract:
To chart accurately the contours of the novel, literary historians are in the process of recovering the variety and complexity of its generic practice across its history. "Narratology in the Archive" surveys this recovery and discusses its methodology, differentiating this recovery from symptomatic reading. The article then illustrates this method with the recovery of sea adventure fiction as an influential transnational practice of the novel from Defoe to Conrad. I suggest that sea adventure plots are defined by readers' playful manipulation of information to solve problems posed by the text.

Abstract:
This review examines social science and practitioner literature regarding the relationship between ocean sciences big data projects and ocean governance. I contend that three overarching approaches to the study of the development of ocean sciences big data techne (the arts of data creation, management, and sharing) and data technologies can be discerned. The first approach traces histories of ocean sciences data technologies, highlighting the significant role of governments in their development. The second approach is comprised of an oceanic contribution to the study of ontological politics. The third takes a human-social centered approach, examining the networks of people and practices responsible for creating and maintaining ocean sciences big data infrastructure. The three approaches make possible a comparative reflection on the entangled ethical strands at work in the literature.

Abstract:
If Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) is to develop into an effective decision support instrument globally, then it should not just rely only on the input provided by a selected group of countries. In this context, the understanding of how to apply SEA effectively in different planning systems is unlikely to improve if the knowledge about those systems is limited. This paper establishes what appears to make SEA effective in two countries with different planning systems: Italy and the UK. Italy is chosen as an example, representing a specific Southern-European planning culture, which to date has not contributed to the SEA literature to any great extent. Based on empirical observations, it is suggested that the SEA effectiveness elements portrayed in the international literature are not fully valid. The UK is chosen as an example, which represents a specific Northern-European planning culture. Countries representing this planning culture have contributed heavily to the international SEA literature and have influenced the development of SEA theory strongly. In this context, the SEA effectiveness elements and benefits portrayed in the international literature appear to be valid. As part of a PhD research project, this paper builds on the findings of a content analysis of the international SEA literature (Fischer and Gazzola, 2006).

Abstract:
Climate change has attracted public awareness in recent years, which, in turn, has created potential opportunities and concerns for business. This paper examines the manner in which empirical studies on social and environmental accounting (SEA) disclosures have contributed to the existing knowledge. It combines theoretical and practical approaches to SEA to provide researchers with creative and holistic access to the knowledge. The study finds the literature on SEA to be far-reaching, flourishing, and employing exciting and diverse statistical methodologies to measure relevant disclosures. It goes on to analyze the theories, motivations, prior literature, and methodologies employed in international SEA literature. The present study contributes to the crafting of a systematic overview of the literature on SEA and opens up potential avenues for research in this discipline by combining current trends in theoretical and practical approaches to SEA research.
