Abstract:
ABSTRACTThis article will analyze the concepts of memory, mnemonic, palimpsest and hypertext. Sebastien Marot (2003), professor of the École d’Architecture de la Ville & des Territoires - Marne-la-Vallée (France), explains that these four reflexes are a new way of facing a design program in architecture, which prioritizes the site. These same concepts –memory, mnemonics, palimpsest and hypertext– are related to preservation, either in an urban or architectural context. The goal of this paper is to give examples (mostly in Panama City) of their use in this discipline, and relate these reflexes or characteristics to a method for the development of a conservation project. These examples will explain how memory and mnemonics preserve the spirit of place, how a palimpsest represents the history of the transformations of a territory, city or building, and how a hypertext can help organize a preservation project. Keywords.-Memory, mnemonics, palimpsest.

Abstract:

Abstract:
In addition to borrowing from his own works, Gautier le Leu appears to be indebted to numerous other narratives for elements in his fabliaux. Le fol Vilain probably elaborates on some antecedent of La Sorisete des Estopes, and La Damoisele qui ne pooit oïr parler de foutre furnishes a conceit that reappears in Le sot Chevalier, Connebert, and Les deus Vilains. Although Gautier claims, in the opening lines of Connebert, to have written Le Prestre teint, the extant version of that fabliau is not by him, so his possible indebtness to Le Prestre et le Chevalier of Milles d’Amiens is speculative. Finally, the line of descent from the Alda of Guillaume de Blois through the Trubert of Douin to the anonymous L’Esquiriel connects not at all with Gautier, and only marginally with La Damoisele qui ne pooit oïr parler de foutre.

Abstract:
Mexico's sugar mills face an uncertain future: the closure of San Sebastián may well presage others if the climate for sugar production on national and international levels does not improve. While the continued squeezing of small cane producers reflects processes affecting peasant agriculture generally in Mexico, and indeed beyond, the fate of the mill workers made redundant when the mill closed similarly mirrors broad tendencies in labor in both the developed and developing world under neoliberalism. Former workers fell back upon personal, family, and community resources by migrating to the U.S. or locally reconstructing livelihoods characterized by a reduction in income, security, and access to social benefits. This article reports on the impact of the mill closure on the livelihoods of former mill worker families in the community of San Sebastián and offers some observations on their responses to the situation.

Abstract:
Abstract Food and drink play many different roles in the art of the fabliaux, ranging from more or less brief depictions of everyday hospitality to significant contributions to plot and especially to trickery. This article focuses primarily on Le Prestre et Alison, comparing its techniques with those of some other fabliaux. The language of food functions on several levels in this fabliau: it is a means of characterisation, a sign of status and power, and a narrative motif whereby power relations are first established and then subverted. Roast goose in particular, along with fish, capons and spices, provides echoes and associations both within and beyond the text, and forms a focus for the shifting relations as a powerful man is outwitted by women who trade in foodstuffs. As the analysis proceeds it becomes evident that this fabliau has been undervalued.

Abstract:
Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine this February, a global community of volunteers has endeavored to help preserve Ukraine’s online cultural heritage. While this community comprises over 1300 volunteers, many of them work as librarians or in cultural preservation, including two of the leaders of this group, Quinn Dombrowski and Anna Kijas. Dombrowski and Kijas, along with Sebastian Majstorovic, have been instrumental in coordinating this community of experts across time zones together and also spearheading what the Washington Post described as “a lifeline for cultural officials in Ukraine.” To capture both their experiences, as well as how librarianship has informed SUCHO, we convened a roundtable with the organizers, as well as two of the most active volunteers Dena Strong and Erica Peaslee, who also work in GLAM.

Abstract:
Arterial hypertension (AH) is a disease that affects children and adolescents and its identification, helps to prevent the premature development of cardiovascular diseases. The objective of this study was to verify the presence of blood pressure (BP) above normal and to relate it to obesity and lifestyle of scholars in the cities of Bauru, Ibitinga, Jaú and São Sebastião. A total of 369 children and adolescents were evaluated. Information on health and physical exercise were obtained through anamnesis. After 5 minutes of rest, hemodynamic and anthropometric assessments were performed on each participant. Odds rate was used to assess the risk of above-normal blood pressure in overweight and inactive children. Pearson’s correlation was used to correlate anthropometric and hemodynamic variables. Among those evaluated, 28% had altered BP values and 29% were already overweight and obese. In addition, 89% of students were classified as insufficiently active. Among overweight scholars, 48% had altered BP and, among obese, BP was altered in 65%. Overweight children and adolescents had 3.59 times more risk to have altered BP. It can be concluded that the results are extremely relevant to reinforce the inclusion of different strategies in schools for the control of obesity and sedentary lifestyle, in order to avoid early cases of hypertension and cardiovascular diseases.

Abstract:
The research is concerned with types of love faced by Tara Dupont, the main character of the novel Autumn in Paris, written by Ilana Tan. The types of love: friendship, infatuated love, romantic love and consummate love are the main focus of the study. The objective is to find out how Tara Dupont implements the types of love in relationship with people around her. One of the theories used in the research is Robert Sternberg’s Triangular Theory of Love which states that love has three components: intimacy, passion and commitment and these three components are to be applied to obtain or run real love. Qualitative descriptive method is applied for the whole analysis. The finding shows that types of love are found in the novel Autumn in Paris. Friendship appears in a relationship between Tara, Sebastien and Tatsuya. Romantic love and infatuated love are the dominant types of love and consummate love is the rarest.

Abstract:
The objective is to study the agroclimatic elements of Sebastião Leal and Uruçuí do Piauí between 1962-2018 in order to provide information and support to regional agriculture and its entrepreneurs. Rainfall data for the years 1963-2018 were provided by the Superintendence for the Development of the Northeast and the Rural Extension Company of Piauí. Estima – T, the other work data were interpolated from neighboring stations, generated the thermal data. With the climate changes that have been occurring worldwide, regionally and locally, it is worth building wind barriers in order to preserve the planted cultivars. With an increase in temperature of 1 °C and 4 °C and with a reduction in precipitation of 10% 20%, producers should work with super early seeds those are resistant to severe droughts. The low cloud cover between October and April, and with its thermal oscillation over normality, comes to register low fires and burnings, which cause low values of insolation. In the months of January, the highest rates of insolation are registered, and these are linked to the region's meso and low-scale phenomena. The importance of insolation regionalization for the purposes of agricultural studies and energy generation is recognized. The municipalities Sebastião Leal and Uruçuí have available water, thermal indexes, humidity and insolation are the parameters that agriculture needs for its development. The meteorological elements studied can be applied or have resources of use for various types of grain that have been used in the study area. The temporal oscillations of long series, as worked on in this article, contributed to the recommendations of the places suitable for the seeding and grain planting system, warning about their respective preparation and planting periods and about possible climatic discontinuities.
