Abstract:
O experimento avaliou o desempenho de frangos de corte suplementados em 4% na ração com três fontes de gordura: óleo ácido de soja (OAS4) e sebo bovino (SEBO4), óleo de soja (SOJA4) e misturas de 2% entre estas: (OAS2/SEBO2), (OAS2/SOJA2) e (SOJA2/SEBO2). Foram utilizados blocos casualizados, com 6 tratamentos, 6 repetições e 40 aves por parcela. Foram avaliadas as variáveis: consumo de ração (CR), ganho de peso (GP), peso vivo (PV), conversão alimentar (CA), fator de produção (FP) e viabilidade (VB), aos 42 dias de idade. Para análise, foram utilizados contrastes não ortogonais: 1- SOJA4 X (OAS4 + SEBO4 + OAS2/SEBO2); 2- SOJA4 X (OAS2/SOJA2 + SOJA2/SEBO2); 3- OAS2/SOJA2 X SOJA2/SEBO2; 4- OAS4 X OAS2/SOJA2; 5- OAS4 X OAS2/SEBO2. No contraste 1, observou-se um menor CR, melhor CA, superior GP, PV e FP para SOJA4 em relação a média OAS4, SEBO4 e OAS2/SEBO2. A comparação do SOJA4 com (OAS2/SOJA2 + SOJA2/SEBO2) do contraste 2 não foi significativa. O contraste 3 não indicou diferença entre OAS2/SOJA2 e SOJA2/SEBO2, exceto para VB. No contraste 4, OAS2/SOJA2 resultou em maior GP, PV e FP e melhor CA que OAS4. A mistura (OAS2/SEBO2) não foi vantajosa ao OAS4 para as variáveis (contraste 5). A gordura abdominal não foi afetada pelos tratamentos, somente a composição dos ácidos graxos das gorduras. O óleo de soja proporcionou melhor desempenho das aves, tanto em misturas 1:1 quanto como fonte única adicionada à ração. O óleo ácido de soja, o sebo e a mistura destes resultaram em depressão do desempenho das aves.

Abstract:
The analysis and characterization of hydroclimatic variability over a long period of time is fundamental for understanding the impacts of climate change and vulnerability of hydrological regimes. The present work is a study of the spatial and temporal variability of the climatic and hydrological series in the Sebou river basin (Morocco) over the past sixty years using Hanning low-pass filter of second order and statistical tests of stationarity of climate and hydrological time series. These statistic testing methods were applied to analyze the spatial and temporal evolution to the hydroclimatologic data of the AzibEsSoltane, M'jara and MechraBelKsiri hydrometric stations, which are, respectively, located in the Middle Sebou, the Ouerrha Tributary of the Sebou and the Low Sebou. This analysis shows that climate variability has resulted particularly in strong interannual fluctuations in rainfall reflected by a succession of dry and wet periods between 1939 and 1979 and a general decrease in precipitation since 1980. The Water flow time series analysis are marked by ruptures detected mainly between 1972 and 1978 reflecting rainoff declines of about 50% in the Sebou downstream and 70% in the middle Sebou. Several decreases in water discharge (up to 90%) were also detected in the Ouerrhariver since 1996, when the Al Wahda dam started operating.The analysis of the relationships between rainfall and water discharge shows that the impacts of dams constructions are stronger than the climatic effect in the Ouerrha river. The results of this study are important indicators for the assessment of combined climate risks.

Temperature is regarded as one of the most important variables for aquatic life, as well as a key physical criterion of water quality, due to its role in a variety of chemical, physical, and biological processes. We chose the HEC-RAS tool to model the thermal regime of the Sebou-Kenitra river estuary because it is impossible to determine the spatiotemporal evolution of temperature in watercourses using traditional methods such as single measurements or interpolation due to the influence of several factors, including hydraulic, tidal rhythm, upstream contributions, and intrusion. The main goal of this research is to develop and test the “HEC-RAS” model with the aim of better understanding thermal dynamics and predicting the spatiotemporal variation of the Sebou river estuary temperature, using the energy transport equation and a variety of input data such as initial temperature, air temperature, wind speed, and dispersion coefficient. The HEC-RAS model, which takes into account many meteorological and geophysical elements and provides an overview of the thermal situation at our study site “the Sebou river estuary,” has also been acknowledged for its deterministic role. We illustrated the impact of meteorological and tidal data on spatiotemporal temperature change at numerous places in the Sebou river estuary by using this model.

Abstract:
The discharge of large quantities of industrial and domestic effluents into the estuaries, with or without treatment, has led to an increase in the amount of micropollutants present in the sediments. In this study, we have assessed the quality of sediments of Sebou river studying the physicochemical parameters, percentage of organic matter, mineralogy, and trace levels of metal elements trapped in the sample sediments of Sebou river. The sediments samples were collected from the upstream of Fez river, confluence between the Fez river and the Sebou river, Ain Nokbi river, and edge of Sebou river, where wastewaters from the city of Fez are discharged. The sediments samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, while trace levels of metallic elements, Calcium, Zinc, Copper, Cadmium, Iron, and Nickel, were determined by the ICP-AES analysis. The obtained results show that there is a significant change in the values of the studied metals which is probably due to industrial effluents. Indeed, the metal content in the sediments reaches particularly high values exceeding the limit recommended by WHO. These results suggested that the pollution by metallic industrial effluents discharged without treatments poses potential threat to the receiving rivers and may represent a danger for humans which are exposed to pollutants due to the numerous uses of such river waters.

Abstract:
The city of Kenitra, located in the extreme downstream of the Sebou basin, is threatened by floods caused by the overflowing of the Oued Sebou and the rise of Oued Fouarat. The hydraulic modeling study of the Sebou Fouarat system in transient mode is carried out by the HEC-RAS software and has implicated the two rivers. Two geometric models were constructed on the basis of a digital terrain model (DTM) using the Arc-GIS and HECGeoRAS softwares after processing the collected topographic data. The first model, of which the areas of Merja Fouarat and Al Assam have been represented by cross-section, is one-dimensional. The second one is also onedimensional in which the two areas of Merja Fouarat and Al Assam are introduced as water storage zones. The components of these models are the stream sections, lateral links, storage areas and junctions between the branches of each model. The flood hydrographs of the Sebou and Fouarat rivers are introduced as conditions at the upstream limits of the models while the tidal is introduced as a downstream condition. After the stability and calibration of the models, the results of the consulted hydraulic simulations are the variations of the water levels as well as the temporal variations of the flow rates for each section, the maximum flow velocities and the propagation times of the flood waves. The analysis and comparisons of these results strongly suggest using the second model for the treatment of the flood issues as a decision-making tool helping to manage floods during times of crisis.

The estuary ecosystem’s health and ecological integrity are essential for preserving environmental quality, habitats, and economic activity. The main objective of the present study is to comprehend the wave hydrodynamic impact on the Oued Sebou estuary, which is situated in the Kenitra region on Morocco’s north Atlantic coast in North Africa. Specifically, it focused on the dredging effect (caused by sand extraction) on the wave motion and its impact on the estuary environment. Different scenarios of wave-propagation simulations were carried out, varying the significant wave height, in deep water (from 1.5 to 4 m), and considering the bathymetry before and after two dredging cases of 2- and 4-m depths. The change of wave height at the Oued Sebou estuary shoreline was simulated by using the third version of the Simulating Waves Nearshore Model (SWAN). The SWAN model formulates the wave evolution in terms of a spectral energy balance on a structured grid. The effect of dredging on the wave spreading in addition to the flow hydrodynamic structures were extensively analyzed. According to the simulated results, the dredging activities in the Oued Sebou estuary mainly affect the river mouth and the southern breakwater area, increasing the potential erosive action. The areas at the northern coastal strip and near the northern breakwater are subject to possible accumulation of sediments.

Abstract:
The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficiency of methylene blue removal using Oued Sebou sediments as an adsorbent. The presence of carboxyl functional group demonstrated by infrared (IR) analysis of the sediment favorized the methylene blue (MB) adsorption. Sediment collected from Oued Sebou could remove the most MB molecules at pH 8. The Freundlich model described suitably the adsorption process. The experimental measured enthalpy (ΔH) and entropy (ΔS°) are 118.1 kJ mol−1 and 395.2 J mol−1 K−1, respectively, indicating that the reaction was endothermic with an increase of randomness at the solid/liquid interface during the adsorption. The kinetics of MB adsorption by sediment were adequately fitted to the pseudo-second-order model. Experimental results showed that the adsorption capacity of the methylene blue dye depends on the solution pH, the initial dye concentration, the adsorbent mass, the sediment particle diameter, and the temperature of the reaction medium. The removal efficiency of the MB molecules reaches 100% after 60 minutes under the optimum conditions.

Abstract. The longitudinal variation of salinity and the maximum salinity intrusion length in an alluvial estuary are important environmental concerns for policy makers and managers since they influence water quality, water utilization and agricultural development in estuarine environments and the potential use of water resources in general. The supermoon total lunar eclipse is a rare event. According to NASA, they have only occurred 5 times in the 1900s – in 1910, 1928, 1946, 1964 and 1982. After the 28 September 2015 total lunar eclipse, a Super Blood Moon eclipse will not recur before 8 October 2033. In this paper, for the first time, the impact of the combination of a supermoon and a total lunar eclipse on the salinity intrusion along an estuary is studied. The 28 September 2015 supermoon total lunar eclipse is the focus of this study and the Sebou river estuary (Morocco) is used as an application area. The Sebou estuary is an area with high agricultural potential, is becoming one of the most important industrial zones in Morocco and it is experiencing a salt intrusion problem. Hydrodynamic equations for tidal wave propagation coupled with the Savenije theory and a numerical salinity transport model (HEC-RAS software "Hydrologic Engineering Center River Analysis System") are applied to study the impact of the supermoon total lunar eclipse on the salinity intrusion. Intensive salinity measurements during this extreme event were recorded along the Sebou estuary. Measurements showed a modification of the shape of axial salinity profiles and a notable water elevation rise, compared with normal situations. The two optimization parameters (Van der Burgh's and dispersion coefficients) of the analytical model are estimated based on the Levenberg–Marquardt's algorithm (i.e., solving nonlinear least-squares problems). The salinity transport model was calibrated and validated using field data. The results show that the two models described very well the salt intrusion during the supermoon total lunar eclipse day. A good fit between computed salinity and measurements is obtained, as verified by statistical performance tests. These two models can give a rapid assessment of salinity distribution and consequently help to ensure the safety of the water supply, even during such infrequent astronomical phenomenon.

Abstract:
This paper explores the temporal and spatial patterns of annual, seasonal, and monthly rainfall series during the period of 1961–2018 at 15 stations in the agriculturally important Sebou river basin, northern Morocco. Trends were investigated using the classical non-parametric Mann–Kendall test and the Theil–Sen approach at 90%, 95% and 99% confidence levels. A general decreasing trend was found at the annual scale, significant at the 95% confidence level at 8 stations out of 15 (53%). A particularly large decreasing trend between −30 mm and −50 mm per decade was found in the north and eastern parts of the basin. Autumn rainfall tended to increase, but this was not statistically significant. During the winter months, rainfall tended to decrease sharply (−27 mm and −40 mm per decade) in the northern slopes of the Rif mountains, while in spring, the mountainous area of the basin recorded decreases ranging between −12 mm and −16 mm per decade. During winter and spring, negative trends were significant at ten stations (66%). Summer rainfall tends toward a decrease, but the absolute change is small. These results help to understand the rainfall variability in the Sebou river basin and allow for improved mitigation strategies and water resource plans based on a prospective view of the impact of climate change on the river basin.

Abstract Future projection shows that the availability of freshwater per capita will decrease to 560 m3/year by 2030 in Morocco. In this realm of adopting efficient irrigation, alternatives become a priority to overcome water shortage. The presented study aims to investigate theoretically the likelihood of improving irrigation efficiency at the plot level of the Middle Sebou and Innaouene downstream perimeter using 75% of the total irrigation water requirement (IWR), based on the successful results obtained by the Moroccan National Institute for Agronomic Research. The methodology consists of the extraction of monthly evaporation data from MODIS16A2 and process it under Google Earth Engine (GEE); data that are used in the second part of the study, which aims to assess the efficiency of deficit irrigation on a plot of 2,500 olive tree, using three main indexes; olive three height (cm), Stomatal conductance (mmol H2O m−2 s−1), and olive tree growth (cm). The results show that 0.75 of full irrigation could save 17% of the total water used, reducing the water irrigation supply by an average of 5 Mm3, with a slight decreasing of the olive production, estimated as 0.5 t/ha. Furthermore, water use efficiency and water productivity have been enhanced under deficit irrigation by respectively 0.25 kg/m3 and 0.54 Dh/m3. In economic terms, the result shows that with deficit irrigation, the decision-maker, or the farmer, could save about 5 million m3 per year, which is a boost to the global economy if the method is transposed and applied to other Moroccan regions and also a support for the new agricultural strategy called Generation Green.

Případová studie představuje subjektivní teorie řídící jednání učitelky humanitních předmětů ve škole s obtížnými podmínkami. Navazuje na předchozí publikace autora, které šíře vymezily výzkumný koncept, cíle a metodologii. Studie představuje základní analytické přístupy ke zpracování dat sebraných v přirozeném prostředí realizace výuky: (a) rekonstruování subjektivních teorií učitelky, (b) ověření jejich adekvátnosti porovnáním s reálnou výukou, (c) sémantické porovnání subjektivních teorií řídících jednání učitelky s informacemi o jejím profesním rozvoji, (d) analýza a diskuse kongruence zjištění v kontextu pedagogické vědy; a otevírá tak možnosti pro další analýzy a syntetické zpracování sebraných dat, které svým rozsahem již překračují rámec a možnosti této studie. Případová studie naznačuje, že sledovaná učitelka sdílí některé charakteristiky s učiteli experty (Píšová et al., 2013). Ukázala se též vysoká míra konzistence jejího myšlení a jednání, stejně jako vysoká míra zvažování a uvažování o vlastním jednání v širším kontextu jejího profesního rozvoje (Hargreaves & Fullan, 2012). V závěru studie jsou shrnuty poznatky a formulována doporučení pro další výzkum subjektivních teorií učitelky v kontextu jejího profesního rozvoje.

Abstract In this work, we considered the concentrations of natural and anthropogenic radionuclides (namely the 40K, 210Pb, 226Ra, 137Cs, 234Th, 228Th and 228Ra) in sediments from Moroccan coast areas by considering estuaries (Sebou and Loukkos) and marine ecosystems (M’diq Bay and three Lagoons: Moulay Bousselham, Sidi Moussa and Oualidia). Sediment samples were analyzed using Gamma spectrometry. The objective was to establish radioactivity levels in Moroccan coastal areas as well as radiological risk assessment by using the ERICA tool. The software allows the estimation of dose rates to biota (a set of reference organisms by default). The highest activity concentrations were found in sediment samples of Sidi Moussa Lagoon, possibly due to the anthropogenic activities, while the lowest levels were reported in Sebou estuary, attributed most probably to a flooding event that occurred in the same year of sampling. Also, 210Pb and 40K have the most significant concentrations, while 137Cs has the lowest concentrations with a great resemblance with similar works. The World Wide Average concentration of 226Ra was exceeded in the three lagoons and that of 40K only exceeded at Sidi Moussa Lagoon. The application of ERICA tool allowed the assessment of total dose rates that are mainly due to internal exposure with strong contribution of 226Ra mainly for phytoplankton in the case of marine ecosystems and insect larvae, mollusc-bivalve, mollusc-gastropod and zooplankton for estuary ecosystems. The total dose rates were far lesser than the admissible dose rate proposed by ERICA tool (10 μGy h−1) and, therefore, unlikely to cause harmful effects to organisms.

The genus Ifrania Glöer, Mabrouki et Taybi 2020 (Hydrobiidae) was recently described from Morocco; its type species is Ifrania zerroukansis Glöer, Mabrouki et Taybi, 2020 found in the Middle Atlas massif, geographically isolated and known for its other endemic molluscs. Ifrania bahhouensis sp. n. is a new valvatiform hydrobiid gastropod from Morocco; it can be distinguished from I. zerroukansis by the morphology of the shell and anatomical criteria. The new species was found in the northern part of Morocco, in the Sebou River basin. The aim of this paper is to describe the new springsnail species.

The functioning and sustainability of lotic ecosystems depend to a large extent on their thermal and hydrological regimes. In the Mediterranean region, these factors are very sensitive to climate and anthropization which have undergone deep changes over the last four decades. Having noted the drying up of many permanent streams in Morocco, we conducted in 2015-2017 a new study with the aim of analyzing and assessing abiotic changes in the Upper Sebou (Middle Atlas, Morocco). A former study was carried out in 1981-1985. Indeed, over the last four decades, this river has been exposed to multiple disturbances, due to both recurrent droughts and human pressures. To describe and assess these changes, we used 16 abiotic variables that were measured in 11 ecosystems along the central course of the river. The comparison was mainly carried out using the multiple factorial correspondence analysis (MFCA), through a ternary matrix “variables × stations × time”, gathering old and new data in the same mesological structure. The analysis revealed the classical upstream-downstream ordering of the studied ecosystems, where most of the ecosystems recorded a downstream migration from their 1981 position. In this evolutionary perspective, the study involves hydrological and thermal factors, which show mainly a reduction in flow and a slight increase in temperature and water mineralization, both in summer and winter. It is assumed that water withdrawals, especially for irrigation, together with climatic droughts in the region, are responsible for these long-term evolutionary trends.

Pour cela presqu'une centaine de phases de tarissement a été individualisé pour construire des courbes maîtresses de tarissement à partir desquelles le calcul des volumes des nappes est possible. Il est calculé mensuellement à partir du débit modal dont nous posons l'hypothèse qu'il représente la limite entre ruissellement et alimentation uniquement par les nappes. Les calculs donnent un volume de la réserve régulatrice moyen de 54 hm3, mais extrêmement variable à l'échelle interannuelle et intra-annuelle. Ces résultats démontrent la faible inertie des aquifères du Moyen Atlas et soulignent la vulnérabilité du secteur agricole vis-à-vis de cette ressource même lors de courte période de sécheresse. The estimate of the groundwater resource in the Middle Atlas is investigated from the runoff measured in the Sebou wadi at the Azzaba station, over the period 1959–2015. Almost a hundred recession curves have been individualized to build the master recession curves from which the calculation of the volumes of groundwater is possible. It was calculated at a monthly scale from the modal flow, which we assume is the limit between runoff and flow supply only by the aquifers. The results indicated a volume of the average regulatory reserve of 54 hm3, but extremely variable on an inter-annual and intra-annual scale. These results demonstrate the low inertia of the Middle Atlas aquifers and underline the vulnerability of the agricultural sector to this resource even during short periods of drought.

Text srovnává situaci v USA se situací v zemích EU, stejně jako odlišné tradice vyrovnávání se s problémem role náboženství ve veřejném životě a přizpůsobování se náboženským "jiným" v západní Evropě a v USA. Zatímco v západní Evropě můžeme být svědky rostoucích obtíží ve vztazích mezi islámem a převažujícím evropským sekulárním diskurzem, je situace v USA mnohem lepší. Tento fakt lze vysvětlit stukturou amerického denominacionalismu, který je lépe připravený na začlenění nových náboženství do amerického občanského náboženství, přestože ani zde není daný proces jednoduchý.

The National Office for Drinking Water [ONEP], responsible for the drinking-water supply in Morocco, faces serious difficulties in producing water of good quality at a reasonable price from the River Sebou waters. The ONEP’s three water treatment plants have been disrupted or even stopped due to the poor quality of waters received. The main source of pollution is the urban and industrial waste of the town of Fes, compounded by episodic pollution caused by the olive oil mills of Fes and its surrounding area. The ONEP study shows that the additional production costs incurred as a result of the pollution by wastewater from olive oil mills far exceeds the drinking-water rates charged in the study area.

The watershed of the Beht River occupies the southwest part of the Sebou watershed with an area of 4,603.77 km2. It starts in the Causse of Middle Atlas, drains the northern edge of central Morocco and ends in the rifan south wrinkles at the level of dam El Kansera. The geographical information system (GIS) and ASTER images with a resolution of 30m have been of great use for creating thematic maps and automatic extraction of a multitude of parameters and physiographic indices of this watershed. These parameters, very characteristic, allow to assess the weight of the geomorphology on surface water flow and the influence of the latter by the risk of erosion and of flooding which have a very negative consequences on human and material plan, at the level of the studied watershed.

Polskie tłumaczenie skróconej wersji artykułu w tekście. Svět zvířat je vždy nahlížen z lidské perspektivy, oba světy jsou proto vzájemně propojené a neoddělitelné. Příspěvek si klade za cíl sledovat různé projevy antropocentrismu v češtině. Zaměřuje se zejména na výrazy, které lidský a zvířecí prostor propojují a označují skutečnosti, jež mají své ekvivalenty na obou stranách. V češtině často existují dvě série jednotek označujících stejnou skutečnost – pro člověka a pro zvíře. Odlišná slova použijeme např. pro označení částí těla člověka a částí těla zvířete (hlava, ústa X rypák, tlama, zobák), pro různé činnosti (jíst X žrát), zvuky (mluvit X skřehotat, mečet, kdákat) atd. Použijeme-li navíc primárně „zvířecí” výrazy ve vztahu k lidem, přinášejí s sebou výrazně negativní hodnocení. Text je založen především na analýze českého slovníkového materiálu, uváděny jsou také příklady z folklorních textů.

Estimating the initial values of the hydrological model´’ ’s parameters is a laborious and determining task requiring much attention. Geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial remote sensing are prometting tools for processing and collecting data. In this work, we use an innovative approach to estimate the HEC-HMS hydrological model parameters from the soil map of Africa (250m), the land use map GLC30, the depth to bedrock map, the digital elevation model and observed flow data. The estimation approach is applied to the Ouergha basin (Sebou, Morocco). The proposed approach’s interest is to feed the HEC-HMS hydrological model with initial values of parameters close to the study area reality instead of using random parameters.

Text v diskursu filosofie výchovy hledá možná propojení informálního vzdělávání v rámci putovního kurzu Prázdninové školy Lipnice Život je gotickej pes a potenciálního rozvoje spirituálního rozměru lidského způsobu bytí. První část výkladu pojednává o oboru zážitková pedagogika a expedičním kurzu jako příkladu zvoleného diskursu. Druhá část se zaměřuje na spirituální rozměr lidského prožívání a jeho odlišení od témat náboženských. Třetí část konkretizuje spirituální prožitky v rámci popisovaného kurzu a předkládá nový model spirituálního (nenáboženského) putování. Struktura projektů realizovaných metodami zážitkové pedagogiky nabízí potenciál pro uchopení možností, jež s sebou nese nenábožensky pojatá spiritualita. Mezi fenomény strukturující tento rozměr prožívání patří duch, cesta, transcendence, transformace a smysl. Příspěvek tak upozorňuje, že zážitková pedagogika má ve své hloubce velmi blízko ke spiritualitě v její nenáboženské dimenzi a tím i k akcentaci autentického modu existence.
