<p>De dövas kamp för en egen kultur har formats till att de har teckenspråket som sitt första språk och svenska skriftspråket som sitt andra språk. Idag har många döva och hörselskadade Cochleaimplantat (CI) i tidig ålder. Det har varit hårt debatterat under en period. Syftet i föreliggande studie var att undersöka attityden hos döva/gravt hörselskadade ungdomars inställning till Cochleaimplantat. 21 ungdomar mellan 14-18 år har besvarat en enkät och fem intervjuer har genomförts, tre med döva ungdomar utan CI (varav en hade haft CI tidigare) och två intervjuer med ungdomar med CI.</p><p> </p>
