Lobelia macrocentron (Campanulaceae) was rediscovered when conducting floristic sampling for the Flora inventory of Santuario El Palmito, a natural protected area in the municipality of Concordia, Sinaloa, Mexico. Near-surface triaxial strain/stress states in polycrystalline solids are required for a full tensorial treatment including all elements of the strain/stress tensor. A possible depth dependency of the strain/stress is at best observed by grazing incidence diffraction in Seemann–Bohlin geometry (SBG). A new and more `generalized' grazing-incidence-angle X-ray diffraction (G-GIXD) method which enables simultaneous measurements both of in- and out-of-plane diffraction images from surface and interface structures has been developed.
