Les composants mémoires sont omniprésents en électronique : ils sont utilisés pour stocker des données, et sont présents dans tous les champs d’application - industriel, automobile, aérospatial, grand public et télécommunications, entre autres. Les technologies mémoires ont connu une évolution constante depuis la création de la première mémoire vive statique (Static Random-Access Memory, SRAM) à la fin des années 60. Les besoins toujours plus importants en termes de performance, de capacité et d’économie d’énergie poussent à une miniaturisation constante de ces composants : les mémoires modernes contiennent des circuits dont certaines dimensions sont de l’ordre du nanomètre.L’un des inconvénients de cette miniaturisation fut un accroissement de la sensibilité de ces composants aux radiations. Depuis la détection des premiers effets singuliers (Single-Event Effects, SEE) dans un satellite à la fin des années 70, et la reproduction du phénomène en laboratoire, les fabricants de composants mémoires et les ingénieurs en électronique se sont intéressés au durcissement aux radiations. Au début, les besoins en stockage pour des applications civiles et militaires – comme le développement d’accélérateurs de particules, de réacteurs nucléaires et d’engins spatiaux – créa un marché pour les composants durcis aux radiations. Ce marché s’est considérablement réduit avec la fin de la Guerre Froide et la perte d’intérêt des gouvernements, et après quelques années, les ingénieurs durent se tourner vers des composants commerciaux (Commercial Off-The-Shelf Components, COTS).Les composants COTS n’étant pas conçus pour résister aux radiations, chaque composant doit être évalué avant d’être utilisé dans des systèmes dont la fiabilité est critique. Ce processus d’évaluation est appelé Radiation Hardness Assurance (RHA). Les tests aux radiations des composants commerciaux sont devenus une pratique standardisée (en particulier dans l’industrie aérospatiale). Ces composants sont irradiés à l’aide d’accélérateurs de particules et de sources radioactives, afin d’évaluer leur sensibilité, de prédire leur taux d’erreur dans un environnement radiatif donné, et ainsi de déterminer leur adéquation pour une mission donnée.Cette étude porte sur le test de composants mémoires aux effets singuliers. Les objectifs, difficultés et limitations des tests aux radiations sont présentés, et des méthodes d’analyse de données sont proposées ; l’identification et l’étude des modes de défaillance sont utilisées pour approfondir les connaissances sur les composants testés. Cette étude est basée sur de nombreuses campagnes de test aux radiations, étalées sur une période de quatre ans, pendant lesquelles des mémoires de différentes technologies – mémoires vives statique (SRAM), ferroélectrique (FRAM), magnétorésistive (MRAM) et mémoire flash – furent irradiées avec des faisceaux de muons, neutrons, protons et ions lourds. Les données générées ont également servi au développement d’un CubeSat développé conjointement par le LIRMM et le Centre Spatial Universitaire de Montpellier, MTCube, dont la mission est l’irradiation de ces mêmes composants en milieu spatial. Les concepts sous-jacents liés aux radiations, aux environnements radiatifs, à l’architecture des composants mémoires et aux tests aux radiations sont introduits dans les premiers chapitres, et les avancées scientifiques de cette étude sont présentées dans le dernier chapitreElectronic memories are ubiquitous components in electronic systems: they are used to store data, and can be found in all manner of industrial, automotive, aerospace, telecommunication and entertainment systems. Memory technology has seen a constant evolution since the first practical dynamic Random-Access Memories (dynamic RAMs) were created in the late 60's. The demand for ever-increasing performance and capacity and decrease in power consumption was met thanks to a steady miniaturization of the component features: modern memory devices include elements barely a few tens of atomic layers thick and a few hundred of atomic layers wide.The side effect of this constant device miniaturization was an increase in the sensitivity of devices to radiation. Since the first radiation-induced single-event effects (SEEs) were identified in satellites in the late 70’s and particle-induced memory upsets were replicated in laboratory tests, radiation hardness has been a concern for computer memory manufacturers and for systems designers as well. In the early days, the need for data storage in radiation-rich environments, e.g. nuclear facilities, particle accelerators and space, primarily for military use, created a market for radiation-hardened memory components, capable of withstanding the effects of radiation. This market dwindled with the end of the Cold War and the loss of government interest, and in a matter of years, the shortage of available radiation-hard components led system designers to turn to so-called Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components.Since COTS devices are not designed with radiation hardness in mind, each COTS component must be assessed before it can be included in a system where reliability is important – a process known as Radiation Hardness Assurance (RHA). This has led to the emergence of radiation testing as a standard practice in the industry (and in the space industry in particular). Irradiation tests with particle accelerators and radioactive sources are performed to estimate a component’s radiation-induced failure rate in a given radiation environment, and thus its suitability for a given mission.The present work focuses on SEE testing of memory components. It presents the requirements, difficulties and shortcomings of radiation testing, and proposes methods for radiation test data processing; the detection and study of failure modes is used to gain insight on the tested components. This study is based on data obtained over four years on several irradiation campaigns, where memory devices of different technologies (static RAMs, ferroelectric RAM, magnetoresistive RAM, and flash) were irradiated with proton, heavy-ion, neutron and muon beams. The yielded data also supported the development of MTCube, a CubeSat picosatellite developed jointly by the Centre Spatial Universitaire (CSU) and LIRMM in Montpellier, whose mission is to carry out in-flight testing on the same memory devices. The underlying concepts regarding radiation, radiation environments, radiation-matter interactions, memory component architecture and radiation testing will be introduced in the first chapters, while the academic advances which were made during this study are presented in the final chapter

Dans le but de permettre au lecteur de se faire sa propre opinion, nous avons souhaité présenter et traduire l’oeuvre de Joseph Albo. Traduire l’ensemble du Sefer Ha-ʻIqqarim dépassant le cadre de notre projet, nous nous sommes contentés de traduire le premier traité qui présente la conception de Joseph Albo sur les principes fondamentaux et sa réduction à trois principes fondamentaux qui sont la croyance à l’existence de Dieu, la croyance à une révélation divine, et la croyance à la rétribution. Les trois traités suivant ne constituant qu’un approfondissement du premier, nous avons traduit un chapitre supplémentaire pour voir et comprendre comment Joseph Albo développe et approfondit le thème déjà ouvert dans le premier traité. Translating the whole of the Sefer Ha-ʻIqqarim exceeding the framework of our project, we simply translate the first treaty which presents the conception of Joseph Albo on fundamentals and its reduction to three fundamental principles which are the belief in the existence of God, the belief in a divine revelation, and the belief in retribution. The three following treaties being only a deepening of the first, we have translated an additional chapter to see and understand how Joseph Albo develops the theme already opened in the first treaty. The focus of this thesis is a critical edition and an annotated English translation of Sefer Hakhmoni, one of the earliest commentaries on Sefer Yetzirah (The Book of Formation). The author, Shabbatai ben Abraham Donnolo, lived in Byzantine Southern Italy in the 10th century. He produced works on diverse topics ranging from medicine and pharmacology (Sefer ha-mirqahot, Antidotarium, Practica) to the study of the celestial bodies (Sefer ha-mazzalot and Barayta de-mazzalot), but he owes his greatest fame to Sefer Hakhmoni, his opus magnus wherein, by commenting on Sefer Yetzirah, he tried to reconcile the professional expertise he had acquired in the milieu of Byzantine Southern Italy with his Jewish background. The thesis is divided into four parts. The first part consists of seven chapters outlining the historical and cultural context of Donnolo's life in medieval Italy. The second part is a study of the manuscript tradition of Sefer Hakhmoni, followed by the critical edition of the Hebrew text and the annotated English translation. The first chapter offers a general overview of the presence of Jews in medieval southern Italy. The Jewish community of Apulia originated in the captive Judean population deported by Titus from Palestine to Italy after the fall of Jerusalem in 70 C.E. It was during the Byzantine period, however, that this Jewish community came to flourish, with the establishment of Talmudic schools and academies and the rebirth of the Hebrew language as a literary medium. This is evidenced by the funerary inscriptions of the Jewish catacombs of Apulia where, from the 8th century on, Latin and Greek were gradually being replaced by Hebrew, and by the emergence, from the 10th century, of Hebrew literature including the works of Donnolo, Sefer Yosippon and Sefer Yuhasin (Megillat Ahima‘atz). The second and third chapters present a detailed analysis of Donnolo’s life and literary production. He was born in Oria, from where he was deported, probably to Taranto, by Arab raiders in 925. According to his own account in the introductory section of Sefer Hakhmoni, he learned Greek, Latin and the local vernacular, all of which he used extensively in his works. He spent most of his life in Rossano Calabro, one of the most important Byzantine cities, where he was on good terms with the Christian ecclesiastical and political establishments. The fourth chapter is devoted to the study of Donnolo’s scientific and exegetical Jewish and non-Jewish sources. The fifth, sixth and seventh chapters of the first part attempt to explain why Donnolo set Sefer Hakhmoni, his major work, as a commentary on Sefer Yetzirah – an anonymous work of uncertain provenance which, prior to the appearance of the first 10th century commentaries by Sa‘adiah Gaon, Dunash ibn Tamim and Donnolo himself, was virtually unknown in the Hebrew literary tradition. By commenting on Sefer Yetzirah’s cosmological and metaphysical statements, Donnolo was able to display his own scientific knowledge, underpinned by Neo-Platonic principle whereby the microcosm reflects the structure and model of operation of the macrocosm. The second part of the thesis provides a detailed analysis of the thirty-two extant manuscripts of Sefer Hakhmoni and the relationships between them, concluding with a graphic outline of the stemma codicum. This is followed by the critical edition of the Hebrew text and the annotated English translation. The fourth part consists of the bibliography and of an appendix concerning the study of astrological chart contained in the introductory section Donnolo’s text.

Le travail vise à reconstruire l’interprétation de la Cabbale fourni par Paolo Ricci (m. 1541), en ce qui concerne la réception du Sefer Sha‘are Orah (Livre des portes de lumière [ShOr]) de Yosef Giqaṭilla (XIII siècle). Après une introduction générale et une présentation du status quaestionis, la première partie de la thèse se focalise surtout sur le milieu culturel du ShOr, sur son auteur et sur ses possibles sources. La deuxième partie offre une reconstruction de la vie intellectuelle du traducteur du ShOr, Paolo Ricci, en accordant une attention particulière aux relations (historiques et / ou culturelles) avec certains humanistes de l'époque. Un intérêt particulier est réservé au rôle de Pic de la Mirandole et de Johannes Reuchlin, ainsi qu’à la rencontre avec Ellenbog, à l’affrontement avec Johannes Eck, et aux épitres de Pirckheimer. On ce concentre donc sur la possible influence de sources du judaïsme médiéval (en particulier, du ShOr) dans l’élaboration du programme de réforme religieuse d’Agrippa de Nettesheim. Le chapitre sur la «systématisation» de la Cabbale fournie par Ricci vise à fournir une explication possible pour le choix de traduire précisément ShOr. After a general introduction and a presentation of the status quaestionis, the first part of the thesis focuses on the cultural milieu of ShOr, on his author and his possible sources. The second part pays particular attention to the intellectual life of Paolo Ricci, mainly to his relations with important humanists of his period. The work then focuses on the possible influence, among other sources, played by the Latin version by Ricci of ShOr on the development of the reformation of magic proposed by Agrippa from Nettesheim. The chapter on Ricci’s theorization of the Kabbalah aims to explore some aspects of his exegetical method and seeks to give a possible explanation for the choice of its translation. L'etude porte sur l'erosion des sols dans le bassin versant du sefid-rud (flanc sud du massif de l'elbourz), region semi-aride et contimentale. Des sols peu evolues occupent les hautes cretes. Les plateaux portent des sols isohumiques ou chatains plus evolues. Les sols sales sont localises sur les marnes. Les principales formes d'erosion sont dues au ruissellement diffus, au ravinement et aux mouvements de terrain. Elles se distribuent en fonction de l'etagement bioclimatique et surtourt des lithofacies. Les paysages de badlands caracterisent surtout les marnes gypseuses neogenes. La sedimentation dans la retenue de sefid-rud avoisine 56 millions de tonnes par an, soit une erosion moyenne annuelle de 10 tonnes hectare an. D'apres nos estimations, dans les zonnes de badlands de sarcham, l'erosion est plus elevee : entre 100 et 120 tonnes hectare an. L'homme a profondement modifie le couvert vegetal du bassin. L'erosion est aggravee actuellement par la poussee demographique et le developpement de la mecanisation agricole. L'amenagement du bassin versant, comme la reduction des pertes en terre, passe par la restauration du couvert vegetal.

Rabbi saadia ben maimon ibh danan est l'un des derniers poetes et linguistes de la generation ayant vecu a l'epoque de l'expulsion d'espagne (1492). Ses manuscrits, principalement dans le domaine de la grammaire et de la poesie hebraiques (en judeo-arabe) sont uniques en tant qu'appartenant a deux periodes historiques : fin du moyen age et debut des temps modernes. Dans la description du manuscrit (bodleiana, or 612, oxford), que j'ai dechiffre pour le besoin d'etude linguistique et historique, j'ai fait un rappel general de l'epoque et ai analyse en details son introduction en judeo-arabe. Le but etait de verifier si le judeo-arabe de r. Saadia etait un judeo-arabe moderne ou bien seulement la continuation du judeo-arabe moyenageux. L'analyse m'a permis de constater que la langue d'ibn danan etait en fait la continuation directe de la langue utilisee par les grammairiens tels que hayyuj, ibn janah et radak. En plus du dechiffrage du manuscrit, j'ai analyse 30 poemes qu'il a ecrit en hebreu. J'en ai retrouve les metres et les ai rajoutes. Tous les poemes ont pour sujets l'amour, la satire, le vin et la moraleRabbi saadia ben maimon ibn danan is one of the last poets and linguists of generation of the great expulsion (1492). His manuscripts, mainly in the field of hebrew gramar and poetry (in judeo-arabic) are unique as belonging to two historical periods of time : end of the middle ages and beginning of modern times. In the decription of the manuscript (bodleiana, or 612, oxford) that i deciphered for the need of historical and linguistic study, i made a general resume of the epoch and analysed in details its introduction in judeo-arabic. The aim was to verify if the language of r. Saadia was the modern judeo-arabic. Or only the continuation of the middle-age judeo-arabic. The analysis allowed me to state that the language of ibn danan was the same as that used by grammariens like hayyun, ibn janah and radak. In addition to my deciphering of the manuscript, i analysed some 30 poemes he wrote in hebrew, i found the metres and added them. All the poems deal with the subjects of love, satire, wine and morals

Los sistemas térmicos se caracterizan por sufrir importantes interacciones de trabajo y/o calor con el entorno y, además, pueden intercambiar con él masa en forma de corrientes calientes o frías, incluyendo mezclas químicamente reactivas. Los sistemas térmicos aparecen en casi todas las industrias y pueden encontrarse numerosos ejemplos de ellos en nuestra vida cotidiana. Su diseño supone la aplicación de principios correspondientes a la Termodinámica, la Mecánica de fluidos y la Transferencia de calor, al igual que en campos tales como materiales, fabricación y diseño mecánico. El diseño de los sistemas térmicos también requiere la consideración explícita de la ingeniería económica, puesto que los costes son siempre un aspecto a tener en cuenta. El término termoeconomía puede usarse para esta área general de aplicación, aunque a menudo se aplica de manera más restringida a metodologías que combinan exergía y economía para optimizar el diseño y la operación de los sistemas térmicos. Les DRAMs sont des mémoires fréquemment utilisées dans les systèmes aéronautiques et spatiaux. Leur tenue aux radiations doit être connue pour satisfaire les exigences de fiabilité des applications critiques. Ces évaluations sont traditionnellement faites en accélérateur de particules. Cependant, les composants se complexifient avec l'intégration technologique. De nouveaux effets apparaissent, impliquant l'augmentation des temps et des coûts de test. Il existe une solution complémentaire, le laser impulsionnel, qui déclenche des effets similaires aux particules. Grâce à ces deux moyens de test, il s'est agi d'étudier les principaux modes de défaillance des DRAMs liés aux radiations : les SEUs (Single Event Upset) dans les plans mémoire, et les SEFIs (Single Event Functional Interrupt) dans les circuits périphériques. L'influence des motifs de test sur les sensibilités SEUs et SEFIs selon la technologie utilisée a ainsi été démontrée. L'étude a de plus identifié l'origine des SEFIs les plus fréquents. En outre, des techniques de test laser ont été développées pour quantifier les surfaces sensibles des différents effets. De ces travaux a pu être dégagée une nouvelle méthodologie de test destinée à l'industrie. Son objectif est d'optimiser l'efficacité et le coût des caractérisations, grâce à l'utilisation de l'outil laser de façon complémentaire aux accélérateurs de particules. Enfin, une nouvelle solution de tolérance aux fautes est proposée : basée sur la propriété des cellules DRAMs d'être immune aux radiations lorsqu'elles sont déchargées, cette technique permet la correction de tous les bits d'un mot logique.

La sécurité du territoire du Gabon s'organise autour des enjeux qui s'enracinent moins dans son statut ancien de "petit cendrillon d'Afrique centrale" que dans les représentations du pouvoir politique, pour qui, le Gabon est un "petit Etat", nanti de ressources géostratégiques, qui attisent des convoitises, surtout des puissances extérieures. Des considérations géopolitiques, auxquelles s'ajoutent la situation problématique de ses frontières terrestres et maritimes et, surtout les nouvelles menaces, en tête desquelles l'immigration clandestine, et les menaces internes, notamment les nouvelles formes de criminalité, les conditions sociopolitiques, la pauvreté socioéconomique, les déviances sociales, sans oublié les difficultés liées à l'encadrement territorial. Des enjeux et des menaces internes et externes, au compte desquels s'organise le Gabon, aux fins de sa sécurité. La sécurité gabonaise, qui considère, ainsi, l'échelle locale (interne) et régionale (externe) du territoire du Gabon, s'enracine principalement dans l'œuvre des forces de police et des forces militaires, qui produisent la sécurité publique, la sécurité civile et surveillent le territoire tout en préparant sa défense opérationnelle, pendant que les pouvoirs publics recherchent l'amélioration des conditions sociopolitiques, la qualité vie socioéconomique et environnementale de la population. La sécurité gabonaise s'étend à l'extérieur, dans la coopération régionale, où le Gabon postule une sécurité politique, basée sur l'ordre régional et l'entente cordiale entre pouvoirs, une sécurité économique qui améliorerait ses dépendances alimentaires, une coopération policière par "l'entraide policière" et, éventuellement un rétablissement de l'ordre sur son territoire. Des actions, à côté desquelles le Gabon s'emploie à une diplomatie de paix dans la région pour éviter des impacts des conflits extérieurs sur son territoire. Plus à l'international, la relation avec la France reste cruciale. Le Gabon cherche à renforcer ses capacités militaires et un possible rétablissement de paix sur son territoire. Toute une organisation de sécurité intérieure et extérieure qui, jusque-là, n'a pas donné les résultats escomptés. L'action de la police reste obsolète et l'insécurité grandissante, la sécurité humaine est très faiblement promue, le pouvoir brillant plutôt dans l'autoritarisme et le phagocytose des opposants et réservant un traitement particuliers aux militaires. L'encadrement territorial ne permet pas un contrôle effectif. A l'extérieur, la sécurité coopérative n'a pas réduit les dépendances alimentaires et ne s'avère pas efficace contre les menaces externes tant en mer que sur terre. Le partenariat de défense avec la France semble être un instrument pour la stabilité du pouvoir que pour le renforcement des capacités militaires des forces armées gabonaise. Autant de difficultés qui permettent aisément d'affirmer que le territoire du Gabon n'est pas en sécuritéGabon‘s territory‘s security involves stakes rooted less in its old status of the “little Cinderella of Central Africa“ than in its geopolitical representations of the political power which views the country as a “small state” rich in geostrategic resources stirring up covetousness, above all from outside powers. Together with territorial issues, come up land and sea borders' problems, above all the new threats, in which illegal migration, internal threats -particularly the new forms of criminality- sociopolitical conditions, socioeconomic poverty, social matters as well as difficulties to control the territory, are at the top of the list. Internal and external threats and stakes around which Gabon organizes itself in order to establish security within its territory. The country takes into account local and regional levels of the territory, mainly relying on police and military forces which seek to set up public and civil security, oversee the territory while preparing its effective defense. Aside from this security initiative, the government endeavors to improve sociopolitical conditions, people's socioeconomic' standards of living, and the protection of the environment. Gabonese's security‘s issue goes beyond its borders, as part of a regional cooperation where Gabon negotiates the political peace based on regional order and entente cordial between political powers. An economic security which would improve food expenses, a police cooperation through “mutual judiciary assistance “and, possibly, the recovering of its territory‘s order. Moreover, Gabon's foreign policy is to maintain peace within the area to avoid its territory to be influenced by external conflicts. From the international point of view, Gabon together with France tries to reinforce its military forces and to make a possible peacemaking in the region. So far, this whole initiative hasn't met the country' expectations. The police ‘efforts are inefficient and there is more and more insecurity. The human dimension is relative; rather, the shining government's authoritarianism, the opposition and the military phagocytosis as well as the territory's control are inefficient. Outside, the foreign judiciary assistance fails to cut food expenses and to fend off of external threats whether on sea or land. The defense cooperation with France seems to be more effective in stabilizing the established power than in reinforcing the military forces. Sponges (Porifera) are a major component of coral reef ecosystems. They outnumber coral species on the Florida Reef Tract, and in places, account for more living cover. Because coral reefs are a vital part of Florida’s economy, it is important to understand how local sponge assemblages vary spatially and temporally, especially as corals continue to decline. However, long-term observations of sponge assemblages (species richness, diversity and abundance) are lacking. To address this, annual photoquadrats were analyzed from a series of 25 sites off Broward County between 2000 and 2015. Variations in sponge assemblages were then compared to several natural and anthropogenic stressors. Statistical analysis via PERMANOVA, PERMDISP and linear mixed-effect (lme) models revealed significant changes in total sponge composition, with spatial and temporal trends evident among different habitat types and sites. A total of 85 species were identified to the lowest taxonomic level. Common species included Spirastrella coccinea, Niphates erecta, Aplysina cauliformis, and Amphimedon compressa. Species richness increased with depth and habitat type. The Linear Middle Reef had the highest species abundance and richness, while the Shallow Ridge had the lowest of both. Contrary to trends seen in coral species, sponge composition did not decrease with an increase in latitude. Natural fluctuations in sponge abundance and richness via the sponge loop were intensified by natural events. Five common species (Amphimedon compressa, Aiolochroia crassa, Desmapsamma anchorata, Ircinia strobilina, and Xestospongia muta) were selected to monitor growth and mortality over time. All species except for Am. compressa had significant change in area from 2000 to 2015, and D. anchorata exhibited faster growth rates than all other species. This 15-year study provides a baseline of sponge assemblages on the Southeast Florida Reef Tract and insights into individual sponge communities. Sponges are essential organisms on coral reefs. As hard coral continues to decline, and natural and anthropogenic events intensify, this baseline data will serve to inform future studies.

A presente dissertação foi desenvolvida no âmbito do Mestrado Profissional em Gestão e Avaliação da Educação (PPGP) do Centro de Políticas Públicas e Avaliação da Educação da Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (CAEd/UFJF). O caso de gestão estudado discutiu as ações de formação de gestores desenvolvidas pela Secretaria de Educação do Estado do Ceará no âmbito da Superintendência das Escolas Estaduais de Fortaleza (SEFOR 01). O objetivo definido para este estudo é analisar as contribuições do curso de formação para o exercício da função dos gestores escolares no âmbito da SEFOR 01. Assumiu-se como suposição inicial da pesquisa, partindo-se das experiências profissionais vivenciadas na SEFOR 01, que é necessário aperfeiçoar as etapas de planejamento, implementação e avaliação do referido programa. De orientação qualitativa, a investigação contou, como instrumentos de coleta de dados no campo, com pesquisa documental, com a realização de entrevista semiestruturada e aplicação de questionários. Conclui-se que as atividades de formação não são planejadas a partir de um levantamento das necessidades e propõe-se uma formação pautada no desenvolvimento de competências, a partir do mapeamento das principais dificuldades apresentadas pelos gestores.
This work was developed in the Professional Master in Management and Education Assessment (PPGP) of the Center for Public Policy and Federal University of Education Evaluation of Juiz de Fora (CAEd / UFJF). The case management study discussed the training activities of managers developed by the Secretariat of the State of Ceará Education under the Superintendence of the State Schools of Fortaleza (SEFOR 01). The goal set for this study is to analyze the training course contributions to the exercising of the school management function within the SEFOR 01. It was assumed as initial guess of the survey, starting of professional experiences in the SEFOR 01, which is necessary to improve the stages of planning, implementation and evaluation of the program. Qualitative guidance, research counted as data collection instruments in the field, with desk research, with the completion of semi-structured interviews and questionnaires. We conclude that the training activities are not planned from a survey of needs and propose a training guided the development of skills, from the mapping of the main difficulties presented by managers.

The political and social changes with which the 19th century began in the Balkans after a great part of their territories were taken over by the Austrian Empire, also resulted in social and intellectual activity and created a new framework in the relationship with the Ottoman Empire. Vienna turned into the shelter of many citizens from the Balkans who then became the transmitters of innovation to their co-citizens through their contact with central European culture. In this sense, the members of Jewish communities participated as much as members of other ethnical and social groups. The most prominent of these Jews was Israel Hayim de Belogrado (‘of Belgrade’), who developed an important intellectual work in the Austrian capital between 1813 and 1837. He even reformed Judeo-Spanish spelling and introduced new methodologies for learning Hebrew as a second language, based on the use of a trilingual nomenclature (Hebrew, Judeo-Spanish, German) when presenting the lexical repertoire.Der politische und gesellschaftliche Wandel, mit dem das 19. Jahrhundert auf dem Balkan eingeläutet wurde, nachdem ein Großteil des Territoriums an das Österreichische Reich gefallen war, löste auch die Entwicklung sozialer und intellektueller Bewegungen aus und schuf neue Grundlagen für die Beziehungen mit dem Osmanischen Reich. Wien wurde zum Auffangbecken vieler Menschen des Balkans, die aufgrund der Begegnung mit der zentraleuropäischen Kultur zu Botschaftern von Innovationen gegenüber den Menschen ihrer Herkunftsländer wurden. An diesem Prozess nahmen die Mitglieder der jüdischen Gemeinde genauso wie auch die Mitglieder anderer ethnischer und sozialer Gruppen teil. Der bedeutendste Vertreter war Israel Hayim de Belogrado, der zwischen 1813 und 1837 wichtige intellektuelle Arbeit in der österreichischen Hauptstadt leistete. Er reformierte die judenspanische Orthografie und führte neue Methoden für den Unterricht des Hebräischen als Zweitsprache ein, die auf dem Gebrauch einer dreisprachigen Nomenklatur (hebräisch, judenspanisch, deutsch) für die Darstellung des Wortschatzes basierten.

Small, light weight FTS systems open up applications not possible with the larger and heavier conventional FTS systems. This paper presents a novel approach for the design, implementation and test of a subminiature Flight Terminate System Receiver for use in the Subminiature Flight Safety System (SFSS). This receiver implements the new digital-based Enhanced Flight Termination System (EFTS) protocol, while maintaining a volume of less than 1 cubic inch with power consumption of less than 2 watts. Combining all of the necessary functionality into a small package while meeting the rigorous requirements of the Range Commanders Council (RCC) specifications (EMI, vibration and shock) presented significant challenges. The Subminiature Enhanced Flight Termination Receiver used in the SFSS has been named the "SEFTR".

Sefer Tehillim or the book of Psalms translated into Punjabi language is the most accustomed, read, sung, recited and memorized part of Scriptures by the body of Christ in Pakistan. Firstly, this thesis aims to explore the fascinating history behind the making of these Psalms, the life of Rev. Dr. Imam-ud-Din Shahbaz who translated them in versified form, key factors behind their popularity, and elements that hindered their preparation. Secondly, selected Psalms are analyzed in order to examine the overall translation quality of these Psalms and how meaning in the original has been conveyed in the Punjabi translation. An attempt has been made to draw attention to the linguistic barriers in the Punjabi translation that hinders the acquisition of a clear comprehension for both urban and rural Punjabi speakers. Thirdly, although the Psalms in Punjabi are much cherished by Punjabi Christians in Pakistan, value for a poetical translation of the Psalms for Muslim brethren in the Islamic context of Pakistan and bridge-building factors in the book of Psalms have been highlighted. Finally, sociolinguistic issues facing the Punjabi Christians in Pakistan, their attitude towards their mother-tongue and its likely effect on the continuation of the Psalms in Punjabi and of the availability of Scripture in Punjabi are discussed. The thrust of this thesis is to esteem the shared heritage of the Pakistani Christians, the Psalms in Punjabi commonly known as the Punjabi Zaburs.

Os dados das fontes secundárias foram obtidos por meio de pesquisa documental e bibliográfica. Na pesquisa documental utilizou-se, principalmente, o resultado das avaliações do programa realizado nos anos de 1996 a 1999, sistematizadas e realizadas por um grupo de pesquisadores da Universidade Federal do Amazonas. A avaliação do ano de 2000, realizada de conformidade com os elementos propostos pela Secretaria Nacional de Formação Profissional do Ministério do Trabalho e Emprego e também realizada pelo mesmo grupo de pesquisadores. Assim é que, apresentou-se os procedimentos nestes dois períodos, estabelecendo-se o comparativo entre eles com respeito à gestão do Programa no estado do Amazonas. A análise dos dados foi de caráter descritivo. Desse modo, a partir da revisão bibliográfica, da entrevista e do estudo documental do programa em questão, apresentou-se a metodologia de avaliação do Programa utilizada no período de 1996 até 1999, bem como, aquela proposta pela SEFOR para o ano de 2000. Em seguida estabeleceu-se o comparativo entre essas duas sistemáticas de avaliação, procurando explicitar os pontos de diferença entre os dois métodos. Em seguida identificou-se junto à coordenadora da avaliação externa do Programa, os aspectos negativos e positivos detectados com a adoção da nova metodologia. A análise desses pontos descritos permite vislumbrar que a nova proposta de metodologia para avaliação da gestão, ainda que careça de estudos mais profundos, apresentou desempenho melhor que aquela existente anteriormente, principalmente quanto a possibilidade de obtenção de nível de eficiência para a classificação da gestora do Programa no Amazonas. O nível de eficiência foi medido tomando como base a nova metodologia, pela qual a SETRAB alcançou a eficiência de 72,7% que, segundo a classificação estabelecida pela SPPE, o Programa no Estado, no ano de 2000, foi de "média eficiência"

This dissertation contains a Hebrew edition and annotated Catalan translation of Isaac the Blind's (1165-1235) Commentary on the Book of Creation.
The introduction introduces the historical context in which the author lived as well as some biographical data and the intellectual influence from Jewish Andalusian culture in the text. It further analyzes the relationship of the author's philosophy with other schools of thought, as the ones in Troyes and Paris, as well as his neoplatonic influences. It proceeds to a detailed analysis of the author's views on epistemology, cosmology and anthropology which, while act as breaking points with previous mystical views, at the same time they set the platform for the development of medieval kabbalah.Aquesta tesi presenta el text en hebreu, i una traducció anotada al català del comentari escrit per Isaac el cec (1165-1235). L'estudi previ que acompanya la traducció introdueix el context històric en què va viure l'autor així com la seva biografia i les relacions que l'autor va tenir amb els corrents intel•lectuals provinents de l'Al-Andalus. Analitzem els referents culturals del mon cristià en l’obra, especialment les escoles de Troyes i París, així com la influència del neoplatonisme. Le Meshiv Devarîm Nekhohîm, Livre de la Réponse Adéquate est à la fois un ouvrage polémique et un livre de kabbale théosophique, rédigé vers 1245-1246 à Gérone en Catalogne par le kabbaliste Jacob ben Sheshet. L'auteur s'oppose au rationalisme maïmonidien à travers le Ma'âmar Yiqawû ha-Mayîm le Discours sur le Rassemblement des Eaux écrit en 1221 par Samuel Ibn Tibbon, philosophe juif languedocien, traducteur du Guide des Egarés de Maïmonide. Selon les philosophes rationalistes, le monde est éternel, non créé, la Providence divine ne s'exerce pas dans le monde sub-lunaire, sur les individus. Les préceptes sont utilitaires, non révélés, la prière est méditation spirituelle. Le kabbaliste face à cela prône l'adventicité du monde, créé ex-nihilo, l'action de la Providence sur tout le créé et la révélation de la Loi. La prière est élan du cœur et parole prononcée. Les dix premiers chapitres de l'œuvre traitent de la Genèse du monde, de la création de l'homme, de l'âme, de la résurrection, de la destruction et du renouvellement des mondes selon la théorie de l'apocatastase. Les âmes subissent la métensomatose. Le Trône divin correspond au ciel, aux anges, aux Intellects séparés ; le marchepied, aux sphères célestes et aux êtres terrestres. Comportant les quatre éléments, ils sont matière et forme, corruptibles et voués à la mort. Tous les existants sont l'œuvre de Dieu transcendant et de Lui-seul. The work deals with theosophical kabbalah but it is principally a controversy against Samuel Ibn Tibbon's Ma'âmar Yiqawû ha-Mayîm : Discourse Concerning the Drawing together of the Waters (Genesis, 1, 9), which has been complieted in the year 1221. Samuel Ibn Tibbon lived in southern France, in Languedoc; he was a philosopher who translated Maïmonides' Guide of the Perplexed from Arab to Hebrew. Yacov ben Sheshet's book is a controversy against rationalism, opposing faith to reason. The kabbalist states that God created the universe de novo, ex- nihilo. The divine Providence acts in the sub-lunar and in the celestial world as well. God himself gave to Israel, His people the precepts of His law, the Torah. Ibn Tibbon is charged with thinking that the world is eternal ; the divine Providence is too far from it to exert any influence. The precepts are mere social laws; they are necessary for human health, good deeds and morality. Prayer is spiritual meditation and not – according to the kabbalist - a dialogue with God, praise and request for what is needed in every day life. God created everything by Himself. Man stands as a microcosm, the celestial world being the macrocosm. God is transcendent and He is perceived through His manifestation in the universe, thanks to the ten sefirot which are God's substance. The terrestrial universe is destroyed after seven millenaries (theory of apocatastasis). Human soul transmigrates from human to human body: metensomatosis. Deads resurrect with their own body. Man is able to approach God closely in the debeqût. Israel destiny is not related to the stars, but only to divine Will, prayer, learning and repentance. The Book of Correct Answer is a work of theosophic kabbalah, it also includes gnostic ideas from the Book of Clarity and notions about the part played by Hebraic letters in the world creation and also neo-platonic and Aristotelian ideas inherited from Arab philosophy

WOMEN’S RELATIONSHIPS: FEMALE FRIENDSHIP IN TONI MORRISON’S SULA AND LOVE, MARIAMA BA’S SO LONG A LETTER AND SEFI ATTA’S EVERYTHING GOOD WILL COME by KADIDIA SY Under the Direction of Renée Schatteman, Chris Kocela and Margaret Harper ABSTRACT This study analyzes female friendship in four novels written by black diasporic women and examines the impact of race, class and gender on women’s relationships. The novels emphasize how women face the challenges of patriarchal institutions and other attempts to subjugate then through polygamy, neo-colonialism, constraints of tradition, caste prejudice, political instability and the Biafra war. This dissertation uses characterization and plot analysis to explore the different stories and messages the novels portray. As findings this study foregrounds the healing powers of female bonding, which allows women to overcome prejudice and survive, to enjoy female empowerment, and to extend female friendship into female solidarity that participates in nation building. However, another conclusion focuses on the power of patriarchy which constitutes a threat to female bonding and usually causes women’s estrangement. This thesis project examines the work of three female Nigerian authors: Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Sefi Atta and Chika Unigwe. They are part of a growing number of young African writers who are receiving international acclaim and challenging narratives that have long defined the continent in pejorative terms. They question what it means to be female and African in a transcultural, global world but counter discourses that are both restrictive and prescriptive. Their female characters are not imaged in binary terms as either victims or villains. For all three writers, the African story has to be told in its entirety incorporating what some may argue are negative stereotypes but doing so in a manner that examines and undermines those same stereotypes. For the purposes of the thesis, I focus on their first novels: Adichie’s Purple Hibiscus, Atta’s Everything Good Will Come and Unigwe’s On Black Sisters’ Street. Chapter One examines Purple Hibiscus and argues that the novel is much more than a coming of age story or, as some critics have posited, an allegory of the postcolonial state. Chapter Two highlights Atta’s use of fairly familiar feminist theories but grounds them in the lived realities of the African city. All three authors are concerned with issues of violence and death. Unigwe’s novel, which forms the focus of Chapter Three, offers a critical perspective on how both of those themes intersect with the increasing commercialisation of global culture. Her characters are female sex workers whose lives are irrevocably altered by the murder of one of their colleagues. I conclude by arguing that the three novels offer a nuanced if not necessarily new understanding of the various social, economic and political forces that continue to shape the lives of women on the continent.
