The Ancient Romans knew a deity named Segesta and Segetia. In Gallia there was a cult of dea Segeta. A link between them in the contemporary interpretations became the antonimniani of DEAE SEGETIAE type issues under Valerian and Gallienus for empress Salonina (258–260 AD). A new genus, Segesta, is described based on nymphs from the State of Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil. The genus is related to Thraulodes, Massartellopsis, Meridialaris and Secochela as indicated by the posterolateral spines on abdominal segments 2 to 9, by the long lanceolate gills present on segments 1 to 7, tarsal claws without a large subapical denticle, and general shape of clypeus and labrum. An Elymian identity given by Thucydides (6.2.3) illustrates well ethnic convergen- ces in classical Sicily. Refugees from Troy called themselves Elymians, founded Segesta and Eryx, and were later joined by some storm-driven Phokians. The Trojan ethnic component may reflect a Sicilian tradition at least as early as the late sixth century BCE (Stesichoros), strengthened through time, so that by the Roman period Segesta won tax relief on the basis of “kinship diplomacy.” Identifying what is Elymian about Segesta is challenging, and the main topic of two international congresses (Pisa 1997, 2000).

The description and analysis of the roadside vegetation of highways in the districts of Minsk and Minsk region was carried out, followed by the identification and grouping of segetal-ruderal species. Plants are distributed according to segetal, segetal-ruderal, ruderal-segetal and ruderal accessories. A total of 50 descriptions were made and 266 species were found, of which the largest number of the studied flora component was noted for the ruderal (20) and segetal-ruderal fractions (25) - 45 species (16.9 %); the smallest amount was found for ruderal-segetal vegetation - 11 (4.1 %). The results of studying the invasiveness of adventive plants in segetal ecosystems of the Donetsk physical-geographical region are presented. It was found that most of the segetal plant species are adventive. More than 54% of species are included outside the desire of man. The floristic study indicates that the flora of this ecosystem was formed by the intrusion of native spontaneous species, which adapted to the conditions of the city's ecosystem and non-native species, which intruted in different ways on the territory of the Republic of Moldova. The floristic spectrum of the city of Florești is represented by 85 species, grouped into 74 genera from 25 families of magnoliophytes. The floristic component of the researched ecosystem is represented by ruderal, spontaneous and segetal-ruderal species.

The floristic study in the central square of the town. Bălți (near the bell tower) indicates that the flora of the urban ecosystem was formed as a result of the preservation of spontaneous autochthonous species, which adapted to the conditions of urbanization, as well as non-native species, which penetrated the territory of the country in different ways. The floristic spectrum of the resort is represented by 41 species, grouped into 37 genera from 21 families of magnoliophytes. Within the resort, the presence of two invasive species is attested: Erigeron annuus (L.) Pers and Humulus lupulus L.
