Nine experiments were done to test three theories of auditory stream segregation and to investigate some conditions under which segregated tones re-integrate. In two-part trials, subjects (adults with normal hearing) first heard a segregation-inducing "Induction Sequence" whose effects upon an immediately subsequent "Test Sequence" were measured. Abstract Radiation-induced grain boundary segregation (RIS) of silicon and phosphorus in austenitic stainless steels is established and its influence on electrochemical behavior investigated. Silicon enrichment increases with irradiation dose for both neutrons and heavy ions. Interfacial concentrations reach about 8 at% after irradiation exposures to 10 dpa. Phosphorus segregates strongly during initial thermal treatment, but no conclusive evidence of further boundary enrichment could be determined after irradiation. Complementing detailed fieldwork, the econometric work implements a two-stage matching procedure on propensity scores, gender and labor income.
