With its distinctive form and content, African dance stands apart, carving out a unique identity that sets it apart from other continents. Its inherent rhythm possesses a magnetic quality capable of compelling people to move, transcending language barriers—an attribute that has propelled African musicians, particularly those from Nigeria, to a dominating position on the global music stage. This paper delves into traditional African dance, explicitly focusing on the rhythmic opulence found in the dance of rattles, costumes, and water pots within Seki. This captivating dance drama pays homage to the vibrant culture of the Niger Delta in Nigeria, Africa. Authored by Yibo Koko, the Seki dance drama undergoes a transformative journey, skilfully repackaging the traditional village square theatre into a digitalized theatrical experience accessible both as a live performance and in the dynamic space of new media. The paper employs a robust methodology and theoretical framework, drawing on dance theories, historical surveys, and analytical reviews of Seki performances to unravel the nuanced layers of this artistic expression. In scrutinizing Seki, this paper not only sheds light on the captivating exploration of rhythmic elements, including rattles, costumes, and water pots, but also underscores the broader impact of Seki's performance. The dance drama is a compelling canvas that radiates colours and a flawless rhythm, capturing global attention and playing a pivotal role in restoring the splendour of African ancestry. Through this repackaged theatre experience, Seki becomes a vehicle for exporting African culture, offering a renewed perspective that transcends borders and celebrates the rich heritage embedded in the dance's vibrant tapestry.

Summary: Lymphedema is characterized by the abnormal accumulation of lymphatic fluid in the skin and subcutaneous tissue owing to impaired lymph flow. This condition may be primary or secondary to other diseases. Most lymphedema occurs in the lower extremities, which greatly interferes with the activities of the patients, especially walking. Further, it may affect the psychological condition of patients. In Indonesia, several patients with severe lymphedema have visited our clinic. In our center, lymphography is not available. However, as our center is a provincial referral hospital, many patients with lymphedema present with severe conditions. Nonoperative and operative treatment is available, including lymphovenous anastomosis. Herein, we present the rare case of a 33-year-old man with severe lymphedema in his left leg for the past 7 years. The patient was diagnosed with stage III secondary lymphedema of the left lower extremity and underwent lymphaticovenular anastomosis using a modification of the Seki method (Seki 2015). Five large lymphatic vessels were identified using methylene blue, and a transverse incision was made approximately 2–3 cm from the skin to the fatty tissue under the superficial fascia. Lymphaticovenular anastomosis was performed using a microscope. On postoperative day 1, the edema in the leg shrank significantly, and 6 months after surgery, the patient’s foot size began normalizing. The patient could wear pants and became more confident.

Abstract:
In the early period of this century, some comets were discovered by Japanese amateur astronomers. Just fifty years ago, in 1937, Minoru Honda began to search for systematically comets with his 15-cm reflector. He observed Comet Encke without an ephemeris in November, 1937, and made his firts discovery of a comet in 1940. This comet was also discovered independently by Shigeki Okabayashi (Comet Okabayashi-Honda, 1940e). Subsequently, Honda discovered Comet Friend-Reese-Honda (1941a) in 1941. Unfortunately, Okabayashi was killed at the Second World War in 1945.After the end of the war, Honda discovered ten comets during 1947 and 1968. In 1968, he discovered three comets in a year. He has been an active observer of comets and novae. Stimulated by Honda’s success, Tsutomu Seki began his comet hunting in 1950, and his long and patient efforts were rewarded with the discovery of Comet Seki, 1961f. Seki later discovered six comets, and rediscovered six short-period comets before 1981. In that year, Seizo Goto, a well-known telescope maker in Japan, donated a 60-cm reflector. Since then, with the Goto telescope, Seki has made many astronomic observations of comets and minor planets. He has rediscovered some periodic comets and has discovered many minor planets every year.

A entrevista, gravada, foi realizada na casa da pesquisadora em Campinas, em 2000, por Aline da Cruz e Olga Coelho. A presente edição, seguindo diretrizes do projeto, procurou manter a espontaneidade e o conteúdo do depoimento da entrevistada, mas omite perguntas, altera a ordem de certas informações, evita repetições e digressões próprias da fala. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan analisis internal dan eksternal risiko pembiayaan bermasalah perbankan syariah. Analisis internal berkenaan dengan Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR), Return on Assets (ROA) Operating Expenses Ratio (OER), Financing to Value (FTV), Profit and Loss Sharing (PLS). Analisis eksternal berkenaan dengan 17 sektor Gross Domestic Product (GDP) menurut lapangan usaha. Laporan keuangan Statistik Perbankan Syariah (SPS) dan Statistik Ekonomi Keuangan Indonesia (SEKI) merupakan data sekunder yang mendukung penetapan skala prioritas pada analisis SWOT elemen IFAS dan EFAS setelah uji analisis regresi berganda. Berbeda dengan hasil uji statistik, temuan penelitian berdasarkan analisis SWOT menyimpulkan bahwa variabel internal lebih berdampak pada risiko pembiayaan bermasalah dibandingkan variabel eksternal. Adapun variabel internal yang dominan mempengaruhi adalah kenaikan Rasio Beban Biaya Operasional. Kelemahan penulisan artikel ini adalah implikasi SPS dan SEKI sebagai data kuantitatif yang dikualitatifkan, kepatuhan syariah dari regulator manajemen perbankan syariah serta kepatuhan syariah dari penyedia data SPS dan SEKI.

The Forward Observer (FO) role is vital in military operations, especially in the Medan Artillery unit. FO was in charge of directing artillery fire against the target. In the execution of artillery fire, several types of artillery fire formations are often carried out to hit the target correctly. The formation includes Tama, Tamu, Seka, Seki and Lingkar. In the FO simulator, the artillery fire formation is modeled and visualized in 3D. Modeling and visualization of artillery fire formation can save costs for military operations training in the Medan Artillery unit. In the test results, by entering several parameters, the formula has succeeded in modeling the type of artillery fire according to the type of formation.

Makalenin konusunu, Pisidia Antiokheia’da Tanrı Men’in Kutsal Alanında bulunan “Hazine Binaları” oluşturmaktadır. Tapınak ve Kutsal Alan, Antiokheia’nın 5 km doğusunda 1600 m yüksekliğindeki Gemen Dağı’nın tepesindedir. Binalar, tapınağın kuzeydoğu köşesinde doğuya doğru yan yana sıralanmıştır. Alanda 2017 yılında başlatılan kazılar 2018 yılında tamamlanmış ve yedi tane bina açığa çıkarılmıştır. Yapıların içerisinde en son evrede konulmuş olan seramik, cam, pişmiş toprak, kemik, fldişi, kireçtaşı ve mermerden yapılmış eserler ile bronz ve gümüş sikkeler insitu olarak bulunmuştur. Birbirinin aynısı, girişleri güneyde templum in antis planlı yapılar, 3,30x4 m ölçülerinde, korunmuş duvar yükseklikleri yaklaşık 1,5 – 2 metre arasındadır. Binaların, daha geniş olan kuzey duvarları yaklaşık 1 m genişliğindeyken diğer duvarları ortalama 70 cm kalınlığındadır. Yapılardan 1, 5 ve 6 numaralı olanların kuzey duvarının önüne yaklaşık 1 m yüksekliğinde bir seki yapılmış ve kült objeleri bu sekinin üzerine ve önüne yerleştirilmişken, diğerlerinde bir seki yoktur. Son kullanım evresi son pagan İmparator Julianus döneminde olan binaların en erken evreleri hakkında yeterince arkeolojik ve epigrafk veri bulunamamıştır.

Atomically thin two-dimensional (2D) materials have aroused an explosive growth of scientific interest for their outstanding physicochemical properties. In addition, decorations of 2D materials with organic semiconductors have also begun to receive scientific attention owing to the tunable optoelectronic properties and the excellent solution-based processability of the organic molecules. In this study, composite films that consisted of C60 with well-exfoliated nanosheets of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) [1], antimony [2], or bismuth [3] were successfully fabricated onto a semiconducting SnO2 electrode via a two-step methodology: self-assembly into their composite aggregates by injection of a poor solvent into a good solvent with the dispersion, and subsequent electrophoretic deposition. In addition, photophysical and photoelectrochemical properties of the composite films were investigated in detail. For example, in a flash-photolysis time-resolved microwave conductivity (FP-TRMC) measurement of a composite material consisting of C60 and few-layered antimonene (FLSb) nanosheets (denoted as (FLSb+C60) m ), a rapid rise in transient conductivity was observed, whereas no conductivity signal was observed in the single components, FLSb and C60. This demonstrated the occurrence of photoinduced charge separation between FLSb and C60 in (FLSb+C60) m . Furthermore, a photoelectrochemical device with an electrophoretically deposited (FLSb+C60) m film exhibited an enhanced efficiency of photocurrent generation, compared to those of the single-components, FLSb and C60, due to the photoinduced charge separation between FLSb and C60. AbstractData obtained through microwave analog measurements are used to compare optical polarization characteristics of silicate particles ranging in shape from spheroids and cylinders to chains of spheres. It is confirmed that the dependence of the degree of polarization on scattering angle is a powerful indicator of particle shape. The reversal and steep gradient in the degree of polarization found by Weinberg and Beeson (1976a,b) in the dust tail of comet Ikeya-Seki (1965 VIII) is suggestive of laboratory measurements corresponding to 1.6 μm long, 0.4 μm in diameter silicate cylinders.

AbstractMost periodic comets are recovered by professional astronomers at faint magnitudes (18–21). Only Tsutomu Seki, using a 60-cm telescope has been an exception to this rule. Amateurs having access to large telescopes (such as the T 60 at Pic du Midi) now stand a chance of success. For example, using the T 60, the author photographed P/Halley at mag. 19–20 on forming-gas hypered Kodak TP2415 in a 1-hour exposure. Experiments by C. Buil suggest that the same telescope can reach magnitudes 21–22 with a CCD array cooled to – 50° C and a 30-minute integration time.

In the process of architectural design, there is no special method employed by architects to evaluate buildings’ structural vulnerability and building geometry form designs towards earthquakes. Therefore, the alternative is adapting the existing method called SVA-Retrofit. JBDPA and Matsutaro Seki developed this method, and then the author adapted this method now called SVA Architectural Design. In the process of adaptation, deep literature review was conducted in order to acquire the adaptation results of the SVA-Architectural Design. These results can furthermore be an early prediction of structural vulnerability toward earthquakes that eventually leads to finding solutions for building designs or conducting detailed analysis done by structure experts.

Abstract:
This study aims to determine the effect of macroeconomic variables, namely economic growth, inflation and foreign exchange rates on the profitability of Islamic banks in Indonesia. The data sources for macroeconomic variables in this study are secondary data published by BPS and SEKI, while the profitability data for 14 Islamic banks in Indonesia are taken from the OJK Sharia Banking Statistics. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method with panel data analysis. The results showed that there was no significant effect of macroeconomic variables, namely economic growth, inflation and exchange rate variables on the profitability of Islamic banks partially, but simultaneously significant.
