Magistro baigiamojo darbo tikslas – įgyvendinti realiuoju laiku veikiančius objektų sekimo vaizde algoritmus lauku programuojamų loginių matricų įrenginyje (LPLM) ir ištirti šių algoritmų veikimą. Iškelti uždaviniai pasiekti 3 etapais. Atlikta analitinė objektų sekimo vaizde literatūros apžvalga, išanalizuoti objektų sekimo vaizde algoritmai bei jų įgyvendinimo galimybės LPLM įrenginiuose. Sukurti algoritmai ir programos įgyvendintos viename ir keliuose LPLM įrenginiuose (sinchroniškai) taikant VHDL programavimo kalbą ir veikia realiu laiku. Atlikti sukurtų algoritmų tyrimai ir gautų rezultatų analizė. Ištirtas objektų sekimo stabilumas keičiant apšviestumo lygį, fono sudėtingumą, objekto spalvą, judesio greitį, atstumą iki kameros ir posūkio kampą. Darbo apimtis – 69 psl. teksto be priedų, 72 iliustr., 70 bibliografinių šaltinių, 3 priedai.The aim of master’s thesis is to investigate the object tracking methods and implement the object tracking algorithms in field programmable gate array (FPGA) devices for real-time execution. The aim is achieved by performing 3 tasks. The analytical review of object tracking methods is performed, reviewing the abilities of algorithms implementation on FPGAs. The object tracking algorithms are implemented in VHDL and distributed on one and few FPGA chips in parallel and works in real-time. The implemented algorithms are investigated and results are analyzed. The stability of different object tracking is investigated by changing the illumination, background complexity, object color, moving velocity, distance to camera and rotation angle. Thesis consists of: 69 p. text without appendixes, 72 figures, 70 bibliographical entries, 3 appendixes included.

Šiame darbe buvo ištirtas keleto pasirinktų objekto vaizde sekimo metodų pritaikomumas relaus laiko vaizdo transliavimo sistemose. Išsiaiškinta, kad standartinis blokelių sutapdinimo algoritmas, nors yra pats paprasčiausias iš tirtųjų, yra netinkamas naudoti tokiose sistemose dėl ilgai užtrunkančių skaičiavimų, kurie sukuria papildomą vaizdo vėlinimą. Fazinės koreliacijos metodo taikymo taip pat buvo atsisakyta, nes jo randami vaizdo poslinkio vektoriai yra pernelyg atsitiktiniai. Tiriant būdingųjų taškų paieška ir sutapdinimu grįstus algoritmus buvo išsiaiškinta, kad HARRIS randa daugiausiai taškų iš visų, FAST algoritmas veikia greičiausiai, nors randamų taškų skaičius ir tikslumas yra žymiai mažesnis, o SURF ir MSER algoritmai puikiai balansuoja tarp randamų taškų skaičiaus, jų tikslumo ir skaičiavimų vykdymo greičio. Padarėme išvadas, kad visi tirti būdingųjų taškų sutapdinimu ir paieška pagrįsti metodai, priklausomai nuo uždavinio pobūdžio, gali būti taikomi realaus laiko vaizdo transliacijos sistemos objektams vaizde sekti.In this thesis we've investigated methods used in object tracking in video sequences, that could be applied in systems of real-time video streaming. We've found out that a standard block matching method, despite being the most simplistic one out of all methods investigated, is also the most time consuming and cannot be applied in real-time systems. Phase correlation method is much faster than block matching, but motion vectors calculated with this algorithm are too random and it would be impractical to use it in real-time object tracking. While investigating feature detection and matching methods we've concluded that HARRIS algorithm finds more feature points than others, FAST algorithm is the fastest, but not very accurate, SURF and MSER algorithms retains the balance between the calculation speed and accuracy of finding feature points. Hence all these algorithms could be applied in real-time video streaming systems to track objects, depending on the contents of the video sequence and the complexity of the task.

Pirmajame skyriuje yra nagrinėjama LPLM(Lauku Programuojamos Loginės Matricos) (angl. FPGA) struktūra. Nagrinėjama vidinė LPLM struktūra t.y. trasavimas, loginiai elementai ir įėjimai/išėjimai. Toliau nagrinėjama „Altera“ firmos siūlomas programinis NIOS II procesorius, kuris gaunamas įkėlus NIOS II programos kodą į LPLM. „Altera“ NIOS II yra programinis bendros paskirties, 32 bitų RISC procesorius optimizuotas programuojama logika.A first chapter deals with FPGA (field programmable gate arrays) structure. There are examined FPGA gates, input and output devices, an routing inside devices. Further an analysis of Altera's NIOS II soft processor, which is obtained by uploading the NIOS II code into the FPGA, is done. Altera's NIOS II is a general-purpose programmable, 32-bit RISC processor optimized for programmable logic.

Yokai é a designação comumente aplicada para nomear seres sobrenaturais como oni (ogro japonês), kappa (espécie de ser aquático), criados pelos homens para explicar fenômenos desconhecidos à sua volta, como epidemias e desastres naturais; dessa maneira, eventos nocivos ao ser humano tomaram a forma do yokai. Hoje, essas criaturas estão presentes no imaginário japonês sob a condição de personagens de anime (denominação das animações japonesas), mangá (histórias em quadrinhos nipônicas), games expressões modernas da cultura popular do Japão. A presente pesquisa buscou trilhar o caminho percorrido por esses seres até alcançarem o status de yokai-personagem. Os estudos concentraram-se nas principais representações dos ykai nas Época Heian (794-1192), Época Muromachi (1333-1573) e Época Edo (1603-1867), pois foi quando se verificou importantes mudanças nas expressões dessas criaturas, até culminar nos personagens criados pelo artista de mangá Mizuki Shigeru (1922- ), responsável por introduzir o yokai no imaginário nacional japonês no século XX. Pesquisas acadêmicas em língua portuguesa que tomam o yokai como objeto são escassas. Esperamos com esse estudo, apresentar essas criaturas na academia, e inseri-las no contexto acadêmico, despertando, quem sabe, interesse para futuros projetos.Yokai is the designation commonly used to name supernatural beings as oni ( the Japanese ogre), kappa (a kind of aquatic being), created by men to explain the unknown phenomena around them like epidemics and natural disasters; this way, damaging events to men turned into a Yokai format. Nowadays these creatures are presented in the Japanese imaginary as an anime character (name given to Japanese animations), mangá (Japanese comics), games modern expressions of the popular culture of Japan. The goal of this research sought to trace the course made by these beings until they reached the yokai character status. The studies focused on the main representations of the yokai in the Heian Period (794-1192), in the Muromachi Period (1333-1573) and in the Edo Period (1603-1867), when several and important changes were perceived in the expression of these creatures until they culminated in characters created by the mangá artist Mizuki Shigeru (1922- ), responsible for introducing the ykai in the Japanese national imaginary world in the XX century. Academic research in the Portuguese language about the yokai is scarce. We expect with this study to present these creatures to the Academy and insert them in the academic context, awaking peoples interest for future projects.

Game space can be conceived of as being structured by varying levels of ruledness, i.e. it oscillates between openness and closure, between playability and gameness. The movement through game space can then be described as a vector defined by possibility spaces, which are generated organically out of the interplay between ruled and unruled space. But we can only define rules ex negativo, therefore the possibility of breaking the rules is always already inscribed in this vector of movement. This can be conceptualized as a boundary operation that takes the difference between ‘ordinary life’ and ‘play’ as its argument, and which thus generates the difference between ‘play’ and ‘game’.

I will consider the Influence of Chinese mathematics on Seki Kowa. For this purpose, my thesis is constructed in four parts, introduction, I the studies of editions; Shu. Shu. Jiu Zhang and Yang Hui Sum. Fa, II the conception and extension of method for making magic squares, and III the analysis for solving indeterminate equations. In the introduction, I will explain some similarities between Chinese mathematics in the Song dynasty and Seki Kowa's works. It will become clear that the latter was influenced by Chinese mathematics. Then I introduce some former opinions concerning which Chinese mathematical book influenced him. I shall show that two Chinese mathematical books, Shi Shu. Jiu Zhang and Yang Hai Suan Fa, are particularly important. Some Chinese mathematical books were republished and studied by Japanese mathematicians, but these two books were not accessible to Japanese mathematicians. Thus we must study them for considering questions of influence. I will consider two subjects, the treatment of magic squares in Yang Hui Suan Fa in chapter H and the method of solving indeterminate equations in Shu Shu Jiu Zhang in chapter III. Before considering the contents of these subjects, we must know more about the available versions of these two books in chapter I, otherwise we cannot know whether Seki Kowa could have obtained them. It seems certain that Seki Kowa studied the Yang Hui Sum Fa, but I cannot know whether he studied the Shu Shu Jiu Zhang. However, Seki Kowa's method of solving indeterminate equations is very similar to that of Qin Jiushao, especially when their methods of changing negative constants into positive are similar. Thus I would like to propose that Seki Kowa studied the Chinese method of solving indeterminate equations.

Un vaste reseau de conspiration, organise par des traitres appartenant a la direction meme du parti, s'etait developpe dans tous les domaines de l'activite du pays. Les objectifs, conformes aux vues des services secrets occidentaux, etaient l'assassinat du chef de l'etat, la restauration du capitalisme et le sabotage de tous les rouages de la vie nationale. La conspiration decouverte, ses promoteurs, contraints d'avouer leurs crimes, avaient ete "juges" et justement chaties a la grande satisfaction du peuple. Des milliers de personnes ont ete deportees au camp boiro qui etait a la fois un camp de reeducation et un camp d'extermination. Le lien entre ces deux notions fait l'objet de cette these. Nous avons voulu, en outre, faire le lien entre les systemes politiques autoritaires et l'institution totalitaire de reeducation. C'est generalement dans les periodes politiques critiques que la necessite de transformer le systeme educatif ou de reeducation se fait le plus sentir. Aussi, les "revolutionnaires" exigent-ils un changement de l'institution scolaire a la mesure de leur volonte de batir la societe nouvelle. Le but avoue est de faconner un homme nouveau qui correspondrait a la societe qu'ils veulent edifier. Les systemes educatifs centralises entre les mains de l'etat et du parti contribuent a l'"integration" politique des individus jusqu'a leur desintegration psychique et physique, car le totalitarisme tend vers des solutions "totales" ou "finales".

As poverty alleviation projects are being established in communities in order to reduce the impact of unemployment, crime, and inequality as well as other factors propagating poverty, numerous projects fail to democratically meet the needs of the poor majority. Development initiatives brought forth by government and non-governmental organisations, which adopt a top-down approach in order to accelerate development, do not always have a positive effect on the community, especially on the poor majority, which development is meant to empower and benefit. This results in the short life span of the project and leads the community into immense poverty. Thus, the focus of this research paper was to evaluate the extent to which poverty alleviation projects such as the Seki Women’s Foundation, contribute towards the alleviation of poverty in its community, located in New Brighton, Port Elizabeth. This evaluation study focused more on aspects of development concerning community participation, empowerment through skills training and project sustainability. The objectives of the study were to investigate the values, aims and objectives of the Seki Women’s Foundation; how these values, aims and objectives were fulfilled; the challenges faced by the project towards effective community development and the determinants of the long-term sustainability of the project. The research study adopted a qualitative approach, which allowed the researcher to collect meaningful knowledge from the volunteers and stakeholders by conducting semi-structured interviews and a focus group which were guided by open-ended questions. The data was thematically analysed where important concepts were coded in order to obtain accurate information so that valid results could be reached. The main findings of the research study suggested that the contribution made by the Seki Women’s Foundation towards poverty alleviation and community development is to empower the volunteers and community through skills training in baking, gardening and sewing. The volunteers share these skills amongst community members, enabling them to be self-sufficient and implement the skills in their own surroundings. The project builds strong partnerships with the stakeholders by being accountable and transparent about the utilisation of funds through report formulation. Although the project implements some principles of community development, the full participation of volunteers in the development process remains a concern, especially in decision making. The challenges faced by the project are concerned with burglary of clothing containers, stealing of vegetation and garden tools and the community not buying the products sold by the project. The research study recommends that the volunteers reason with the community and instil trust and honesty to avoid crime. The project should instil authentic participation in all development processes and form a partnership with local shops in convincing them to sell their produce as this will allow some income to generate within the project and community.

En 1958, la Guinée rejette la proposition d'intégrer la communauté franco-africaine que propose le général de Gaulle. La France tire toutes les conséquences de ce vote en se retirant de sa désormais ex-colonie. Emportant avec elle tous les moyens matériels, financiers et humains qui faisaient tourner l'administration et l'état. A l'instar de tous les secteurs, l'éducation est littéralement anéantie. Le jeune état doit faire table-rase du passé et édifier un système éducatif de manière ex-nihilo. Le président Sekou Toure courtisé par toutes les puissances dans le contexte de la guerre froide se lance dans l'édification d'un systeme éducatif de type révolutionnaire qui aura la charge de former l'homme nouveau qui fera de la Guinée un pays prospère. Peu de temps apres l'indépendance le régime dictatorial mis en place par le pdg-rda politise à outrance le système éducatif et instrumentalise l'école pour perenniser son pouvoir. Cette thèse retrace le processus d'édification du système éducatif guinéen en essayant de penser ensemble la triptyque enseignants-enseignés-acteurs politiques pour comprendre toute la complexite de la politisation de l'école guinéenne. Pour ce faire, l'auteur répond aux interrogations suivantes : quel est le rôle des acteurs de l'éducation dans l'avénement de l'indépendance et l'impact de cette dernière au niveau du système éducatif ? President Sékou Touré, courted by all the powers during the cold war. Launches The construction of an educational system of revolutionary type which will have the responsibility of forming the new man' who will make guinea a prosperous country. Shortly after independence the dictatorial regime set up by the pdg-rda politicizes with excess the educational system and instrumentalises school in order to perpetuate its power. This thesis retraces the process of construction of the guinean educational System while trying to analyse the triptych teachers-students-political players to understand the complexity of the politicization of the guinean school system. For this purpose, the author answers the following questions: which is the role of the protagonists of the educational system in the declaration of independence and the impact of the latter on the educational system? What does it mean to be a teacher and who are the people under Sékou Touré? What does it mean to be a student under the regime of the PDG? In short. What does it mean to be a protagonist of the educational system under the regime of the PDG-RDA?

In this essay, I study Toriyama Sekien’s yōkai (supernatural beings) catalogues and undertake a diachronic examination surrounding Sekien's imprint on his contemporaries and modern times, striving to highlight the aesthetic dimension that adds to the popularity of yōkai today. Through an image analysis based on a modified version of Roman Jakobson's communication model and a diachronic examination of Sekien’s influence on the imagination of the Japanese people, I have investigated how and why Sekien chose to depict yōkai in his catalogues as kawaii (cute). The questions that have driven my study are as follows: 1. Why does Toriyama Sekien kawaii use aesthetic codes in his four catalogues? 2. In what ways have Toriyama Sekien's catalogues influenced the Japanese people's imagination and world view? The study is anchored in cute studies theories, and with the theory Displacement of Meaning, I have identified possible answers to how Sekien has influenced the Japanese people's imagination: (1) kawaii aesthetic codes are found in Toriyama Sekien's work, because Sekien tried to make his creations as attractive as possible. To accomplish this, he used aesthetic elements which cute studies theories have found control what we perceive as kawaii and thus attractive. (2) Toriyama Sekien demystified the supernatural, took it out of context and allowed Japanese people to take the supernatural out of its traditional setting. This paved the way for yōkai as consumer items and (3) allowed modern creators to fill the yōkai (consumer items) with nostalgia and reintroduce them as symbols of a lost and idealized past.

Nowadays most of the information is gathered through the internet, where a vast amount of data is being exchanged every second. However, most of the cyberspace users are not fully aware of the technological side of the Internet. One of the tools used on the Internet to ensure instant and informative service to users, are cookies, a small piece of collected data about user’s preferences. Data collected and combined from different cookies creates a serious danger to users’ privacy. The fact that users are not always aware of their data being collected even sharpens the problem of privacy protection on the Internet.
The purpose of this thesis was to examine the consent requirement for the use of tracking cookies in legal framework of European Union, United States of America and Lithuania and to find out if the use of tracking cookies without user consent interferes with users’ right to privacy.
In order to achieve the aim of this work, descriptive-interpretive research approach was used in the first part of thesis to analyse various concepts of privacy, defined in different scientific literature, as well as different types of cookies and their purpose. In the second part of thesis, normative-comparative approach was used to analyse various legal systems, their essential laws and principles, theoretical backgrounds and their requirements for the valid user consent intended for the use of cookies.

Tačiau didžioji interneto vartotojų dalis neturi žinių apie techninę interneto pusę ir grėsmes, kurios gali kilti jiems, jų teisei į privatumą ir duomenų apsaugai internete. Tarptautinė bendruomenė išreiškė susirūpinimą interneto vartotojų privatumo apsauga, Jungtinių Tautų Generalinė Asamblėja priėmė rezoliuciją 68/167 „Teisė į privatumą skaitmeniniame amžiuje“. Šia rezoliucija Jungtinės Tautos ragina valstybes atkreipti dėmesį į pavojus privatumui esančius interntete ir derinti savo įstatymus siekiant suteikti žmogaus teisių ir laisvių aapsaugą interneto vartotojams. Cette etude est consacree au "wasan", une tradition mathematique qui s'est developpee au japon a l'epoque d'edo(1600-1868). La these se compose de trois parties. La premiere partie dresse un apercu des principales tendances et orientations de cette tradition avant les profonds changements introduits par seki takakazu. Elle contient notamment une presentation de quatre manuels majeurs de la periode allant des annees 1620 aux annees 1670. Les quatres manuels etant le "jinkoki"(1627) le "jugairoku"(1639), le "sanso"(1663) et le "kokosanpoki"(1671). La deuxieme partie traite du contexte social, politique et culturel des travaux de seki et de sa contribution dans le domaine de l'algebre. The thesis is composed of three parts. The first part makes a rough sketh of the main trends and orientations of this tradition before the important changes introduced by seki takakazu. This part contains a presentation of four major handbooks published between 1625 and 1675. : the "jinkoki"(1627), the "jugairoku"(1639), the "sano"(1663) and the kokonsanpoki". The second part deals with the intellectual, social and political background of seki's work and his achievement in the field of albgebra. The third part contains a full account of tabeke katahiro's activities as a scientific counsellor of the shogun, tokugawa yoshimune(1716-1745) and a detailed analysis of his work in the field of trogonometry and infinite series. The thesis also includes several translations of mathematical texts, especially the full translations of the "kaifukudai no ho" and the "kaiindai no ho" of seki takakazu

Palyginimui pateikiami sekimo tik žvilgsniu parametrai.In this work gaze and hand(working together) smooth pursuit target-dot, target-dot mowed by three velocities (5 10 20 degree/second). Obtained the smooth pursuit parameters: errors standart deviation, errors standart deviation after eliminated latency, latency time. For comparison the smooth pursuit was perform only gaze.

Daugeliui akcijų krentant, investicijos į akcijas tampa nepatraukliomis, o tai mažina ir pačios biržos likvidumą. Akcijų rinkose dominuojant meškoms vis daugiau investuotojų renkasi įvairias investavimo alternatyvas. Viena iš jų yra biržoje prekiaujami fondai, todėl reikia išsamiau susipažinti su šių fondų valdymu bei jų ypatybėmis ir pranašumais. Norint pasirinkti geriausią ETF fondų derinį sudarant investicinį portfelį reikia išanalizuoti ETF fondų rezultatus bei sukuriamą riziką bei nustatyti kaip šie fondai dera viename portfelyje ir kokį rezultatą gali duoti. Tyrimo objektas – Biržoje prekiaujami fondai (ETF) kaip rizikos mažinimo priemonė. Šio darbo tikslas – atlikti biržoje prekiaujamų fondų bei pagal sukurtą modelį suformuotų skirtingos rizikos portfelių iš ETF vertinimą. During the meltdown of most shares, share investments are becoming unattractive, it decreases the liquidity of the exchange itself. As bears are dominating in share markets, more and more investors choose various alternatives of investments. One of them is Exchange Traded Funds, therefore a closer acquaintance with the management, features and advantages of these funds is needed. In order to choose the best combination of ETF funds while forming an investment portfolio, analysis of ETF fund results and created risk is required, as well as determination of how these funds match in one portfolio and what result can be obtained. The object of research – Exchange Traded Funds, as means of risk decreasing. The purpose of this work – to perform evaluation of Exchange Traded Funds and different risks ETF portfolios that were formed according to the created model. Sects as a Threat Sects are both a social and religious phenomenon in contemporary society. We often hear about religiously motivated violence. Therefore, the phrase Sects as a threat is not a very suprising term. Often, there appears a situation in which sects threaten not only their members but also the whole society. Based on that, it is important to characterize them and determine where religiously motivated violence or extremism could be seen. In the introduction of the theoretical work I mention the basic terminology, explain the nature of religion and differentiate the basic religious faiths. Next, the new religious movements follow. Related to that is the legislation of churches and religious societies, their registration, rights, obligations and the like. Followingly, the religious movements which could represent a potential threat or raised public awareness by their controversial affairs are described. Despite the fact that Jehovah's Witnesses are a registered church, the thesis includes also them. I have mentioned them because the majority of respondents believe that they actually are a sect. A similar situation is with Satanism. Even they have church associations. At the same time, there sometimes happen situations, when extremist groups refer to satanism, for example after an act of violence. This phenomenon appears in far more religious movements. The next step is to sketch the negative influences of new religious movements on both an individual and society as a whole. After that the term Sect is described in detail. This part contains information on the features of particular sects, psychical manipulation methods and the ways of recruiting new members. Nevertheless, even the characteristics of sect leaders is included. What we cannot forget is the prevention of affecting of these dangerous groups and also help for the sect members who want to escape them. In the last part of the theoretical work I concentrate on The Czech Republic as a state. I describe the attitude of the state to churches and religious societies. Next, I aim at the religion policy of the state and how different govermental and nongovermental organizations participate in the problem. The thesis also deals with the rate of participation of different governmental offices, such as Home office and Culture office and also with the rate of participation of Police. The main goal of the thesis is the evaluation of the activity and threats of religious groups active both in the area of The Czech Republic and foreign countries as well. I have also dealt with a statistic qantitative research strategy using the questionaire research in both non-professional and professional public. The questions were asked in the areas possibly threatened by sects and mainly concerned the security risks of The Czech Republic related to the activities of sects. Next, the statistic evaluation of differences between non-professional and professional public awareness of the issue followed. The thesis also dealt with the analysis of available literature sources on the issue of sects. The result of the research shows a considerable difference between non-professional and professional public awareness. The thesis could be possibly used as a summary of possible risks originating in sects and can also serve as a source of information of the problem of religious groups.

This paper extends Husken (2012) Production and conflict rent-seeking models. Original Husken (2012) model, all production are required to pay truthfully. Further c- onsideration of this article, the production can be hidden, to observe if the production will be hidden and a total investment of rent-seeking influential, and thus affect the o- verall social welfare. In this paper, the construction of the first model to obtain a balanced solution, then by equilibrium do comparative static analysis, the conclusion that the following resul- ts: (1) When the increase seizures reduce the chance of deception hidden under equili- brium level, at the same time make the rent-seeking level increase and improve produ- ctivity and personal utility. (2) increasing fines in multiples of discovery and improve the chances of seizures have similar results, individual utility level will fall, thus redu- cing social welfare. (3) When the increase people, it will raise the equilibrium level of deception hidden, but to be so personal utility output and declining standards, but ca- n't determine the impact of the rent-seeking into effect.

Religious groups are societies, which aims to transcendental realities, but are realized among particular people and in particular time and society. It is interesting to study the relationship between society as a whole and these sub societies. One way of how the main society expresses its relationship towards religious groups, in a broader sense, is the registration of these groups as a state recognized religion. This status is desired and appreciated by the religious groups as it can change their position in public eyes. This thesis is a reflection about how difficult, and maybe even deceptive, is looking for criterions for registration or not registration. It is simply about describing borders between the terms ``sect{\crqq} and ``church{\crqq}. Intuitively, this border is something quite clear, but when we need to decide for or against registration, intuitive criterions by themselves are not enough.

The thesis deals with religious sects in Czechoslovakia in the 1950s. Firstly, it describes new religious movements, which occurred in Czechoslovakia in the first half of the 20th century, especially Jehovah's Witnesses, Adventism, Mormonism and the others. The key theme of this thesis is the phenomenon of religious sects. It explores a procedure of the government, Communist party of Czechoslovakia and State Security. The thesis deals also with the conscientious objection in Czechoslovakia in the 1950s. In conclusion the thesis tries to describe the image of religious sects in newspapers. It draws from various primary sources (National Archives of the Czech Republic, Security Services Archive, Military History Archive) and from various historiographical and sociological literature.

Diploma thesis "Sects, new religious movements and identity in Russia in the nineties of 20th century in the context of overall societal changes" deals with the problem of minority religions in Russia after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Terminological part explains the difference between the termin "sect" and "new religious movement", introductory historical overview outlines the role of sects in the history of Russia. The hub of the study lays in three large chapters. The first deals with the dynamics of the religious situation in relation to sects in the first half of the 90s, classifies them and names the main representants. The second part deals with concrete manifestations of changes in the middle of the decade, for example the process Yakunin versus Dvorkin or the change of legislation in 1997. The third part seeks answer to the question what was the underlying cause of changes in social and legal position of sects and finds the anspher in the sphere of national identity.

This doctoral thesis deals with the topic "Sects in a modern society and their influence on pupils" (school's options in the field of protecting pupils from the influence of sects). The main aim of the dissertation thesis is to map the sect issue and first of all the options of protection from their negative influences. To reach this aim, partial goals were set, which form the content structure of the thesis. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first two should theoretically support the experimental part of the thesis, in which a pedagogical research in form of questionnaires at elementary and grammar schools was done. The questionnaires were focused on the knowledge of pupils and students about sects, their awareness and on finding out the real range of education about sects. Contribution of the thesis itself, elaborated in the remaining chapters, lies in the evaluation of mutual relation and intersection of official and practical educational materials, assessment of the research on pupils' knowledge of the sect issue, assessment of the approach to protection of pupils and in a proposal of a new educational model for protecting pupils from the influences of sects, applicable in educational practices.

In my thesis, I tried to describe the process of transformation of premodern and modern society focusing on the creation and development of a new spirituality. In this context, I further came with a terminological definition of the phenomenon. Next the work deals with the sphere of the new spirituality in the form of sects. First of all sects are taken in generally, so that the whole theme can be dealt in its width. Subsequently, my work focuses on the topic of Jehovah`s Witnesses in attempt to determine the extent of this society as a sect. Within each chapter it is possible to see the sect in terms of attractiveness, dynamics of group functioning or for example dependence, manipulation and insecurity. In the chapter called Jehovah's Witnesses the overall picture is completed. This religious society is presented based on its historical development, description of the life of Jehovah's Witnesses members and also through its activities in the Czech Republic. abstract: ABSTRACT Moving beyond Form: Communicating Identity through Dance chronicles the journey of investigating my personal creative process in dance. This was a search for strategies to empower myself creatively, enabling me to move beyond the limitations of a prescribed form or style of dance and communicate ideas that were relevant to me. But on a deeper level, it was an exploration of my capacity to self-define through movement. The challenge led me to graduate school, international study with world-renowned choreographers and to the development of a holistic creative practice, Movement to Meaning. The aim of this creative practice is to express internal awareness through movement, thereby enabling the mover to dance from an internal reference point. In my research, I utilized Movement to Meaning to re-contextualize Sandia, a traditional-based dance that is indigenous to various Mande subgroups in West Africa. This project culminated in a choreographic presentation, Ten For Every Thousand, which was performed in October 2010 at the Nelson Fine Arts Center at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.Dissertation/Thesis
