Abstract:
The Sasak language is originally spoken by Sasak people in Lombok island. It has been identified to have five dialects. They are Kuto-kute dialect called Bayan Dialect (BD), Ngeto-ngete Dialect called Sembalun Dialect (SD), Ngeno-ngene dialect called Selaparang Dialect (SlD), Meno-mene dialect called Pejanggik Dialect (PD), and Meriak-meriku dialect called Pujut Dialect (PjD). This research is aimed at identifying and establishing how the Sasak language dialects are diversified from the mother language. The answer may be used to understand the way Sasak language speakers migrated around the island. The method used is comparative synchronic method. Data are about 450 words including 200 basic words from Swadesh. They are collected through interview and library research. The collected data are analyzed comparatively under the Tree Model Theory proposed by August Schleicher to see the relation among the dialects. Result of the analysis shows that Sasak language dialects are diversified through internal subgrouping model, the second model of Tree Model Theory. There are three internal subgroups generating the five Sasak language dialects. The first is protoBayan-Sembalun (PBS) that diversifies Bayan Dialect (BD) and Sembalun Dialect (SD) and second protoSelaparang-Pejanggik-Pujut (PSPP) that diversifies Selaparang Dialect (SlD) and protoPejanggik-Pujut (PPP). ProtoPejanggik-Pujut (PPP) then deversifies Pejanggik Dialect (PD) and Pujut Dialect (PjD). Model of the diversification of the Sasak language dialects reflects the way Sasak language speakers migrated from their first settlement around Bayan-Sembalun dialects area to other places around Sembalun and then moved to protoSelaparang-Pejanggik-Pujut dialect area and finally spread up into Selaparang dialect, Pejanggik dialect, and Pujut dialect area.Vertical analysis between the Sasak language dialects and protoAustronesian language, in case of lexical-phonological features, is in the line with the result of this research.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Tourism development brings both positive and negative social, economic and environmental impacts, and so does the development of rural tourism in Sembalun. Tourism is considered to have a great potential to improve people's welfare. The Sustainable Livelihood Framework is an instrument used to analyse the socio-economic impact of tourism development on the livelihood of local communities in Sembalun. This research is a replication of previous research in 2010 in Borobudur. This research compares the results of the impact analysis of heritage tourism in Borobudur with rural tourism in Sembalun on community livelihood based on the Sustainable Livelihood Framework instrument, not based on its different tourism attractions. In Sembalun the agricultural and tourism sectors support each other. The tourism sector has also proven to bring positive socio-economic impacts to local communities, such as promoting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) products, increasing training and financial supports, job creation, cultural preservation, and pride and feeling of becoming part of the tourism development in their village. Tourism is also considered to have a positive impact in improving people's welfare. The most commonly complained negative impacts are waste as well as concerns that the local culture will be eroded by foreign culture brought by tourists. Abstract:
The presence of several hot springs in Sembalun – Rinjani, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara is an indicator of geothermal potential in the area. This study aims to determine the characteristics of hot springs and cold springs and also the geothermal potential in Sembalun – Rinjani area using isotopes and geochemistry methods. The result of d18O and d2H stable isotopes analysis shows that most of the hot springs are meteoric water. Except for Kalak hot spring, other hot springs are a mixing product of meteoric water and andesitic water, with meteoric water composition between 64 to 87%. While 14C radioisotope suggests that the age of hot springs in the Sembalun area is about 10,000–12,000 years BP, the surrounding cold springs are mostly Modern except Jorong cold spring. The results of gas analysis (He, Ar, and Ne) also suggest the same origin of geothermal fluid, i.e., meteoric water origin. Based on chemical composition, Kalak hot spring is plotted as sulfate type water, while Sebau hot spring is plotted near mature water composition but not representing reservoir fluid due to its relatively low temperature and high Mg content. Na/K geothermometer calculation from Sembalun area shows that subsurface temperature is varied between 111-161 °C, while from Rinjani hot springs indicates higher subsurface temperature, i.e., 250-260 °C. It is estimated that reservoir fluid has high TDS with chloride content up to 4000 mg/L.

Abstract:
Understanding the evolution of the basin and tectonostratigraphy is the key role to reveal all geological aspects and potential hydrocarbon resources. Northeast Borneo has many hydrocarbon resources especially in Mahakam delta. However, Berau sub-basin remains unclear due to lack of G&G data. This paper presents a new concept of tectonostratigraphy and basin evolution based on subsurface and surface data integrated with thin section as well as radiolaria analysis to determine the age of such basin. Present-day aerogravity data shows that Berau sub-basin has two depocenters trending N-S and E-W and is bordered by Mangkalihat High (MKH) in the south and Rajang Embaluh Group (REG) in the west area. The metamorphic belt in REG area was formed in Early Jurassic (190 Ma), meanwhile in MKH, the ophiolite sequence was formed during Middle-Late Jurassic based on the presence of Holocrptocanium sp. in chert interbedded with mudstone. Based on the analysis, Berau sub-basin experienced subduction to obduction during Early Jurassic to Late Jurassic. In Cretaceous, Berau sub-basin is filled with conglomerate, shale and quartz sandstone of Telen and Benggara Fm. that has provenance from MKH and REG area. In Paleogene, major breakup unconformity can be seen on the seismic section and spread across the basin overlaid by shale with tuff of Eocene-Oligocene Sembakung Fm. The deposition of Sembakung Fm is controlled by extensional regime caused by subduction rollback in NW Borneo. The carbonate sequence has dominated this area in Late Oligocene to Early Miocene. Following the collision of Kuching high in Middle -Late Miocene, the deposition was dominated by deltaic sediment due to regional regression phase. In Plio-Pleistocene period, Berau sub-basin consists of carbonate and deltaic sediment from Domaring and Sajau Fm. In this time structural reactivation and inversion due to transpressional system with SE-NW pattern had controlled Berau sub-basin. Based on the evolution of Berau sub-basin, four hydrocarbon plays are identified in this paper, Mesozoic Play especially in Telen Fm, Paleogene Carbonate Play in Tabbalar & Birang Fm, Middle Miocene Play especially in Latih Fm and Plio-Pleistocene Play in Sajau Fm and Labanan Fm. Working petroleum system in the basin manifested by many oil seeps that can be found in surface and postmortem of several wells data shows commercial to sub-commercial and abundant oil and gas show.
