Therefore, it is important to conduct an analysis of off-page SEO strategies to determine their impact on website visibility and traffic. The method used in this research is qualitative, which involves in dept interview, observation and literature study. The research result shows the application of SEO techniques carried out by Kompas.com media is divided into two SEO, namely on page and off page SEO techniques. The application of on-page SEO techniques is applied in all news bodies, starting from the title, teaser (description), tagging, lead, sub title (heading), image and all of them must have SEO elements. the current era, people's interest in using the internet is getting higher, this is because internet media has become an informative tool that can be accessed at any time. In searching for information, internet users usually use search engines. One of them is Google, the most widely used search engine. To find information in the Google search engine, we must use keywords. With SEO technique the website will be easy to find. A website optimization based on keywords, its implementation using On-page SEO and Off-page SEO mechanisms. On-page SEO is changing web pages according to the target keywords. By paying attention to important elements such as meta title, meta description, heading tags, text format, alt text, content, robot.txt, and sitemap.xml. Off-page SEO is a method that is carried out outside the website, creating relevant backlinks to the targeted website. This method can make the website as an organic promotional medium that brings traffic. In this research applying the concept of SEO both On-page and Off-page, the results obtained that there was a significant increase in traffic and based on the results of using the User Acceptance Test (UAT) with five aspects of component quality, this SEO support system can help in analyzing the website and as many as 82.3% of respondents said that the system built was very good

This study compares websites that take live data into account using search engine optimization (SEO). A series of steps called search engine optimization can help a website rank highly in search engine results. Static websites and dynamic websites are two different types of websites. Static websites must have the necessary expertise in programming compatible with SEO. Whereas in dynamic websites, one can utilize readily available plugins/modules. The fundamental issue of all website holders is the lower level of page rank, congestion, utilization, and exposure of the website on the search engine. Here, the authors have studied the live data of four websites as the real-time data would indicate how the SEO strategy may be applied to website page rank, page difficulty removal, and brand query, etc. It is also necessary to choose relevant keywords on any website. The right keyword might assist to increase the brand query while also lowering the page difficulty both on and off the page. In order to calculate Off-page SEO, On-page SEO, and SEO Difficulty, the authors examined live data in this study and chose four well-known Indian university and institute websites for this study: www.caluniv.ac.in, www.jnu.ac.in, www.iima.ac.in, and www.iitb.ac.in. Using live data and SEO, the authors estimated the Off-page SEO, On-page SEO, and SEO Difficulty. It has been shown that the Off-page SEO of www.caluniv.ac.in is lower than that of www.jnu.ac.in, www.iima.ac.in, and www.iitb.ac.in by 9%, 7%, and 7%, respectively. On-page SEO is, in comparison, 4%, 1%, and 1% more. Every university has continued to keep up its own brand query. Additionally, www.caluniv.ac.in has slightly less SEO Difficulty compared to other websites. The final computed results have been displayed and compared.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengimplementasikan teknik Search Engine Optimization (SEO) dengan metode On Page dan off-page guna meningkatkan peringkat situs web canopybandung.com di hasil pencarian Google. SEO adalah serangkaian strategi yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan visibilitas situs web di mesin pencari, sehingga dapat menarik lebih banyak pengunjung. Metode yang digunakan meliputi optimasi On Page menggunakan Website Auditor, seperti pengaturan kata kunci, meta tags, alt text pada gambar, dan struktur URL, serta optimasi off-page melalui pembuatan backlink berkualitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus pada situs web canopybandung.com. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung terhadap performa situs web sebelum dan sesudah penerapan teknik SEO. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi teknik SEO yang tepat secara signifikan meningkatkan peringkat situs web di hasil pencarian Google, yang pada gilirannya meningkatkan jumlah pengunjung. Everyone uses the internet and a search engine (SE) to find what they need, making SE indispensable. Search engines are used to find any sort of information, which is why most companies want to rank well in SE result pages in order to reach their ideal clients. Without a website, companies nowadays have little chance of competing in the industry. As a consequence, the companies have prioritized and funded efforts to improve their website SE rankings. There are a plethora of methods that may be used to optimize a website for search engines. These methods come under a heading, namely, search engine optimization (SEO) by webmasters. In this research, we propose a methodology that combines on-page and off-page SEO strategies to improve user search and website ranking over SE. The proposed method outperforms in terms of website ranking, whereby a website ranking is improved from fifth to second position on Google SE. This significant shift illustrates that on and off page SEO can work together to boost a website visibility over SE result page.

On Page Factors -- factors occuring on web pages and Off Page Factors -- factors affecting web pages but occuring out of web pages. There is a case study at the end of this thesis. Acquired knowledge are used there. The case study is based on real-world project and includes detailed results and economical indicators.

Purpose – The purpose of this thesis is contributing to the research on the efficacy of backlinks originating from Web 2.0 blogs by designing a costless method for creating controllable backlinks to a website, solely with Web 2.0 blogs as a source of backlinks. The objective is to find out if such links can provide an effect on a website’s positions in the Google SERPs in 2020 and to hopefully contribute with a controllable link strategy that is available for any SEO practitioner regardless of their economic circumstances. The thesis provides answers to the two research questions: 1. What positions in the SERPs can an already existing website claim as a result of creating and implementing a link strategy that utilizes Web 2.0 blogs? 2. In context of implementing a link strategy, what practices must be considered for it to remain unpunished by Google in 2020? Method – The choice of research method, due to the nature of the project is Design Science Research (DSR), in which the designed artefact is observationally evaluated by conducting a field study. The artefact consists of four unique Web 2.0 blogs that each sent a backlink to the target website through qualitative blog posts following Google’s guidelines. Quantitative data was collected using SERPWatcher by Mangools, which tracked 29 keywords for 52 days, and was qualitatively analysed. Conclusions – There is a distinct relation between the improvement in keyword positions and the implementation of the artefact, leaving us with the conclusion that it is reasonable to believe that Web 2.0 blog backlinks can affect a website’s positions in the SERPs in the modern Google Search. More research experimenting with Web 2.0 blogs as the origin of backlinks must be conducted in order to truly affirm or deny this claim, as an evaluation on solely one website is insufficient. It can be concluded that the target website was not punished by Google after implementation. While their search algorithm may be complex and intelligent, it was not intelligent enough to punish our intentions of manipulating another website’s keyword positions via a link scheme. Passing through as legitimate may have been due to following E-A-T practices and acting natural, but this is mere speculation without comparisons with similar strategies that disregard these practices. Limitations – Rigorous testing and evaluation of the designed artefact and its components is very important when conducting research that employs DSR as a method. Due to time constraints, the lack of data points in form of websites the artefact has been tested on, as well as the absence of iterative design, partially denies the validity of the artefact since it does not meet the criteria of being rigorously tested. The data collected would be more impactful if keyword data were gathered many days before executing the artefact, as a pre-implementation period larger than 7 days would act as a reference point when evaluating the effect. It would also be ideal to track the effects post-implementation for a longer time period due to the slow nature of SEO. The practical part of this thesis is primarily created for the Bisnode company. However, it can be used everyone who wants to perform on-line webpages analysis of their competitors. In thesis are also used professional tools of Majestic company and SEOPowerSuite company. I got these for limited time after my e-mail corre-spondence with company´s support team. At the beginning of practical section the Bisnode company is introduced to readers, so that they might become familiar with it. After that, the analysis was performed and divided into 4 thematic areas based on Bisnode´s wish. I ana-lyzed strengths and weaknesses of monitored sites in each of this section so that the company can learn not only from their mistakes but also from mistakes of its rivals. I tried to analyze Competitive Intelligence term in detail in the theoretical part of thesis. In addition, this term is viewed from multiple angles (its history, reflection of its Czech trans-lation, ethic associated with the CI term or description CI as process). So, this thesis can be also a beneficial for readers that know this term but want get deeper knowledges.

The aim of this study is to examine whether search engine marketing may influence consumers’ brand awareness in terms of brand recall and brand recognition. The theoretical background derives from the definition and rationale of brand awareness. The study is further based on a theoretical outline of search engine marketing and its components. Furthermore, the Hierarchy of Effects Model is used in order to describe the steps a company may influence consumers in their purchase process. In order to capture consumers’ reasoning and behaviour in the search engine context, a two-way study approach was conducted. Firstly, by letting ten participants conduct a log related to their search engine behaviour, spanning for a period of ten days. Secondly, by conducting semi-structured interviews, using their logs as a base for further discussions. Results from this study show that search engine marketing can have an effect on consumers’ brand awareness by creating initial awareness or by building upon existing awareness. Secondly, in the context of unknown brands, the results show that it had a particular strong effect on brand recognition among the participants. Thirdly, it appeared that SEM can work as a gateway for brands and an enabler for building a brand attitude amongst its potential customers. Lastly, the website experience is a crucial step for brands in order to positively influence consumers in their purchase process.

Nos primórdios da teoria, Pauli apresentou um argumento refutando a ideia de introduzir um operador que descreva a probabilidade do instante em que ocorre a detecção. Mais tarde, Page e Wootters, motivados pelo fato de não se observar autoestados de superposição de energia, apresentaram um formalismo quântico não-relativista num espaço estendido em que espaço e tempo desempenham papéis equivalentes, sendo consistente com as indagações feitas por Pauli. Isso leva a uma descrição dada pela probabilidade condicional de encontrar uma partícula entre x e x + dx em relação ao tempo [t, t + dt] dado por outra partícula, chamada de partícula relógio. In the primordies of the theory, Pauli presented an argument refuting the idea of introducing an operator describing the probability of the instant in which the detection occurs. Later, Page and Wootters, motivated by the fact that one is not able to observe energy eigenstates superposition, presented a non-relativistic quantum formalism in an extended space in which space and time play equivalent roles, being consistent with Pauli´s inquiries. This leads to a description given by the conditional probability of finding a particle between x and x + dx in respect to the time [t, t + dt] given by another particle, called the clock particle. This dissertation consists in a review of the Page and Wootters proposal to address the time problem in quantum mechanics as well as a detailed analysis of this using recent tools introduced in the area of quantum information for the treatment of symmetries in physics.

The two related putative cytochrome c oxidase (COX) assembly factors HCC1 and HCC2 from Arabidopsis thaliana are Homologs of the yeast Copper Chaperones Sco1p and Sco2p. The hcc1 null mutation was previously shown to be embryo lethal while the disruption of the HCC2 gene function had no obvious effect on plant development, but increased the expression of stress-responsive genes. Both HCC1 and HCC2 contain a thioredoxin domain, but only HCC1 carries a Cu-binding motif also found in Sco1p and Sco2p. In order to investigate the physiological implications suggested by this difference, various hcc1 and hcc2 mutants were generated and analyzed. The lethality of the hcc1 knockout mutation was rescued by complementation with the HCC1 gene under the control of the embryo-specific promoter ABSCISIC ACID INSENSITIVE 3. However, the complemented seedlings did not grow into mature plants, underscoring the general importance of HCC1 for plant growth. The HCC2 homolog was shown to localize to mitochondria like HCC1, yet the function of HCC2 is evidently different, because two hcc2 knockout lines developed normally and exhibited only mild growth suppression compared with the wild type (WT). However, hcc2 knockouts were more sensitive to UV-B treatment than the WT. Complementation of the hcc2 knockout with HCC2 rescued the UV-B-sensitive phenotype. In agreement with this, exposure of wild-type plants to UV-B led to an increase of HCC2 transcripts. In order to corroborate a function of HCC1 and HCC2 in COX biogenesis, COX activity of hcc1 and hcc2 mutants was compared. While the loss of HCC2 function had no significant effect on COX activity, the disruption of one HCC1 gene copy was enough to suppress respiration by more than half compared with the WT. Therefore, we conclude that HCC1 is essential for COX function, most likely by delivering Cu to the catalytic center. HCC2, on the other hand, seems to be involved directly or indirectly in UV-B-stress responses.

Animal personality is found in a wide range of taxa, yet our knowledge of what maintains consistent among-individual variation in behaviour is still incomplete. Many personality traits are associated with fitness, leading to the expectation that, under selection, genetic (and among-individual) variation will be eroded over time. Several adaptive models have been developed in order to explain this maintenance of variation. These include state-dependence, state-behaviour feedback loops, life-history and behavioural coadaptation and the Pace of Life syndrome. These models represent good starting points for thinking about what drives and maintains among-individual variation in behaviour, and while empirical support for these models is mixed, one thing they do have in common is the assumption of a significant genetic basis underpinning personality traits. Significant heritability is required for an evolutionary response to selection and for among-individual variation to be adaptive. The univariate estimates of heritability for personality traits that are growing in the literature, while useful, are likely insufficient to predict how personality traits will respond to selection. This thesis uses the Trinidadian guppy, Poecilia reticulata, and other species to explore patterns of among-individual and genetic variation in personality traits, advocating the benefits of using multivariate perspectives throughout. Firstly, the among-individual covariance structure between measures of boldness, growth and metabolic rate are estimated in a test of the Pace of Life syndrome. Secondly, an appraisal of the relative strength of maternal and genetic effects on offspring personality and how it changes over ontogeny. Next, a comprehensive treatment of sexual dimorphism in behaviour and size followed by analysis of genotype-by-sex interactions using both univariate and multivariate methods. Finally, a comparative analysis of personality in 7 species of small fish, identifying the main axis of among-individual variation from a single assay in each and quantifying the phylogenetic signal.

Le maintien sur leurs sièges de ces évêques empêcherait la conclusion du Concordat, que Pie VII estime être un grand bien pour l’Église. In exchange, he demanded, among other things, that all the bishops then recognised by Rome be removed from office and replaced by others appointed by him. Pius VII was in a quandary. He did not know whether he had the right to dismiss bishops. He decided to ask them to resign, but nearly half of them refused. The retention of these bishops in their seats would prevent the conclusion of the Concordat, which Pius VII considered a great good for the Church. It was with this good in mind that he came to believe that he had the authority to dismiss the non-resigning bishops. This work aims at establishing the history of this decision. Among other things, we used a lot of unpublished archives, the most important of which are published here in their entirety. The thesis seeks to explain how the Holy See succeeded, under the Restoration, in getting the entire episcopate to accept his decision. It details the issues at stake, by that time and after. Ultimately, this text supports the thesis that, even if Pius VII took an unprecedented decision, he acted in conformity with the whole canonical tradition. This decision can, moreover, still give theological, canonical and even practical lessons today. In some respects, it could even be a source of inspiration for the Holy See in its relations with certain countries

AbstractWe developed a numerical simulation model called “OILPARI” to predict the transport of spilled oil on sea surfaces. Two types of OILPARI simulation systems were constructed: a stand-alone type (sa-OILPARI) improved as described herein and a web application type (net-OILPARI) developed in this study. As the ocean current and wind datasets have been improved to high-resolution datasets, sa-OILPARI must be improved to accommodate them. As another improvement, a past analysis mode is added to understand the oil transport trends according to the season and sea area and to perform calculations to reproduce past oil spill incidents. Significantly, in net-OILPARI, a client does not need to prepare any special software and can use the functionality by simply accessing a URL from a browser. The application provides an intuitive single-page graphical user interface. OILPARIs have been applied to many oil spill incidents in the past. Case studies are presented for an oil spill incident off the coast of Hachinohe, Japan, in August 2021 and a pumice stone (floating stone) transport simulation occurring in the Pacific Ocean in 2021.

In Geffrey Whitney’s A Choice of emblems (1586),a woodcut entitled “Dolor è medicina” depictsa “Purblinde dame” confronting a devious physician who during his regular visits to her home has been making off with her belongings.1 (See Figure 1, next page.) As the accom-panying short verse details, the woman discovers the theft precisely as the physician requests payment for having restored her sight. Turning the tables on him, she wittily responds to his demand by protesting that she remains impaired: “Bycause my sences either faile, or ells my eies bee blinde./For, where my house before was garnish’d everie nooke:/I, nowe can see no goodes at all, though rounde about I looke.” While the wood-cut captures this moment in which the duplicitous doctor is stopped in his tracks on the way out the door, Whitney’s verse about the woman’s failing vision produces a blind spot for his readers. Accordingly, early modern readers, prompted to see a house “un-garnished” of its goods may well have overlooked the one good remaining in place: the gracious, high-backed wooden chair in which the woman sits and surveys her otherwise empty domestic space. This “mistake” could arise not because chairs were so plentiful as to be invisible — in fact, a typical middling-level Eng-lish household likely contained only one or two chairs, usually made of oak, relying primarily on less costly benches, stools, and chests for seat-ing — but rather because Whitney’s verse, with its emphasis on disposses-sion, invites readers to view the chair as something other than a “goode.”2Divested of its status as a commodity, the chair exists primarily as the familiar and unobtrusive ally of the bereft woman. It exists, we might say, as her environment.

Maoism would work differently. Gathering all thought under the rubric of class struggle, the Maoist one big concept relied on repeated and all-enveloping political campaigns that would then fuel the movement toward political intensity. In both Mao and Pollock, however, we can see work driven by affective energy releases.

Chapter 2 looks at the etcetera, a mark which today functions solely as an abbreviation, indicating the continuation of properties in a list. But in the early modern period that was only one of its several meanings. As a noun and a verb, early modern etcetera represents the body and bawdy (sexual parts and activities, or physical functions such as urination or defecation). As a punctuation mark, it is a forerunner of the punctuation mark which indicates silence or interruption—the em-dash. As a rhetorical term, it represents silence or the form of breaking off known rhetorically as aposiopesis. As an abbreviation at the ends of lists in stage directions, or lines in actors’ parts, it represents stage action, inviting continuation of dialogue or listed props. These four categories are linked in that etcetera directs the eye to a vacancy. We can see why it might be associated with aposiopesis, a rhetorical figure that is paradoxically about silence.

The scope of this latest COM machine development project was to design and build a cost effective, high precision machine that would deterministically microgrind aspheric optical components in brittle optical glass materials. The ground surfaces had to be compatible with COM and QED-developed magnetorheological finishing processes. Moore Tool’s design goals were to design a machine dedicated to grinding aspheres up to 100mm in diameter in a production environment (see page 2 for machine specifications). With the new capabilities of this grinder and the magnetorheological finishing process, COM’s goal was to demonstrate a 10x reduction in the cost of asphere fabrication.

The platform contains a theoretical section in the form of several pages for each chapter available, with a significant number of related interactive simulations, movies, animations, virtual laboratory exercises, virtual study visits and realistic case studies. A significant background information related to historical development in the field, a display of existing components, nomenclature, multi-lingual dictionary and keywords, as well as questions for self-assessment and exams, an electronic communication group and a database of the user’s “successes and failures”, enhance the learning process in a significant way. The program is intended as a platform for an international collaboration on learning heat and power technology. It can be used both in the classroom as well as for self-studies and is as such well adapted for both university and post-university learning, both on and off campus. Tools to facilitate the introduction of new material exist. It is thus hoped that teachers at different universities can join forces and in a non-competitive way introduce material which can be shared, instead of developing similar simulations with somewhat different interfaces. The long-term goal of the learning platform is of course that users world-wide will have the possibility to access the best teaching material available from any specialist, and that this material will contain supplementary pedagogical information which will enhance the learning both at a university and a post-university level.

The sea level continues to rise at an accelerating pace. Events associated with extreme sea levels, which were rare in the past, will become more frequent in many places by 2050. This paper presents an analysis of coastal vulnerability to sea level rise conducted for the coast of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. The commonly used Coastal Vulnerability Index (CVI) was adapted for the indented Croatian coast and defined by five representative variables. The results show that only a small part of the county is vulnerable, but that the low-lying, populated areas are particularly vulnerable. Therefore, coastal flooding analyses were also made for the four most threatened settlements. A prerequisite for high-quality analyses is accurate geodetic data. In this case, the topographic data were three-dimensional point clouds. The flooding analyses show that the risk varies from place to place and that the implementation of adaptation measures requires an individual approach for each area at risk.

The "VLSI revolution" that is opening a new epoch in the electronics industry has made such remarkable progress that now 108 - 109 transistors can be fabricated on a single chip. VLSI microfabrication technologies are being pushed to new extremes by the DRAM community, thereby expediting research on 256 Mbit DRAMs using the 0.2 μm design rule. Giga-bit DRAMs and sophisticated ULSI processors using 0.1 μm Si-MOSFETs could possibly appear in the latter half of the 1990s. Recently, a very high speed ring oscillator has achieved 10 psec/gate for 77 K operation[1]. In the field of advanced bipolar transistors, a 64 GHz cut-off frequency has been reported[2]. These speeds are comparable to those of conventional quantum devices such as HEMTs (High electron mobility transistors)[3], JJs (Josephson junction devices)[4], and STrs (Superconducting transistors)[5] as shown in Fig. 1. In addition, device operation of 7-10 nm Si-MOSFETs (corresponding to 1-16 Tera-bit memories) [6] and single electron transistors (SET) [7] have been confirmed, which implies an increased importance for nano-meter fabrication technology. Si devices have a promising future, which will pave the way to the 21st century.

The current pace of innovation in computing makes it difficult to assume a fixed set of requirements for the whole life span of a system. Aggressive technology scaling also imposes additional constraints to modern hardware platforms. Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) reconfiguration can help systems cope with dynamic requirements such as performance and power, hardware defects due to Negative-Bias Temperature Instability (NBTI) and Process, Voltage and Temperature (PVT) variations, or application requirements unforeseen at design time. This work proposes a framework for reconfigurable components whereby the reconfiguration of a component implementation is performed transparently without user intervention. The reconfiguration process is confined in system's idle time without interfering with or being interfered by other activities occurring in the system or even peripherals performing I/O. A telecommunications switch was used as a case study for the deployment of reconfigurable components as well as the impact I/O interference has in the process and to explore non-functional trade-offs between implementations.

Mechanisms of retention of AKD are studied in terms of effects of cationic polymer additions, and roles of fines and carboxyl groups of pulp fibers. Handsheets were prepared from normal pulp and fines-free pulp under various conditions, and AKD contents in the handsheets were determined by pyrolysis-gas chromatography (PY-GC). The addition of cationic polymer (PAE) to pulp suspension was clearly effective in promoting AKD sizing for both cured and noncured handsheets, resulting from higher retention of AKD in the sheet by cationic PAE molecules. Potential measurement indicated that the originally cationic AKD emulsions come to have amphoteric surface charges in pulp suspension. The effective AKD retention by PAE may, therefore, be due to ionic bond formation between anionic sites of AKD emulsion surfaces and anionic pulp fibers or fines through cationic PAE molecules. The experiments using fines-free pulp showed that most of the added AKD was adsorbed on fines of beaten pulp. Blocking of carboxyl groups in pulp with nonionic methylamide groups resulted in nearly no sizing degrees and quite low AKD contents. Therefore, it is clear that dissociated carboxyl groups in pulp fibers and fines are the actual retention sites of AKD emulsion particles at the usual addition levels of AM Among chitosan salts and PAE used at 0.1-0.4 addition levels, chitosan AcOH salt gave the highest effect on AKD retention as well as sizing degrees. Good correlation between AKD contents and sizing degrees was obtained ; sizing behavior of AKD-sized handsheets was explainable in terms of their AKD contents determined by PY-GC, and thus retention of AKD is the significant first step for AKD sizing. Solid-state ,3C-NMR analysis of cellulase-treated residues of 13C-labelled AKD-sized handsheets showed that size components were present in papersheet as structures of either the original AKD or ketones, hydrolyzed AKD, without forming ß-ketoesters. SEM observations of AKD-sized handsheets indicated that the effect of curing on AKD sizing is explained in terms of melting of size molecules and their spreading over pulp fiber surfaces.

Recent reports paint an increasingly grimmer picture about the pace of climate change. While we cannot back off from efforts to reduce carbon, we now recognize it is too late to stop the coming changes. Therefore, it feels ethically necessary to modify our teaching strategies to train future architects early on not just how to build more sustainably, but also how to deal with harsh environmental conditions they will encounter in coming decades. This paper describes pedagogical revisions that link a second-year studio and a building technology course with the goal of introducing and applying principles of resilient design at both the ocean shore and a rural wooded setting to cover a range of possible strategies. The first project, SURF; Resilient Design on the Coast is sited on the ocean to focus on methods to combat the effects of rising seas, storm surge and hurricane-strength winds on a building; such as a raised concrete structure and impact resistant facades. The second project, TURF; Resilient Design in the Woods, is set on a natural site to focus on resilient design issues such as extreme temperatures, strong storms, drought and forest fire. Concurrent lectures in the tech course on passive heating and cooling, daylighting, thermal transfer and insulation, and non-combustible cladding and roofing materials support the studio project. To connect the 2 courses each student creates a color rendered wall detail that describes the resilient design strategies employed.

«The electronic magazine with rating system of an estimation of individual and collective work of students» (EM) is developed in document Microsoft Excel with use of macros. EM allows to automate all the calculated operations connected with estimation of amount scored by students in each form of the current control. EM provides automatic calculation of rating of the student with reflection of a maximum quantity of the points received in given educational group. The rating equal to “1” is assigned to the student who has got a maximum quantity of points for the certain date. For the other students the share of their points in this maximum size is indicated. The choice of an estimation is made in an alphabetic format according to requirements of the European translation system of test units for the international recognition of results of educational outcomes (ECTS - European Credit Transfer System), by use of a corresponding scale of an estimation. The list of students is placed on the first page of magazine and automatically displayed on all subsequent pages. For each page of magazine the optimal size of document printing is set with automatic enter of current date and time. Owing to accounting rate of complexity of task EM is the universal technical tool which can be used for any subject matter.

A significant drawback of implementing Internet banners is the small number of clicks (or often referred to as clickthroughs ) on the banners. Several factors have been altered so as to attract more web site visitors and then they would ultimately click on the banners. Two factors of this study’s interest are banner styles and banner presentations. A review of previous literature found no published work on comparison of clickthrough rates among these three banner styles (i.e., embedded, popup and layered styles) or between these two banner presentations (i.e., the presentations on a web page with and without animated background). This study hopes to fill this gap and offers insights into these two factor’s interaction effect on the clickthrough rate. This study recorded the clickthrough rate based on a field experiment in which banners with the three different styles were placed for 56 days on homepages of two sites: www.mbachula.info and it.acc.chula.ac.th. The former characterizes the presentation, of which the background is animated and the latter corresponds to the presentation, of which the background is not animated. Since the collected clickthrough rates are not normally distributed, the analysis had to be nonparametric. The result indicated that the embedded banner received the lowest clickthrough rate. While the difference of these rates on popup and on layered banners are not statistically different; it is however, significantly higher than the rate on the embedded banner. Regarding the clickthrough rates of banners on web pages with and without animated background, the difference was not statistically significant. Finally, because the analysis was not parametric, the test of interaction effect to the three banner styles and the two types of web pages on the clickthrough rate could not be statistically verified. Nevertheless, the exploration indicated a trace of the interaction effect. This study ‘s findings could extend understanding on this multidisciplinary knowledge of advertising and information technology. Practitioners may also apply the findings so as to maximize outcomes from their online campaigns.

In the 20 years since the IUCN Species Survival Commission (SSC) Shark Specialist Group’s (SSG) first status report (Sharks, Rays and Chimaeras: The Status of the Chondrichthyan Fishes), much has changed for sharks, rays and chimaeras. This report updates our understanding, and the scope of information in its 2,000-odd pages reflects the scale of these two decades of change. The breadth of research topics has expanded, mirroring the inclusion of a greater diversity of species, and attention is being trained on the emerging threats and the accelerating global changes to aquatic ecosystems. The diversity of researchers who contribute to science and conservation within the SSG network and beyond, and of the regions they investigate and endeavour to conserve, has grown exponentially: 353 contributors have compiled information for 10 (arbitrary) geopolitical regions, delving into information from 158 countries or jurisdictions with a coastline. The 2005 report heralded a sea change for sharks, rays and chimaeras, whose historical obscurity in policy, conservation and fisheries management was a serious concern as the pace of their declines threatened to outstrip our information for and attention to them. In this report, the increased focus that was called for is now apparent in the scale of work happening across the planet.

Large fires that produce plumes of smoke and other contaminants can cause harm to both people and the environment. To support UK emergency responders, the Met Office Environmental Monitoring and Response Centre (EMARC) provides dedicated weather advice and forecasts of the plume in the form of CHEmical METeorological (CHEMET) reports. The plume’s expected location, extent and relative air concentrations of pollutants are predicted using the Numerical Atmospheric-dispersion Modelling Environment (NAME), which simulates the transport and dispersion of pollutants using numerical weather prediction data. During major fires, air quality monitoring equipment is deployed to confirm the presence of elevated concentrations of contaminants. We use ground-level air concentration measurements from multiple events to evaluate the operational set-up of NAME. We investigate both the output averaging depth used to calculate air concentrations and the use of three optional NAME schemes that are designed to improve the representation of short-range dispersal dynamics: the near-source scheme, the plume-rise scheme, and the urban scheme. We find that using the current operational output averaging depth of 100 m produces model air concentrations that compare best to point observations at the surface, and that using the near-source and urban schemes further improves the fit. However, using these more computationally expensive schemes has little impact on the modelled location and extent of the plume, suggesting they may offer no advantage over using the current operational set-up to produce CHEMETs. Using the plume-rise scheme strongly influences the predicted plume location, extent and surface concentrations. Further work is needed to understand whether its application is appropriate for simulating plumes from fires. We conclude that the current operational set-up can be maintained while the significance of the impact the optional schemes have on CHEMET plume dispersal forecasts is considered further.

In recent years, payment systems have benefited from technological developments that have accelerated their evolution and adaptation to user needs. Payment systems ultimately depend on central bank money, and the debate about the advisability of updating the different ways of representing this asset has intensified recently. The purpose of this paper is to classify the alternatives available in the wholesale payments environment and identify their possible impact on financial markets. To do so, the motivations behind the creation of a unified large-value payment system in the Eurosystem are listed and analysed to see whether these drivers are still present today and to what extent they could be affected should any of the alternative systems identified become pervasive. A lo largo de los últimos años, los sistemas de pago se han visto beneficiados por los desarrollos tecnológicos, que han favorecido su evolución y adaptación a las necesidades de los usuarios. Dichas infraestructuras dependen en última instancia del dinero de banco central, y recientemente se ha intensificado el debate sobre la conveniencia de actualizar las distintas formas de representación de dicho activo. El objeto del presente documento es clasificar las distintas alternativas presentes en el ámbito de los pagos mayoristas e identificar el impacto que podrían tener en los mercados financieros. Para ello, se enumeran las motivaciones que impulsaron la creación de un sistema de grandes pagos unificado en el Eurosistema, y se analiza si dichas motivaciones siguen presentes en la actualidad y en qué medida podrían verse afectadas por una posible generalización de alguna de las alternativas identificadas en los sistemas de pago mayoristas en el Eurosistema.
