Background: Deviated Nasal Septum is one of the pronounced causes of Nasal Obstruction. A number of surgeries are being done since decades to alleviate symptoms. Recent advancement with endoscopes has revolutionized the surgical approach towards minimal invasive procedures. Aim: To analyze the post-op hospital stay and complications in headlight vs. endoscopic septoplasty Study design: The study is Cross sectional Randomized Control Trial. Place and duration of study: We conducted this study in ENT Unit I of Jinnah Hospital Lahore from June 2021 to January 2022. The follow up time was 2 months

Background: Nasal obstruction is the most common complaint in ENT practice and a deviated nasal septum is the most common cause of nasal obstruction. Different surgeries have been proposed for correction of deviated septum but septoplasty has been the procedure of choice. Septoplasty is a more conservative surgery with fewer complications and endoscopic septoplasty has become increasingly popular over the last few decades. Hence, this study is conducted to compare the pre‑ and post‑operative symptomatology, to evaluate the postoperative complications of conventional compa

ABSTRACT Introduction The study was conducted to asses if septoplasty is adequate for the management of chronic maxillary sinusitis. Chronic maxillary sinusitis is not uncommonly associated with deviated nasal septum (DNS). The randomized study was conducted on 40 cases of medically unmanageable and HRCT proven chronic maxillary sinusitis with DNS. Materials and methods The study was conducted in 40 cases of HRCT (PNS) proven chronic maxillary sinusitis which were not cured with medical treatment. The patients were divided randomly in two groups. Group A underwent septoplasty and group B septo

Abstract:
Abstract Endoscopic septoplasty is a rapidly evolving substitute to the customary “headlight” septoplasty. The primary advantage of the technique is the ability to reduce morbidity and postoperative swelling in isolated septal deviations by limiting the dissection to the area of the deviation. Other advantages include improved visualization, particularly in posterior septal deformities; improved surgical transition between septoplasty and sinus surgery and its use as an effective teaching tool. We present our experience with endoscopic septoplasty in a series of 19 patients.
