Abstract:
Collaborative systems are distributed multiple-user systems that are both concurrent and synchronized. An interesting research challenge is to develop a collaborative modeling system that offers all facilities of advanced modeling systems to its users, while at the same time providing them with the necessary coordination mechanisms that guarantee effective collaboration. To achieve this, a web-based collaborative feature modeling system, webSpiff, has been developed. It has a client-server architecture, with an advanced feature modeling system as a basis for the server, providing feature validation, multiple views and sophisticated visualization facilities. A careful distribution of the functionality between the server and the clients has resulted in a well-balanced system. On the one hand, the server offers all the functionality of the original feature modeling system. On the other hand, all desirable interactive modeling functionality is offered by the clients, ranging from display of feature model images to interactive model specification facilities. The architecture of webSpiff, the distribution of model data, the functionality of the server and the clients, and the communication mechanisms are described. It is shown that a good compromise between interactivity and network load has been achieved, and that indeed advanced feature modeling with a collaborative system is feasible.

Abstract:
The functionality of deploying databases on cloud computing environments, the main tools of the MS SQL SERVER DBMS for saving data in industrial databases, as well as the construction of a fault-tolerant database cluster on industrial servers are considered. All possible methods of data synchronization between the main and backup database, as well as methods of data backup to the cloud are considered. Researching the mechanisms of database synchronization and data backup, as well as the construction of a fault-tolerant cluster, will allow to consider in more detail the methods of data storage, synchronization with backup databases and the construction of a fault-tolerant cluster, synchronization of the main and backup databases. Mechanisms for synchronizing the main and backup database of the server are primarily considered. The technology with a high level of database availability is AlwaysOn, which in turn creates a cluster of two databases and allows you to build a fault-tolerant cluster in which two databases work simultaneously and are simultaneously synchronized with each other. Application of Transaction Log Shipping technology will automatically send backup copies of transaction logs from the source database to the source server instance in one or more databases. When using data synchronization technology, database servers work in Active – StandBy/ReadOnly mode, that is, the main database will always be the main one, and if necessary, switch to the backup database. Also, replication technology is a set of technologies for copying and distributing data and database objects between databases, as well as synchronizing databases to maintain consistency. Accordingly, the construction of a fault-tolerant database cluster will allow maintaining the functionality of the enterprise's information system even if one of the database servers completely loses its functionality.

Abstract:
Porins are outermembrane β-barrel proteins. They have varied biological functionality ranging from phage receptors, immunogenicity, pathogenicity to apoptosis. However, only a small number has been structurally and functionally characterised. A validation mechanism and a database of porins would be useful for target selection in proteomics and structural genomics work. Here we report a validation mechanism developed for membrane porins. A database server for porins, PRNDS, has been created containing experimentally proven porins and likely putative porins. Each porin is validated and ranked using a weighted scoring system developed based on six, structure and sequence based criteria. The server also predicts possible porins.

Abstract:
Server resource allocation and traffic management is a large area of research and business concern in order to ensure proper functionality and maintenance procedures. As a result, good server reliability models that can incorporate workload and traffic stress are necessary. This paper generalizes previous dynamic server reliability models for partitioned servers with clustered-task selection by relaxing the assumption that the correlation between channels in the server remain constant. We allow the correlation to vary deterministically with time, or as a function of a random process in discrete or continuous time. The explicit form of the survival function is derived in such cases. Numerical illustrations demonstrate the dangers of erroneously assuming independence among channels, which can lead to costly and unnecessary interventions in the system. In addition, we numerically explore the effects of a variable correlation on the survival function.

Abstract:
Back-End is a logical space with the functionality and operation of a software application or information system. Currently, SMA Xaverius 1 Palembang does not yet have a rest server-based application whose background can be accessed by a multi-platform rest client. Therefore, an application based on the RESTful rest api based back-end was built. This RESTful application or REST Server provides data to be accessed by the REST Client using data exchange in JSON format using the HTTP protocol built using the Laravel Framework. The Laravel framework provides a mechanism for building REST Servers via the Rest Server library that supports a full RESTful server implementation. The results of this research have been successful. A Laravel 7-based REST Server application has been built which provides endpoints in the form of json and status codes which can later be accessed by multi-platform rest clients. Through the application based on the back-end rest api, the results from the endpoint get a response from the server in the form of json that supports interoperability.

Abstract:
Abstract Semiconductor industry is moving towards more and more integration to provide more functionality and add value to the processor, thereby enabling better user experience. This integration can come in 3 categories: On-die integration, On-package integration, and On-board integration. On-board integration is the typical method being used for several generations and on-die and on-package integration architectures are getting more focus due to better performance and reduced power. The key vector to enable on-die/package architectures is reduced cost and maximum features for a given substrate and socket form factor. Silicon features are also moving at a faster pace compared to the board technology. This paper details a novel package (PoINT) architecture as well as the key technology challenges that were resolved to successfully enable this architecture.

Abstract:
Population aging is currently a tough problem of many countries. How to utilize modern technologies (including both information and medical technologies) to improve the service quality of health information is an important issue. Personal Health Record (PHR) could be regarded as a kind of health information records of individuals. A ciphertext policy attribute-based encryption (CP-ABE) is a cryptographic primitive for fine-grained access control of outsourced data in clouds. In order to enable patients to effectively store his medical records and PHR data in medical clouds, we propose an improved multi-user CP-ABE scheme with the functionality of keyword search which enables data users to seek for specific ciphertext in the cloud server by using a specific keyword. Additionally, we adopt an independent proxy server in the proposed system architecture to isolate the communication between clients and the cloud server, so as to prevent cloud servers from suffering direct attacks and also reduce the computational loading of cloud servers. Compared with the previous approach, the proposed encryption algorithm takes less running time and the ciphertext length is also relatively short. Moreover, the procedures of re-encryption and pre-decryption only require one exponentiation computation, respectively.

Abstract:
Purpose This paper aims to explore theme park visitors’ attitudes toward interacting with robots and investigated the qualities and functions of robotic servers and their influence on customers’ loyalty. A structural equation modeling approach was used to identify the complex relationships among variables in the entire network. Design/methodology/approach An online survey randomly assigned respondents to four different robotic server scenarios with robots that look like humans, animals, cartoon characters and anime features. The influence of robot types was investigated by manipulating robot type with four different pictures; however, the data were analyzed with a structural equation modeling model to identify the complex relationships rather than one-way analysis of variance to identify influences of robot types on different variables in separate analyzes. Findings The data collected from the 385 experienced theme park visitors revealed that perception of robots with human orientation and safety qualities had the strongest effect on the perceived robotic functionality, while emotions and co-creation qualities hardly had any effect on the perceived functionality, which included utilitarian rather than experiential functions such as excitement. Human orientation qualities, regardless of the specific robotic design, had a significant impact on perceived robotic functionality. The study also revealed a strong positive influence of perceived robotic functionality on customer loyalty. Originality/value The debate of whether or not to introduce and blend the growing robotic technology into the theme park experience is in its infancy. The study contributes to the theory of how robotics qualities and functions can augment customer loyalty.

There is a high probability of making the entire internet system unstable if any changes are made. Thus, we have created the experimental testbed, which functions similar to the existing live internet systems. It thus gives more flexibility to experiment and make technical and operational changes, without risking the stability and reliability of the internet system. In this paper, we have setup the entire DNS hierarchy starting from the root to the recursive servers with the top level domain (TLD) and domain authoritative name servers has been setup. This setup enables the queries to flow from the end user recursive servers to the domain authoritative server via the root as well as the TLD servers and provide the result to the end user. Abstract The work examines the effectiveness of the replication mechanism of the X production company database. In order to extend the functionality of the computer database of the enterprise, a model of its resource flow was created and an intensional and extensional part was created for a test database based on real enterprise resources. The model has been simplified to 3-rd normal form. The implementation was done in the MySQL database system. Two different operating systems were selected for testing: Windows and Linux. The database management system (DBMS) is working under the GPL license. MySQL DBMS offers many security mechanisms, and to secure the database, system of users permissions to objects have been selected and also an encryption of access passwords for users and connections to servers was used. A replication engine based on the binary log and the model “main server and backup server” was used to create a copy of the enterprise data.

Abstract:
This paper describes the approach to active liveness detection of the face using facial features and movements. The project aims to create a better method for detecting liveness in real-time on an application programming interface (API) server. The project is built using Python programming with the computer vision libraries OpenCV, dlib and MediaPipe and the deep learning library Tensorflow. There are five modules in active liveness detection progress related to different parts or movements on the face: headshakes, nodding, eye blinks, smiles, and mouths. The functionality of modules runs through face landmarking through dlib and MediaPipe and detection of face features through Tensorflow Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) trained in two different approaches: smile detection and eye-blink detection. The result of implementing face landmarking shows an accurate result through the pre-trained model of MediaPipe and the pre-trained parameter of the dlib 68 landmarking model. And more than 90% classification model accuracy in precision, recall, and f1-score for both trained CNNs in detecting smiles and eyes blinking through the Scikit-Learn classification report. In addition, the prototype API is also implemented using the Python RESTful API library, FastAPI, to test the detection functionality in the prototype Android application. The prototype result is outstanding, as the model excellently requests and retrieves from the API server. The possible research path gives the success of real-time detection on API servers for easy implementation of liveness detection on low-spec client devices.

Abstract:
This study contributes to improving Morocco's fish canning industry by integrating artificial intelligence (AI). The primary objective involves developing an AI and image processing-based system to monitor and guarantee canning process quality in the facility. It commenced with an IoT-enabled device capable of capturing and processing images, leading to the creation of an AI-driven system adept at accurately categorizing improperly crimped cans. Further advancements focused on reinforcing communication between IoT devices and servers housing individual client's neural network weights. These weights are vital, ensuring the functionality of our IoT device. The efficiency of the IoT device in categorizing cans relies on updated neural network weights from the Fog server, crucial for continual refinement and adaptation to diverse can shapes. Securing communication integrity between devices and the server is imperative to avoid disruptions in can classification, emphasizing the need for secure channels. In this paper, our key scientific contribution revolves around devising a security protocol founded on HMAC. This protocol guarantees authentication and preserves the integrity of neural network weights exchanged between Fog computing nodes and IoT devices. The innovative addition of a comprehensive dictionary within the Fog server significantly bolsters security measures, enhancing the overall safety between these interconnected entities.

Abstract:
Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) is an international standard to transfer, store, retrieve, print, process and display medical imaging information. It provides a standardized method to store medical images from many types of imaging devices. Typically, CT and MRI scans, which are composed of 2D slice images in DICOM format, can be inspected and analyzed with DICOM-compatible imaging software. Additionally, the DICOM format provides important information to assemble cross-sections into 3D volumetric datasets. Not many DICOM viewers are available for mobile platforms (smartphones and tablets), and most of them are 2D-based with limited functionality and user interaction. This paper reports on our efforts to design and implement a volumetric 3D DICOM viewer for mobile devices with real-time rendering, interaction, a full transfer function editor and server access capabilities. 3D DICOM image sets, either loaded from the device or downloaded from a remote server, can be rendered at up to 60 fps on Android devices. By connecting to our server, users can a) get pre-computed image quality metrics and organ segmentation results, and b) share their experience and synchronize views with other users on different platforms.

Abstract:
The divergence of windowing systems among modern Linux distributions and OSX is making the current mode of event display operations difficult to maintain. In order to continue to support the CMS experiment event display, Fireworks, we need to explore other options beyond the current distribution model of centrally built tarballs. C++-server web-client event display is a promising direction that can maintain the full functionality of Fireworks, including operation from the full experiment framework. In addition, it brings new features like multi-user debugging and the possibility to implement more elaborate visualization of non-event data through remote access to independent services. We have been exploring mainly in the direction of Fireworks-based C++ server and thin web-client user interface as it allows for a large degree of reuse of existing algorithms as well as for full access to CMS data formats and accompanying functions that are crucial for the correct physics interpretation of event data. This paper presents the basic architecture of the system, discusses the communication protocol between server and client, and shows existing prototypes that demonstrate the feasibility of advanced event display features.

Proxy servers used around the globe are typically graded and built for small businesses to large enterprises. This does not dismiss any of the current efforts to keep the general consumer of an electronic device safe from malicious websites or denying youth of obscene content. With the emergence of machine learning, we can utilize the power to have smart security instantiated around the population's everyday life. In this work, we present a simple solution of providing a web proxy to each user of mobile devices or any networked computer powered by a neural network. The idea is to have a proxy server to handle the functionality to allow safe websites to be rendered per request. When a website request is made and not identified in the pre-determined website database, the proxy server will utilize a trained neural network to determine whether or not to render that website. The neural network will be trained on a vast collection of sampled websites by category. The neural network needs to be trained constantly to improve decision making as new websites are visited.

Abstract— Recently, cloud computing has become a main standard for effective management and Internet services. Within a variety of cloud technology, without server calculation, it is distinguished from the evolution of cloud programming and reflects the range and growth of the cloud. Large Internet companies such as Amazon, Netflix, and LinkedIn are now using the cloud to develop, test, deploy, scale, operate, and update complex, multi-stage applications. Despite the flexibility and scalability, these companies face challenges in managing infrastructure costs due to increasing server load and space requirements. This is where serverless computing, introduced by AWS Lambda, offers a compelling solution. In this article, we explain how AWS Lambda works with other native AWS services through the development of a serverless chat application designed to scale seamlessly without the need for additional servers. The study also explores how AWS services such as S3, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch integrate with serverless technologies such as Lambda to improve the functionality and performance of applications in the cloud. Abstract:
The server is a computer program or a device that provides functionality for other programs or devices, called "clients". Generally, server computers have many resources that can be used by one or more clients through the network with specific permissions and requirements. Therefore, the server needs a monitoring system that can monitor server activity and notify if problems occur. This research focuses on developing a notification and question and answer system to connect the network admin with the monitoring system via chatbot. The developed chatbot can send notifications to the admin if an error occurs and can answer questions about the server's condition. The question and answer system developed implements natural language processing for Indonesian. The process of understanding questions is by classifying each word (token) based on language knowledge stored in the ontology. Then the classification results are processed by rule-base to produce conclusions to take monitoring data and compiled into answers. The test results show that the developed system can auto-notify if any problem in a server, and can answer questions by accuracy 95%.

Computer networks have evolved with the presence of cloud computing technology to accommodate the problem of inadequate computer devices and application services that are not integrated. USM (Universitas Semarang) which located in Indonesia is an educational institution that has implemented cloud computing technology using ROCCA (Roadmap for Cloud Computing Adoption) to accommodate the needs of internal application systems at this institution. The problem arises because the system administrator of the computer network is difficult to monitor the condition of the virtual server running because physically, the virtual server cannot be seen and touched. If there is a problem in one service, then the repair process takes a long time because there is not enough notification system to provide fast and detailed information about the condition of the virtual server running so that it will interfere with the quality of service from internal application system. The solution of these problems enhances the NMS (Network Monitoring System) functionality with notification system technology. Use PPDIOO method, this research will combine Pandora FMS and Telegram based on Android platform to implement a fast notification system in monitoring conditions virtual server resources which directly sent the message to the system administrator’s smartphone. The expectation of this research is the quality of internal application service at USM (Universitas Semarang) can be properly maintained.

Abstract:
Secure channel technologies alone can not provide the sufficient protection to the server data as long as the server can not guarantee the trustworthiness of the client program which accesses the server. The current Trusted Computing solution offers the guarantee on the trustworthiness of the client program by evaluating the integrity of all executable elements on the client platform. However, this solution may not work effectively in the monolithic legacy and commodity operating system. This paper considers the remote attestation of program execution on the untrusted legacy platform. We propose an architecture, which (1) collects the run-time information of the client program in a secure, scalable and OS-transparent way, and (2) reports to the remote server the collected run-time information of the client program in a lightweight and secure way. The architecture achieves these features by exploiting the system virtualization technology, the existing VMI tools, and the time stamping functionality in TCG TPM. We give the detailed description of the architecture.

Abstract:
In the conventional classroom, many obstacles hinder interaction between an instructor and students, such as limited class hours, fixed seating, and inadequate time for meetings after class. This work develops a novel multimedia mobile classroom feedback system (MMCFS) that instantly displays students' responses, such as class-related questions or answers to questions on a quiz, on the instructor's computer. This system reinforces interaction between instructors and students and improves learning efficiency. Its features are as follows: 1) automatic attendance checking; 2) in-class real-time evaluation; 3) improved willingness of students to raise questions; 4) immediate grade enquiring; 5) cross-platform functionality; 6) a virtual mobile classroom; 7) data integrity; 8) low construction cost; 9) group learning; and 10) learning process recording. This system uses a client-server and three-tiered architecture models as its framework. When a class is in progress, the instructor only requires a notebook computer with a web browser, while students need a mobile phone or equivalent mobile devices with built-in Java Platform, Micro Edition (J2ME) and wireless support. A web server and the rear-end database can be located outside the classroom when network connections are available. Attendance checking, conducting quizzes, instant question inquiring, and grade inquiring are the four primary functions of the system. A questionnaire is applied to evaluate system's interactivity, mobility, and functionality. The 105 subjects comprised two classes of undergraduate students. The questionnaire addresses interactivity, mobility, and functionality. Its purpose was to compare the proposed system and the interactive response system (IRS). Experimental results show that the proposed system has superior interactivity, mobility, and functionality.

Abstract:
To ensure that a software/hardware product is of sufficient quality and functionality, it is essential to conduct thorough testing and evaluations of the numerous individual software components that make up the application. Many different approaches exist for testing software, including combinatorial testing and covering arrays. Because of the difficulty of dealing with difficulties like a two-way combinatorial explosion, this brings up yet another problem: time. Using client-server architectures, this research introduces a parallel implementation of the TWGH algorithm. Many studies have been conducted to demonstrate the efficiency of this technique. The findings of this experiment were used to determine the increase in speed and compare it to the results obtained from the various methodologies. TWGH was shown to be a demonstration of scalability in studies involving speedups. When the recommended method was implemented, the rate of acceleration increased by eight.

Abstract:
Purpose – The physical server transition to virtualized infrastructure server have encountered crucial problems such as server consolidation, virtual machine (VM) performance, workload density, total cost of ownership (TCO), and return on investments (ROIs). In order to solve the problems mentioned above, the purpose of this paper is to perform the analysis of virtualized cloud server together with shared storage as well as the estimation of consolidation ratio and TCO/ROI in server virtualization. Design/methodology/approach – This paper introduces five distinct virtualized cloud computing servers (VCCSs), and provides the appropriate assessment to five well-known hypervisors built in VCCSs. The methodology the authors proposed in this paper will gives people an insight into the problem of physical server transition to virtualized infrastructure server. Findings – As a matter of fact, VM performance seems almost to achieve the same level, but the estimation of VM density and TCO/ROI are totally different among hypervisors. As a result, the authors have the recommendation to choose the hypervisor ESX server if you need a scheme with higher ROI and lower TCO. Alternatively, Proxmox VE would be the second choice if you like to save the initial investment at first and own a pretty well management interface at console. Research limitations/implications – In the performance analysis, instead of ESX 5.0, the authors adopted ESXi 5.0 that is free software, its function is limited, and does not have the full functionality of ESX server, such as: distributed resource scheduling, high availability, consolidated backup, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery. Moreover, this paper do not discuss the security problem on VCCS which is related to access control and cryptograph in VMs to be explored in the further work. Practical implications – In the process of virtualizing the network, ESX/ESXi has restrictions on the brand of the physical network card, only certain network cards can be detected by the VM. For instance: Intel and Broadcom network cards. The newer versions of ESXi 5.0.0 and above now support parts of Realtek series (Realtek 8186, Realtek 8169, and Realtek 8111E). Originality/value – How to precisely assess the hypervisor for server/desktop virtualization is also of hard question needed to deal with it crisply before deploying new IT with VCCS on site. The authors have utilized the VMware calculator and developed an approach to server/desktop consolidation, virtualization performance, VM density, TCO, and ROIs. As a result, in this paper the authors conducted a comprehensive approach to analyze five well-known hypervisors and will give the recommendation for IT manager to choose a right solution for server virtualization.

Hanna Hersop Course and Training Institute (LKP) is a non-formal educational institution that offers learning materials both offline and online. The obstacles faced by the institution during the implementation of the exam are still not optimal because they are still carried out using conventional methods, such as the use of paper and pencils, which causes the risk of cheating and security during the exam. So this study aims to implement an exam system on a virtual machine with an integrated security application using the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) with the Windows Server 2019 operating system as a server and client for the implementation of the exam test. The main objectives include security settings on the Windows Server OS in the virtual machine, login key encryption with the Rijndael algorithm, and creating an application to generate login keys. The development technique chosen is Rapid Application Development (RAD). The online exam application was developed using Microsoft ASP.NET Core for the time server, while the exam website uses PHP and JavaScript. The desktop application of the security system with RDP was created using the C# programming language. This system includes setting the exam time synchronized with the time server via the HTTP protocol, as well as restricting access to the exam website only in the virtual machine and limiting keyboard functionality during the exam. The results of the study show that the implementation of online exams on a virtual machine with an RDP security system can create a safe exam environment. This includes preventing cheating through restricting access to applications and the web, encrypting login keys to maintain confidentiality of information, and limiting keyboard functionality. This implementation also creates a better exam implementation structure with exam time synchronization, and a high level of user satisfaction. Respondents on the Likert scale showed satisfaction with the ease of use of the online exam security application implemented at LKP Hanna Hersop.

In order to provide interoperable services to a range of applications, platforms and devices a number of open source applications have been developed, many of them within the Apache Software Foundation. We analyse the way that these relate to research and development in education, which has also informed the functionality which they offer, providing a case study of the relationship between generic open source infrastructure development, and the discourse around pedagogy. The functionality foreseen for Personal Learning Environments and for the learning design approach to face-to-face learning is identified. The capabilities of Apache Wookie (incubating) W3C Widget Server are compared with this desired functionality, and the unfulfilled functionality identified with a particular focus on the need to support teachers control over their technological environment in response to emerging conditions in the classroom. The application store ('app store') is identified as a key software paradigm for meeting the unfulfilled functionality, and the ways in which it can support teaching practice are explored. A number of current software projects, and collaborations between them, are described which are contributing to providing a coherent infrastructure for building app stores. Finally some areas of functionality which remain pending future research and development are identified.

Abstract:
The educational resources based on MediaWiki that provide the basic tools needed in the learning process was analyzed. After researching the MediaWiki extensions in use, we found two Extension Mediawiki Quizzer and Extension IntraACL extensions that allowed us to deploy a MediaWiki-based testing system. The approbation of the constructed system showed advantages and disadvantages. It is simpler and easier to create test items using wiki text markup. In the test, questions and answers may contain formulas, pictures, diagrams. The test is generated randomly from the available tasks. The answer options are displayed in random order. The test results are saved after the completion of the test in the form of a table. Test results can be printed or exported. The disadvantage of the system was the possibility to create only one type of test task with the choice of one correct answer. The developers were able to correct this weakness by creating their own software module for testing – CUSPUWikiTests (EasyTests) based on MediawikiQuizzer. The new extension for the MediaWiki server CUSPUWikiTests fully retains the benefits of the built-in MediaWiki system and allows you to create different types of test items: open answer test, single choice test, multiple choice test, ordering test, matching test. The implementation of the development was carried in the Central Ukrainian State Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr Vynnуchenko. A new site, testing.cuspu.edu.ua, was created, supplementing wiki.cuspu.edu.ua with knowledge control tools. At first, MediaWikiQuizzer was chosen as a module for testing, but its functionality is to be small, a new extension for testing was created, with more functionality CUSPUWikiTests.
