The results of the long-term monitoring of vegetation and soil properties show that the forest settled on fallow lands does not have a degrading effect on the gray soils of fallow lands. Alkaline chernozems, meadow-chernozems and dark-colored floodplain areas of fallow lands are objects of study regarding the stability of soil fertility.
