Full textFör att undvika höga kostnader och förseningar är det viktigt att rätta fel och lösa problem så tidigt som möjligt under utvecklingsprocessen. Målet med detta examens arbete är att utveckla en dynamisk modell som beskriver de mekaniska rörelserna i en avancerad symaskin. Det huvudsakliga syftet är att utveckla en matematisk modell som kan sammankopplas med de övriga verktygen som används hos VSM Group. Utgångspunkt för simuleringen av de mekaniska delarna har varit att insignalen till modellen är den elektriska insignalen till el-motorn [V] och att utsignalerna är rörelsen på arm axeln [position, hastighet och acceleration]. Det är stora skillnader i friktionen beroende på i vilket läge armaxeln befinner sig i under en cykel (ett varv på symaskinens arm axel). Detta har studerats genom att mätningar på symaskinen har gjorts. Dessa friktionsmätningar har implementerats i två simulink modeller, en som konverterats ifrån CAD modellen av symaskinen och en modell som utgår ifrån ekvationer för en elmotor. En mer tillförlitlig modell fås från modellen utifrån elmotorn, eftersom den är mindre komplex. Symaskinen innehåller också många stegmotorer. VSM Group önskar också modeller för dessa. Två simulink modeller har tagits fram en med hjälp av matlab toolbox och en baserad på matematiska och fysikaliska samband. Symaskinens hastighet varierar något från gång till gång, beroende på temperatur och smörjning. Temperaturfaktorn har inte tagits med i dessa modeller. För att kompensera detta har modeller för varm respektive kall maskin tagits fram.

Of all household technologies, Singer sewing machine was chosen owing to its representative nature. Accordingly, the thesis provides a brief history of Singer Company in order to describe the major aspects of both the Singer Company and the sewing machine technology. It is argued that sewing machine technology became a convenient tool for women to transform their lives both economically and socially. The testimonies of the women interviewed for this thesis show that their technological skills were a significant part of their identity. Furthermore, middle-class Turkish women used this technology to meet middle class standards whenever they and their families aspired to.

Full textAs a result of the bachelor's degree project, a complex synthesis and analysis of the loops of the new structure for grinding sewing machines of the chain stitch class 876 was performed. The proposed structure of the mechanism has significant advantages over known analogues a straight section, which allows you to expand the technological performance of the sewing machine by possibly increasing the gap between the extreme needles and the width of the flat chain stitch. For the proposed design, the synthesis of the mechanism was performed, the analysis of the strength of parts, developed its design and technical documentation in accordance with GOST 2.120-73. A kinematic and force analysis of the mechanism was also performed in the Solid Works environment, which showed sufficient reliability of the developed mechanism. The results of this work can be used in the technology of manufacturing parts to sh. m. type 876 class, as well as for the development of new and improvement of existing equipment.

Разработана рациональная конструкция новой машины и механизмов петлителя, обеспечивающих реализацию 3х-ниточного зигзагообразного цепного стежка. Предложенная методика определения параметров механизма петлителей может быть применена для проектирования типовых механизмов петлителя. Для разработанной конструкции механизма петлителей были выполнены инженерные расчеты, а именно произведен кинематический, динамический анализ, выполнена проверка конструкции на прочность. Для предложенной конструкции швейной машины была разработана техническая документация, где на стадии проектирования "Эскизный проект ДСТУ ISO 2.119-73" были разработаны две конструкции швейной машины на базе швейной машины 26 кл. В разработке на стадии Технического проекта в соответствии с ДСТУ ISO 2.120-73 разработаны чертежи общего вида, сборочные и рабочие чертежи. Предоставлены рекомендации по обслуживанию швейной машины.
The work is devoted to the development of a sewing machine for a 3-thread zigzag chain stitch of a new structure with high characteristics. A rational design of a new machine and looper mechanisms has been developed, which ensure the implementation of a 3-thread zigzag chain stitch. The proposed method of determining the parameters of the looper mechanism can be used to design typical lookup mechanisms. For the developed design of the mechanism of loops engineering calculations were carried out, namely the kinematic, dynamic analysis is carried out, check of a design on durability is executed. Technical documentation was developed for the proposed design of the sewing machine, where at the design stage "Preliminary design of DSTU ISO 2.119-73" two designs of the sewing machine were developed on the basis of the sewing machine 26 class. In development at the stage of the Technical project in accordance with DSTU ISO 2.120-73 developed general drawings, assembly and working drawings. Recommendations for sewing machine maintenance are provided.

Full textМагистерский проект посвящен разработке новой структуры механизма перемещения материалов швейной машины, обеспечивающей автоматическое выполнение закрепки с определенным числом стежков. Оснащение мехатронной системой позволяет значительно повысить производительность труда и не требует высококвалифицированных работников. В работе проведен аналитический осмотр наиболее распространенных механизмов зубчатой рейки рычажной структуры, применяемых в челночных швейных машинах общего назначения. Предложенная новая структура механизма перемещения материалов швейной машины, имеющая сравнительно простоту конструкции, не требует значительных изменений в корпусе и может быть рекомендована для модернизации швейных машин линейного ряда типа 1022 М. Для предложенного механизма выполнено компьютерное моделирование механизма зубчатой рейки в среде SolidWorks. Разработанная 3D-модель механизма зубчатого рельса проверена на прочность из расчета максимальной величины давления в пневмоцилиндре 8 атм. Произведенный расчет показал правильность конструктивных предположений, поскольку минимальный коэффициент запаса прочности гораздо больше единицы. В работе была разработана необходимая техническая документация, позволяющая выполнить модернизацию действующего оборудования с мехатронным управлением механизма зубчатой рейки.
The master's project is devoted to the development of a new structure of the mechanism for moving materials of a sewing machine, which provides automatic back-tacking with a certain number of stitches. Equipping with a mechatronic system can significantly increase labor productivity and does not require highly skilled workers. In the work, an analytical examination of the most common gear rack mechanisms of a lever structure used in general-purpose shuttle sewing machines was carried out. The proposed new structure of the mechanism for moving materials of the sewing machine, which has a relatively simple design, does not require significant changes in the body and can be recommended for the modernization of sewing machines of the linear series type 1022 M. For the proposed mechanism, computer simulation of the gear rack mechanism was performed in the SolidWorks environment. The developed 3D model of the gear rail mechanism was tested for strength based on the maximum pressure in the pneumatic cylinder of 8 atm. The calculation performed showed the correctness of the design assumptions, since the minimum safety factor is much greater than one. The necessary technical documentation was developed in the work, allowing the modernization of existing equipment with mechatronic control of the gear rack mechanism.

Предлагаемый новый механизм обладает простотой выполнения и высокой технологичностью изготовления. Для предложенного механизма определены рациональные значения параметров и их соотношение, что обеспечивает компактную компоновку, описаны регулировка и переналадка. Также в работе разработана документация в соответствии с ГОСТ 2.120 -73 Технический проект: чертежник общего вида, сборочный чертеж, чертежи деталей механизма.
The work of development and research of functionally-perfect mechanisms of sewing machines for stitching types 301 and 101 is devoted to the analysis and improvement of mechanisms of shuttle and looper on a sewing machine 97 class. The designs of sewing machines on the basis of 97 classes are offered. provides stitching with double-thread shuttle stitch (type 301) and single-thread chain stitch (type 101). New technological opportunities allow to expand the technological characteristics of the sewing machine, which combines the operations of sewing machines of different classes. Simplicity of a design allows at insignificant modernization of the sewing machine of 97 classes. achieve the desired result and expand the technological characteristics of the sewing machine. The proposed new mechanism is easy to perform and high manufacturability. For the proposed mechanism, the rational values of the parameters and their ratio, which provides a compact layout, the regulation and adjustment are described. Also in the work the documentation according to GOST 2.120 -73 Technical project is developed: the drawing of the general look, the assembly drawing, drawings of details of the mechanism.

There are many choices of domestic sewing machines on the market, inexpensive, simple function, and all kinds of mechanical sewing machines come in a variety of feature. But its only available along with the high-priced electronic computer sewing machines. Intensiveness of sewing machines market competition, consumers have their own budgets to be considered, when the consumer has locked the level that determine their reason to purchase it, the sewing machines in the market seems to be quite similar, the outlook and shape of the product will be determined the course of buying decision made by the consumers, with the similar price range, with almost the same functionality, naturally the consumers would prefer purchasing product that design according to consumer's preferences machine. In comparison with the previous metal sewing machines and the sewing machines on the market today, the shape of the home sewing machine was found to be significantly different, understand the evolution of the home sewing machine, will let us discover the points of changes and modification on the sewing machine had become. What changes in shape are in line with the emergence of new features, which improvement of the texture that will attract consumer's attention. And these had led the idea of sorting out the development of shape development of the domestic sewing machines. This study uses the literature exploration method and the case study method to conduct research on the shape evolution of domestic sewing machines. Through the Internet collected pictures of home sewing machines produced by Singer sewing machine from 1851 to 2016, after deselecting the unusable samples, gained 60 samples and process it into front view and top view diagram, establish a household sewing machine shape comparison table according to the chronological method, record it according to its year of produce, sample original image, material, control mode, front view and top view diagram etc. The household sewing machine was disassembled into three parts: shape, color and other parts for shape evolution analysis. The shaped part is subdivided into the nose, the cantilever, the pillar and the base. The shape evolution of these four parts is inseparable from the influence of the material and the control mode. The appearance of the plastic case in 1965 was the shape of a watershed in evolution. In a situation where the function is more complicated, the internal structure of domestic sewing machines is also becoming more and more complex, it's volume is increasing gradually, therefore the volume of the plastic case also rises linearly. The nose, the cantilever, and the pillar are thicker than the metal era, and the contour lines are also very different. The color evolution of domestic sewing machines can't escape the huge influence of materials, the metal sewing machine in the metal era is mostly black with gold decorative patterns, according to the different ages, it can be divided into gorgeous and simple type. There was no guide decorative pattern for the suture on the fuselage during this era. After entering the plastic case era, the background color is mostly white. The decorative colors of the mix are very diverse, and a different color plate sewing machine with different models having the same shape and function as the casing, with this circumstances allow the consumer to have more personal choices under the conditions. The other parts are divided into three power cords, the pattern table, and controller. The power cord is a must-have item that appears after entering the electricity era. Its shape continues to the plastic case era after the change of the matching material. And it is still being used until today. The knob is a controller that appears only in the plastic case era. And it is the most commonly used controller in domestic sewing machines for plastic cases. It can be seen on domestic sewing machines in three different control modes. The button also appeared in the plastic case era. In addition to simply launching a single-function button, most of them come with lights and screens. The screen is electronically and the computer is equipped with the home sewing machine, more with buttons or knobs, there are also cases where you have touch function without having to match buttons. The size of the screen is related to what it displays. After analyzing the evolution of the various components, the research results obtained are as follows The appearance of new materials has significantly affected the shape change of domestic sewing machines. Noise diagnosis of a sewing machine was conducted in this study. The experiment was performed by partly covering the machine body by noise insulation blankets, taking parts out of the sewing machine, changing the operating speeds, adjusting the stroke of the needle, etc.. The results show that the correlation between the noise and the vibration of the machine body is low. Reducing the vibration levels does not decrease the node level simultaneously. Concluded from the experimental results, the noise is very possibly generated and accumulated by friction and collision between the parts inside the machine, as also indicated by the frequency spectrum of the noise. The suggested improvements are changing the clearance and fitness in the linkages and sliding pairs, and replacing the worm gearing of the oil supply pump. Installation of noise absorption or insulation materials inside the machine proved to have negligible effects on noise reduction because the compact design of the machine makes the enough coverage of the materials inside the machine infeasible.

In early 19th century, the sewing machine was innovated and introduced by manufacturers to household, which even precedes washing machine and television. Sewing is not only established firmly as domestic labor but often regarded as an significant part of women’s life history. Therefore, sewing machines embody particular cultural meanings into women’s role in society. In retrospect, we can see the sewing machine has a great historical significance for Taiwan’s economic development and women’s life experience. Through the interviews with female users in different periods, the research discovers that the sewing techniques they grasped, the technology they selected and adopted, and maintenance skills they possessed all renegotiated relationship between genders in traditional tech products. This phenomenon not only fully shows women’s agency and the possibility of self-empowerment but also reverses the notion that humans are enslaved by objects. The research approach of this technology in use echoes modern technology historian, David Edgerton’s saying. When approaches of design realized the significance of female users, they can rebuild the connection with the society, and further bring those issues of marginalization to the surface through the discussion with different theories. Although the development of sewing technology changed the original form of skill, it wouldn’t take place of the skill which has internalized users’ body. From the point of women’s practice of the sewing machine, it is the key that transcends the long-existed gender myth in the technology field, redefines the real value of sewing labor, and realizes the possibility of self-empowerment.

Nowadays, before the quilt sewing machines to sew a new sewing pattern, it is necessary to make a template which is of the same size as the sewing pattern in advance. Once the pattern is slightly modified, the template must be reworked and the cost for reworking is almost the same as manufacturing a new one. Since the template is bulky and its manufacturing cost is expensive, the biggest puzzles for the manufacturer to solve are those of how to reduce the cost of templates and how to manage them. Therefore, this study is aims at developing a template-free automatic quilt sewing machine. The hardware structure of the developed system consists of a human machine interface, a PAC2000 embedded controller, a set of dual-axis servo-positioning platform as well as quilt sewing needle and its driven actuator, and the developed software is designed by AUTOCAD package to draw the sewing patterns, MASTERCAD package to transform the graphic file to NC code and the transmission program to upload the NC code to PAC 2000 embedded controller. The main contribution of this study is that the developed quilt sewing machine can produce any type of sewing patterns without any sewing templates as long as the sewing pattern is well drawn in PC and the problems of cost down and management of templates is alleviated.

This work proposes a machine vision based servo controlled of a robotic sewing system. This robotic sewing system can achieve an automatic sewing process, and reduces the manpower requirement for the traditional industrial sewing machine. The robotic sewing system is equipped with a CCD camera, an X-Y table, and a lighting system. The first step, X-Y table will transfer the material components to the CCD field, and guide the material to the sewing zone with correct image measurement. Then, the stitching edge will be clearly illuminated by the lighting system with different angles, and the Harris corner detection algorithm is implemented to identify the characteristics from the CCD images automatically. Finally, the sewing path is planned according to the characteristics sequence points. The visual servo controlled sewing system can perform the sewing process correctly and compensate the deflection, deformation or dynamic movement of the sewn parts in real time. Experimental results in a variety of sewing materials will test the proposed system is capable of automatic sewing reliably.

It is popular to use household sewing machine for DIY in Europe, the United States and Japan for many years. This popular slowly spread to China and Southeast Asian markets due to China and Southeast Asia economic growth and the improvement of local people's life style. More and more people will buy household sewing machine to do DIY objects such as home accessories, bags, patchwork and clothes modification, because of the full implementation of the two-day weekend in Taiwan, the increase in the average income and household sewing machine prices civilian. This research based on household sewing machine use concept to study consumer use, consumer purchasing conveniently, consumer after-service and consumer purchasing intention satisfaction facet to make causal model structure to know what difference for each factor. This method gets data from survey to use Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis through AMOS. This study expects to understand the degree of recognition for household sewing machine consumer use and to provide marketing strategy suggestion for the household sewing machine manufacture and then to own brand sales. The conclusion of this research, consumer use has influence for consumer purchasing conveniently, consumer after-service and consumer purchasing intention satisfaction.

The Main function of the sewing machine main structure is to fix all parts and take the external force when sewing machine is running. The rigidity of the structure is required to maintain the relative position of parts, while maintaining the stability of sewing pattern. However, the rigidity is usually proportional to the weight of structure; the more rigid structure is, the higher cost of materials is. The target of study is to design the lightest main structure with enough rigidity. When consumers are using the sewing machine, they concern not only the convenience and various patterns, but also the noise and vibration. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the natural frequency of the main structure to prevent the occurrence of resonance when reduced the weight of the main structure. This study will use the finite element method to simulate the two major types of sewing Machine main structure - a single structure and the main structure of assembly (arm + bed + bas), stress and strain under load, and with the Taguchi method and optimum design of structures method to reduce structural weight, then weight the modified model for the natural frequency of mode analysis, testing whether the occurrence of resonance, and modify the structure as rigid conditions. Most of the ultimate goal, and the old model is similar to or better rigidity and alleviate the main structure of a single weight of 15%. Process simulation using this new design of the main structure of groups, the same as weight optimization. Finally, accumulated considerable experience and information, this optimization process applied on the innovative design of main structure to reduce duplication of amendments designed innovative design all of the new products and increase business and profits.

Innovation is the core value of enterprise development. For sustainable development, enterprise should create an enormous need of products by constantly supply of new ideas and variety. Innovation can be created in a systematized and planned way. This is also the reference source of TRIZ theory be utilized as a problem-solving approach and an innovative method to systematically simplify problems. In the field of sewing machine industry, most of core technology and patents are under Japan and European countries’ control. It is difficult for Taiwan's enterprises to enhance performance in product design without violating patents regulations. This study proposed to discuss design technology and life-cycle of sewing machines by using trend analysis of the U.S. Patent Development. With an interactive analysis of three cases study selected from the US patent databases and TRIZ theory contradiction matrixes to illustrate how TRIZ theory is in use as a complement to improve performance of patents development process. In process of patents development for sewing machine, TRIZ theory is not only built to assist designers to solve problems but also shortened design process, advanced design performance, and created industrial value.

The circuit control board in the computer embroidery sewing machine is the heart of sewing machines, and controls all operational functions of the machine and the circuit control of sensing detectors. Therefore, the accuracy of functions controlled by the control board is closely related to the life of machines. If the output control values differ from the original design values, it may cause dysfunction and incorrect operation of sewing machines, and will result in flaws in the computer embroidery. The main purpose of this study is based on a computer combined with LabVIEW software as a man-machine interface through the data acquisition card to measure the output of the functional specifications from the circuit control board. By using LabVIEW to conduct systematic analysis, the measured data is stored and analyzed to map out the actual values, which are compared with the standard values to carry out the statistical analysis of the malfunction rate of circuit control boards..In addition to this system being able to facilitate operation of the measurement, the designers of the control board study can make use of this system for a better understanding of board processes stability, and malfunction rate to thus solve the problems occurring more frequently.

The study of human machine interface usability on sewing machine has been neglected in the academic research in Taiwan, so that we still don’t have complete research data of that for the academic or professional area to consult effectively. Since the technology changing with each passing day, the mechanization interface type of sewing machine has gradually replaced by the microcomputer interface, and its function trends to be much more versatile. But to the user the usability of microcomputer sewing machine interface is not easy enough to comprehend and use as expected. Therefore, to have an easily comprehended and used user interface for microcomputer sewing machine is the most essential competitive advantage in the market. This research uses usability engineering test as the method to evaluate. There are three stages in the experiment. The first stage is the pretest to understand the basic problem and manipulative mold. The second stage is to set the typical model work tasks for "the original interface function experiment" and than reconstruct the related data. The final stage is to improve the interface and to set the typical model work tasks for “the redesign interface experiment”. The ones who have the experience of the traditional type of sewing machine were selected as the participants for the experiment. 15 participants took the usability test in stages two and three, and then the result data of the two stages were analyzed with “weighted mold valuation”. The redesign interface of this research increases the usability of the sewing machine effectively for the participants. These are the principles of redesign of this research: 1.use color, word or images to strengthen the visibility of operation of the select pattern system. 2.use colors to strengthen the pattern code of the heading to increase the connection between the function and the select pattern, and that can make the user reduce the mistake rate effectively. 3.the participants had strong interest to the memory function, but could not understand the Original sign of ‘M’ and ‘C’ immediately. Use the English characters, pictures and the instruction manual can increase the operation usability. 4.with the instruction manual, the user can easily accept the operation and the usability.

This study utilizes questionnaire and the computer simulation to assess the usibility of operational interface design of a new commercially computerized sewing machine (JANOME MC11000). Twenty experienced and 20 inexperienced users of sewing machines participated in this study. Their performances in simulated operation and identifying fundamentally functional icons on the machine body and in the touch screen program were evaluated. The icons in the touch screen program consistes of options in the main menu, submenus, detail functions, and setup key of detail functions. The results showed no differences between the experienced and inexperienced groups in identifing icons on the machine body and icons of the main-menu options. However, significant group differences were found in identifying icons of the submenus, detail functions, and setup key of detail functions. Furthermore, some icon graphics were easily confused with their letter meanings. In order to enhance the usibility of the interface design, this study suggests redesigning some icon graphics, applying Chinese interface, and providing help scrip or demonstration graphics to increase the rate of accurately identifying. Moreover, the recognition performance of some confusing functional icons can also be improved by providing adequate training courses.

Patent analysis and portfolio are of great value to an enterprise. R&D personnel can understand current information on R&D technology through analysis results, and observe the trends of the overall market area, technology categories and R&D technology. This research first gathered literature related to non-patented sewing machine for readers to understand the status of technological development in the sewing machine market and the company under study. In order to understand the major technologies and technology gaps of the overall industry and enterprises, retrieval and analysis were conducted through the patent database, and the degree of bias toward technology was determined according to the numerical value of the IPC (International Patent Classification) of sewing machine. Though major technologies and technology gaps are analyzed, with an R&D direction established through the above method, enterprises often have to undergo repeated structural calculation check as well as assembly trial and error because of insufficient basic technology to allow for great breakthrough and progress in technology gap, which is time consuming and requires excessive R&D costs, thus created an increase of bottlenecks in product development. Therefore, we carry out patent design around for existing patents of technologies with gaps, because patent design around is an improvement of technology that can strengthen technology gaps and enhance market competitiveness greatly.

It is an important key to make user use quickly and operate easily when using smart computerized embroidery sewing machine that illustrating the role of function, so the function graphic illustration of design has an important position. At present, research on smart computerized embroidery sewing machine, which for the function graphic illustration yet have completely information to be supplied academia or industry for an effective reference. Therefore, this study was conducted to intelligent computerized embroidery sewing machine function explore to interface icons. This study uses the way of questionnaires, research methods will be divided into three phases, the first phase of the study is to collect functional icon of object of study and sort out and coding, the object is three well-known international brands, and the function and performance are similar to machines type: " BERNINA B880," " JANOME MC15000," " BROTHER VM6200D " touch screen and the cabinet with the function keys are divided into these three functions: "basic functions," " sewing functions," " embroidery features"; the second stage is the production of a questionnaire and adjustment; the third stage is arranged the questionnaire statistics information and data, and classify the sample of questionnaire, compare four options for each question of the illustration, and analyze the proportion of less than 30% of the icon, and then classify more than 30% illustration in accordance with the classification of Rogers, and analyze them . The design department of the University student set up an experiment object, due to major in design department student has sensitivity for images, and has user of intuitiveness. So the results of this study found out that the basic function approve of BROTHER and JANOME with the most test objects; sewing function approve of BROTHER with the most test objects; and embroidery function approve of BERNINA with the most test objects, a variety of factories and stores designed to functional diagram level of understanding are highest in BERNINA; the lowest is JANOMEM, but there are still some features shown not clearly to communicated to the test object. According to sorted out intelligent computerized embroidery sewing machine is divided into four functional diagram modeling "similar icon," "the illustrated example," "symbolic icon" and "mandatory icons," which "similar icon" and "accounts for the most part," it is based on the general public natural experience, or the actual object or state as simplicity, subjects were high associative of these two types. Subjects were selected pattern element in keeping with functional graphic illustration, to incline sharp contrast between black and white and streamline pattern, and less use of text directly, but in needing to use the text circumstance, complete wording than the abbreviation to easy to understand, and it will be in accordance with past experience, apply to live without making use of the interface, or directly to the actual object to simplify and increase user functionality for the association. Abstract It has been more than a century since the first sewing machine was presented to the public. The technology of alloy die-casting process is improving constantly. The material of frame, main structure of sewing machine, was evolved from cast iron into aluminum alloy die-casting. Owing to the universal environmental consciousness, how to make efficiency use of limited resources and reduce the pollution and negative effect have become the most concern points for the up-to-date product research and development to reduce the production cost and increase the enterprise profit at the same time. The main function and purpose of frame is to fix the spare parts position of sewing machine. When the machine is activated and taken the external force, all the spare parts should be remained steady. Because the structure and rigidity of the frame will cause the crucial influence of failure mode and stability of stitches formation, the article adopted Taguchi Method to find out the most sensitive design parameters of the frame’s structure strength during the optimization process. After the proof of the test and verify experiment, taking the Taguchi optimal experiment factors as basis, in accordance with the increment ratio of control factors to the weight lessen and deformation, to continue the second period of optimization. In the end, making a CNC prototype for the optimal digital model which was generated by the computer simulation analysis, and then proceeding the substance experiment and measurement to verify the correctness of experiment plan and computer simulation analysis. After the comparison, the outcome of substance experiment and computer simulation analysis closely meet, and the variation is less than 2%. This study successfully lessened the weight of aluminum alloy usage and look after the sewing quality simultaneously. Key words:sewing machine , frame , optimization

The sewing machine product is a machine with complicated operation functions. The user needs to spend more time to learn the operation after purchase. Only the graphic description on the manual paper does not allow the user to understand the actual sewing operation process and skill. In order to solve the above problems, this study designs and implements a set of ZH Manual APP module by using the handheld mobile device with high portability and different media characteristics as the operating platform and the mobile advantages of the wireless network environment. By scanning the QR Code of the sewing machine product through the APP module, the operating instructions can be downloaded from the Internet. Such an APP module can not only improve the shortcomings of the paper manual, but also provide a good learning platform. In this study, 56 sewing teaching materials were built, which can be applied to 9 series. The output is used in 25 models of the manual QR Code, which confirms the feasibility and practicability of the APP module.

Taiwan used to be one of the biggest Household Sewing Machine export in the world. However, its export quantity had decreased sharply since the manufacturers moved their production to Chain in 2000. As a result, the role of Household Sewing Machine industry in Taiwan had transferred from a manufacturer to operation center. Therefore, this research surveyed the evaluation factor of human capital in Taiwan Household Sewing Machine industry. First of all, this research combined East and West theories of human capital evaluation factor and tried to analyze Taiwan Household Sewing Machine industry through the capacity of leadership, management of manpower, innovation, and the ability of information aspects. This questionnaire and survey was examined by 11 experts (Household Sewing Machine industry and human resource). The interviewee were listed in “TAIWAN SEWING MACHINE EXPORT ASSOCIATION” and qualified to this research. The traditional industries, formed by diverse small and medium sized enterprises, played an important role in creating the economic miracle in Taiwan. The plentiful but cheap labor of Taiwan attracted foreign businesses investing in sewing machine factories in the seventies. In two decades of manufacturing, the number of exported sewing machines from Taiwan ranked first place worldwide. However, as the expenses of labor and materials became unaffordable, some manufacturers moved their factories to other countries such as China or Vietnam where plentiful, cheap labor reduced production costs. Meanwhile, other manufacturers, who decided to stay in Taiwan, sought a new beginning by decreasing the prime cost, re-arranging the product’s transformation and labor distribution, improving their techniques, and positioning their new role among industries. As a result of full economic development, while the government left traditional industries behind, new businesses centered their hopes on high technology industries. Nevertheless, some high technology businesses currently seem fragile and about to topple in the quake of the global financial crisis, while traditional industries unexpectedly are standing stable. This case study provides a valuable example of successful transformation from traditional management to a brand new business style, which gets rid of the frame of tradition but yet combines cultural characteristics. The purpose of this case study is to understand how this sample company successfully transformed itself with the marketing strategies used during the process of company transformation. For this purpose, the author has studied this case by the participant observation research method since June 2009. The strategies used included three yearly goals, re-organization, company mission and vision establishment, international labor division development, sewing machine upgrading, computerization, product technique improvements, incorporating Chinese embroidery culture, creating added value, customer-centered emphasis, multi-promotions, participation in a university and industry liaison system, and cultural marketing. In addition, the author gathered the managers of the sample company to hold a focus group interview. Survey methods were also used with the employees and staff. The statistical of the research demonstrates that the strategies increase the achievement. The results of this study showcase the crucial elements of successful transformation and marketing strategies and provide a valuable contribution for further academic study and the education of other manufacturers.

The household sewing machine manufacturers in Taiwan were benefited by production outward migration from Japan and developed OEM (Original Engineering Manufacture) major business model at early stage. Restricted by lack of research ability, small facility scale, no commercial brands, patents hold by original factories of Japan, the barriers in technical upgrade and obstacles of selling to international market, the development for this industry is limited. Furthermore, many OEM factories in Taiwan were forced to migrate to China due to the increasing labor cost. In recent years, household sewing machine tends to high and low extremes in price. The low end (simplified) models face fierce competitions on cost by China suppliers and the margin of profit is low and declining. High end (advanced) models are with high additional value and with technical gaps but monopolized by European and Japanese factories. Case study is about how a famous Taiwanese household sewing machine manufacturer successfully hits advanced model market by integrating supply chains and R & D process at initial stage for developing concepts and designs for new products. Regarding the integrating process, conduct production and marketing opinions at early developing stages and successfully integrate different technologies with different industries. According to the improvement experience showed that: (1)The integrating of cross industry technique and development process improvement strengthens the abilities of developing high value products and international competitions. (2)Shorten the development schedule and re-utilize the knowledge through integrating and improvement of development process. The history of sewing machine has been more than 150 years. Which were extensively applied in food, clothing, housing, transportation, education, entertainment and other daily live. Sewing machines play an important role in implementing products production. Taiwan is the most massive export country in sewing machine. And Taichung is the most production base in the parts of sewing machine. The suppliers supply more than 300 major components of sewing machine, which are classified into seven types of producing technologies. Such as punch, bearing, powder metallurgy, aluminum, zinc alloy, molding, and electronics to achieve the tolerance in 0.1mm for the sewing products. The study is taking Z Company as an example to analyze its 120 various types of suppliers by SWOT, Delphi, AHP and supplier evaluation sheets to grade the suppliers with scores of A, B to C and classify them accordingly. The suppliers with grade B and C will be counseled to meet the target of grade A so as to provide material with stable quality and reasonable price to Z Company. And establish partnership between Z Company and suppliers by the process of counseling to meet the goal of sustainable development.

In the area of tranditional manufacturing industry, sewing machine is one of the textile machinery. Base on the different use of location and function, it can be separated to household sewing machine and industrial sewing machine. The features of household sewing machine are simple,easy operation and multi-function. it can be used and applied on tailor and sewing in general family. The industrial sewing machine is always used for special application with high speed, low noise, high precision, durable and stable features. Share of Taiwan sewing machine industry, there is about 70% on household sewing machine, and main product of industrial sewing machine is to produce overlock machine. In household sewing machine industry, the development is approached to low price competition and meets harsh challenge. To reduce the cost , to earn the profit, and to raise the competitiveness, Most enterprises start to enhance the constitution and change operation mode. In order to save energy, source, manpower of social requirements etc, enterprises also apply a lot of corrections to improve product quality to fit the change of business operation environment actively. The research is to apply the DMAIC process of 6 Sigma, combine the Taguchi method and orthogonal table L9( 34) to make an application of optimized and stable parallel processing parameter of sewing machine lower axle. Process capability Cpk increase 0.66 from to 1.58. The result of this study that after the instruction of this analysis and problem-solving model, not only improvement parallelism for the machining of shaft hole but also find optimization of process parameters in this case in order to get more efficient control process. That’s caused to reduce defective rate and cost in order to enhance competitiveness. The result of this study also provide to NC or special machine processing industry for their reference.
