Abstract:
The 1975 Shadian conflict was the largest religious rebellion of the Cultural Revolution, however, its political and social impacts have been neglected by both mainstream western scholars and the Chinese state-sponsored historical account. The event also has remained a controversial issue in China, in Yunnan, and of course in Shadian itself. The unresolved questions of the Shadian massacre and the inability of the Chinese government and local community to come to resolution are the focus of this thesis. By stressing the agency of the Shadian villagers and focusing on the interactions between the Shadian villagers and local authorities, it seeks to explain why the conflict between the Shadian Muslims and the government has persisted, even after the CCP redressed the massacre in 1979 and has changed its religious policies in order to cultivate Islamic revival in today’s Yunnan. Although the communist party-state has aimed to strengthen the socio-political stability of China by undertaking state-sponsored projects, such as rebuilding mosques, opening Islamic schools and so forth, to encourage public practice of Islam in Shadian; it maintains the Cultural Revolution-period mentality (radical secularism and atheism) and continues to deny Islamic religion as the very fundamental virtue that shapes the way the Shadian Muslims understand their religious—Muslim (rather than ethnic—the Hui) identities and the way in which they interact with the communist state. The conflicts and struggles between the Shadian Muslims and the CCP government in the Mao and the post-Mao period reflect the constant power dynamics between the local authorities’ denial of the religious centrality of Islam and the determination of Shadian villagers to define their ethnic identities based on Islam. While the CCP denies the religious motivation of the Shadian Muslim’s resistance by constantly regarding the villagers as reactionaries who always intended to make a disturbance, the Shadian villagers continues to emphasize their Muslim identities by regarding their resistance against the local authorities as religiously glorious and just, meaningful in just the sense that Geertz suggested. As a result, down to today, the mutual understanding between the CCP authorities and the Muslim communities therefore has not been established.

The research also aims to study the Pantheon of Divinities reported in the same text, as well as the texts discovered in Deir Alla, in Jordan, which also mention a character called Balaam, probably the same character appearing in the Book of Numbers 22-24. The development of this research has been motivated by the finding of concepts related to different divine names in the text and by the existing prophetism outside Israel. Moreover, the view of hermeneutic possibilities opening from the reading of that biblical text was important to the decision making. Until then, according to the general concept, Israel was the only country where the “true” prophets existed and where the veneration for a single God prevailed (monotheism). So, it has been interesting to realize, mainly through the reading of biblic books, that the prophetism was not restricted to Israel. The prophetism precedes the formation of ancient Israel and it already existed in the Middle East lands. Furthermore, the ancient Israel, when formed, took much time to become monotheist. After all, who is Balaam, son of Beor? We will study his personal characteristics and his mission. We will analyse Deir Alla texts about Balaam and his mediator character nature that stays between the divine and the human. He was presented as a great prophet, famous in the role of divine presages interpreter. We will also analyse the important issue related to Pantheon of Gods appearing in Balaan’s narrative, such as El, Elyon Elohim and Shaddai, beyond Yahweh. At first, we understand that the text got a connection with the society in which it was written. Using the exegetical methodology, we will proceed with the text analysis, trying to understand its contents in depth, but always considering its historical and social setting. It’s worth remembering here that the scenario was presented by a prophet who is not Israeli, but is the one that says gods’ blessings over Israel and also pronounces curses for Israel’s enemies. We realize that part of the text under study is presented from the perspective of Israel in relation to the other countries. Therefore, the research confirms that the chapters 22-24 of the Book of Numbers, besides showing us a non-Israeli prophet equal to the Bible’s prophets, it also evidences that the Pantheon of Divinities was worshiped by Israel. Moreover, their names were, in fact, epithets of the same divinity, in this case YHWH. The research still advocates the existence of a project of political and military domination of Israel over the surrounding nations.<br>A presente pesquisa busca avaliar exegeticamente o texto que se encontra na Bíblia, especificamente no livro de Números capítulos 22-24 que relata sobre um personagem conhecido como Balaão. A pesquisa tem também como objeto o estudo sobre o panteão de divindades relatado no mesmo texto, assim como também o estudo dos textos descobertos em Deir Alla, na Jordânia, que apresentam um personagem designado como Balaão, possivelmente o mesmo personagem de Nm 22-24. A motivação que levou ao desenvolvimento dessa pesquisa foi o fato de se ter deparado com os conceitos dos diversos nomes divinos exibidos no texto, além da questão do profetismo fora de Israel, assim como as possibilidades hermenêuticas que se abrem para a leitura desse texto bíblico. O conceito geral sempre foi o de que Israel era a única nação onde existiam “verdadeiros” profetas e uma adoração a um único Deus, o “monoteísmo”. O que despertou interesse foi perceber, especialmente por meio da leitura dos livros bíblicos, que o profetismo não se restringiu somente a Israel. Ele antecede à formação do antigo Israel e já existia no âmbito das terras do antigo Oriente Médio, e que Israel ainda demorou muito tempo para ser monoteísta. Quem é esse Balaão, filho de Beor? Estudaremos sobre sua pessoa e sua missão. Examinaremos os textos de Deir Alla sobre Balaão e sua natureza de personagem mediador entre o divino e o humano. Esse personagem é apresentado como um grande profeta e que era famoso como intérprete de presságios divinos. Analisaremos a importante questão sobre o panteão de deuses que são apresentados na narrativa de Balaão nomeados como: El, Elyon Elohim e Shaddai, além de Yahweh. Entendemos, a princípio, que o texto possui uma conexão com a sociedade na qual foi criado e usando da metodologia exegética, faremos uma análise da narrativa em questão, buscando compreender o sentido do texto, dentro de seu cenário histórico e social. Cenário este, que nos apresentou esse profeta, não israelita, que profere bênçãos dos deuses sobre Israel e que, além disso, pronuncia maldições sobre os inimigos desse mesmo Israel. Percebemos que, parte do texto pesquisado é apresentado sob a ótica de Israel sobre as outras nações. A pesquisa defende, portanto, que o texto de Nm 22-24, além de nos apresentar um profeta fora de Israel igual aos profetas da Bíblia, defende que, o panteão de divindades também era adorado por Israel e que tais nomes são epítetos de uma mesma divindade, no caso YHWH. Defende, também, um delineamento de um projeto de domínio político e militar de Israel sobre as nações circunvizinhas.

The study is conceived in the sphere of photographic and pictorial languages, in its sensitive and intellectual dimensions. Art and thought are understood as paths that intertwine with the image readings, their dialogues and their instances of production, composition, representation and signification - which are developed through artistic creation, their own languages and their practices, thus approaching the fields of visual poetics as knowledge production. The research’s object is formed by the work of the American photographer Brooke Shaden, through which we seek for connections between photography, its historical establishment in pictorialist and photomontage movements, and painting, specifically in the contributions of cubist, dadaist and surrealist art, with the concept of visual montage as the guiding thread. The knowledge about syntax and semantics of the visual language enables the acquisition of consciousness that is linked to reading and writing with images. In this way, the research travels from imagery thinking to the dialogue between visual codes, from poetics to metalinguistic production, exploring the dual role of researcher-artist. The understanding of contemporary photography as an interdisciplinary language leads us to an understanding of the notions of montage as a procedure and as a philosophy of art. Through the concepts of intersemiosis (in which language is produced) and intersemiotics (in which language is analyzed), the production of a photographic series results as the unfolding of scientific research, as creative, expressive and poetic articulation of possibilities among theoretical modes procedures.<br>A fotografia é uma forma de texto, que, no lugar de palavras, é composto por elementos visuais, os quais assumem diferentes formas e carregam possibilidades significativas diversas. O estudo é concebido na esfera das linguagens fotográfica e pictórica, em suas dimensões sensível e intelectual. Assim, arte e pensamento são compreendidos como caminhos que se entrelaçam às leituras imagéticas, seus diálogos e suas instâncias de produção, composição, representação e significação – os quais se desenvolvem por meio da criação artística, de suas linguagens próprias e de suas práticas, aproximando, dessa forma, os campos da poética visual à produção de conhecimento. O corpus da pesquisa é formado pelo trabalho da fotógrafa norte-americana Brooke Shaden, sobre o qual buscamos conexões entre a fotografia, seu estabelecimento histórico nos movimentos pictorialista e da fotomontagem, e a pintura, especificamente nas contribuições da arte cubista, dadaísta e surrealista, tendo como fio condutor o conceito de montagem visual. O conhecimento sobre sintaxe e semântica da linguagem imagética viabiliza a aquisição do caráter consciente que se atrela à leitura e à escrita com imagens. Dessa maneira, a pesquisa percorre do pensamento visual ao diálogo entre códigos imagéticos e da poética à produção metalinguística, explorando o duplo papel de pesquisadora-artista. A compreensão da fotografia contemporânea como linguagem interdisciplinar nos leva ao entendimento acerca das noções de montagem como procedimento e como filosofia da arte. Por meio de conceitos da intersemiose (em que se produz linguagem) e intersemiótica (em que se analisa a linguagem), a produção de uma série fotográfica resulta como desdobramento da pesquisa científica, como articulação criativa, expressiva e poética das possibilidades dentre os modos teóricos e procedimentais abordados.

碩士<br>嘉南藥理大學<br>環境工程與科學系<br>104<br>External shading is an important energy-saving method in architecture which can isolate sunlight as well as alter indoor thermal environment. Therefore, this study is to investigate the effects of building facilities for horizontal exterior shading on indoor thermal environment, comfort, dissatisfaction, and energy saving. The investigated sites of this study were classrooms of the campus buildings B with south-facing window at Chia Nan University of Pharmacy and Science, on the third floor (Class B305) and the fourth floor (Class B406). There are two stages in the surveys, during the first stage (Oct., 2014 to Feb., 2015), class B305 was equipped with external shading (depth ratio at 0.8), while the class B406 was not. The study purpose of this stage is to investigate the effect of horizontal exterior shading on room temperature. During the second stage (March, 2015 - May, 2015), class B406 was also applied external shading, but in depth ratio at 0.9, in order to discuss the effect of different depth ratio on horizontal external shading. This study measured three-dimensional space of indoor temperature, in order to analyze the profile of the indoor temperature. Three periods has been experimented, morning session (8:00~9:00), at noon time (11:00~12:00), and afternoon session (14:00~15:00), to observe changes in room temperature in different periods. Besides, the indoor humidity, the comfort of the indoor environment (Predicted Mean Vote, PMV) and dissatisfaction Predicted of Percentage Dissatisfied), PPD) index have as well as been experimented. During the first stage, 22 monitoring days have been conducted, results showed that the average temperature of the central cross section in class B305 was less than B406, especially at noon time. The average temperature of the central longitudinal section of the class B305 was 1.5~1.6 ℃ lower than B406. The average cross-sectional temperature in class B305 is about 1.6℃ lower than class B406. At noon time, horizontal section at the height of 200 cm in class B305 can be lower than the outdoor temperature of 2.8 ℃. The average temperature difference between the window side and the aisle side showed 0.1 ~ 0.5℃in class B305, which was significantly lower than 0.3 ~ 1.0℃in class B406. These results illustrated the effect of horizontal insulation of external shading. PMV in class B305 was 0.14 better than 0.37 in class B406, while the index of PPD was 10% in class B305 lower than 14% in class B406. A total of 11 monitoring days was experimented in the second stage. After class B406 being equipped with horizontal external shading, the temperature converted to be close to the temperature in B305. At noon, the figure of central longitudinal sectional and central cross section in class B305 were 0.1 ℃ ~ 0.2 ℃ lower than class B406. At noon, at the 200 cm height, class B406 compared to outdoor temperature difference was 2.7 ℃, while class B305 compared to outdoor temperature difference was 2.5 ℃. Results of temperature difference between window side and aisle side, 0.1 ~ 0.4 ℃ in class B305, 0.1 ~ 0.3 ℃ in B406. Both PMV in class B305 and class B406 were 0.80, while dissatisfaction (PPD) in class B305 was 28%, 27% in B406. In this study, measured-temperature was brought into heat transfer equation to estimate the flux of heat transfer from indoor to outdoor. Results showed that class with external shading can save 156 kw-hr/yr of electricity, which was 343 NT dollars per year and can reduce 225.83 kg C/yr of carbon dioxide. Horizontal external shading was in the simulation experiment, and not the long time monitoring. Through this study, better understandings were offered to the thermal changes of applying external shading for future standard to enhance efficiency of horizontal external shading.

En la presente tesis doctoral, nos propusimos reflexionar acerca de la potencialidad poética y dramatúrgica que los objetos adquieren en la escena, tomando como caso empírico el teatro de Paco Giménez, cuya dramaturgia se alimenta fundamentalmente del trabajo actoral. Concebimos nuestro problema centrándonos en los vínculos que se establecen entre el sujeto y el objeto. A partir de este planteamiento, desarrollamos un abordaje teórico del problema desde una perspectiva semiótica, que consideramos necesario enriquecer con aportes de la teoría teatral contemporánea, la sociología y la filosofía, profundizando en los postulados de autores que fueron clave para nosotros como Fischer-Lichte, Lehmann, Merleau-Ponty, Deleuze, Nancy y Maffesoli, entre otros. Seguidamente, avanzamos con el análisis cualitativo de cuatro espectáculos que configuraban nuestro corpus de estudio: Los que no fuimos (2007), Bloody Mary - Peligran los vasos (2008), Lomodrama (2011) y Pintó Sodoma (2017). Es importante recalcar el valor que cobraron para nuestra investigación las entrevistas que hicimos a Paco Giménez y a una muestra de actores y de actrices que habían participado en la creación de dichos espectáculos. A modo de síntesis, el análisis nos permitió describir la apertura semántica del objeto y vislumbrar la emergencia de múltiples significados que se desencadenan tanto en el proceso de creación, como en el transcurso del acontecimiento teatral.
