Alam, Ayesha. "MICROBIAL EXAMINATION OF MOULD AND YEAST IN FRUIT JUICES." Pakistan Journal of Agricultural Sciences 56, no. 03 (2019): 715–21. http://dx.doi.org/10.21162/pakjas/19.6157.

Abstract:
Fruit juices consists of water, carbohydrates, protein, lipids, acids, phenolics, dietary fibre and pigments that play a vivacious part in human nutrition, as they supply vitamins and essential minerals which are necessary growth factors in human diet and that can assist in maintenance of a good and healthy life. However due to their short shelf life these juices either glass bottles, plastic bottles, paper cups and plastic cups or unpacked can be contaminated by micro flora (especially mould and yeast) and can become a source of health hazard. Hence current study was focused to examine the diversity of mould and yeast contaminants in different types of packed and unpacked fruit juices (pH ranges from 3.35 to 4) of six different localities of Lahore such as Chouburji, Govt College of Science, Mozang, Muslim Town, Shadman and Iqbal town. The fungal contaminants (mould and yeast) isolated from their respective juices were cultured on malt extract agar as well as on potato dextrose agar under sterilized conditions. Serial dilution technique was used to compose the replicates in order to get viable count of micro flora in juices samples. Results indicated that in case of packed juices, the maximum fungal viable count was found in samples of Shadman (10x10-4 to 14x10-5 cfu/ml) while minimum was found in Chouburji samples (2x10-4 to 5x10-3 cfu/ml). The highest mould (803000 cfu/ml) in packed juices was found in locality of Mozang, but lowest value was observed in samples obtained from Muslim town i.e., 16000 cfu/ml. However, yeast contaminants were found in great concentrations in Shadman samples (71000 cfu/ml) and least count was found in locality of Iqbal town i.e., 200000 cfu/ml. For unpacked (fresh) juices the peak value of fungal viable count was observed in Shadman (8x10-5 to 14x10-5 and 18x10-5 ) while minimum was found in GCS (4x10-4 to 7x10-3 ). The uppermost value of mould count (1800000 cfu/ml was also observed in locality of Shadman and least mould (25000 cfu/ml) in unpacked juices was found in locality of GCS. Whereas maximum yeast i.e., 400000 cfu/ml was detected in locality of Shadman and least one 11000 cfu/ml was reported in Chouburji. Reported fungal species were Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus terreus, Penicilium digitatum, Curvularia americanna, Fusarium moniliforme, Alterneria alternate and Saccharomyces cerevisae. Results indicated that mould and yeast (fungal) count is much more standard tolerable range (102 to 103 cfu/ml) hence this negligence and unawareness can lead to serious health damage of consumers

INTRODUCTION: Basic life support is level of medical care which could be provided pre clinically in any trauma condition before any specialized medical treatment could be provided. Studies have shown that survival in trauma increases markedly if person is provided pre hospital support with less the time elapsed between trauma and medical facility. This is more important in developing countries like Pakistan where general public awareness about BLS can provide good hand to compensate limited health budget and poly-trauma incidents. So rely upon general public provides a good hand in improving post trauma survival and thus strengthens health care steps. Objectives: To evaluate the availability of awareness about BLS and about acknowledgement of its importance. Study Setting And Design: Descriptive cross sectional study held in Shadman area Lahore. Materials &Method: 50 male subjects with age>15 years included in study & results analysed using SPSS. Results: Of 50 subjects, age of most (74%) was in range of 16-25 years and 80% knew about emergency phone number, 96% believe that in cases of emergency surrounding people should be called to attention toward the victim. 68% tried to help at least once in past but only 22% know about proper BLS procedures, people are highly willing (100%) to learn about BLS and think that it can improve survival and most preferable method they think is electronic media. Abstract:
The aim of this research work is to find the impact of the principals' instructional leadership practices on the performance of the teachers at the secondary school level in the selected areas of Lahore. The schools for the research work are selected areas of Lahore that consist of Allama Iqbal town, Samnabad, Icchra, Shah Jamal, Faisla Town, and the Shadman area of Lahore. The criteria of School selection for the data collection are that the schools must have at least 15 trained instructors, a minimum of 500 students, enough classrooms, and professional principals, enough computer and science labs, a playground, and they must have enough sports and science equipment. The primary data was collected from 250 secondary school teachers, which included 130 private school teachers and 120 public school teachers. Convenience sampling is used for the selection of the participants of the study. The data is collected by visiting the selected school with the help of a Likert scale paper instrument. The data of observed items collected and further seven factors of instructional leadership and one factor of teacher performance have been constructed. The findings of the study are indicated that instructional leadership practices have a significant and positive impact on the performance of teachers. The econometrics techniques in the form of descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, regression analysis, reliability analysis and the Kaiser-Mayer Olkin and Barlett's test Sphericity used in this work. The results of the study suggest that instructional leadership practices have a significant and positive impact on the performance of the teachers in the secondary schools of Lahore. The limitation of this research work is that this study is only limited to the selected areas of Lahore, and it is not generalised to all the secondary schools of Lahore. Future research must be focused on a mixed research approach because it will be more useful to get a complete understanding of the impact of instructional leadership on teachers' performance. Future research studies should be focused on the contextual factors, which include the school culture, motivation of the teachers, and community engagement relationship with the instructional leadership.Keywords:- Instructional Leadership; Convenience Sampling; Lahore; Secondary School Teachers; Allama Iqbal Town, Samnabad, Icchra, Shah Jamal, Faisla Town, Shadman.

Abstract:
Abstract The Pentateuch gives the fact that for the first time God's composite name is introduced and used in the Bible. One of the famous names of God is El-Shaddai where systematics experts always associate it with the power of God alone. The emergence of El-Shaddai in the Pentateuch provides the most significant theological message than any other part. This research seeks to explore that theological message. Using a topical approach to the Pentateuch text regarding the emergence of El-Shaddaí, several theological messages are produced: First, El-Shaddai is the One who is able to fulfill all His promises even though they seem impossible in the eyes of man (Gen. 17:1). Second, El-Shaddai is a source of blessing that will bless His people with good things (Gen. 28:3). Third, El-Shaddai is the One who definitely fulfills all His promises. His name is the guarantee of the fulfillment of what has been promised (Gen. 58:3; Ex. 6:2). Fourth, El-Shaddai will arrange all good things for the good of His own people. (43:14). Lastly, El-Shaddai will continue to protect His people from curses and will turn them into blessings (Num. 24:4, 16). God's miraculous providence will apply to the people who are faithful to Him.

Abstract:
Chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus) is the most widely domesticated animal worldwide. Food biosafety is a great concern for consumers, producers, and public health organizations around the world. The poultry sector contributes 3.1% to the GDP of Pakistan. Infections caused by bacteria and viruses in poultry pose a serious threat to consumer health and economic burden in Pakistan while accurate figures are still unknown due to several factors, including inadequate surveillance, management, monitoring, and infection control. The chicken samples were procured from Shadman, Moon, Karim Block, Tollinten, Jallo and Wapda Town meat market of Lahore, Pakistan. Overall, 63 bacterial strains were isolated from complex and selective media and further processed for characterization. The 16S rRNA gene sequencing of bacterial strains were exhibiting genetic similarity with Proteus, Shigella, Providencia, Escherichia, Citrobacter, Klebsiella, Myroides, Enterococcus, Serratia, Staphylococcus, Bacillus, Macrococcus and Kluyvera. Bacterial strains were evaluated for antibiotic susceptibility testing, swarming motility, and biochemical tests. Antibiotic susceptibility was tested by using discs of tetracycline, gentamycin, streptomycin and chloramphenicol. Bacterial strains were recorded as resistant to all antibiotics except chloramphenicol. It was confirmed that chicken meat was infested with potential opportunistic human pathogens. To overcome the foodborne illnesses and to control the microbial load, food safety measures should be taken by following the standard protocols. In Pakistan, slaughterhouse environment, their sanitary conditions, storage, and transportation may be responsible in spreading the pathogens to food products.
