Understanding the universe's shape is crucial for cosmology. Whether the shape is flat not only influences many other studies based on the assumption that the universe is flat but also helps people to build a better model to explain the evolution of the universe. This paper introduces several available methods to determine its flatness, focusing on the basic ideas and related theories. The paper mainly introduces the method of using the CMB's angular power spectrum to determine the universe's shape and gives the conclusion of a flat universe. Utilizing the lambda-CDM model, which suggests a ne

If the universe has a nontrivial shape (topology) the sky may show multiple correlated images of cosmic objects. These correlations can be couched in terms of distance correlations. We propose a statistical quantity which can be used to reveal the topological signature of any Robertson–Walker (RW) spacetime with nontrivial topology. We also show through computer-aided simulations how one can extract the topological signatures of flat, elliptic, and hyperbolic RW universes with nontrivial topology.

What happens to the most general closed oscillating universes in general relativity? We sketch the development of interest in cyclic universes from the early work of Friedmann and Tolman to modern variations introduced by the presence of a cosmological constant. Then we show what happens in the cyclic evolution of the most general closed anisotropic universes provided by the Mixmaster universe. We show that in the presence of entropy increase its cycles grow in size and age, increasingly approaching flatness. But these cycles also grow increasingly anisotropic at their expansion maxima. According to these two scales, the geometry of the universe has three possibilities namely, flat, open, or closed. The flat and open universe will have continual expansion. But the closed universe will turn around and collapse. If k is zero, the universe is flat, if it is greater than zero, it is closed and if k is less than zero the universe will be open. The question whether the observed properties of galaxies are imprinted by the initial conditions of their formation or determined by different evolutionary processes is still open. In the local Universe, more than 60% of stars reside in elliptical galaxies and bulges of lenticular and spiral galaxies. Thus, unveiling the paths of bulge formation and evolution ensures a better understanding of galaxies themselves. The current paradigm separates galactic bulges into two broad categories, namely classical and disk-like bulges. In this scenario, we focus on the description of the bulge component i

Current methods involve either manual annotation of the data (current ‘gold standard’); or establishing correspondences by using segmentation or registration algorithms; or using an information technique, Minimum Description Length (MDL), as an objective function that measures the utility of a model (the state-of-the-art). This approach makes the exploration of truss topologies that are not constrained to a pre-defined grid possible. This is consistent with the fact that firms have traditionally accounted for the vast majority of trade and, hence, examining their behavior allows for fully characterizing trade margins and assessing their determinants.
