Abstract:
The exporters of Indonesian and Thailand tire products have the same capability in price mark-ups in the Malaysian market. The price mark-up capability of tire exporters from Indonesia, Thailand and China is greater than the domestic tire industry in the Philippines. However, China has a greater share of tire exports in the Malaysian and Philippine markets and is likely related to China's ability to be able to increase the export composition of various types of tires. Indonesia needs to encourage the domestic tire industry to increase the production capacity of various types of tires through investment and relocation of the tire industry to Indonesia amid the downward trend in China's manufacturing industry. Need to develop tire products for the types of trucks, buses, tractors and heavy equipment that are often used in the construction, agriculture, mining and cargo transportation ports to enlarge market share in Malaysia and the Philippines because Indonesia has competitiveness from the aspect of raw materials. The potential export of various types of tires in the two export destination countries is a challenge to increase the number of exports of Indonesian tire products.

Abstract:
This article seeks to share our experience on the consequences of a poorly managed conflict and its impact on a healthcare institution. We further try to talk on what it takes to relocate, especially such a vital sector like cardiac surgery amidst the socio-economic and socio-political context in which the hospital happens to be situated. Bearing in mind that the promptness of a patient’s recovery in a healthcare facility depends immensely on how accurate the engineers were during the design and construction phase, how precise international standards are implemented in the various engineering sectors of the hospital is of capital importance. Following the Cameroonian mind set, wherein division of labor and meritocracy are usually far fetch realities, it is therefore of prime importance to choose experienced and qualified contractors, architects, project managers to take part in the implementation of healthcare projects. The process of relocating either temporarily or permanently some health services from a crisis stricken zone to a safer environment also demands a lot of tactfulness in decision making as well as personnel involvement. All personnels from the various sectors being relocated must work closely with the team leader such that all necessary equipment, consumables, surgical materials are put together in order to simplify logistics and even safeguard the logistical process.

Abstract:
Basis of market of national consumption is presently formed by non-redundant products. Reliability of these devices is wholly determined by the level of failure-free operation of their constituents. With the industrial products of the non-domestic use redundancy both in the repaired and non-repaired equipment is used on different levels: redundancy at the level of components, blocks and units on the whole, and also at the level of elements (deep fractional redundancy). To make a forecast on the share of products that fail during operation, one can know the probability of failure-free operation of the product for a certain time. The article gives the indicator of the probability of failure-free operation of the product – a quantifiable estimated value, which is calculated as the ratio of the undisclosed number of products to their total number. The graph characterizing the changes in the probability of failure-free operation of the products is given. It is assumed that the probability of failure-free operation of articles varies exponentially. The construction of an economic model based on the category of fail-safe products is considered. This model is built taking into account the condition that the product guarantees issued by the manufacturer should be correlated with the number of possible failures of the products during this time. The conclusion is made that the product reliability category is the only category of risk assessment of the manufacturer on the market when issuing guarantees for its products. The assumption is made that the price of improving the reliability can be different and depends on many circumstances, but always increase of the product reliability is associated with an increase of its cost. The problem is solved, due to the fact that some of the products supplied by the manufacturer to the market will fail. Thus, it is necessary to know the proportion of failed products, which is determined by the quality of manufacture and reliability of the product put in the process of its design and production. The graph of the dependence of the total costs for the production and operation of innovative products on the probability of their trouble-free operation is given. The main advantages of the proposed economic model are formulated.

Authors idea is to place all placemant in a room with area of 50 square meters (smart technology) - where you can move not only partitions, but also furniture, which can suit specific human needs. The curtains were expertly fitted into the interior of the Samt & Seide cafe by architects Mies van der Roet Lilly Reich, which was designed for Die Modeder Dame exhibition in Berlin. A space with 300 square meters was zoned with using silk and velvet curtains, which were divided according to their color and height. Examples of flexible space are WAarchi's architectural project: architects have successfully rethought the space of the first building of Taiwan's Chiao Tung University construction school. Also, the article outlines prospect development of adaptive design on architecture and historical background, show the results of the analysis of questions adaptive spaces in the context modern development of society. Studding thematic publications gave it possible to highlighting the main tools dimensional zoning in interior design. Often used by architects and designers: work with light (own lighting, navigation, and communication with the observer); sliding partitions (take up less space in placement and can be transform); color and material (divide space on functional zone); kinetic elements of equipment, which can change their position in space or shape/ Describe the areas of their used on based for examples from world architectural practice, provide them the grade.

Abstract:
Topicality. The increase in the level of capitalization of the economy is of strategic importance to Ukraine, because, firstly, there is a direct link between capitalization and competitiveness, and secondly, because the market transformation in Ukraine is inherently capitalization of the economy. All this necessitates the further study of the theoretical and methodological principles of capitalization of enterprises of the country as a whole and by types of activity. Aim and tasks. To consider the methodical principles of estimating capitalization of enterprises on the basis of cost (investment) approach and to evaluate it by types of activity for Ukrainian enterprises at actual and constant prices. Research results. An assessment of the real capitalization of enterprises as a state can be considered as a "passive" assessment and it can be implemented even if the enterprise does not work. Such an assessment has a limited scope and should be used for enterprises whose activities are based on the use of fixed assets (machines, equipment, buildings, etc.), in which the results of the production process depends not only on the available intellectual capital, but on the available physical capital, and where there are no significant intangible assets. At the same time, the use of a cost-effective approach to enterprises that are based on education, knowledge and skills of staff (companies engaged in consulting and software development, retail and distribution companies, real estate agencies, travel agencies, etc.) do not provide adequate an idea of the level of their capitalization. Accounting of assets of the enterprise in the balance sheet is carried out at the original cost. Exceptions are fixed assets, accounting for the original and residual value. Over time, such an assessment as a result of inflation, non-revaluation and other factors does not reflect the actual (actual) value of assets. Therefore, it is more appropriate to use the replacement value or the replacement value, which should be used to reproduce the same or create a similar asset. The growth in the residual value of fixed assets of Ukrainian enterprises in 2012-2017 is due to two factors: net income of fixed assets (the difference between the amount of fixed assets received and which have left); indexing In general, in Ukraine the growth of residual value of fixed assets of enterprises in actual prices is mainly due to their indexation (77 %). At the same time, in agriculture and trade, the main role played by the receipt of fixed assets, and in the transport sector, the residual value of fixed assets in enterprises at actual prices is almost 100 % due to their indexation. Negative trends occurred in relation to the share of own capital of enterprises of Ukraine, which decreased from 51.6 % in 2001 to 24.7 % in 2017. The same thing happened in agriculture and industry, and in construction and trade, it even got negative values. An analysis of the dynamics of assets of Ukrainian enterprises in the prices of 2012 indicates a tendency to reduce their value. In 2017, their value amounted to 93.5 % of the level in 2012, in industry - 93.1 % and in transport - 96.2 %. In trade and construction, the reduction was more significant and amounted to more than 20 %. A completely different situation was in agriculture, where in the period of 2012-2017 the assets of enterprises increased by more than 1.5 times. Conclusion. The assessment in actual prices reflects the current level of capitalization of enterprises. At the same time, due to inflation, the average level of which in 2014-2017 was about 20 %, makes it impossible to compare capitalization estimates for different years. In order to solve this problem, the evaluation of capitalization at constant prices was carried out, which showed that there was a decrease in the level of capitalization of enterprises in general in the country and in the main types of activity, the exception was agriculture, where the level of capitalization of enterprises increased more than 1.5 times. All this testifies to the negative processes in the country's economy, namely, the deindustrialization and domination of the raw materials industries.

Full text
Abstract:
Secondary markets have not historically possessed the characteristics necessary for market power to emerge, or effective product differentiation to be implemented. The potential effects of these characteristics on primary – secondary market interaction is generally not considered. The law of one price is expected to hold in secondary markets. By applying the hedonic technique to producer theory, and integrating the durability of the product directly into the profit maximizing conditions, potential differences in implicit prices between customer segments in the used bucket truck market are estimated. Applying weighted least squares to the hedonic equation, parameters were estimated to indicate whether differences in hedonic prices exist between customer segments in the secondary, utility construction equipment market. The hedonic approach accounted for differences in price due to physical characteristics, while underlying supply and demand conditions were accounted for using indicator variables for time. Estimated differences in the effects of physical characteristics on price, between industries, were identified using interaction terms. Results of the econometric estimation indicate that differences in physical product characteristics do not fully account for differences in price between customer segments in the secondary bucket truck market. If the law of one price can be violated in a secondary market, this could indicate market power. Future research on primary – secondary market interaction should consider the potential effects, if such market power does indeed exist.

Abstract:
Passenger share research of different transport models will help the transport sector to develop a more rational operating strategy and provide an important basis for the future transport planning and construction. The development of the Agent theory provides a new direction for the simulation of the passenger share. In this paper, we use the Agent theory combining with the Genetic Algorithms to simulate the passenger share of the four travel modes (the High-speed rail, the common rail, the highways and the civil aviation) in the ShangHai-NanJing transport line. First, we consider each passenger as an Agent according to the Agent theory, and then design the passenger’s travel choice and transform mechanism according to the passenger’s travel choice behavior. Second, this paper has used the genetic algorithm to design the passengers’ interaction mechanism under the interaction in the passengers’ travel choice, including the elimination, crossover and mutation mechanism. Third, we choose the five factors, such as Security, Convenience, Comfort, Ticket Price and Train speed to be the indexes to evaluate the passenger’s satisfaction and conducted a questionnaire survey in the ShangHai-NanJing transport Line. Based on this, this paper uses the entropy theory to get the weight of different types of travelers to different factors and establishes evaluation criteria for the passenger’s satisfaction. At last we use the dates that surveyed in the ShangHai-NanJing transport line to simulate the passenger share of the four transport models (the High-speed rail, the common rail, the highways and the civil aviation) and the characteristic of each type of passenger flow structure. Based on the result of the passenger share simulation, we have also analyzed the sensitivity of the five factors (Security, Convenience, Comfort, Ticket Price and Speed) that affect the passenger’s travel choice and researched how these travel factors affect the passengers’ travel choice and the passenger share of different travel modes.

Abstract:
Conventional methods for man-hour evaluation of purchase management include purchase package subtotal method and total purchase price proportion method, etc., however, these methods are limited to effectively analyze the man-hour of the procurement management in complicated industrial projects, such as nuclear power plants. Based on the experience of data collection in several nuclear power plant projects, a novel model for evaluating the equipment procurement management man-hour is proposed based on the Work Breaking-down Structure (WBS) in this paper. The unit standard man-hour for each WBS element is rigorous defined by statistical investigation of the data collection, then a set of specified adjust coefficients are applied to calculate the man-hour of the purchase contract management. The model is then analyzed and verified by a realistic equipment procurement contract, where the calculated results agree well with the practical experience. Moreover, the new model is employed to a nuclear power plant project in progress in China, both the man-hour of the equipment procurement management and the human resource demand are calculated to support the reasonable human resource arrangement for the entire construction period, which plays significant role in price quoting and cost control of procurement in Engineering-Procurement-Construction (EPC) projects. Finally, each result of a single-project obtained base on the new model can be accumulated for evaluating the multi-projects human resource demand and distribution.

Abstract:
Abstract This paper deals with the hydraulic oil consumption of mobile working machines. Different mobile working machines are going to be investigated by setting out their hydraulic oil consumption per hour. The substitutable amount of mineral by bio-based hydraulic oil is examined by an exemplary calculation for a construction project. The observations are intended to establish the working medium bio-based hydraulic oil on the lubricants market and to increase its use quantities, especially for mobile machines, with regard to environmental protection. Environmentally friendly lubricants and process materials are used in a wide variety of technical applications. In mobile machines in particular, efforts are being made to further establish bio-based lubricants. Due to unforeseeable accidents and leaks, a considerable amount of lubricants is released into the environment every year. This results in contamination of the affected environment. For this reason, contaminated ground, for example, has to be excavated refurbished after contact with hydraulic oil in order to return them to their original natural state. Bio-based hydraulic oils minimize this risk through their biodegradability and antitoxicity. Despite the proven performance of environmentally friendly hydraulic oil, the market share of biolubricants is stagnating at a constant and very low level. The majority of mobile machines use mineral oil, as working fluid in their hydraulic systems. To evaluate the substitution potential of mineral oil by bio-based oil in construction projects, various mobile machines are considered. In addition to widely used mobile machines like, for example excavators or wheel loaders, road construction equipment is also considered, due to a high hydraulic oil consumption resulting through heavy heat loads.

First the characteristic features of the Belgian production capabilities are given. The share of gas turbines, turbojets and already existing combined-cycle plants and their operation modes are emphasized. Then, alternative options to nuclear energy are presented, i.e. repowering of existing plants and construction of new combined-cycle plants. The potentialities of gas turbines and CC plants as well as their future in Belgium are investigated. Finally we discuss the equipment plan for the Belgian generation system proposed by the management committee of the electrical plant operators. From the results of our research about repowering, gas turbines and new CC plants, we derive recommendations for the future production means in Belgium.

Abstract:
Four Pratt and Whitney FT4C-1 Twin Pacs manufactured in 1971 and purchased new by an electric utility (Portland General Electric) were sold in 1986 to the City of Austin Electric Utility to provide 200,000 KW for Austin’s system peaking requirements. The equipment was refurbished and reinstalled for the City of Austin and was declared commercial in September, 1988 for a total installed price of $155/KW. The equipment was provided by Energy Services Inc. (ESI) with complete refurbishment and incorporation of state-of-the-art improvements. The base bid for the equipment included complete installation, check-out, start-up and training and was evaluated against competing new equipment bids for similar services. This paper, written by the user, discusses the utility decision to solicit bids for both major types of gas turbine equipment (heavy duty and aircraft-derivative), method of evaluation, key construction points, state-of-the-art improvements, and emissions test results.

Abstract:
We Energies’ Pleasant Prairie Power Plant (P4) is installing a wet flue gas desulfurization (WFGD) system on steam generating Units 1 and 2 for SO2 control and a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system on steam generating Unit 1 for NOx control. Unit 2 already has a SCR system that was installed in 2002. This retrofit project also includes installation of a new chimney, limestone and gypsum handling equipment, and wastewater treatment equipment. This environmental improvement project, now under way at P4, is part of the Company’s plan for meeting current and pending air quality improvement commitments and environmental regulations. P4 consists of two 617 MW Riley PC subcritical boilers firing PRB coal. The two units currently share a common chimney. These units were commissioned in the early to mid 80s. When the current project is completed, P4 will have the lowest SO2 and NOx emission rates of any coal fired Wisconsin power plant. The new equipment will be capable of reducing SO2 emissions by up to 95 percent and NOx emissions by up to 90 percent. The current schedule has Unit 1’s WFGD and SCR system on line by December of 2006 and Unit 2’s WFGD system on line by May of 2007. This paper will outline the execution plan used to launch this multi-million dollar project and to maintain its schedule. The paper will also review the technical drivers that lead to the selection and performance specifications of the WFGD and an overview of the major equipment parameters including the materials of construction chosen for this project.

Abstract:
This paper will discuss how the project team planned, designed and constructed a unique and innovative casing sleeve as one of the key solutions to overcome a major threat to the completion of a horizontal directional drilling (“HDD”) project (“Fraser River South Arm Crossing Upgrade Project” or “Fraser River Crossing”). In 2009 FortisBC Energy Inc. (“FortisBC”) started construction to upgrade its NPS 20 and NPS 24 pipeline crossings of the Fraser River, the largest river in the province of BC, Canada via HDD. Due to the poor surface geology at this location on the Fraser River, temporary surface casings were required on both sides of the crossing to get drilling activities into a formation suitable for conducting an HDD crossing. As a result, the Fraser River Crossing required an HDD rig to drill concurrently from either side of the crossing in order to create a continuous borehole (also known as an intersect crossing). During the pullback of the NPS 24 - 1.35 km crossing section, a major mechanical failure occurred when over 95% of the length had been pulled through. After multiple attempts to resume pullback by the HDD rigs and other onsite equipment were unsuccessful, the project team was left with the major challenge(s) of determining how else the crossing could be completed and the pipeline tied in on both sides of the river without incurring major business interruption in a busy industrial section of Richmond, BC. Moreover, FortisBC was faced with the possibility of having to abandon the project and the millions spent up to that point in time with no value. This paper will focus on how the project team overcame the challenge and mitigated long term operational issues that included maintaining adequate cathodic protection. Learn how the combined efforts of a multi-disciplined project team planned, designed, fabricated and ultimately successfully inserted an innovative casing sleeve, although unproven at the time and with its share of additional risks, after reviewing an extensive assessment of numerous alternatives as the optimum solution in order for FortisBC to finally complete the upgrade of its pipeline system.

Abstract:
This Paper describes the on-going efforts of finding the root-cause for the failures of high-energy (over 30,000 HP), high-pitch velocity (over 30,000 FPM) gear elements. These gear elements are presently operating in Oil and Gas Production Facilities. They are installed between the GT drivers and turbo-compressors. Turbo-compressors deliver high-pressure gas into the underground oil fields to enhance the oil production. The oldest Gas Compression Units were commissioned in 1995 and the latest in 1998. Since installation in 1995 at least 6 gear boxes experienced failures of the pinion (high speed gear) teeth. The Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of the pinion teeth was estimated around 34,000 operating hours. The costly shutdown of Gas Compression Units forced the management to seek advice within the company. The intent of this Paper is to share some field experiences and to present some corrective actions. The intent of this Paper is also to help Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in this case gear elements Manufacturers to develop better balance between cost, life and reliability. Sometimes the balance between these three parameters is difficult to maintain. Too often the gear elements Manufacturers are forced to compete on the price basis and as result the quality of the gear elements are sometimes compromised. In addition, several well-known gear elements Manufacturers stopped offering high energy, high-pitch velocity gear elements because they suffered serious failures of the gear elements on the test stand and also in the field.

Abstract:
Low-carbon steels are often used for materials in the construction of machines and equipment for agricultural. One of the most important factors constructional material is corrosion resistance, first of all in demanding animal environment. Equipment with low carbon steel can be easy join by quickly welding at a low construction price, but one with the serious problem in aggressive environment is their corrosion resistance. A few corrosion processes in crevices and awkward corners can be avoided at the design stage (low roughness parameters, round-section and other). But still the construction material is exposed to corrosion. Slurry is a mixture of dung and urine. The aggressive corrosive constituents in slurry are urea, uric acid, naturally excreted chloride and as well as ammonia or ammonium salts. The main aim of this research is to investigate corrosion resistance in different time (48, 96, 144, 192, 240, 288, 336 hours). For this used weight loss of test samples and its profile roughness. The research was conducted on low carbon steel in grade S235JR in natural animal slurry at 333 K. Corrosion tests confirmed that the research this steel in animal slurry as corrosive environments is characterized through proportionate to time corrosion process whose measure may be surface roughness. In industrial practice roughness parameters for all the research times can be used for determine the stage and size of steel corrosion.
