In recent decades, the current account deficit has become one of the most critical problems in the Turkish economy. The fact that the production structure of the Turkish economy is dependent on imports and that capital goods, semi-finished products and raw materials constitute the majority of total imports has led to the growth of this problem. The persistent deficit in the current account deficit makes its financing extremely important. To explain the funding of the current account deficit, the ARDL bounds test approach developed by Pesaran, Shin, and Smith (2001) is used in this study to ana

Abstract:
Erythrocyte indices have been used as the first indicator in screening for beta-thalassemia minor. However, iron deficiency in hemoglobinopathies can reduce the sensitivity of screening, and the spectrum of mutations of different hemoglobinopathies between populations will result in discontinuation of the results of different erythrocyte indices. The research objective in this study was to determine the description of the erythrocyte indices used to screen for beta-thalassemia trait in Ciamis. The research method used in this study was a quantitative descriptive, using a cross-sectional study,

We define $p$ -adic $\mathrm {BPS}$ or $p\mathrm {BPS}$ invariants for moduli spaces $\operatorname {M}_{\beta,\chi }$ of one-dimensional sheaves on del Pezzo and K3 surfaces by means of integration over a non-archimedean local field $F$ . Our definition relies on a canonical measure $\mu _{\rm can}$ on the $F$ -analytic manifold associated to $\operatorname {M}_{\beta,\chi }$ and the $p\mathrm {BPS}$ invariants are integrals of natural ${\mathbb {G}}_m$ gerbes with respect to $\mu _{\rm can}$ . A similar construction can be done for meromorphic and usual Higgs bundles on a curve. Our main the

The human microbiome exerts tremendous influence on maintaining a balance between human health and disease. High-throughput sequencing has enabled the study of microbial communities at an unprecedented resolution. Generation of massive amounts of sequencing data has also presented novel challenges to analyzing and visualizing data to make biologically relevant interpretations. We have developed an interactive Metagenome Data Analysis and Visualization (MetaDAVis) tool for 16S rRNA as well as the whole genome sequencing data analysis and visualization to address these challenges using an R Shin

Abstract Background: Trop2, trophoblast cell-surface antigen 2, is a type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein overexpressed in many solid tumors such as breast, lung, pancreatic, gastric, colon, urothelial cancer. Overexpression of Trop2 is associated with aggressive disease progression and poor prognosis. Recently, Trop2 targeting antibody-drug conjugate such as sacituzumab-govitecan (Trodelvy®) was approved for the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer and urothelial cancer (UC) patients. Tucked away in the Hebrew Bible at the end of 1 Samuel and then resumed near the end of 2 Samuel is a provocative tale recounting the final fate of Saul, Israel's first king. At the beginning of this two-part narrative (1 Sam 31:1), we find Saul atop Mount Gilboa, badly wounded by Philistine archers and nearly dead. Fearing the Philistine armies will rush upon him and continue the humiliation—perhaps by stabbing him repeatedly while still alive, as Saul suggests in 31:4, or something worse—Saul commits suicide. As the rest of the chapter recounts, upon finding his corpse, the enemy army abuses

We recently described the identification of BOS1 (Newman, A., J. Shim, and S. Ferro-Novick. 1990. Mol. Cell. Biol. 10:3405-3414.). BOS1 is a gene that in multiple copy suppresses the growth and secretion defect of bet1 and sec22, two mutants that disrupt transport from the ER to the Golgi complex in yeast. The ability of BOS1 to specifically suppress mutants blocked at a particular stage of the secretory pathway suggested that this gene encodes a protein that functions in this process. The experiments presented in this study support this hypothesis. Specifically, the BOS1 gene was found to be
