A shipyard is an industry engaged in the construction or repair of ships. A shipyard's ability to complete its production depends on the supply chain. Its suppliers supply all the equipment and materials needed for shipbuilding and maintenance. The shipbuilding sector's supply chain's performance level must be measured to determine how well the existing process flow works. The research was conducted at the PT Dock and a shipyard company in Maluku, Indonesia. The measurement integrates the SCOR and AHP models to determine the existing supply chain performance. A competitive advantage over other shipyards is extremely important in the high-stake shipbuilding industry. Typically, a competitiveness analysis of a shipyard measures productivity based on specific parameters, such as tonnes or compensated gross tons produced per consumed working hour. The authors of this paper consider identifying the technological level required to achieve this productivity as essential, including other information relevant for the shipbuilding process. Therefore, a methodology for determining the technological level of shipyards is proposed based on defined criteria and

Contemporaries cited the great wood reserves of the colony of New Netherland on the Hudson River as an excellent resource for shipbuilding. However, this remained a small industry during the colony’s Dutch period between 1624 and 1664. Ship repairs in New Netherland took off on a small scale: vessels calling at the colony were repaired with limited means or entirely new vessels were constructed if a ship was found to be irreparable. Skilled workers who could construct small boats were at least present in New Netherland around 1630. There is evidence for structural shipbuilding in the 1630s. In
