Abstract:
The exposition industry has developed rapidly in recent years. For exposition centers, exposition timetabling is a complicated problem. The timetables arranged by the administrators usually result in an imbalanced usage percentage between showgrounds and a low total usage percentage for all showgrounds. In this paper, we developed a decision support system that considers the characteristics of exposition timetabling. The proposed system applies ant colony optimization for determining the near-optimal timetable of expositions. The ants are grouped into teams representing multi-layer ant paths f

The event was abandoned early because of heavy rainfall. Twenty campers who became ill between 28 May and 3 June were confirmed as having E. coli O157 infection. Preliminary investigation did not suggest a food vehicle but did indicate environmental exposure at the camp as a risk factor. SUMMARYThe rate at which infectious diseases spread through farm animal populations depends both on individual disease characteristics and the opportunity for transmission via close contact. Data on the relationships affecting the contact structure of farm animal populations are, therefore, required to improve mathematical models for the spatial spread of farm animal diseases. This paper presents data on the contact network for agricultural shows in Great Britain, whereby a link between two shows occurs if they share common competitors in the sheep class. This chapter demonstrates how U.S. information officers devised plans to showcase the friendliness and sportsmanship of the U.S. Olympic team and encouraged private businesses to make the hosting cities a showground for U.S. enterprise and culture. In tandem with these efforts, U.S. propaganda depicted communist sport in a highly negative manner. Furthermore, in order to create and implement a propaganda strategy for the winter and summer Olympic festivals of 1952, the U.S. information program also facilitated cooperation with both the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and the Amateur Ath
