Thesis, 2008. http://ndltd.ncl.edu.tw/handle/53061956036619420189.

Abstract:
碩士
國立高雄海洋科技大學
漁業生產與管理研究所
96
Abstract This study aimed at understanding the relationship between the cognitions of safety attitudes and training effectiveness of the trainees who participated the Basic Safety Training in Deep Sea Fishery Research and Development Center, Fisheries Agency. Relevant literatures were collected at first to build the theoretical foundation for the research, and then adopted questionnaire method to demonstrate research hypotheses. The questionnaire included “Safety Attitudes Scales”, “Training Effectiveness Scales”, and “Basic Information”. A total of 392 valid samples were collected from 445 trainees. The method of data analysis included descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test, Pearson's product-moment correlations, one-way ANOVA, and multiple stepwise regression analysis. The research findings could be summarized as follows: 1. The trainees had the highest cognition in safety protection. 2. Educational degree, training program, and training motivation affected safety attitudes. 3. The trainees had positive attitudes on training effectiveness. Besides, the knowledge and skill improvement obtained the highest ranking. 4. The factors affected training effectiveness including educational degree, training program, and working experiences on the fishing boat. 5. There are positive correlations between Safety attitudes and training effectiveness and the former could predict the latter. The results suggest that we have to reinforce the performance of basic safety training, the assessment of training effect, the promotion of training course, and the training planning in the future. Richards, Carol Cecilia. "My journey towards becoming a psychotherapist: an autoethnographic study." Diss., 2003. http://hdl.handle.net/10500/2242.

Full text
Abstract:
This autoethnographic study qualitatively explores a trainee's journey towards becoming a clinical psychologist in South Africa. Both the formal and informal processes for becoming a psychotherapist are explored. The formal processes governing the training and registration of a clinical psychologist in South Africa are outlined. A critical appraisal of the training program is covered. The informal processes of the journey of this trainee psychologist is contextualised within the life story of that same person. In so doing a seventeen-year long struggle and academic relationship with UNISA is highlighted, including the insatiable desire and life long dream of the writer in wanting to become a psychologist. An autoethnographic study was done by using the researcher as the only research subject. The personal writings of the researcher and her family serve as the primary data for the study. An autoethnographic approach was employed in creating and collecting the data. The stories are presented in narrative form, and the data are analysed by employing narrative analysis for extracting and highlighting initial and inferred themes.
Psychology
M. A.
