Abstract:
Two new species of Eleutherodactylus from the Valle de Sibundoy, Putumayo, Colombia, are described. These species can be distinguished easily from similar species by external morphology and by their distinctive coloration patterns. This report demonstrates that southwestern Colombia continues to be one of the least studied regions in terms of its amphibian fauna.

Abstract Andinia panica, previously known exclusively from the type locality in Ecuador, is reported for the first time from Colombia. Characteristic of population found in Valle de Sibundoy is provided together with photographs of the specimen and information about its habitat. Moreover, the comparative morphology of species included in Andinia subgenus Minuscula, is presented together with the key to species identification.

Abstract:
La génesis de los suelos comprende el estudio de los factores y procesos de formación de estos; es la síntesis y la explicación del porqué de los suelos y de sus características y distribución. El conocimiento de la génesis, evolución, mineralogía y estado actual de los suelos se convierte en una herramienta fundamental para el ordenamiento territorial y productivo y la conservación de zonas estratégicas. El Valle del Sibundoy, ubicado al noroccidente del departamento de Putumayo, cuenta con una extensión aproximada de 9100 ha (IGAC, 2014); en esta superficie se realizó un levantamiento de suelos a escala semidetallada, y con este se determinaron los factores que rigen su origen y se infirieron los procesos que se han dado y que han dejado marcas en el perfil del suelo. Se diseñó un sistema de muestreo en red rígida, donde se distribuyeron 402 cajuelas, cada 25 ha, aproximadamente; posteriormente, se caracterizaron 71 perfiles modales. Con los datos obtenidos en campo y los resultados del laboratorio se concluyó que los factores que rigen la geogénesis en la zona de estudio son, en primera instancia, el relieve; en segunda, el material parental, y en tercera, el clima y la acción de los organismos a través del tiempo; además, se identificaron tres tendencias específicas de evolución: andolización, paludización y gleyzación; cada uno de estos procesos específicos se corroboró con análisis micromorfológicos.

Abstract:
Con este artículo queremos presentar un análisis de la gran diversidad cultural indígena existente en el continente sudamericano, como parte inicial del estudio y soporte de la investigación. También es una reflexión desde la mirada de diferentes autores sobre el pensamiento del hombre, en relación con su naturaleza, arquetipos, cosmogonía y ritos, y como este se teje con la historia de los pueblos o etnias kamentzá e inga. Comunidades habitantes del Valle de Sibundoy en el departamento de Putumayo, Colombia. Desde este horizonte queremos hacer visible la influencia marcada de las culturas amerindias y orientales, y como han tenido gran relevancia e importancia en las demás culturas del continente. De igual manera, observamos la naturaleza del arte indígena y su estética como parte importante en el desarrollo de la cosmología y espiritualidad, plasmadas en los diferentes objetos y elementos estéticos propios de la cultura kamentzá e inga.

Abstract:
El presente ensayo fotográfico expone algunas representaciones culturales del festival Clëstrinye o Bëtscnaté (Carnaval del Perdón o el Día Grande)celebrado en el Valle del Sibundoy. Desde una perspectiva analítica y basada en relatos recolectados en campo, estas imágenes relacionan las diversas lógicas de aculturamiento y modificación sociocultural que trajo consigo la misión capuchina a finales del siglo XIX e inicio del XX en el Putumayo (Colombia). De este modo, se observa el Carnaval del Perdón desde un sincretismo simbólico, cultural y religioso que ha perdurado durante décadas en laparte más andina de este departamento.

Abstract:
Este artículo presenta la experiencia etnoeducativa de la Institución Educativa Rural Bilingüe Artesanal Kamëntŝá ubicada en el Valle de Sibundoy, Putumayo, Colombia. Se inicia presentando los elementos constituyentes del currículo de la institución, luego se presentan las difi cultades en la implementación de una educación que tiene en cuenta los elementos culturales de la comunidad indígena Kamëntŝá, posteriormente se describen algunos aprendizajes obtenidos en un proceso de más de 20 años. Finalmente, se expone la experiencia de la enseñanza de las matemáticas escolares y la problemática que se presenta al tratar de estudiar los elementos etnomatemáticos de la cultura.

Abstract:
Drawing from child personal memories, stories, and participation in different ceremonies in Sibundoy (Colombia), as well as from scholarly papers and books on the Kamëntšá culture, a native culture settled in the southwest of Colombia, I discuss the constituted and constituting meanings of a native culture. The main argument is that storytelling, dancing, and yajé ceremonies are Kamëntšá’s symbolic ways of approaching the quest for meaning. At once constituting and constituted symbols of it, Kamëntšá symbols define its culture and sustain it alive. I use the idea of constituting symbols to underlie the experiences of creativity and adjustment of Kamëntšá people to their historical circumstances and to its natural environment. And I use the concept of constituted symbols to indicate that symbols provide meaning and value to the life because they are historically rooted in the collective memory of the Kamëntšá culture.
