This paper analyzes the bag-making process and control requirements of paper and yarn compounding bag-making machine (PYCBMM). The overall control scheme is established. Configuration software WinCC Flexible 2008, Siemens touch panel MP377, Siemens PLC S7-200, Siemens frequency converter MM440, rotary encoder, color sensor, and other elements are synthetically applied to design the PYCBMM control system. During 12 months commissioning operation, the control system is stable, reliable, and easy to operate. All the technical indices outperform the design requirements.

Abstract:
Enterprise resource planning (ERP) is a state-of-the-art approach to running organizations with the help of comprehensive information systems, providing support for key business processes and more general, for electronic business (e-business). ERP has evolved from earlier approaches, in particular, materials requirement planning (MRP) and manufacturing resource planning (called MRP II) in the 1980s. The focus of MRP and MRP II was on manufacturing firms. The essential problem that MRP attacked was to determine suitable quantities of all parts and materials needed to produce a given master production schedule (also called a “production program”), plus the dates and times when those quantities had to be available. Application packages for MRP have been available from the 1960s on. In the beginning, they were mostly provided by hardware vendors like IBM, Honeywell Bull, Digital Equipment, Siemens, etc. MRP was later expanded to closed-loop MRP to include capacity planning, shop floor control, and purchasing, because as Oliver Wight (1884) puts it: “Knowing what material was needed was fine, but if the capacity wasn’t available, the proper material couldn’t be produced” (p. 48). The next step in the evolution was MRP II (manufacturing resource planning). According to the father of MRP II, Oliver Wight, top management involvement in the planning is indispensable. Therefore, MRP II expands closed-loop MRP “to include the financial numbers that management needs to run the business and a simulation capability” (Wight, 1984, p. 54). Enterprise resource planning (ERP) has its roots in the earlier MRP II concepts, but it extends those concepts substantially into two directions. ERP takes into account that other types of enterprises than those producing physical goods need comprehensive information system (IS) support as well, and even in the manufacturing industry, there are more areas than those directly related to the production of goods that are critical for the success of a business.

The invasive measurement of the hepatic venous pressure gradient is still considered as the reference method to assess the severity of portal hypertension. Even though previous studies have shown that the liver stiffness measured by elastography could predict portal hypertension in patients with chronic liver disease, the mechanisms behind remain today poorly understood. The main reason is that the liver stiffness is not specific to portal hypertension and is also influenced by concomitant pathologies, such as cirrhosis. Portal hypertension is also source of a vascular incidence, with a substantial diversion of portal venous blood to the systemic circulation, bypassing the liver. This study focuses on this vascular effect of portal hypertension. We propose to generate and control the portal venous flow (to isolate the modifications in the portal venous flow as single effect of portal hypertension) in an anesthetized pig and then to quantify its implications on liver stiffness by an original combination of MRE and 4D-Flow Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). A catheter balloon is progressively inflated in the portal vein and the peak flow, peak velocity magnitude and liver stiffness are quantified in a 1.5T MRI scanner (AREA, Siemens Healthcare, Erlangen, Germany). A strong correlation is observed between the portal peak velocity magnitude, the portal peak flow or the liver stiffness and the portal vein intraluminal obstruction. Moreover, the comparison of mechanical and flow parameters highlights a correlation with the possibility of identifying linear relationships. These results give preliminary indications about how liver stiffness can be affected by portal venous flow and, by extension, by hypertension.
