The first part of the paper introduces the definition of the term Silesian harm and describes ways in which it can be observed among Upper Silesians. Further, the author elaborates on how the phenomenon emerged during the interwar period and how it was strengthened during and after the World War II, which led to exacerbation of national and ethnic conflicts in Upper Silesia. The article presents events in Silesia during the Napoleonic Wars. They were discussed both the 1806/1807 campaign, known as the War of the Fortress, in which the Prussians defended Silesia against Napoleonic troops, as well as the Polish uprising in New Silesia, which decided the further fate of this land incorporated into Prussia in 1795. In the years 1945–1950, the autochthons in Upper Silesia underwent nationality verification and repolonization. These processes gave rise to distrust of the Polish administration and the Women’s League, which was identified with the new government. Forest age at every study plot was 70-100 years. The main census method was the detection of ultrasound signals along line transects. The Hławiczka Brothers, Karol (1894-1976) and Adam (1908-1995), were composers and organists connected with Cieszyn Silesia. The analysis is based on the basic division of comedy: situation, verbal and characters. In numerous medical reports and scientific papers, it is unequivocally stated that dirty hands increase the risk of gastrointestinal, respiratory and skin infections. The aim of the present study was to assess hand hygiene practices in Silesia, Poland. In 2012, 400 persons were observed in public toilets located in shopping centres of Silesia.
